Chapter 51
~~∞∞Ω∞∞~~
Everyone watched as the story finished and Atemu had his arms wrapped around Yami very tightly. Yugi had moved aside when he felt Atemu moving slightly and out of Yami's arms.
"It took a while for me to gain my strength back after that. A lot of practice move on both tail and legs. It had gone though muscle and it was a pain to gain that strength again. But after months I was able to regain control and use my tail like I once did."
"Had they not ripped it out as they did there would have been less damage and would have been quicker and easier for Yami to recover." Akefia said.
Yugi looked down at Yami's tail, he knew where the scar was having found it when he met Yami. Yugi saw Atemu with his arms wrapped around Yami and his hand resting down near Yami's scar, even if he wasn't trying to let anyone know where it was.
"This is the reason I'm reluctant to allow you three to leave. Your safety after this cannot be guaranteed once you leave." Atemu said. "They will torture you till you give up the information and even if we erase your memory of what happened because you were missing they will know you were in contact with us. Your grandfather on the other hand we can easily let you say goodbye and erase his memory, they won't know any different. Because he hasn't been missing they won't have a clue he was in touch with you."
"So we can never see our families again?" Malik asked looked at all the naga's in the room.
"No I'm sorry."
"Why did you kidnap us then."
"You found the entrance and were going to tell the team so you left us no choice."
"Why couldn't you have erased our memories when we were unconscious and left us where we were."
"Because you didn't awaken till the next morning in the tunnel. By then it was too late to let you go. Had you awakened an hour after us getting you we could have easily done just that and put you back where you were sucked down from, keeping the GPS of course." Akefia replied
"If we had let you go any time after the tunnel it would have been too suspicious because you were wandering the length of the cliff face and couldn't get lost from there so they would still have tortured you." Mariku said.
"I can leave an imprint in your grandfathers mind Yugi so he won't be as saddened by your passing when he returns home and that won't raise any suspicion among the hunters. He will have accepted your deaths and will have the normal amount of grief when telling anyone."
"Can we let grandfather decide?"
"Of course, either the imprint or full erase he can choose from." Atemu said.
"When can we go?" Ryou asked.
"Well it's almost dusk now so we will get you three rugged up and then we can head out." Yami said.
Atemu let Yami climb off him as he then moved around to the corner where Mariku kept his animal furs. He grabbed an animal fur and turned to Yugi and he draped it over his shoulders and Yugi pulled it around him before letting out a yelp as he was suddenly lifted into his arms and Yugi instinctively wrapped his arms around his neck. Atemu chuckled as Yugi glared at him for it as he let go of Atemu's neck and wrapped the animal skin back around him properly.
Akefia did the same with Ryou and they turned to Mariku, Marik and Malik see Malik rugged up in two animal furs and in Mariku's arms. As Malik was still weak he was wrapped up so he didn't risk getting sick again.
"All ready?" Atemu asked.
Everyone nodded and Atemu moved out of the chamber and down the halls. Yugi was fidgeting in his arms and did that the whole way through the halls. When they got to the large hall that they first woke in, Atemu moved to a section of wall and repositioned Yugi in his arms and waved one hand in front of the wall before it started moving before a tunnel was revelled behind it. Atemu held Yugi again started down the tunnel with the others following.
"Atemu where does this go?"
"It will go close to the camp but once we come back it will fill back in again will sand. It doesn't stay this way. This makes us not need to go topside in the cold air. But its only for a certain distance."
Yugi nodded and looked forward but couldn't see anything but pitch black. He could only assume that Atemu could see where he was going even if he couldn't. Yugi didn't know if he like hearing that the tunnel wouldn't be there when they come back. It made him feel a little uneasy about the whole thing, if there was a possibility that the whole thing could cave in without Atemu's doing.
Atemu and Yami sensing his worry could understand why he would be worried. It had taken them a little while to perfect it and they could now keep it open for days if they needed to but it was draining.
"Relax it won't collapse in on us. I can hold it open for days before it needs to be filled in."
"Why's that?"
"Its draining on our magic. We perfected it but there is a limit to some of our magic abilities. But this could last for five days at the moment so we are safe."
Yugi settled hearing this, not as worried about what could happen if it collapsed. Yugi laid his head on Atemu's shoulder as his movements were soothing and smooth. He just hoped he didn't fall asleep and miss them leaving and approaching the camp.

After a couple of hours Atemu shook Yugi slightly as he was dozing slightly, jerking in and out of consciousness.
"We are almost there." Atemu said as Yugi opened his eyes and looked at him.
Yugi looked around and saw stars in the sky as they left the cave opening. Smiling Yugi looked around, he saw off in the distance by the cliff there were lights on, indicating the campsite. Yugi heard Bakura talking to Ryou as to wake him up and Mariku talking to Malik.
Atemu started off in that direction sticking close to the cliff face. Yugi fidgeted as he waited till they got closer. As they reached the first tent Yugi was set on his feet so he could lead them through the camp to his grandfathers tent.
It was easy to get through the camp as most were already asleep. Yugi found his grandfather's tent to find the light was still on inside. Yugi quietly went inside along with everyone else. Yami put up a soundproofing around the tent so no one would hear anything coming from inside.
Yugi saw his grandfather sitting at his desk looking at a photo. Yugi had a feeling it was a photo of himself or even himself and his friends. Checking with Yami and when he saw him nod, he knew it was safe to talk, he just hoped he didn't give him a heart attack at the same time.
"Ji-chan."
