Sorry for the delay. I had writers block, and a bunch of doctors appointments, but I will make sure this story will be finished :) thank you for the reviews.
So wait... What happened?" Wanda sputtered, choking on a mouthful of crackers. "I said, backstage, Carlos kissed me, and told me he liked me." DA replied. It was Saturday, and the girls were at DA's house for a sleepover. "And you rejected him?" Keesha added in disbelief. DA shrugged. "I'm not ready for more relationship drama. After getting broken by Judd, I'm not sure I'm ready to get back in the dating world. "That's understandable," Keesha began. "But you can't stay like that forever. One day, you'll wake up, and forget who Judd is entirely." DA shrugged. "I know, but..." "Do you still love him?" Phoebe asked. DA looked at her in horror. "What? He cheated on me! Why would I..." "Not Judd." Phoebe began. "I meant Carlos." DA paused. "What do you mean?" She asked. Phoebe rolled her eyes. "Don't dodge the question." DA squirmed. "I... I don't know... I mean, when he kissed me, it felt like my blood was lit on fire, something Judd never accomplished, but..." The three girls looked at each other. "I see." Kesha began. "DA?" Wanda began. "What was your original song going to be?" DA looked up from her apple slices. "What do you mean?" "Well... Originally, Carlos was supposed to be singing that night, and I know you weren't in an Alanis Morrisette mood, so what was your original song?" DA paused. "Well... Looking back, it's kinda stupid." "DA... Were all best friends here." Keesha reassured. "Trust us." DA fidgeted. "Okay, but you have to SWEAR you won't laugh." The girls nodded. "... Kissing you by Miranda Cosgrove." The girls raised an eyebrow. "Wow, and you had already split with Judd." Wanda laughed "I wasn't going to sing it for Judd!" DA snapped, her face going red. "Then who..." Phoebe began. "Neither Carlos!" DA interrupted. The girls looked at each other and burst into laughter. "I don't..." DA let out an exasperated sigh, then turned to look at her star.
If there's a prize for rotten judgement
I guess I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
At that point, Keesha, Wanda and Phoebe noticed her singing as gathered around.
That's ancient history, been there, done that!
Looking at each other, the others chimed in.
Who'd' ya think you're kiddin'
He's the Earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden
Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, ya can't conceal it
We know how ya feel and
Who you're thinking of
At that point, Wanda pulled out a group photo of all eight people, and showed it to DA. DA tossed it in a corner and turned to her friends.
DA:
No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no
Others:
You swoon, you sigh
why deny it, uh-oh
DA:
It's too cliche
I won't say I'm in love
I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming get a grip, girl
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
Oh
Others:
You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When ya gonna own up
That ya got, got, got it bad
DA:
Whoa: No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no
Others:
Give up, give in
Keesha:
Check the grin you're in love
DA:
This scene won't play,
I won't say I'm in love
Others:
You're doin' flips read our lips
You're in love
DA:
You're way off base
I won't say it
Others
She must be in love
DA:
Get off my case
I won't say it
Others:
Girl, don't be proud
It's O.K. you're in love
At that point, DA looked down, remembering the butterflies she got when he kissed her and serenely smiled to herself.
DA:
Oh
At least out loud,
I won't say I'm in love
"Called you on it!" Wanda cried out. DA buffeted her with a pillow, causing the girls to start a pillow fight. Once they finished, and the room was full of feathers, the girls lay flopped down. "Anyways, he still has to prove to me I'm not like the others." DA finished.
