What's going on, readers? Last chapter, Owen won his sixth badge thanks to Heatmor's efforts and Puff defeating Swanna in a winner take all matchup. After winning, Owen met Mark Fudo, Shadix's step-brother and a member of the Unova Elite 4. Then, they took off towards Celestial Tower after seeing an explosion! What's going to happen this chapter? Mark and Owen ran down the dirt path that led to Celestial Tower, and they watched as another explosion occurred at the very peak of the monumental structure. Snivy stared up at the cloud of smoke and then at Mark. The Elite Four member was going to have to do the bulk of the work because Owen only had two Pokemon at full health while the others were exhausted from their gym battle.
"Umbreon, I choose you!" Mark shouted. The dark type eeveelution appeared in front of her trainer and looked up at Mark calmly. "This is an emergency, Umbreon. There's some weird stuff going on at the top of this tower, and I need you to help out," Mark told his Pokemon. Umbreon nodded and prepared to run into the tower with the two trainers, but a screaming teen stopped them from doing so.
"Owen! What's going on, man?" Dante asked as he ran after his rival and Mark. "Want to battle?"
Owen and Mark looked at each other as if they were being punk'd and they turned back to Dante. "Did you see the explosions at the top of Celestial Tower?" Owen asked as if Dante was blind.
"Yeah, why? That doesn't have anything to do with us battling," Dante replied, causing Owen and Mark to deadpan.
"Dante, just come with us into the tower, and you two can battle after we find out what's going on," Mark told the idiot standing in front of him. Dante nodded and followed the two other trainers and their Pokemon into the base of Celestial Tower. The three teens looked around at the area and saw a few plaques for deceased Pokemon scattered across the floor. The walls were made up of pale bricks, and there was a spiraling staircase that led to the next floor.
"Let's check out the next floor," Mark told the two younger boys while sprinting up the stairs with his Umbreon. Owen, Snivy, and Dante followed after the powerful trainer and arrived at the second floor, which was identical to the first. After scaling another flight of stairs, the trio of boys saw two women dressed in yellow standing over an old man.
"Stop trying to be a hero, grandpa. Get out of here," the blonde woman on the left spat while kicking the man. "I say we end this senile dunce. What do you think?" the familiar blonde asked while looking at her brunette partner.
"Definitely. Tyranitar, come out and use Dark Pulse!"
"Umbreon, use Shadow Ball!" Mark yelled. Umbreon ran forward and fired a large purple ball of energy at the two women. Both of the evildoers turned around and dove away from the attack, and the old man got up and ran over to Mark.
"Thank you, young man. You saved my life." Mark smiled at the man before he hurried down the stairs and the two women stood up while wiping their yellow uniforms clean.
"So they brought the Elite Four in. This is going to be interesting," the brunette muttered. She then gasped when Owen stepped forward and stood by Mark's side with a Pokeball in his hand, which made the brunette turn to her blonde friend.
"I thought you killed him," she whispered nervously while drawing a Pokeball from her pocket.
"So did I," the blonde shot back while preparing to throw a Pokeball and release her Dragonite. "We're not letting you two get past us. Our boss has some business to do." Much to her surprise, Dante stepped forward while releasing his Lucario, Aura, from her Pokeball.
"We're not going to back down. Let us by, otherwise I'll be forced to take action," Mark warned the older women coldly. The yellow suited foes exchanged smirks before cackling at Mark's words before throwing their Pokeballs. A Haxorus appeared alongside a Dragonite, and both Pokemon roared powerfully. Owen looked at the two trainers to his sides while grabbing a Pokeball of his Pokebelt. Just as he went to throw it, Mark's hand caught Owen's arm. "We've got this. Just run as fast as you can," Mark instructed as he looked at the stairs to his and Owen's left.
"Are you sure?" Owen inquired nervously. Mark nodded confidently before giving Dante a thumbs up. The spiky haired trainer responded with a simple nod of his head before he and Mark stepped a few feet closer to the women and their Pokemon.
"Aura, use Flash Cannon!"
"Umbreon, use Shadow Ball!"
As soon as he heard the commands, Owen bolted over to the winding staircase with Snivy holding onto her trainer's shirt. The two women glanced worriedly before shifting their focus back to the attacking trainers.
"Stone Edge!" the brunettes ordered. Her Tyranitar roared while firing dozens of sharp stones at the incoming attacks, which caused an explosion. Smoke filled the room and the four trainers covered their faces so they wouldn't breathe in the awful air. Owen had turned to see the smoke fill the room, but he and Snivy continued their way up the stairs before reaching the top of the tower.
The fourteen year old and his starter looked around the flat peak - which didn't have any rails - before their eyes settled on a figure wearing a bright yellow cape. It also had a pair of yellow pants on along with yellow shoes, which was obnoxious to look at. The figure turned to face Owen, revealing its identity.
Owen gasped in shock and rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Sure enough, his eyes were telling the truth, and the person in yellow laughed maniacally while stepping towards Owen and Snivy.
"JT? You're the leader of Team Solar!?"
"That's right. I've been looking forward to this for quite some time," the strange blonde turned his back to Owen and began walking towards a strange silver structure. "This bell is the most historic landmark in all of Unova, and when rung, brings peace and sanctity to the entire region," JT told Owen while running his hand over the bell. "When I destroy it, chaos will run ramped."
"Why would you do that? Aren't you trying to take control of Unova?" Owen shouted while drawing a Pokeball from his belt.
"Precisely. That's why I'm going to become the leader of a charge that blames the government for the destruction of this bell. Everyone is already skeptical of the government's actions, so it'll be easy to crush them under my might! Once the Elite Four crumbles, I'll reign with an iron fist!"
"I'm not going to let you do that! Krokorok, go!" Owen shouted while throwing the aforementioned Pokemon's Pokeball. The spherical device opened and the disobedient ground type appeared in front of Owen with his arms crossed. An annoyed look was plastered on his face, but he focused on JT.
"So this is where we're going to have our battle? Hydreigon, appear!" Owen scowled when he saw the pseudo legendary appear in front of JT while unleashing a defining roar. Snivy and Krokorok trembled in fear, but Krokorok attempted to mask his fear of the dragon and dark type. "After our little confrontation ends, this bell is going to be destroyed," JT stated while glaring at Owen.
"Not on our watch! Krokorok, use Dragon Claw!" Owen ordered. Krokorok charged towards Hydreigon before jumping up and trying to bite the large dragon. JT simply laughed at Krokorok's refusal to listen, and he snapped his fingers. Hydreigon flew back and took off to the sky, causing Krokorok to land on the ground face first.
"Dragon Pulse!" Hydreigon's three mouths opened and fired three spiraling beams of light blue energy, all of which crushed Krokorok and knocked him out instantly.
"Krokorok, return!" Owen shouted as he zapped the sand crocodile back into his Pokeball. Owen then grabbed two more Pokeballs and threw them into the air. "Puff and Heatmor, go!" The two Pokemon appeared in front of Owen and Snivy while looking at JT and his Hydreigon. Snivy looked at her two teammates and ran to their sides despite being terrified of Hydreigon.
"Hydreigon, end this with another Dragon Pulse," JT told his Pokemon disappointedly. Hydreigon didn't hesitate to attack the three Pokemon and fired three separate beams of spiraling energy towards each of them.
"Dodge it and use Leech Seed, Sing, and Fire Pledge!" Owen countered. Snivy and Heatmor both dove away from the incoming dragon type attack while Puff attempted to float over. The inflatable Pokemon's efforts went in vein, however, as she was obliterated by the wicked attack before being sent flying behind Owen. The amber eyed trainer zapped the fainted Pokemon back into her Pokeball and then turned to look at his two remaining Pokemon.
Snivy launched a small brown seed at Hydreigon, but the large Pokemon flew away from the attack. Heatmor then slammed his fist on the ground while Hydreigon was focused on Snivy, and he was engulfed in a column of fire.
"Way to go, Heatmor!" Owen cheered. Heatmor beamed at his trainer's support, but his happiness was dashed when Hydreigon flew out of the fire and grabbed Snivy with one of its smaller heads. "Snivy, use Vine Whip to pry its mouth open!" Owen yelled. Snivy's vines wrapped around Hydreigon's mouth and tried opening the Pokemon's jaw wide enough so she could escape.
"Throw Snivy!" JT yelled. Hydreigon began to spin around violently, causing Snivy to become too dizzy to continue opening Hydreigon's mouth. The gigantic Pokemon then let go of Snivy and sent her crashing into Owen. The force of her impact nearly sent Owen and Snivy off the tower, but Owen stopped just before the edge. The fourteen year old stood up and began to walk forward while holding his fainted starter in his arms while Heatmor ran back to his side.
"Heatmor, use Flame Wheel!" Owen commanded. Heatmor began to cover himself in fire while spinning towards Hydreigon and JT, who were both amused by the attack.
"Fly in the air and then hit Owen with a Dragon Pulse!" JT ordered. Hydreigon smirked at the order and flew in the air before zipping over to Owen and Snivy while Heatmor turned to prevent his trainer from being harmed. Owen attempted to run away from Hydreigon, but the three headed beast grabbed him with its two smaller heads and began to fly in the air, preventing Heatmor from stopping the attack.
"Heatmor, catch Snivy!" Owen shouted before letting go of his starter. Heatmor looked up and locked onto Snivy as she fell into his arms. The anteater Pokemon continued to watch as his trainer struggled to break away from Hydreigon's grasp. The fire type then watched Hydreigon drop Owen before flying over him and unleashing a single ray of spiraling energy.
"Hee!" Heatmor shouted while springing into the air in an attempt to block the attack. He was too slow, however, and he watched as Owen was hit by the Dragon Pulse, which sent him crashing against the bricks that acted as the floor. After Heatmor landed on the ground, he ran over to Owen and looked at his trainer's wound. A large burn mark covered his stomach, and he was bleeding profusely, which made Heatmor frantically search for something to cover the wound.
"It's no use. Your trainer will die any second," JT told the fire type that was trying so desperately to save his trainer.
"He's right, Heatmor," Owen whispered weakly while coughing up blood. Heatmor picked Snivy up and ran over to Owen while tears were running down his face. Owen smiled faintly while reaching his arm out and putting his hand on Heatmor's shoulder. The anteater flinched at his trainer's cold touch and stared at him, seeing the smile on Owen's face disappear. A lifeless look covered Owen's face as his arm went limp and fell to the ground, causing Heatmor to start nudging the teen in an attempt to wake him up.

"Owen? Owen, wake up!" Heatmor cried while nudging the teen. JT and his Hydreigon began laughing at Heatmor before turning to face the bell. "No, tho can't happen! Not again!"
Heatmor snuck back into the hospital he had exited earlier in the day, and he crept down the hallway. He poked his head through each door to see if the yellow haired boy was there. After searching an entire floor, Heatmor ran up the stairs at the end of a hall and searched through the next hundred doors. While looking into the second room on the floor, Heatmor found the boy he was searching for, and he ran over to the boy's side. His eyes were closed, and the monitor for his heartbeat was turned off.
"What are you doing in here?" a voice asked. Heatmor turned around quickly to see a man in a white coat looking at him. "Oh… this is your trainer. His parents told me you'd be coming around," the man said to Heatmor. The fire type nodded and stood on a chair to see the ten year old's face. His eyes were closed, and Heatmor saw that he wasn't breathing. He turned to look at the doctor and pointed at the boy nervously, but the doctor shook his head while walking over to Heatmor.
He placed a hand on Heatmor's back and let out a sigh before sitting down next to Heatmor. The Pokemon looked into the doctor's eyes and saw that he had a pained look in his eyes.
"Heatmor, Chris is dead. We did everything we could, but the wound punctured his heart. There's nothing we could've done to save his life. I'm sorry," the man told Heatmor bluntly before burying his face into his hands. Heatmor looked at the yellow haired boy and felt a stream of tears pour down his face. He turned back to the doctor to see that the man was shaking his head, but he spoke up. "He told me to tell you that he loved you, and you were the best Pokemon a trainer could ask for." Heatmor looked at the doctor before running out of the room while crying.
His trainer was dead, and there was nothing he could do to bring him back.
"Owen!" Heatmor screamed again while shaking his trainer. He turned to see Snivy laying on the ground with her eyes shut, and then he looked at JT and his Hydreigon. They were staring at him and laughing as if Owen's death was some sort of joke, which made Heatmor stand up. "YOU!" Heatmor roared while pointing at JT, who stopped laughing, but an obnoxious smirk crept across his face.
A wave of rage began to build in his stomach, and the unexplainable rage filled his body. His vision quickly began to disappear, and his breathing began to pickup. Suddenly, he blacked out, and his appearance began to change. The holes on Heatmor's wrists began releasing steady amounts of fire, while his tail did the same. The normally brown colored parts of his body had turned bright red, while the yellow parts of his body turned pure black.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Heatmor roared. JT's grin vanished when Heatmor took of running and slammed into Hydreigon. The dragon and dark type was launched back, and Heatmor began shrieking in rage while releasing a wave of fire from his mouth.

"What is that?" Skyla asked while looking at the top of Celestial Tower. A bright flame had shot straight into the air for nearly half a minute, and she looked at Owen's friends in confusion. Fate and CJ looked on nervously while Rebecca shared Skyla's confusion.
"Heatmor's going crazy," Fate told the older girl. "Something bad had to have happened."

"Hydreigon, use Dragon Rush!" JT shouted to the fully evolved Pokemon. Hydreigon took off towards the irate fire type while a blue dragon head appeared around his body, and he prepared to slam into Heatmor. Much to his surprise, Heatmor launched himself straight into the air, causing Hydreigon to crash against the floor. Heatmor's body was suddenly encapsulated in fire and he began to spin while crashing down towards Hydreigon. Before he could even blink, JT watched as his only Pokemon was crushed underneath the attack, and a burst of fire shot straight into the air.
Heatmor hopped off Hydreigon's body and then began walking over to JT, who backed away nervously.
"Hydreigon, let's get out of here!" JT yelled to his Pokemon. Hydreigon took off into the air while JT jumped off the tower. Thankfully for JT, his Hydreigon was fast enough to catch him, and he flew off into the distance, leaving Heatmor by himself. The fire type reverted back to his normal state and dropped to his knees in exhaustion. Then, he turned and ran back over to Owen, who wasn't breathing.
(Switch POV)
"Please, don't die," Heatmor begged his deceased trainer. "You can't die. Owen, please!" Heatmor screamed. His trainer didn't move a muscle, causing Heatmor to punch the ground in rage.
"You shall be spared, just this once," a hazy voice whispered into Heatmor's ear, causing him to look around in confusion. Once he focused back on his trainer, Heatmor saw a light ring of energy spiraling around Owen's wounds. The light flashed, and the wounds suddenly disappeared. Owen then slowly sat up and rubbed his aching head.
"Owen!" Heatmor shrieked while tackling his trainer.
(Switch POV)
"Heatmor, what happened? I mean… I know what happened, but why am I alive?" Owen quizzed as he got up and zapped Snivy back into her Pokeball. Heatmor shrugged and then pointed at the bell, which was still intact. "I saw what happened, somehow. I think we need to talk."
Wow, that was an awful chapter. I didn't get into writing it at all, so that's probably why. So, Heatmor went nuts and stopped JT and his Hydreigon, and now he and Owen are going to have a talk. Next chapter is most likely going to be really short, so don't expect much to happen. Till next time, peace out.
