Well, it took a while, but this is the last chapter of my story. Please enjoy, and thank-you for staying by me through thick and thin, and for taking time to read my fanfic. Well, on with the last chapter.

It was time. The grand finale of the battle of the bands. What Drug-X had been preparing for their whole school year. "Okay, you guys." Tim began, "you guys are ready?" It was a few hours prior to the final match, and Tim was giving his friends a walkthrough for the finals. DA, Carlos and Ralphie nodded. "Good." Tim replied, "you need to go to Rupin Hall for your final match. I can't reveal too much, but we'll all be there for you." "Thank you, Tim." DA began, hugging him. "Yeah, man!" Ralphie added. "You've stood by us this whole time." Tim nodded at his friends. "Well, I'm happy I was able to help. You three will do fine." The three of them turned and headed to Ralphie's car. "See you guys there." Tim added. The three of them nodded and drove to Rupin Hall. After a couple of wrong turns, they made it to the hall. "You guys ready?" Ralphie asked. Carlos and DA nodded. "Well, remember, no matter what happens, were still winners." Carlos threaded his fingers through DA's and the two of them smiled at each other. "Let's rock this thing!" Ralphie screamed, opening the door and running into the hall. "You ready?" Carlos asked. DA nodded. "I am a little nervous..." She began. "It's going to be alright." Carlos replied. DA nodded and the two of them headed into the hall. It was full of people, some were eliminated bands, some were students and the rest, DA and Carlos hadn't seen before and somewhere there were speakers playing Sarah McLachlan's Possession. "You made it!" Wanda cried, running over to them. "Hey, Wanda." DA grinned. "Ooh! I am so stoked!" She squealed. "If you guys win! You'll get cash and maybe even a record deal!" Turning, she grabbed DA by the hand. "Come on, you weasly wimp." She added, towing her into the bathroom, "you're not in your Drug-X uniform!" Carlos had to laugh as DA managed to quickly blow him a kiss goodbye. "Where's DA?" Ralphie asked, coming up behind him. "Wanda stole her for a bit. She's getting a makeover." Carlos explained. "Well, I have to warn you, He who Must Not be Named just walked through the door." "Voldemort?" Carlos asked in surprise. "I thought he would still be in Hogwarts, glad he got my invite." "Carlos!" Ralphie groaned. "I meant Judd." "Well, he is a finalist." Carlos replied, "as much as I would like him to go into a deep dark hole and die, I have no say." The two of them watched in amusement as Judd started making out with Molly. "Wow... He moves fast." Ralphie laughed. Carlos was about to say something new, when someone tapped him on the shoulder. Turning, they saw Phoebe. "I would like to present to you, Dorothy Ann Fields." She sidestepped and DA nervously headed over to them. Her long blond hair was tied into a ponytail, she was wearing a black skirt, purple tank top, boots and fishnet leggings. "Hey guys." DA nervously began. "You look amazing." Carlos began. "Well well well." A new voice replied. Turning, Carlos saw that Judd had abandoned his make out session with Molly and had made his way over. "Nice to see you, Dory." He scoffed. "Trying to make people think you're not pristine?" DA turned to look at Carlos and quietly snickered. That motion went over Judd's head. "Listen, Dory." He continued. "Don't call me that." She hissed. "Don't cry too hard when you're booed offstage." With that, he turned and walked away. Carlos was about to say something new, but the speakers stopped playing music and the lights dimmed. "Are you ready?" The announcer asked. The crowd responded by screams and cheering. "I'd like to introduce the judges!" The announcer continued. "Ms. Molly Cule, Mr. Archibald Seedplot and Ms. Valerie Frizzle!" The crowd cheered again as the three judges came onstage. "These judges are holding the key to success, but only one band may take it. Now I would like one member from each band to come up." After a bit of debating, DA and Carlos sent Ralphie up onstage. Judd and Janet were also up. "Now, I need the three of you to draw a number." The announcer continued, pulling out a bag. Once everything was said and done, the finals were ready to begin, starting with Galamorous. Heading onstage, Janet took a deep breath and sang:

Can I ask you a question, please?

Promise you won't laugh at me

Honestly I'm standing here

Afraid I'll be betrayed

As twisted as it seems

I only fear love when it's in my dreams

So let in the morning light

And let the darkness fade away

Can you turn my black roses red?

Can you turn my black roses red?

Drowning in my loneliness

How long must I hold my breath?

So much emptiness inside

I could fill the deepest sea

I reach to the sky as the moon looks on

My one last year has come and gone

Time to let your love rain down on me

Can you turn my black roses red?

Can you turn my black roses red?

Can you turn my black roses red?

'Cuz I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love, yeah, yeah

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

Can you turn my black roses red?

Can you turn my black roses red?

Can you turn my black roses red?

'Cuz I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love, yeah, yeah

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

(Can you turn my black roses red?)

'Cuz I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

(Can you turn my black roses red?)

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love

(Can you turn my black roses red?)

When she finished the last note, there was a ripple of cheers throughout the crowd. Janet slunk back into the audience, and waited as Malachite went onstage. Instead of their usual instruments to play My Way, as Judd had suggested, they began with an almost creepy techno feel. As the chords began, Judd began singing:

The road I walk is paved in gold

To glorify my platinum soul

I'll buy my way to talk to God

So he can live with what I'm not

The selfish blood runs through my veins

I gave up everything for fame

I am the lie that you adore

I feed the rich and f*** the poor

I got what you want, it just don't stop

This is entertainment; Lies are entertainment

You are down on your knees begging me for more

The road I walk is paved in gold

To glorify my platinum soul

I am the closest thing to God

So worship me and never stop

The wretched blood runs through my veins

I gave up everything for fame

I am the lie that you adore

Now feed the rich, f*** the poor

I got what you want, it just don't stop

This is entertainment; Lies are entertainment

You are down on your knees begging me for more

Dear future:

I bought you, I own the right

to let go; destroy you. This is my life.

And I...

I got what you want, it just don't stop

This is entertainment; Lies are entertainment

You are down on your knees begging me for more

Begging me for more. Begging me for more.

I got what you want. It just don't stop.

"It's amazing how that song suits him." DA grumbled as Judd winked at a random audience member and left the stage. Finally, Drug-X had to go. They set up their instruments, as Ralphie turned and whispered "remember what we agreed." The two of them nodded. Taking a deep breath, they began. Ralphie gently beating his drums, Carlos practically caressing the guitar strings and DA playing soft cords. Finally, Carlos turned to the mike and began:

C: Never knew I could feel like this

Like I've never seen the sky before

Want to vanish inside your kiss

Every day I love you more and more

To the surprise of the audience, Arnold came onstage. Instead of freaking, Carlos turned and handed his guitar to Arnold, who picked up right where he left off. Carlos made his way to DA, singing.

Listen to my heart, can you hear it sing?

Telling me to give you everything

Seasons may change, winter to spring

But I love you until the end of time

Taking her hand, he pulled her away from the keyboard as Keesha slid into DA's place.

Come what may, come what may

I will love you until my dying day

D: Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace

B: Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste

D: It all revolves around you

B: And there's no mountain too high, no river too wide

Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side

Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide

C: But I love you

D: I love you

B: Until the end of time

(Until the end of time)

Come what may, come what may

I will love you until my dying day

Oh, come what may, come what may

I will love you,

Turning, the two of them were staring at each other as DA gently sang

D: I will love you

Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

B: Come what may, come what may

I will love you until my dying day

With that last note, the audience burst into waves of applause. Drug-X took a bow and ran offstage. "We did it!" Ralphie cried, gabbing Keesha and kissing her passionately. "Thank-you for all your help, Keesh!" He added. "Anytime." She smiled. After waiting a bit, the judges finally made their decision. "In second place." The announcer began, "is Galamorous." Janet jumped up, whether or not it was because she was disappointed, no one knew. "And in first place..." The judge pulled out an envelope and began opening it so slowly, the tension was so thick, you could cut it with a cleaver. Finally, he opened it up. "The winner is... DRUG-X!" The crowd went wild. Phoebe jumped up and down, squealing, Wanda threw her hat in the air and Tim shot them the thumbs up. Ralphie looked like he was going to pass out when they were each handed a cheque for thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, Carlos needed to talk to DA about something. Outside. As he lead her out, they passed Judd, and they could have almost sworn he said "congrats, and I'm sorry." Once they made it outside, Carlos took a deep breath. "Okay... I'm very nervous right now." He began. "Dorothy Ann..." He gulped. "You've been a big part of my life ever since we met. From making sand castles in kindergarten, to doing what we just did, I do know you are one of the few things in my life I have no regrets with. Therefor, I was wondering..." DA's eyes widened and he pulled out a ring. "I want to give you a promise ring. After were done high school, and we both have steady jobs, I want to marry you. Do you accept?" DA looked down at the ring. It was a silver band with a cluster of purple and blue gemstones. Then she looked back at her boyfriend. He looked so sincere and nervous, it made her heart flutter. Smiling at him, she said "yes." Carlos slid the ring on her finger then gently kissed her. "I love you, Dorothy Ann." He whispered. "I love you too, Carlos." She replied.

16 years later.

"Have fun at your first day of school, Purple." "Dad! It's Violet!" Violet Ramone complained. After her mom kissed her cheek, and her dad ruffled her blonde hair, she turned and headed onto the bus for her first day of kindergarten. "Hi." A new voice said. Turning, Violet saw a boy around her age. He had hazel eyes and black hair. "May I sit down?" He asked. Violet shrugged and moved over. "What's your name?" The boy asked. "Violet." She replied. "Yours?" The little boy smiled. "I am Judd. Jr."
