Super short chapter this time guys. I'm so sorry for not updating in FOREVER. But I just could not figure out how to get this chapter started. BUT I FINALLY GOT IT. So sorry for taking so long, I hope this chapter makes up for it. I'll try and update again soon. For now, enjoy this.
Everything has gone from chaotic and hectic, to absolutely insane. Ryou could not comprehend this. First the two had barged into his throne room demanding answers, and then the next they're gearing to battle each other. Ryou felt himself begin to shake with uncertainty. He felt the hands of his lover tighten against his shoulder.
"Ryou, what should we do about this? I don't want you to witness this." Yugi asked his lover.
Ryou didn't know how to answer. He wanted to run down there himself and put an end to this. But he could feel the passion, the fire in their auras. He could feel that this rivalry needed to be fought out. But, he didn't want to see anymore blood-shed. His nails dug into the palms of his hands as he watched.
It was about to begin.
He was almost out of time.
What could he possibly do?
"It's time to finish this, Haou." Jehu shouted.
"Bring it on, you son of a bitch." Haou replied.
"Stop this." Ryou mumbled to himself.
"Ryou, please calm down." Yugi said.
Ryou made a swift turn around, he smacked Yugi's hand away. Yugi gasped as he was forced back a few steps. Ryou just stared at him, a look of shock in his face. Ryou blinked.
"Ryou?"
"I'm sorry." Ryou clenched his fists at his sides. "I have to let this go on. They need to fight this out. I realize that it is wrong for there to be more bloodshed then I want, but, I can feel it in their auras." He stopped and cringed as he heard a crash. "I'm just hoping that it ends better then I think it will."
"Ryou I don't understand? The war, the oath we made, does that mean nothing in this situation?" Yugi asked in a betrayed tone.
"It does Yugi, but, look at them." Ryou said. Ryou turned back to watch the battle as it played out. In such a short time, much damage has been made, but they still went strong. Yugi didn't want to watch as much as Ryou did but he did, for his lover's sake. "They have so much rage held in. They need to let it go." Ryou looked over at his lover, a small smile on his face. "I will let them fight it out for now, but if it goes too far I will stop it myself."
Yugi smiled. You're too cute, you know that. Yugi thought to himself. "Very well, but I will be the one to stop them."
"But Yugi, you don't have to."
"I want to. You are still weakened from you're last attack."
Ryou sighed. "As you wish, but please, be careful!"
Yugi wrapped his arms around his lover and nuzzled his neck. "Don't worry; I won't let them hurt you or me." He smiled as he planted a kiss on Ryou's pale skin, right on his collar bone. "I promise."
Jehu just stared into the eyes of Haou as he got into battle position. He moved his hands to his right side; he could feel his aura building up. A dark energy began to form between his finger tips. He could feel a physical form beginning to take place between his fingers. He grabbed hold of the handle and pulled it out from the palm of his hand. With a rough yank he brought his weapon into battle.
The blade was a deep black; the handle was red with a black design. Jehu grinned and pointed said blade towards his opponent who had a grin of his own.
"So, you can create Shadow weapons." Haou observed.
"Don't act surprised. I've used this very weapon on you before. The scar on your back should be proof enough." Jehu responded.
Jehu watched as Haou brought a hand up to his left shoulder blade. "Yes, the scar gives me drive. I appreciate it every day."
"You talk nonsense."
"No, I'm serious." Haou said. He grinned and snapped his arrow in half. Jehu gasped. Haou's aura entered his body again and he brought his fingers together again. "It's given me to the drive to kill you once and for all."
Jehu growled. "It's time to finish this, Haou." Jehu shouted.
Haou brought out his own sword, a Katana of pure white all over. He smirked. "Bring it on, you son of a bitch." Haou replied.
Jehu made his move. He gripped his sword tightly in his hands and sprinted towards the other. He spread his wings, black feathered wings kept him air-bound. He brought his sword up, ready to strike. Haou noticed this and quickly moved out of the way.
"Quit moving. The sooner I cut off your head I can look for my brother." Jehu hissed.
"I think not. The second I give up is the second I admit that demons are superior." Haou said.
Jehu looked over his shoulder with a smirk. "Then I'll gladly make that happen, Angel trash."
"I'll cut off your wings before you can, demon shit."
"I'd like to see you try." Jehu said.
"This is bad." Zane pointed out.
"No shit, they'll destroy the place at this point." Chazz responded.
Zane walked over to his little brother and pulled him back towards himself. "We need to make them stop. We came for answers not a rivalry battle."
"You might as well forget it then. These two don't look like they're going to give until one of them spills blood." Aster interjected.
"I can see that." Zane hissed.
"Well sorry, I was only making a statement." Aster replied.
"Anyways," Blair said. She looked up at the others. "We need to make them stop. No doubt the king is already preparing to stop them himself if this gets out of line."
"Oh right, look where that got him last time." Chazz replied.
"Shut up Chazz." Blair shouted.
"Blair's right Chazz, I can't think with your constant commenting." Zane growled.
"Guys look." Syrus said.
Everyone looked out at the battle in front of them. They watched as the two swung their swords and shouted insults. But, it didn't seem like any ordinary battle to them. The two seemed to…crack a smile every now and then.
Just what kind of fight is this?
Leaves crunched under their feet as they walked. It was getting darker the longer they walked, time was just slipping by. Jesse kept going. He wanted to make it out of this forest area before the sun had completely set. He wanted to figure out just where they were.
"Hey Jess?" Jesse stopped in his tracks. He looked back at Jaden; he could see the other was exhausted. He also noticed the wound seems to have stopped bleeding for now. The brunette took a few breaths of air before continuing. "What exactly are we looking for? You never explained that?"
Jesse walked over to a fallen over tree trunk and sat down on it. Jaden reluctantly sat down beside him. Jesse reached for the blood stained sleeve around the other's arm and began to untie it to examine the wound. He heard Jaden hiss from the wind brushing against the exposed flesh.
"You're wound has finally stopped bleeding but I need to stitch it closed or else it will never heal completely." Jesse explained.
"Alright, but first I want you to tell me what you're looking for, or for that matter, where are you heading?" Jaden replied.
"I don't know where we're going exactly. I'm just trying to figure out where we are. I've tried to contact my brother but I can't seem to reach him. My powers are useless here."
"Are you serious?" Jaden shouted He hung his head and sighed. "Ah man," Jaden scratched his head. "I'm sure Haou is really worried about me by now. We've been walking for hours."
"Yes, I'm sure Jehu is the same."
Jaden looked up at the tree tops. He smiled brightly. "Ah well, the important thing in all this, is that we need to figure out just where the heck it is that we ended up at."
Jesse grinned. "Yes, I agree with you." He stood up and held a hand out. "Let's get going. We're burning daylight."
Jaden nodded and grabbed hold of Jesse's hand. Jesse pulled him up and the two started off again. They were almost out of the forest, if they kept up this pace, they should be out before the sun has completely set.
A clash of swords, the throw of fists, anything and everything caused damage to the two teens. Haou slashed at Jehu's arm. Jehu landed a strike on Haou's right cheek, a small scratch but it still bled. Haou raised a foot and kicked Jehu's chest. He flew back. His back hit the hard marble floor. He groaned from the pain as it escalated quickly. He shakily sat up, he looked up as Haou flew above him.
"You bastard," Jehu hissed. "You'll pay for that."
"You can barely move. I'll say I've won this battle and let you survive if you surrender." Haou said.
Jehu rolled his eyes and stood up. His knees shook. His hands gripped the handle of the sword. "Like hell, I'll let you win."
Haou smiled. "You're pretty strong, Jehu, this battle has been fun, but I'm afraid you'll be the one to die."
Jehu smiled back. "Think again." He pushed up from the floor, his speed and acceleration instantly increased as he speed off towards Haou. The other, surprised by the sudden increase in speed, had no time to react. Jehu's knee came in contact with Haou's gut. Haou felt the air being knocked right out of him. He flew back a few feet, he tried to catch his breath but Jehu came flying right after him. "Just accept your fate." Jehu flipped the sword around and used the hilt of the sword to jab Haou in his side. Haou felt the effects immediately beginning to take over. He needed to act fast. He used his last bit of strength. He raised a fist and rammed it right into Jehu's jaw. Jehu didn't even see it coming. He felt himself lose his balance.
Both teens fell to the marble floor with a crash.
Everything went silent. The two teens just lied there, trying to catch their breaths. They were both utterly exhausted. They don't even know how long they fought each other. But, they knew it was a pretty long time.
"I'm…not finished with you…you hear me." Haou panted.
Jehu smiled as he caught his breath. "As soon as I catch my breath…you're going down."
"You said that…almost an hour ago."
"Well it's still true."
Haou let out a small laugh. "We'll see."
"We'll see indeed."
Both teens gasped, everyone in the room looked around the room. Ryou's eyes shook with rage at hearing that voice. Jehu's shook in fear. Haou sat up from his spot on the floor, he held his side as he looked over at the door way. Jehu sat up and immediately got to his feet. He shakily got down on one knee. He bowed.
Zane, Blair and even Chazz got into the very same position.
Ryou glared at his new "guest" with hatred and disgust. "What are you doing in my court room Bakura, answer me." Ryou shouted.
Bakura gave a sadistic smirk to the king of light. "I could feel the power of one of my own from all the way up here. I got curious to see just who it was. To say, I'm impressed. I had no idea I had a child with such unimaginable talents."
Jehu felt pride run through his veins as he heard his king praise him. He placed a fist over his heart. "Thank you, your highness."
Bakura walked farther into the room. He looked Ryou in the eye the entire time. The tension in the air was so thick, you could almost feel it.
"Our battle of over five thousand years has finally gotten interesting." Bakura stated. He looked over at Jehu who had finally risen to his feet. "Your power will be useful in this war. I would personally like to ask you, join my personal army. You can finally fight for your brethren as a true warrior of the people. What do you say? Your name will go down in history as one of the brave soldiers who helped defeat the Angels and the Realm of light once and for all."
Jehu thought his heart was going to explode from excitement. He was finally getting his chance to fulfill his chance of fighting by his king and defeating these retched angels. But, he still had to find his brother. He didn't know what to do. He was afraid to reject his king, for he feared his life would branded as a traitor to his country. He clenched his fist into the fabric of his vest.
"I'm waiting for your answer my child. Fight with me, fight for the darkness."
"Don't do it Jehu." Jehu looked over at Zane as he stepped up to the plate. "I know about your faithful nature to the king, but remember your mission, you're brother is still missing. You don't want to die in the war without your brother knowing, do you?"
Jehu didn't know what to do. He made a good point, but, this was the king of the dark realm. He was ruthless. He was known for his impatient attitude and deadly aura. He was doomed.
"Bakura, I will not let you drag a young man into this war. There has been enough bloodshed as it is. Do not make me have to use force to have you leave my palace." Ryou shouted.
"Stay out of this Ryou. He is my child. He can do whatever it is he wants to do." Bakura replied.
"You lie. The last time you stepped foot in this palace with the same request, you killed them where they stood for refusing to help you because they had a child."
"That was a minor technicality. If he wasn't going to help me, he was useless."
Ryou stepped forward but Yugi held him back. He grabbed his lover's arm and looked him in the eyes. Ryou stared into Yugi's eyes. He could feel the anger washing away. His chocolate eyes softened.
Ryou took a deep breath. "Leave this place at once. I will have no choice but to call in my top guards to dispose of you if you don't."
Bakura grinned. "You're guards can't lay a hand on me. They will all fall before me if they even tried."
Ryou placed a hand out in front of you, the palm of his hand started to shine. "If that isn't enough, then I will fight you."
"You don't have the guts to face me. You still fear me even after all of these years."
"I may but I will stand up to you, for my children, right here and now. Stand down Bakura. Do not think I will hesitate."
"You can't hurt me. I have hurt you and your children plenty of times in the past. I am not afraid of violence."
"You used to be such a good person Bakura." Ryou's power charged up. His glare tightened. "But since that day, I know that side of you will never return. That's why I have no choice but to defeat you."
"You know me too well," Bakura grinned and raised his own hand, his shadow magic charging and surging at a fast pace. "Little brother!"
Bakura released his ball of shadow magic; it was aimed right for the King of the Light realm. His eyes were wide as he saw it coming towards him. He quickly released his own magic. He didn't know what to do.
He panicked.
Their magic collided. Sparks flew. Everyone took cover. But two made their way over to their kings.
"I will protect you, my king."
The same thought ran through both of their minds at the exact same time. Both loyal to their kings!
The light was too blinding. Everyone covered their eyes. It was happening again. A foolish mistake of magic fusion!
Who was to fall victim of this chaos? Would it be the kings themselves? Or an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place, at the wrong time?
OMFR WASN'T THAT EXCITING. WE FINALLY MET THE KING OF THE DARK REALM. *dies of awesomeness* Did anyone see that coming? *everyone raises their hand* Well damn. I mean, yeah it may have been obvious but it was still a hell of a plot twist. Anyways, like I said, i'll try and get the next chapter out soon. Forgive me and review. They mean a lot.
