AN: Hello everyone! Happy New Years! I wanted to make a mass reply in something that someone said in their review. It was about the endcards. Am I still doing them? Well, that's a maybe. I absolutely suck at graphical art, and it took me a huge amount of time (a really huge amount) to make them. And that's just on MS Paint. So I'll probably do it once in a while but it won't be a regular thing like I planned since it takes up too much time. If someone wants to do them instead, by all means.
I remember someone asking for a list of dead people? That would be Hideki who died first, Yayoi who was the murdered, and then Micky who was the next victim, and finally Rhyssa who killed him. Meaning that the names not listed are well and alive.
Also, I wanted to address my hiatus. Well, what's the deal, Pancakes? You said February. January is hardly even over. Well throughout the month I was actually writing tiny bits and pieces of the chapter, and taking a midterm break today, I managed to finish it. So here it is.
I won't reply to reviews today since it's been a while and I don't exactly remember what the reviews were, so if you have any questions you'd like me to ask, just ask them again in the next review or feel free to PM me.
There probably won't be another chapter for a while, but I am technically out of my hiatus right now, so that's good. Anyways, enjoy the chapter.

The day before...
That awful place, in that awful dorm...
It was somewhere I never wanted to return to.
*Ding, dong! Ding, dong!*
"Attention you bastards! It is now 7:00 AM! Rise and shiiine! Let's make today the best day it can be!"
God...God damn it!
How could it be possible for Monokuma to take us by surprise like that? I never expected anything good, but a room filled with rabid animals...and to top it off, we didn't know Mirai's condition. I guess we were lucky. It was only a rabies bite... If you get the shots early enough, it should be treatable. But even so...it definitely was a shocking situation. I looked up at the ceiling as I lay in bed. The day before was entirely miserable.
It was 7:00, huh? It's time then...it's time to go to the cafeteria. I got up from my bed, and I was sure that Mirai wouldn't be by my bedside to greet me. It was both comforting, and a little sad.I couldn't explain this feeling. Pushing the thought out of my head, I got dressed, and headed out to the cafeteria.
Location: Cafeteria | Time: 7:12 AM | Chapter Three | 28 DAYS LEFT
Soundtrack: Re Beautiful Morning
The cafeteria was silent as I sat down. I was the last one there, but no one was talking. It was an awkward environment, filled with isolation. The day before was a little too shocking. I'd have to break the silence eventually though. Someone had to. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to do anything.
"Uh, Kirei, did you manage to connect the wires to the computer?" I asked her.
Kirei nodded. "Y-yes...the computers run fine, but I wasn't able to find a way to connect to the internet...so it's basically useless."
"Huh? You couldn't find out anything?" Takayashi sighed. "Oh well...fine."
"Cool it chick," Furo said in dismayal. "Anyways, if we can't connect to the internet, I doubt we'll be able to find anything useful."
"What about that textbook?" Shougo asked.
"Oh right...that textbook with the juicy dirt on all of us here!" Rhyssa exclaimed. "The one that Rhyssa found."
"I'm more worried about Mirai," Yoshinori sighed. "I wonder where Monokuma is treating him?"
"I wonder if he's even okay at all," Unmei followed.
"I'm not sure he has much healing to do though," Noah said. "He just needed shots, right? Of course, I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't know...but he should be released today."
"Maybe he's in the infirmary?" I asked.
"That's a cliché place to put him," Unmei said.
"M-maybe we should go check?" Kirei asked. "I...I'm a bit worried about him too."
"We should check out the computers again though," Shougo said. "We might be able to find out something."
"Hopefully," Kirei said dejected. "I worked for a long time getting all the computers to work..."
"Why'd you get all computers to work though?" Kaito asked. "Isn't it easier just to fix one computer..?"
Kirei didn't respond, but her face did turn a bit darker. I could tell she was disappointed with herself, so I silently encouraged her while everyone finished their breakfast and prepared to leave to talk about the recent turn of events. The first item on our list was to find Mirai and make sure he was okay, so we all headed to the infimary with haste.

"M-Mirai..?"
"Hrnh...oh, master..."
"W-what the hell..?"
Soundtrack: Junk Food For a Dashing Youth
I looked over at the hospital bed where Mirai was lying in, and to my shock, there was a large and huge hole in Mirai's right eye. The tattoo of a feather on his face lay under a large hollow shell that used to be where Mirai's eye rested. But there was no eye to be seen. An empty hole.
"M-Mirai! Are you okay?!" I screamed. "What the hell..? Your eye..!"
"What the hell did that bastard Monokuma do to you?!" Ryoko screeched.
"K-K-Kyaaaa!" Kirei screamed. "Why..? Why this..?!"
As we stared in shock at Mirai's empty eye socket, he tilted his head in confusion.
"Hmm?" Mirai asked. "I don't know what you guys are talking about. I feel the same."
"Upupupu!" Monokuma laughed, popping in from thin air. "That's because I numbed you! You're just like a little baby, so I felt like it was necessary."
"But why the fuck did you take his eye out?!" Furo yelled. "Was that really necessary..?"
"Of course it was!" Monokuma protested. "If I didn't take his eye out, that dog's Level 500 rabies would have spread to his eyes, causing them to bleed severely! The blood that does not excrete will have rotted in the matter of seconds, causing poison to be spread throughout the body! But of course it'll reach the brain first, and then..."
"O-Okay, we get it!" Yoshinori interrupted. "It's some sort of strange Monokuma virus. We don't really need to know."
"It's a special recipe momma bear came up with," Monokuma swooned. "That rabies was a very special family secret...but it just had to infect one of you, huh? Anyways, I'm working on a glass eye in my spare time since I get bored as hell, so for now, Mirai can wear this eyepatch."
Monokuma shuffled through his skin and pulled out a black eyepatch, and threw it at Mirai. He failed to catch it and he stumbled as he struggled to place the eyepatch on his face.
Soundtrack: Re Beautiful Morning
"Is he not used to having that kind of vision?" Takayashi asked.
Pitying him, I ran over to assist him as he struggled to put the eyepatch on his face. Mirai thanked me as I placed the patch over his empty eye, and Mirai took a deep breath and lied back down onto the bed.
"This is crazy..." Furo sighed. "Just crazy."
"P-poor Mirai," Kirei said.
"I'm okay though," Mirai said. "Really. I like eyepatches."
"That's not a good enough reason to stay that optimistic though," Ryoko sighed.
"Are you really okay though?" Kaito asked.
Mirai nodded happily. "I mean...my eye might be gone, but it's not the end of the world...I think. And since you all came to see me, I do feel happy...maybe."
"If you say so," Kaito said afterwards. "If it really doesn't bother you..."
"We can't just brush it off like that..!" Unmei said.
"Well, what do you think we should do? Walk up to Monokuma and punch him or something? Not like we can do anything...If Mirai has no problem with it, we just have to accept it."
The reality of Kaito's words hurt. The fact that we couldn't do anything. It was enough to drive me insane. But he was right. The best thing to do is support Mirai.
"Anyways, I have to pick up the glass eye later," Mirai said. "Monokuma told me that he would get an eyepatch, and coincedentally, you walked in right after he disappeared."
"So...you can walk now?" I asked.
Mirai nodded, and skipped happily out of the infirmary. I was a little shocked on how well he coped with all of this, but his personality was what made Mirai himself, I guess.
"I can't believe he's okay with this," Unmei growled. "I'm furious at Monokuma for doing that to him..!"
"We all feel that way," Kaito said sadly. "But...there really isn't anything we can do, right?"
Everyone murmured in agreement, the anger clear in our tones.
"Anyways, we should wait for a while for Mirai to recover," Noah sighed. "I'd hate to make him to work right after he lost his eye."
"I-is that really okay though?" Kirei asked. "We only have four weeks left...I'm not sure we can make it in that amount of time..."
"Why not?" Takayashi asked.
"W-well...I think it's better explained as you see it right in front of you."
Right in front of you..?
"Nevertheless, it's a good idea to give Mirai some resting time," Noah said. "Are we all in agreement?"
We silently agreed, pursuing Noah out of the infirmary. I'd hate to make Mirai do that too...I can't imagine how he could be so resiliant on the matter.
There was some time for the left of the day, and I don't think anyone felt like doing anything else, so I decided to walk around the dome for a little bit. With Mirai acting reserved like that...I think the mood lightened up just a little bit.

AN: Mirai won by a lot, lol...
[I walked by the cafeteria again...Mirai seems to be there again. Is it okay for him to be walking like that?]
MIRAI: Master! How're you doing?
Should I hang out with Mirai?
YES
NO
MIRAI: Oh, okay. I was just seeing if my Super Highschool Level had anything to do with knives...I almost cut myself once doing an American phenomenon called the Knife Song.
[I reminded Mirai of our lessons in knife safety.]
I feel like we got closer!
Soundtrack: DR Desire for Execution
MIRAI: ...Master, I wanted to talk to you about something.
KEIKO: What is it?
MIRAI: Oh, it's nothing much.
MIRAI: But, I thought it would be a good time to thank you properly for being so nice to me.
MIRAI: ...Mm. That's it.
[He sounds a little depressed...just a little bit.]
KEIKO: Are you okay? You sound a little down.
KEIKO: Is it your eye?
MIRAI: ...No, it's not that.
MIRAI: I'm okay Master, really...
KEIKO: Are you sure you're okay then..?
MIRAI: Yeah...
MIRAI: Please stop it now, Master...
KEIKO: Huh..? Stop what?
MIRAI: …You know!
KEIKO: I don't know!
KEIKO: Are you sure you're okay..?
MIRAI: ...See? You did it again.
[What...what did I do exactly..?]
KEIKO: What am I doing..? I'm only trying to comfort you...
MIRAI: …
MIRAI: You know what's wrong...
KEIKO: Um, does it have something to do with your memories?
MIRAI: …
MIRAI: N-no. I'm a headstrong boy..! I don't need memories!
MIRAI: …
MIRAI: ...Okay... you're right.
KEIKO: So what am I doing..?
MIRAI: Well, what if I do get my memories back..? Then what happens to you?
KEIKO: What do you mean?
MIRAI: I mean...
MIRAI: You've been so nice to me...
MIRAI: If something's wrong with my memories, we might have to say goodbye.
KEIKO: …
KEIKO: That's a way to think about it, huh?
MIRAI: Master..?
KEIKO: Even if you get your memories back, you don't have to talk crazy about it.
KEIKO: We can still be friends, right?
MIRAI: ...Friends?
MIRAI: Huh...I think I forgot the concept of friends along with my memories.
KEIKO: What?
MIRAI: No...I said that wrong.
MIRAI: I mean, when I lost my memories, I really lost them.
MIRAI: I don't remember having friends, or going to parties, or being cared for by my parents.
MIRAI: And everyone already noticed I lost lots of my common sense too.
MIRAI: So it's sort of sad when you think about it.
MIRAI: It's sort of like...I'm a shell.
KEIKO: A shell..?
MIRAI: Am I just here to be here..?
MIRAI: Do I have a purpose?
MIRAI: I like to think about that sometimes...
KEIKO: M-Mirai..?
[Even when saying this...his personality stays in tact. He doesn't sound much different than when he's happy.]
KEIKO: Well...I think...
KEIKO: Of course you have some sort of purpose.
KEIKO: I think everyone has one.
MIRAI: ...Everyone has a purpose?
KEIKO: Mmm. Yeah.
KEIKO: I don't mean to sound snooty, but all of us here has a purpose at the very least.
KEIKO: We got accepted into this school because of our talents, right?
KEIKO: So that means you have to have one.
MIRAI: ...I...I have a talent, right?
MIRAI: I'm not sure what that talent is though. I thought maybe it would come to me naturally, but no matter what I do, I'm not really good at anything.
KEIKO: I'm sure we'll find it.
KEIKO: And about what you said about us not being friends anymore...
MIRAI: …
KEIKO: We'll always be friends as long as we continue to like each other as friends.
MIRAI: …
MIRAI: So...no matter what happens, we'll always be friends?
MIRAI: No matter why I'm here, we'll always be friends..?
KEIKO: Yup.
MIRAI: ...Even if my talent is killing mass amounts of horse?
KEIKO: E-er...yeah, I guess, though I'd prefer if you didn't do that.
MIRAI: …
MIRAI: O-okay..!
MIRAI: Now that I know that...
MIRAI: I'm going to work twice as hard to remember!
MIRAI: I'm definitely going to remember what I do!
MIRAI: Yeah! My talent is waiting just around the corner!
KEIKO: That's the spirit!
KEIKO: Good for you.
MIRAI: And you'll help me, right?
KEIKO: Huh? M-me..?
KEIKO: W-well, if you want, though maybe that can wait after we get out of here..?
MIRAI: No way, man! I need to know now, man!
MIRAI: Yo diggy doo da!
KEIKO: ...
MIRAI: ...Sorry. I was trying to talk street.
KEIKO: T-that's okay.
KEIKO: When you get your memories back, be sure to introduce me to your old friends too, okay!
MIRAI: ...My old friends...I must have other friends too, right?
KEIKO: Yeah, I'm sure of it.
MIRAI: Then of course I will!
MIRAI: I can't wait...until I can see them again.
MIRAI: Whoever they are...if they're like you, Master, I'm sure I'll like them a lot.
[Mirai is really more deep than he seems...yet his attitude to keep pushing forward is admirable. I guess I really should help him get his memories back, huh? Not because I feel entitled too, but because I want him to be happy. As a friend.]
Soundtrack: Beautiful Days [Piano Arrange]
MIRAI: Alright! Let's start right away! Throw a knife at me and I'll try and dodge!
[I politely denied his life threatening request and went back to my room.]
[There was still some time left, so I went up to the library to find a book. When I got there...]
KIREI: Must clean...must clean..! Must clean..!
[...Should I try and hang out with her?]
Should I hang out with Kirei?
YES
NO
KIREI: O-oh! Keiko!
KIREI: K-KYAAAAA!
KEIKO: W-what is it?!
KIREI: Your clothes are filthy! Take them off right now! Let me clean them..!
[Kirei and I went to the laundry room and cleaned.]
KIREI: Teehee! You're good at cleaning, Keiko..!
KEIKO: Thanks?
KIREI: No! I mean it! If you had a different talent, it would be like mine!
KIREI: B-but...I guess that's not possible, considering that there can't be two maids in the same grade...
KIREI: A-aha! I got it!
KEIKO: You got what..? I'm lost...
KIREI: You could be the Super Highschool Level Housewife!
KEIKO: …
KIREI: …
KIREI: I-I'm sorry..! Do you not like that title..?
KEIKO: Y-yeah, well, it does sound a bit off-putting.
KIREI: I-it does?
KIREI: But I think it sounds charming...a Super Highschool Level Housewife...
KEIKO: But for me to be a wife, I'd need a husband...
KIREI: Oh, but with looks like yours, you're bound to find a husband sooner or later!
KEIKO: You think so?
KIREI: Teehee! You'll have no problem at all, finding someone to hold you after you leave this school!
KEIKO: Well...I hope so.
KIREI: B-but me on the other hand...well, I'll probably be cleaning all the time...I doubt I'd have time to go out and find someone.
KEIKO: Maybe you can take a break once in a while?
KIREI: ...A...b..break? What's that..?
KEIKO: …
KIREI: O-oh, I was just kidding!
KIREI: I know what a break is, but...I can't take breaks.
KEIKO: Why not..?
KIREI: ...B-because...I made a promise with myself that I wouldn't...
KEIKO: There isn't a reason for that?
KIREI: ...N-no! Not at all!
KIREI: I'm just a neat freak, is all! So...
KEIKO: Alright...if you say so.
[Kirei seems to be hiding something...Hopefully it's nothing too bad.]

"Nngh...what the hell?"
I woke up in my bed covered in sweat. My whole body felt like it was soaked. It felt disturbingly gross. I rolled off my bed, still groggy, and I changed into my regular clothes. At the time I think my shoes were squishing a bit. Sigh...
I left the room, not expecting much, and headed to the cafeteria. Hopefully Mirai had gotten better so we can explore the computer that Kirei fixed. We'd need clues if we ever wanted to get out of this place. Walking down the glass dome, I still never got tired of the sights. Yet even with all that...I felt depressed in this place. I don't know how much I had to repeat myself that being able to walk between the water was a bad thing.
Eventually, I got to the cafeteria. It was a bit ominous on the outside. I guess I was late again. Did everyone wake up earlier than the Monokuma announcement told them too? I suppose so, since when I walked in, everyone was already seated, eating their breakfast.
"Good morning," Mirai mumbled, mouth filled with food.
"Yeah, what he said!" Takayashi said, pumped with energy. "Must eat! One two! Must eat! Three five!"
"It's three, four," Unmei sighed.
"Well, whatever!" Takayashi yelled. "I'm ready for some soccer! Someone kick me! I mean someone kick a ball at me! Kick ass!"
"Will you pipe down?" Kaito grumbled.
"B-but I think it's good that she has al that energy..." Kirei said smiling.
It seems everyone had a bit of extra vigar today...
"Uh, hi guys," I said. "Everyone's so hyper today for some reason..."
"Well, we're finally going evidence hunting!" Unmei said excited.
"We've been waiting too long," Noah admitted. "It's time we discover clues. We need to get out of here before Monokuma manages to tempt us in committing another murder, yeah?"
I nodded, and Noah smiled in return. "Eat your breakfast, and quickly. If we leave before you finish, meet us at the computer room. We're going to find something this time. I know it."
Noah wiped his mouth with a napkin, and headed out the cafeteria doors.
As I got my breakfast, the others followed in pursuit. I smiled at this. It was exciting – with the fixed computer, perhaps we'll actually find something.
I ate alone, but I was happy.
I was...always happy...
Al...ways...
…
"What the hell was that..?" I mumbled to myself.
