AN: Upupupu! The long awaited Class Trial! Who's the killer? Well we're about to find out! ...after a series of many cliffhangers and debate between our characters.
Also, there was a typo in the last investigation where the evidence "Name List" and "Monokuma's Testimony" was labeled as the 15th and 16th pieces of evidence respectively. That's not the case, they are the 17th and 18th. Not really important but it would have bothered me if I didn't tell you guys.
Like last time, for using the soundtracks, to save time it's best to make multiple tabs pre-loaded with the music. A list of soundtracks below that are used for this chapter:
1 – Re Trial Underground
2 – Class Trial Dawn Edition Volume Two
3 – BREAK! 2nd Mix
4 – Class Trial ODD Edition
5 – Class Trial SOLAR Edition Volume Two
Reven228 - Yup! You got the reference :3 Thanks for the review!
Shadowplayer360 - Ikr? Hopefully Sushii-Sushii makes more, though she doesn't have too. *puppy pleading eyes.* Anyways thanks for the review!
TheRoseShadow21 - Thanks for the review!
Guest/King Okami - I'm assuming you two are the same person since your reviews were similar? Anyways thanks for the review!
MizunashiFuyuko - Thanks for the review! Yup! More and more cliffhangers :D And the Titty Typhoon location..? I'll remind everyone that each "courtroom" took place at a previous SDR2 location. The beach from the first island and the diner from the second. I'm not sure if people got that so I'll post it here. But if they did, oh well :3
Sushii-Sushii - Nah, I don't like the picture. I love the picture :P Thanks for the review!
Ode30 - :( I know...thanks for the review though
Unify - Oh I love speculation, lol. Your speculation is...pretty good again. Idk if all your question will be answered in this chapter but they will eventually.

COURT IS NOW IN SESSION!
…
Soundtrack: Class Trial Dawn Edition Volume Two
MONOKUMA: Alrighty! Welcome to the third class trial! You all remember the rules, don'tcha?
YOSHINORI: Are we...somewhere different again?
[I looked around. We were in a nightclub called the Titty Typhoon.]
YOSHINORI: Why do ya keep taking us to these different abandoned islands..?
MONOKUMA: Strange, isn't it? All these islands are empty and sad! Even the island where the Titty Typhoon lived at!
MONOKUMA: But that's not important right now, is it? No, no, this time we have to talk about what happened to Takayashi and Ryoko!
MONOKUMA: We can discuss our courtroom location later!
MIRAI: Hey, Monokuma, before we start the trial, can I ask a question?
MONOKUMA: No!
MIRAI: …
MONOKUMA: ...Oh, fine.
MIRAI: ...You said the reward for the gameshow would be the textbook and the password to that website we needed, right?
MONOKUMA: So you want to know whether or not you'll still get those?
KEIKO: I was wondering about that too...did we get the prize or not?
MONOKUMA: Well, answer that with your own brain, why don't you? Of course you don't!
NOAH: Why not..?
MONOKUMA: Well, none of you "won" the gameshow! You were supposed to put on a brave face for another day, yet you decided to murder again!
KIREI: P-please don't remind us of murder..! I don't want to think about it...
MONOKUMA: But this is the class trial, honey! Fact is, one of you killed off another one of your so called friends! Y'all have real bad friendships if you keep killing each other like this!
KEIKO: So then how are we supposed to escape the school?
MONOKUMA: Dunno. Find out a way yourself.
MONOKUMA: Unless you'd like to commit a murder, Keiko?
KEIKO: ...You aren't funny.
MONOKUMA: What, what?
MIRAI: One more thing...
MONOKUMA: What now..?
MIRAI: What are you going to do about Hikaru..?
MONOKUMA: Oh, him? I'm still working on it.
UNMEI: It..?
MONOKUMA: But don't worry! He's going to come back! Just not in time for the trial!
KEIKO: Well why not?
MONOKUMA: Well, whatever. Anyways, Kaito, I sort of half kept my promise. We're sort of in a strip club.
KAITO: No, this isn't a strip club. It's a nightclub. They're different.
UNMEI: ...And you know this how?
KAITO: …
KAITO: Let's find out who killed Takayashi and Ryoko everyone!
MONOKUMA: Well then, how about we review the rules one more time?
MONOKUMA: During this trial, you're all to figure out who killed Takayashi and Ryoko! Our two energetic ladies of the group!
MONOKUMA: Point your finger at the TRUE culprit, and he or she alone shall be PUNISHED!
MONOKUMA: But if you point your finger at the WRONG culprit...
MONOKUMA: Then the killer will be allowed to leave the school, free and clear!
MONOKUMA: Now then, I trust you've done this kind of thing more than enough! Get going! Start talking!
NOAH: There are plenty of places to start, though...
KEIKO: We don't know the purpose of the motive yet...and there are a bunch of other pieces of evidence that tie into other things.
SHOUGO: Think we should start with the motive then?
YOSHINORI: ...Naw, let's talk about something else first.
KEIKO: Yoshinori..?
KEIKO: Why..?
YOSHINORI: I mean...I don't think the motive is that important, ya know?
KEIKO: What do you mean..? Of course it's important..?
YOSHINORI: The motive might be like...sorta important? But um...I still don't get how Takayashi was killed, you know?
NOAH: Of course if you haven't run off or anything, there wouldn't have been an issue with that. You could have explored the body yourself.
YOSHINORI: Yeah well, I didn't, okay? So stuff it. Point is, I need to know how Takayashi died first!
KEIKO: ...You're acting...kinda strange.
YOSHINORI: Woah, woah, woah! I know where this is goin! Whenever someone says that, it's like I'm being accused as the killer!
YOSHINORI: Lemme tell you this, I had nothing to do with this crime, got it?
KEIKO: …Yoshinori..? Is there some reason you want to avoid the motive..?
KEIKO: ...Whatever the reason, we'll find out eventually.
MIRAI: Alright then, we can start with the method to murder first. Though, if you saw the crime, it's obvious, isn't it?
SHOUGO: Yeah, pretty much so. There's not much else to go on about that.
YOSHINORI: What exactly was it like..?
SHOUGO: Well, take note that Takayashi's body was under a trap, and her body was basically all mangled up.
KEIKO: It's sort of like she was...
ANSWER THE QUESTION!: What happened to Takayashi?
She crawled into one of the animal cages on her own ambition.
She was ready to get down and funky.
She was eaten alive.
She slipped and fell on the RC car.
She killed herself with the string.
KEIKO: This is it!
KEIKO: She must have been...eaten alive.
YOSHINORI: E-eaten..? You serious..?
FURO: I saw her body at the last minute too...but it's true.
KIREI: T-the killer must have let the animals loose somehow..!
UNMEI: Huh? How would they do that..?
KIREI: W-what do you mean..?
UNMEI: Wouldn't the cages be locked or something? How would it be possible for the killer to have opened the cages?
KEIKO: …
KEIKO: ...There's a way. A very clear way. And I know it..!
MONOKUMA: Upupupu! This is getting exciting!
MONOKUMA: Well then, answer me this, you bastards! How did the killer open the cages?
MONOKUMA: Go on! Get cracking!
Soundtrack: BREAK! 2nd Mix
==PHASE ONE==
Nonstop Debate!
Usual Ammunition:
::1| Lock System
::2| Really Long String
::3| RC Car
::4| Missing Animals
::5| Animals as Weapons
UNMEI: If the cages were locked...
UNMEI: ==Then the killer couldn't have opened the cages.==
YOSHINORI: ...Maybe there was a way to open it from the outside?
UNMEI: Would that be possible though?
MIRAI: Mm. There was definitely a possible way for the killer to have opened the cages.
UNMEI: Well then...tell me already!
KEIKO: You've got that wrong!
Ammunition Used: [Lock System]
Soundtrack: Class Trial FUTURE Part
KEIKO: It was obvious. The locks were found on the outside of the cages.
YOSHINORI: The outside of the cages..?
UNMEI: Oh, yeah..! It was like a bathroom slide lock, except it was openable from the outside.
KAITO: Just push open the slide and the animal would be set loose. That's what you think happened..?
NOAH: But there would be numerous problems with that theory...
FURO: Huh..? Like what..?
KIREI: I-if the killer opened the cages, then the animal inside could have eaten Takayashi..!
NOAH: No. That is clearly impossible.
YOSHINORI: Why's that?
NOAH: If you consider a few pieces of evidence, you'll notice that...well, it really is imposisble.
MIRAI: ...Oh, you must be talking about the tarp.
Flashback!
UNMEI: There's a tarp placed on Takayashi's body, but I wonder why?
KEIKO: ...There's a Monokuma symbol on it.
NOAH: If the animals were released, how would the killer have enough time to watch as Takayashi gets eaten, and then place the tarp over her body?
UNMEI: Y-you're right! That is impossible!
KIREI: But then, are the animals not the murder weapon..?
NOAH: It...doesn't seem like it. In fact, there's no way they can be.
SHOUGO: ...I guess not. Moreover, I don't know why Takayashi wouldn't have ran away by then.
NOAH: So...it looks like we're on the wrong path here.
KEIKO: ...But...I'm sure that she was killed by the animals.
NOAH: Keiko..?
KEIKO: I mean...it's the only way.
SHOUGO: But...it doesn't look like it's possible.
FURO: The killer had to have opened the cage, somehow restrained Takayashi, avoid getting eaten by said animal, and then get rid of that animal.
NOAH: And after that, place a tarp, which I doubt was even in the room at the time, over Takayashi's body.
UNMEI: Doesn't sound possible to me.
KEIKO: ...There's...really something that proves I'm right though. I'm sure of it!
KEIKO: H-hold on...let's talk about this more.
YOSHINORI: You think you can really find out how Takayashi was murdered?
KEIKO: It had to have been by the animals! I'm sure of it!
SHOUGO: And we're sure it's impossible.
KEIKO: Sure...fine...it may be impossible...but there's only one way that Takayashi could have been killed.
Soundtrack: BREAK! 2nd Mix
==PHASE TWO==
Nonstop Debate!
Usable Ammunition:
::1| Animals as Weapons
::2| Blood in Alligator's Cage
::3| Bloody Needle
::4| Monokuma File No. 3
::5| Monokuma File No. 4
NOAH: There's no way for the cause of death for Takayashi...
NOAH: ...to have been eaten alive by the animals.
YOSHINORI: And the reason for that is...the situation was just too unlikely.
MIRAI: But I agree with Keiko...there's only one way for Takayashi to have died.
SHOUGO: The killer would have had to have gone through all that work.
KAITO: Not to mention an incredible amount of luck.
KIREI: B-basically...
KIREI: ==There's not even a reason for Takayashi to have been eaten alive...==
KEIKO: You've got that wrong!
Ammunition Used: [Monokuma File No. 3]
Soundtrack: Class Trial FUTURE PART
KEIKO: No. Takayashi was definitely...eaten alive.
NOAH: What makes you say that?
KEIKO: Think back, Noah. Did you see any thing else that could have been used as a murder weapon?
NOAH: Well...no. There are plenty of explanations for that.
KEIKO: Not when you consider the Monokuma File for Takayashi.
FURO: The Monokuma File..?
MIRAI: Read what it lists for Takayashi's cause of death...
NOAH: It's...evisceration.
KEIKO: You do know what that is, don't you?
NOAH: ...It's the loss of vital organs, correct?
SHOUGO: I'm pretty sure that's close enough...
SHOUGO: ...Oh! I get it..!
KEIKO: There's only one way for Takayashi to have lost her vital organs. The animals would have...had to eat it out of her.
NOAH: ...Perhaps the traps for the gameshow were used?
MIRAI: But they were on the other dome. Takayashi died on the second dome, didn't she?
YOSHINORI: Well, it ain't like Monokuma revealed that or anything...
MONOKUMA: Upupupu, you want some clarification, don't you?
MONOKUMA: Well then...Takayashi was indeed murdered while she was at the second dome! Indefinitely!
KEIKO: Exactly. So it couldn't have been the traps either. Those were in the gymnasium at the time.
MONOKUMA: The traps were moved to the gymnasium as storage, after all!
NOAH: ...Then...how could it have been possible for Takayashi to have been killed..?
MIRAI: Um, before we go into that, can we move on to a different subject?
YOSHINORI: H-huh..? What's more important than how Takayashi was killed, eh?
NOAH: I for one would like to continue discussing Takayashi's death.
MIRAI: Yoshinori, I think you were acting a little strange.
YOSHINORI: Me..? Never. I'm normal.
NOAH: Are you even listening to me..?
MIRAI: But...when we were talking about the motive...
MIRAI: You were clearly nervous.
YOSHINORI: ...N-no! That's not true at all!
NOAH: Mirai..? Where are you going with this?
UNMEI: Um, I noticed it as well.
MIRAI: And not only now, but you were acting a little strange before the trial started.
NOAH: Was that...because of the motive..?
YOSHINORI: …W-well..!
MIRAI: I mean...maybe the motive has to do with something, right?
YOSHINORI: ..!
YOSHINORI: No! I told you it doesn't! Lay off!
KEIKO: ...Yoshinori..?
YOSHINORI: N...nngh!
YOSHINORI: I'm asking you guys..! Don't talk about the motive anymore!
YOSHINORI: A-anyways, don't you find something else strange?
SHOUGO: Why are you changing the subject again..?
YOSHINORI: I ain't changing the subject! You're changing the subject!
NOAH: It seems we can't progress until we get information out of Yoshinori, then?
FURO: Maybe if we get the information out of her...we can end this trial early.
YOSHINORI: What?!
MIRAI: Yoshinori...why are you acting so strange?
YOSHINORI: What..?! Don't go accusing me of...
NOAH: Yoshinori! Don't stall! What does the motive have to do with this?!
MIRAI: Even if you don't know...well, I'm sure you can come up with something.
KEIKO: Yoshinori...what's wrong with you?
Music Halts
YOSHINORI: ...I told you...to come back to that...
Soundtrack: Class Trial ODD EDITION
YOSHINORI: I told you, didn't I?! I said I didn't wanna talk about it!
KEIKO: Y-Yoshinori..!
YOSHINORI: Look here! Tell me why anyone would've wanted to murder over that stupid as shit motive!
NOAH: The motive has been called stupid before in the last trial, yet it seems like it was rather important last time. I'm sure it's just as important here.
YOSHINORI: You all don't know squat! It's not important at all, okay?! Lay off! Did you forget that I participated in the goddamn gameshow?!
KEIKO: ...What?
YOSHINORI: Yeah! Yeah!
YOSHINORI: The motive has nothing to do with this people! It's true!
Soundtrack: HEAT UP! 2nd Mix
==PHASE THREE==
Nonstop Debate!
Usable Ammunition:
::1| Monokuma File No. 3
::2| Monokuma File No. 4
::3| Really Long String
::4| Monokuma's Testimony
::5| Name List
YOSHINORI: There's no reason why the motive is involved with this at all! ==I participated in this! I should know!==
KEIKO: You...[participated in it?]
YOSHINORI: That heavy metal wasn't any good at all!
FURO: Well if the motive doesn't have to do with anything, why are you avoiding the subject?
KIREI: D-did you...kill the others, Yoshinori..?
YOSHINORI: O-of course I didn't! How could you accuse me of that?
YOSHINORI: J-just drop the subject! I don't know anything!
KEIKO: You've got that wrong!
Ammunition Used: The phrase: "Participated In It."
Soundtrack: Class Trial FUTURE PART
KEIKO: No...no you didn't. You didn't participate in that gameshow. Or, more accurately...
KEIKO: You shouldn't have participated in that gameshow.
YOSHINORI: ...Huh?!
FURO: I saved you from your torture...
FURO: But you were on stage at that other gameshow, weren't you?
MONOKUMA: Oh? Was my security a little too thin? Good thing I got rid of Meowykins.
KEIKO: When I counted six people participating in the gameshow...there was six. Which wasn't right.
YOSHINORI: S-so? I didn't do anything about it!
KEIKO: But, then Yoshinori, why would you say anything about participating in the third gameshow?
YOSHINORI: ..?!
MONOKUMA: Keiko? Is your memory a bit fuzzy? Like my fur?
KEIKO: No! The people participating was Kirei, Unmei, Furo, Ryoko, Mirai, and Yoshinori!
YOSHINORI: W-what are you even saying?
MONOKUMA: Oh, the cat's out of the bag then. Indeed, indeed! In fact, Yoshinori listened to the heavy metal just like all of you!
YOSHINORI: A-are you kidding..?
YOSHINORI: What the hell?!
MIRAI: ...Yoshinori, what did that music do to some of us..?
KAITO: I wasn't effected by it, but neither was Unmei. And I don't think Furo was either.
FURO: Nope...I didn't feel any different after the gameshow happened.
KIREI: ...I...I wasn't either..?
YOSHINORI: Um..!
KEIKO: Yoshinori..! Tell us what the motive did to you!
YOSHINORI: N-no!
YOSHINORI: You guys...I don't want to tell you guys!
NOAH: Why not..?
YOSHINORI: It's personal! It's really deep and personal shit, okay?!
NOAH: ...You can tell us, as long as it's not a murder confession.
MIRAI: We're...your friends. I think. So, you can trust us.
YOSHINORI: …
Music Halts
YOSHINORI: But...I don't want to say it.
KEIKO: Why not..? What was the motive even doing..?
KAITO: We're talking about that third day, right? With the headphones? What did it do to us?
YOSHINORI: ...It didn't do anything to you, or Unmei, or Furo. Not even Mirai. And I don't know why.
KIREI: I-it didn't affect me either!
KEIKO: What were you even doing at the motive..?
YOSHINORI: …
YOSHINORI: Lemme tell you this first. I participated in the gameshow because I had to.
NOAH: What do you mean..?
YOSHINORI: Noah...you were searching for me at the second dome, right?
NOAH: ...Yes. How did you know?
YOSHINORI: Well, let me tell you.
Soundtrack: Class Trial SOLAR EDITION Volume Two
[In front of my eyes, Yoshinori got out of her courtroom seat, and headed to the middle of the circle. With that, she soon jumped into the air, spinning in circles, and fire shot out of her feet. Literal fire opened up from her feet, and her eyes began to turn into a metallic yellow. I couldn't believe...what was happening in front of me.]
KEIKO: Y-Yoshinori?!
NOAH: Y-you're feet! They're flying in the air?!
YOSHINORI: My name...well, I guess it's technically Yoshinori. And that's how I avoided, you Noah. Since...
MIRAI: W...what are you saying..? Yoshinori..!
YOSHINORI: No. My name? It's...it's Android No.301. Codename is Nori351. A fifth prototype model...of the Humdroid series!
UNMEI: H-Humdroid?!
YOSHINORI: A mashup of two words: Human, and android!
YOSHINORI: Pleased to meet your aquantice, everyone! My name is Fifth Prototype Model Android NO301 Nori 351! The heavy metal music at the gameshow helped me remember a lost fragment of my past memory, and that indeed is the fact that I am a robot! That is how I was avoiding Noah! I was clinging onto walls, hiding on ceilings, away from Noah's sight!
YOSHINORI: You see, I was a robot created for a project to moderate and spy on the students of Hope's Peak Academy! That is you students right now! Right now all your personal information is being sent to people everywhere! Evil people, may I add! So that's that!
…
YOSHINORI: And um...yeah. Well, that's the real me, I guess...
KEIKO: A...are you...
KEIKO: ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?!
MIRAI: Y-Yoshinori..? You're a robot..?
YOSHINORI: Yeah...the heavy metal music? It helped me remember that about myself. And I'm sure Ryoko was remembering something about herself.
FURO: Was that why she was actin' like such an asshole?!
YOSHINORI: It might've been too much of a metamorphasis for her. In any case, I am not really your ally. I mean, I was made to moderate you.
YOSHINORI: That's the reason I secretly participated in the gameshow. You see, I am a robot created for this scenario underwater, and I was attracted to the gameshow, knowing exactly what it was.
YOSHINORI: So...there you have it. Ryoko...well, she could have gone crazy because the motive made her remember something about her past self...and she didn't want to accept that.
KEIKO: N...no way...
YOSHINORI: It's not like I want it this way! I'd...I'd rather not have found out! But I was programmed this way! I was programmed to be attracted to whatever Monokuma does!
YOSHINORI: But you guys are my friends...but can I be friends with you guys..? That's what I've been wondering since I remembered.
KEIKO: ..!
YOSHINORI: I hate it this way, okay? But that's that. I was a robot made to spy on y'all, made to represent human feelings and thoughts.
YOSHINORI: So...there! That's why I was acting strange!
AN: :O Plot device! Yoshinori is a robot?! How does this fit in with the trial?! What does this mean for the motive?! Why haven't I barely written anything about the murder itself?! Find out on the next chapter!
Yoshinori was definitely important to the motive though. It's obvious with the revelation...that she is a ROBOTO! The motive was purposely left vague in this chapter, so it can be revealed in the next, since it's actually basically obvious what the motive actually is.
On a final note, I'm surprised that not many people caught on to Yoshinori participating in the gameshow. I guess I made it too vague? :3
In summary, two things were revealed in this chapter.
1 – The Motive
2 – Part of how Takayashi was killed.
I'm definitely going to spend more time next chapter about the murders themselves, though I still need to tie up some loose ends about the motive itself.
Upupupu! This is going to be fun!
ONE LAST NOTE! The trial I'm PREDICTING will be from THREE to FIVE parts. Most likely Five, but it may be shorter than that! So yup.
