AN: I would like to preface this review with the recent comments of Keiko being a Mary-Sue. This is no one's fault except for mine. Because of reasons inferred below, I will mask the name of Keiko's creator, but it is not your fault. It is mine. So yeah. Please do not beat yourself up over it, okay? It wasn't even intended at all. ...Yeah. Haha. Heh. Not intended. And that brings me to my next few points.

I wanted to make a little announcement. Recently I got a review that, well, there was nothing really terrible about the review, but it did contain some words that could have offended someone else. Luckily it was a guest so I was able to deny it, but just a heads up that you should think about what you say before actually saying it. I don't want anyone's feelings getting hurt over a story.

To that reviewer, I would like to mention that it is the fault of no one except myself that that turned out the way it was. I am the writer who is making everything happen, and it may be intentional, or it may be because I screwed up. So just keep that in mind.

Sorry to begin a little moot. But prepare for more despair, as this is the execution chapter! :O

And to lighten the mood a little bit, we got a new picture from Sushii-Sushii :3 She created a cover picture for the story (which is now the cover, thanks for giving me the permission to use it!)

The full image. The website is Deviantart.

And on a final note, I wonder why I did all the parenthesis' and stuff. I sure am weird.

Reven228: Aw, damn. I can't believe I overlooked that (about the bleach.) Thanks for the review, sorry about that. Hopefully it can be overlooked though, lol.

MizunashiFuyuko: Yay, executions! And yes, the mystery item for Mirai + Kaito hasn't been looked at yet, was it? Spoiler alert though that we probably won't find out Kaito's since I wrote this a while back and didn't put it in. But I'll incorporate it somehow, so don't worry. Thanks for the review!

Unify: Yeah, sorry about that. Sort if disappointed myself in that I looked over that aspect of bleach. But then again Celes was able to scream down two floors and have Hifumi hear her so it's not the most unrealistic exposition ever x3. And sure, I wouldn't mind an alternate scenario. PM away, :3 Thanks for the review!

Kizi1999: Thanks for the review! Execution chapter, so, yup.

TheRoseShadow21: Thanks for the review! Glad you believe me, lol.

Ode 30: Chapter 3 really was the worst out of any Danganronpa game, right? :( The trial for Chapter 3 in DR1 was so disappointing it made my heart break (and we said goodbye to Ishimaru and Celes D:) and the trial for Chapter 3 just had three good characters knocked right out. (I am the 5% who actually liked Saionji, lol.) Thanks for the review!

Le-awesome-me: Thanks for the review! Don't worry about being unable to review, it's fine.

Shadowplayer360: Mwahahaha! Thanks for the review! And yeah, the SHSL switch was the most annoying thing to me as I felt it was an important essence to the series. I'm sure NISA changed it to make it more appealing to the US audience but most people with a VITA are interested in the Japanese version anyways, xD. Or I don't know that, that's just me making an assumption, lol.

Celes Ludenberg: Well I hope you read the author's note since it is certainly not your fault. Hope I haven't disappointed you. Thanks for the review!

FateOblivion: Spelling mistakes? o-o They were probably intentional or missed because of my narrow brain, lol. Thanks for the review!

King Okami: Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed it!

MiserableFairy13: Nyahaha. The textbook. Thanks for the review! It was pure coincidence that all the killers were girls TBH, lol. So wow! A boy killer! Finally :O

Enjoy the chapter, everyone!

Soundtrack: Re Despair Syndrome

"Upupupu! Nice! You pinned the tail on two monkeys this time!" Monokuma announced. "Oh, wait. I wasn't supposed to announce if you were right yet! My bad! I'm spoiling a lot this time, aren't I?"

Furo and Kirei were acting completely different. Kirei was freaking out silently to herself. I could see her shake and writhe in fear at what was upcoming. But Furo on the other hand seemed to be perfectly calm. In fact, I could see in his face that he felt like he was a little relieved.

"Hey!" Unmei demanded, as if reading my thoughts. "Furo! How can you be so...quiet at a time like this?"

"Quiet?" Furo asked, sighing. "Maybe it's because I'm a quiet person. Bite me."

Unmei just huffed in reply, and turned away.

"Besides. It's not like I don't feel like shit," Furo said. "In a way though, I'm sort of relieved that I've been caught."

"Relieved?" Noah asked. "I would assume you were afriad about your pending death."

"Well...no shit, I'm scared about that too," Furo sighed. "But I guess you could say I deserve it? They're more so punishments than executions. That's how I always saw it."

"Upupu, you know where it's at!" Monokuma laughed. "I mean, bad kids have to be put down, right?"

"B-but...it's not..." Kirei murmured.

"It's not right to what?" Monokuma asked. "To take advantage of your lives? I've heard that cliché crap plenty of times before. And let me tell you, you can't really say that when you killed someone yourself, isn't that true?"

Kirei just let out more tears as a response. She was in no condition to be talking at all.

"I could understand Kirei's murder," Yoshinori started. "Well, that's not the right way to put it. I don't think death is that great at all."

"Then what are you trying to say?" Furo asked. "C'mon. Out with it. This is the time for last words."

"I'm saying that she was manipulated," Yoshinori said. "But you killed someone because of some work you did. Is that really fair?"

"Ha. You think you can judge me on that?" Furo growled. "Don't make me laugh. I've worked my ass off to get where I am today. An artist, more or less. That was my entire life's pride. I thought, if Ryoko destroyed my work twice, she deserved to die."

His words shocked me as much as the actual murder. Was Furo...always this dark?

"...But do you believe that now?" Mirai asked. "Was it worth it..?"

"What do you expect me to say?" Furo asked. "That it was? Well the answer to that is hell no. That's the response that anyone who took a life would give you."

"Well, I wouldn't know what it's like to have life work," Yoshinori sighed, in a tone that was both irritated, yet empathetic. "I was built in a factory, basically. You all know what I am now."

"Whatever," Furo muttered. "It's fine. I don't really care either way."

"If I may interrupt," Noah said. "There is still something I'd like to wrap up about this case."

"Huh? What's that?" Furo asked.

"I would like to know your basis in believing that Ryoko was the one who destroyed your artbook," Noah replied.

"My basis..?"

"Yes. What made you believe she was the one who did it? I hope it was before you witnessed Takayashi's murder, as at that point, Ryoko's murder was premeditated by you."

"...Well, there's something you all don't know," Furo sighed. "But I don't really feel like explaining it now."

"Huh?" Monokuma whined, tilting his head. "But this is the part of the story where we get to hear everyone's tragic stories, and then find out it means nothing because they're just going to die anyways!"

"I don't feel like explaining it as all..." Furo said, brash and harsh.

"Upupu, well then, allow me!" Monokuma announced.

Flashback!

Soundtrack: All All Apologies

"Hey, Furo..."

"...What do you want?"

"I just...you know, I don't came over me. I don't know why I damaged your artbook, and, er, well I'm sorry.

"Whatever."

"...Are...are you okay?"

"...Guess so."

"You sure..?"

"Fuck off. I already said I'm fine."

"But -"

"Just shut up, already..! You destroyed my damn work, so... So..! Just go die!"

"How melodramatic," Monokuma sighed. "All it took was a little irritation to push you over the edge, huh?"

"I guess it was at that point I wanted to kill her," Furo sighed, ignoring Monokuma.. "But to be honest, I don't really know why I got so angry."

"Because your life work was destroyed?" Monokuma asked. "Oops! I mean, you already knew that, huh?"

"W-well...we all know the reason I committed murder," Kirei yelled.

"Is that supposed to be an excuse?" Furo asked, raising his voice. "Murder is murder either way. Manipulation or not, it's just a motive. He never forced you to do anything."

Furo's words were harsh, yet they had some truth in them. I didn't want to take part in a belief that the murder was solely the fault of the culprit. Mostly because I sort of convinced myself that Monokuma was the sole cause that made the killers do what they did.

Yayoi killed over the safety of her brother, and Rhyssa killed over the information in the textbook that was likely planted by Monokuma.

But even as Furo said this, I knew he was a murderer too, and I knew that he knew that he was equally responsible.

So...the question now is, where do we go from here?

"I murdered on my own terms," Furo said finally. "And I'm ready to face my punishment."

"Hmm..." Monokuma murmured, tilting his head. "But, if you wanted to live, would you take that opportunity?"

"W-what do you mean..?" Kirei asked. "Are you not going to execute us..?"

"Of course I am!" Monokuma snapped. "...Oh, but not us."

Music Halts

"...Huh?" Furo asked.

"What do you mean not us?" I asked. "Are you..."

"Well, if you'd be so kind, please let me explain," Monokuma said. "Explain the fact...that only one of you are getting executed!"

Soundtrack: Junk Food For A Dashing Youth

...What?

"O-one of us?!" Furo asked. "W-who is it?!"

"...B-but..!" Kirei stammered.

"Oh, that will be decided right now," Monokuma replied. "You see, I didn't exactly expect Furo to kill at the last second, yeah? So I only had time to prepare an execution suited to one person!"

"One person?" Unmei asked. "So...if Furo didn't kill..."

"Then Kirei would have inevitably been executed," Monokuma interrupted. "But now that Furo has taken a life, it totally ruined my flow, man!"

"Your flow..?" Kaito asked. "What do you mean by that..?"

"I meant he killed at a very unexpected time!" Monokuma growled. "I didn't have time at all to finish up a second execution for him!"

"B-but, couldn't you just put us both through the same execution..?" Kirei asked.

"K-Kirei!" Furo snapped.

"I-I want to atone for my sin!" Kirei snapped back. "I...I don't really...want to live."

"...Well, the problem is, if I combine your executions," Monokuma started, "is that...well, it won't nearly have enough spunk!"

Spunk..?

"Hey, Master, what's spunk?" Mirai asked.

"Later, Mirai," I sighed. "So...basically, you're saying...it wouldn't have, uh, looked as good?"

"Aw, you like my executions too, Keiko?" Monokuma asked. "That's so sweet..! I thought I was the only one who could appreciate my fine art amongst us!"

"It probably is only you...I never said -"

"Hey! No backsies!" Monokuma cried. "I want to savor this moment! Hearing one of my students say that they enjoy what I do is like a blessing to the teacher!"

"I thought you were our headmaster?" Mirai responded.

"Well, whatever I am, it's still nice, ain't it?" Monokuma asked.

"G-get to the point," Furo said impatiently. "W-who's...getting killed..?"

"Uh, well, let's see," Monokuma said. "...I could execute both of them if you all want..."

"What the..?" Furo asked. "B-both of us?!"

"I thought you did not care for death," Noah said. "Or, in your words, that you were ready to face your punishment."

"Well obviously if I had the chance to live, I would take it!" Furo yelled.

"...B-but, you and I killed someone..!" Kirei said, her voice frail and weary. "We took someone's life..! I want to...I want to..!"

"Someone who says they wanna die should just go do it," Monokuma said, cutting Kirei off. "It's the ultimate despair!"

"So...are you executing both of them..?" I asked nervously.

"Well, what do you want?" Monokuma asked.

"What do I want?! Well obviously, I want them to both live!"

"No, no! That's not an option!"

"Well you can't expect us to choose who to kill!"

He couldn't..!

"...Well, an interesting fact about that," Monokuma said. "Did any of you face any trouble while voting?"

"V-voting..?" asked Kirei.

"Yes, voting. I mean, at each trial, you can only vote for one person, right..?"

"But by choosing Kirei or Furo, aren't we just choosing for both of them?" Noah asked.

"It's not that simple," Monokuma replied. "You vote for one culprit only! One!"

"One..?!" Furo yelled. "So...who got the most votes..?"

"Well, I don't know that," Monokuma admitted. "To be honest, I could have used Meowykins if I wanted to fetch the results for me. But since I omitted him, there's no way to get the results except trying to figure them out myself! And I'm way to lazy for that, so yeah. I don't know."

"Well go check!"

"Don't be so pushy with me! You know what? I'll just have them vote again!"

What?! But I don't want to vote again..!

"But I'll change the rules a bit this time!" Monokuma continued. "If you'd like... you can choose to execute both of them!"

"Both?!" Unmei gasped. "Who the heck would do that..?!"

"I don't know. Some despair lover, I guess," Monokuma said. "Someone who gets turned on with blood as much as I do!"

But there's no one here like that. No one would choose to execute both of them.

I know for a fact. I...I wouldn't..!

Despair.

"Okay, so! Let's re-do the ballet time!" Monokuma announced.

"Wait a minute," Noah stopped. "I'm not voting again. I refuse to choose someone to die. That equates to killing them, essentially, which I am not up for."

"Well you have to follow the rules. Otherwise, you'll face punishment! Besides, you shouldn't have trouble killing someone. Right?"

"...What do you mean?" Noah asked, his voice unwavering.

"Oh, nothing. Just thought you might like it a little."

"But you know none of us are actually going to vote, right?" Yoshinori asked.

"Yeah!" Unmei said. "You can't execute all of us!"

"...What was that?" Monokuma husked. "Pray tell me why I shouldn't feel the need to rip off the flesh of your skins, should you choose to refuse my bidding? I feel like we're having a misunderstanding here! You break the rules and you hit the sack! That's that, got it?!"

"But then wouldn't that be an end to your game?" Mirai asked, in a playful tone. "Hmm...I think maybe, that if you killed us all..."

"If you killed us all, there would be no way to continue with your goals," Kaito finished. "That's what you were going to say, right Mirai? Which in that case, I will not vote either."

"...I-if it'll save us, I won't vote neither," Furo said.

Kirei didn't speak. She just looked at her feet nervously, her expression scared and guilt-ridden.

"Of course I won't vote," I sighed. "This is all pointless of you to even say, Monokuma."

"Hmph! We'll see about that!" Monokuma demanded. "I'm sure one of you will vote! It doesn't matter!"

As he said that, the voting panels at our seat opened up again. Basically, he was trying to get us to vote off a culprit. But why would anyone do that?

"There we go! Now choose a culprit!"

"No," Noah said. "I abstain."

"Bzzt! Wrong answer!"

Of course we wouldn't vote for a culprit.

"You can do Furo, Kirei, or both!" Monokuma yelled again needlessly. "C'mon! Hurry up! We ain't got all day!"

"A vote count of one..?!" Noah yelled. "T-then that means..!"

"Oh, look at that!" Monokuma said happily. "It looks like one of you bastards decided on voting after all! Oh who, oh who could that be..?"

"W-who..?" Mirai asked. "W-who voted..?!"

"W-wait, guys, then, do we have to vote..?" Unmei asked nervously.

There was panic ensuing between everyone.

Excellent...ha...

Haha...

Hahahaha!

"Oh, what fun, it is to ride, on an executing sleigh, hey!" Monokuma sung. "Upupupu! I was getting angry over nothing! Someone voted, and if you all don't vote within the next ten seconds, Furo and Kirei both are gonna have to kick the bucket!"

"...W-well then, quick..! We have to vote for someone..!" Noah commanded.

"But then we'll be killing someone in return!" Mirai protested. "I-I can't do that..!"

"But if we don't do something, they both will be executed!" Noah screamed. "Hurry up! Who are we voting off?!"

"You expect us to make a decision like that?!" Yoshinori panicked. "I may be a robot but I have enough emotion to know that I can't make a choice like that!"

"C-choose Kirei!" Furo pleaded. "Please..! Choose Kirei!"

"...F-Furo?" Kirei asked.

"Oh, really? Look at that." Monokuma laughed. "The brave boy who claimed to have been ready for a punishment? Now he's pleading for his life! Among his friends too! That's reeeeally sad!"

If no one votes...they both will be executed.

Heh. That's right.

"Oh, looks like time is up!" Monokuma asked. "Want to see how the vote changed?"

"But we didn't do anything..!" Noah protested. "Give us more time and-"

"Hush it, police boy!" Monokuma snapped. "You had your chance to vote, but you said no! Now I'm taking that chance away and you're begging me for it? Please! GTFO! STFU! JFC!"

Vote Count: 1

"T-the vote count is still at one?!" Furo yelled. "But I put in a vote for Kirei, man!"

"W-why would you do that?!" Kirei screamed.

"The killer can't vote!" Monokuma snapped. "A-duhhhhhhhh!"

"Then, they're both getting executed..?!" Unmei gasped. "No way..! Y-you said that you wouldn't though..!"

"I said I couldn't do two separate executions, you ninny!" Monokuma yelled. "Man, you're all misinterpreting everything I say today, aren't you?! Well, look here! I said that the execution wouldn't have looked as good! So I guess you're going to have to settle for a sub-par one today! So sorry!"

"B-but..!" Mirai cried. "W-why..? Who voted..?!"

"I-it must have been Kirei!" Shougo accused. "She wanted to die this whole time, right?!"

"W-wait a minute!" Kirei stammered. "I wouldn't have chosen -"

"But then she would have chosen to vote for herself only," I intervened. "Besides, Monokuma just said that the culprit's votes do not count."

"That's right!" Monokuma laughed giddily.

"K-Keiko..?!" Kirei asked, her voice slightly shocked.

Oh, I'm with you there, Monokuma.

What giddy.

Alright, you peasant. You can return to the way you came now..!

Huh..?

"W-wait a minute..!" Furo pleaded. "T-then just execute me! At least let Kirei live..!"

"No can do!" Monokuma snapped. "You read the terms of conditions, didn't you?! You are both getting executed whether you like it or not! So suck it up!"

"W-wait a minute..!" I screamed.

"W-who voted..?" Mirai asked weakly.

"Get ready!" Monokuma laughed. "For another heart pounding punishment!"

Oh God..! Was that me..?! What have I done..?!

Stop..! Stop!

"Nyahahahahahaha!"

GAME OVER!

Furo Shirohashi and Kirei Nagai has been pronounced guilty. Commencing execution...

Soundtrack Oshioki Feat. Rocket Panties

Furo and Kirei tied together, sat underneath a giant bucket in a large circular pool. Monokuma sat far away, putting on a pair of sunglasses and holding a button.

CLEAN UP WITH A MUDBATH

Sitting anxiously together, the bucket began to tip over, spilling a huge mass of paint and mud mixed together. As Furo and Kirei both struggled to stay afloat from all the defecation falling on top of them, the pool began to spin rapidly in a circle, mixing together the paint and mud. In fact, it began to spin so fast, that the rope snapped. Spinning and spinning, they began to literally come apart, their remaining limbs spelling the word: DIRTY.

Monokuma arrived at the scene with a feather duster fortunately, and he spent the next few minutes cleaning the mud off of the bodies!

Soundtrack: A Dead End to the Ocean's Aroma

"A...are they dead..?" Unmei whimpered.

"No, of course they aren't!" Monokuma exclaimed. "I mean, why would they die in an execution! Just kidding of course, they're dead."

"U-Uwaahhh!"

"I-I thought the execution was only for one person..!" Shougo said.

"Well, it was just a little less flashy than it could have been," Monokuma replied. "I guess I underestimated myself a little bit though. It wasn't that bad."

"...B-but, who voted..?" Mirai asked once again.

"Upupupu," Monokuma chuckled. "Do you expect for whoever voted to come out and say they voted? I don't think whoever did it had the guts! Though of course, I do know who did it..."

"W-who? Tell us!" Yoshinori pleaded.

"No can do! That would go against my protection privacy rules, and you know how I feel about rules!"

"S-so...that's done with then..." Noah said. "I can't...I can't believe that someone would -"

"I-it's obvious, isn't it?!" Yoshinori yelled. "You guys can't be trusted!"

"What the hell?!" Shougo snapped. "You're the one who was made to spy on us!"

"A-at least I admitted it... I never actually would have killed any of you!"

I...Wasn't it me who did it..? If it was...why..?!

"Upupupupu," Monokuma laughed. "Well then, I'll be on my way now -"

"W-wait a minute," said Mirai.

"Oho? What is it?" Monokuma asked. "I'd like to get some rest, you know? It's been a long few hours, and I need to prepare for the future."

"Well, you have the evidence, right..? I think. So, I mean...I need to ask a question before you leave!"

"And what might that be, oh stupid one?"

"Well, first, I...I never got to see my mystery items."

"O-oh," Unmei said. "K-Keiko..?"

Huh?

"Keiko, did you see Mirai's mystery items anywhere..?"

"N-no," I said. "I didn't see anything after Furo."

"I-I see," Mirai said. "Well, not like I was expecting anything..."

"Yeah, you got your answer," Monokuma growled. "Bye now."

"No, wait," Noah said, stopping Monokuma.

"Oh, what now..? You know, even being the sexy beast that I am, sometimes I like to take beauty naps!"

"About our rewards," Noah said. "I mean, the rewards that we were supposed to get if we won. What's the status on them..?"

"R-right," Shougo followed. "Monokuma, what are we going to do about the textbook? And the web link?"

"...Well, I don't really know if I can give you the textbook yet," Monokuma sighed. "I must admit though, that question exceeded my expectations! I thought you were all too dull to remember something as important as that."

"The web link though?" Noah asked again.

"Well, I guess I should give you the web link, shouldn't I?" Monokuma asked. "I mean, the time limit is still on. It's not like not knowing about it will help you in any case."

"What about the textbook?!" Shougo demanded. "We need to see that!"

"No, no, no!" Monokuma yelled. "Now that I think about it, the textbook is for the endgame anyways! There are beary important documents in that thing that I cannot have you seeing!"

"Beary..?" Unmei repeated.

This conversation that was happening? It was probably important, but it was flying past me. I couldn't think of anything except for the fact that I probably killed both of them.

...Did I even do it though..?

"So you know what?" Monokuma asked. "Fine. I'll give you the documents tomorrow, but for now, you should wallow in your own pity. Or how I like to call it, despair! Bye n-"

"One more thing."

"Let me sleep, you bastards!" Monokuma growled.

This time, it came from Yoshinori.

"What is your goal?" she asked. "Why are you doing this to us..?"

"...My goal?" Monokuma asked. "Well..."

"It's not like we can spread despair as easily without doing this, so..."

"Take that as you will!"

"What do you mean..?" Yoshinori asked. "Be less vague, damn!"

"I'm sho shleepy though..." Monokuma said, faking a drowsy tone. "I don't think I can keep up with thish...sho I'm going to go to bed now...Bye."

With that, Monokuma was gone. Leaving the seven of us alone.

"T-there seems to be less and less of us," Noah noticed.

"I can't believe we're just coming and going like that..." Unmei said sadly.

I couldn't.

I couldn't say or do anything.

The others kept talking...and talking. But I was...gone.

I needed...to leave.

"I-I'm going to head to my dorm," I murmured. "See you guys later..."

"M-Master, are you okay..?" Mirai asked. "Do you want me to come with you..?"

"No, I don't need any help this time," I said, abruptly ending Mirai's concern. "I-I just...want to be alone for a second."

"O-okay..."

And with that, I left the others behind, and headed straight to my dorms.

And I slept.

And slept some more...

Thinking...and thinking.

"Upupupu, I would talk a little quieter if I were you!" Monokuma announced. "After all, we wouldn't want to wake the others, would we?"

"The others..?!"

"Now then, it's not like I'll reveal that until later. After all, there's still plenty of despair left to come, isn't there?"

"W-what do you want..?"

"Well, that was disappointing!" Monokuma snapped, cutting my thoughts off. "Here I thought you were ready to plan out the ultimate despair for these kids!"

"I don't..."

"I guess you aren't, huh?" Monokuma asked. "But you'll be awakened soon! And when that happens, we'll just have to move on to the next one!"

I didn't even bother trying to respond. He wasn't even letting me think, so there wasn't any point. I just thought about what he said.

He said that...I succumbed to despair?

"Well, bye! Enjoy the rest of your night!"

With that, Monokuma disappeared. And he left be alone to think about what exactly just happened.

Was he...giving me a sign? But for what..?

Closeness Level: 1 == Level Up? == 2?

AN: Well, as you can see, I'm not the best with executions, lol. I hope you realized by now if you want really HQ executions, you should look elsewhere xD. Unless you actually thought it was good, then, yay!

Also this sort of character development for Keiko wasn't supposed to happen until later, but I thought with two different murders and all the disparaging comments, I figured I should probably bring it in a little earlier and show you all...

...Show you all somethin'. IDK.

Also this chapter was strangely longer than I thought it would be. It was 17 pages on OpenOffice which is actually one of my longer ones, so that's a little stranger considering it was a post-trial chapter :P But you never know.

Hope you enjoyed! See ya!
