AN: Hey! I'm back! So I finally got a job here in town and I start tomorrow. I've been working like crazy trying to get everything ready at my old job for when I leave but of course there has to be drama with that. Now that I work and live in the same area I can hopefully get back to regular updates. Thank you to all the favorites, follows, and reviews and for hanging in there with me.

Chapter 24

BPOV

We ended up leaving the house and going to the hotel the next day. We christened all the surfaces that we hadn't before and then got a few hours of sleep before we finally took off. Today is Monday and we are headed from our hotel to the doctors before we get Sophie. We got to the doctor's office and Rosalie goes to check in while I get us two seats in the waiting room.

"They said that the doctor is running behind, so this may take longer than we thought. You might want to let your parents know so they don't leave too early." Rosalie tells me.

"That's a good idea." I tell her as I pull out my cell phone. I text my mom to tell her what's going on and put my phone back in my pocket. After about a forty five minute wait a nurse called our name and took us to the back. She took Rosalie's vitals and then her weight. After that was all done, she took us to the ultrasound room.

"Dr. Ramirez will be with you in a few minutes." The nurse tells us.

"Thank you." Rosalie says.

I help Rosalie up on the table and pull up the stool next to her and take her hand. We wait for about ten minutes before we hear a knock on the door. We tell them to come in and a frazzled looking Carmen walked in.

"Hey, how are you guys doing?" she asked us.

"We're good. We just got married on Friday." Rosalie tells her as she gives my hand a little squeeze.

"Really! Well congratulations you guys. I'll have to change your name on my charts then." Carmen tells us with a little chuckle.

"Thank you." Rosalie replies to her.

"So are you ready to see your baby?" Carmen asks.

"Yes!" we both said at the same time.

"Okay. Rosalie, roll up your shirt. Alright are you ready?" she said before she squirted the gel on her stomach. Carmen placed the wand onto Rosalie's stomach and started moving it around. We could hear the baby's heartbeat but it sounded like there was an echo to it. I looked at Rosalie with a confused look on my face and see her with the same look. Then we looked towards Carmen to see her with a look of concentration on her face.

"Um, Carmen, what's going on?" Rosalie finally asks.

"Hold on, let me take a closer look." Carmen says as she starts moving the wand from side to side. The heartbeat gets louder the closer to one side or the other she moves and then the echo gets louder the closer she is to the middle of Rosalie's stomach.

"So I have some amazing news for you guys. You're having twins!" she announces excitedly.

"Wait t-tw-twins?" I stutter out.

"Yes twins. I don't know how I missed it in the first place, but here is Baby A there and here is Baby B right there." She says as she points to the screen.

"Oh my God." Rosalie whispers in disbelief. All I can do is stare at the screen where Carmen has a shot of both babies on the screen with circles around them to pin point them exactly for us. I was excited and nervous about one baby, but two? I don't know which emotion is winning right now, the over whelming excitement to know that I will have two new little ones or the over whelming nervousness on not being good enough for not only one but two new souls.

"I'm just going to print you guys a few copies of these. Both babies are doing wonderful and are healthy. Here you go. I'm going to go to my office, just meet me down there when you guys are ready." Carmen says to us as she hands Rosalie the ultrasound pictures.

When she walks out the door she shuts it behind her and the room is engulfed in silence. I can't think of anything to say. Rosalie still has my hand in a death grip that feels as if it's only getting tighter.

"Babe. Did I hear her correctly? She said we are having twins right?" I ask Rosalie. I turn to look at her and see tears rolling down her face. That pulls me out of my shock and I stand up from the stool. I put my free hand on her face and wipe away the tears from one side of her face.

"Shhhh. Baby, it's all going to be okay. I promise. We can handle this." I tell try to sooth her.

"These are happy tears baby. I can't believe you not only gave me one baby, but two. I just can't believe how happy I feel right now." Rosalie cries. I pull her into a passionate kiss. I slip my tongue out to lick her lips, asking permission to enter which she grants to me quickly. After a few minutes I pull away and rest my forehead against hers to stare into her eyes.

"I love you soooo much baby. Words can't describe how happy I feel right now." I tell her. "Come on let's go talk to Carmen and then head to dinner with my parents. Do you want to tell them right away?" I ask her.

"Yeah, I want to tell them at dinner tonight." Rosalie says as she wipes off her stomach and pulls her shirt down. I help her off the table and take her hand as we walk to Carmen office. I knock on her door and wait for her to call us in.

"Come in." she calls. "Hey you guys. Have a seat." She says as she stands behind her desk. Rosalie and I sit down and I take her hand.

"Okay, so I pulled out some more information for you on twins. Now I want to see you guys back here in four weeks time. At that point we should be able to see what sex the babies are, if you want. So you guys have any questions for me?" Carmen asks.

"No I don't have any. Do you babe?" I ask as look over at Rosalie.

"No I'm good." Rosalie says with a big smile on her face.

"Okay then. Just go to the front desk and make your next appointment and I'll see you guys in four weeks. And again, congratulations" She says as she stands up. We stand up with her and shake her hand before we head to the door. After Rosalie makes her appointment we get into the car. I had already texted my mom and told her to head to the restaurant and we would meet them there.

We pull up outside of Chili's and head into the restaurant. Once we are inside I spot my parents and walk over to them with Rosalie's hand in mine. Once we are at the table I pull out Rosalie's chair and then sat down beside her. The waitress came over and took our drink order before we looked over the menu. After we give the waitress our order my mom finally bursts.

"So what did the doctor say?" she blurts out. All I can do is chuckle at her.

"Everyone is doing great and all three of us are healthy" Rosalie tells her with a small chuckle.

"Well that's great. Do you…" my mom trails off with a confused look on her face.

"Wait did you say three?" my dad finally asks with his brow furrowed.

"Yes I did." Rosalie says with a smile.

"Mom, Dad, we are having twins." I finally say with a wide smile on my face. Next thing I know my mother is crying while rushing around the table to hug Rosalie and my dad is patting me on my shoulder.

"What are twins?" Sophie asks. I look over at Rosalie to see if she wants me to take this question or not. She nods her head at me so I lean over so I'm at eye level with her.

"Having twins means that Mommy is having two babies and not just one." I tell her.

"Oh, okay." She says as she goes back to coloring. I look over at Rosalie and just shrug my shoulders. I wasn't expecting that to go so easily but I'll take what I can get.

Throughout dinner, my mom and Rosalie talk about all things baby and my dad talk about the Super Bowl game that I got the joy of missing thanks to my lovely wife and best friend. Once dinner is done, my dad and I argue over who is going to pay the bill. We all head out to our cars and we get Sophie's stuff from my parent's car. Once we get home, we all sit down to watch a movie before bed. Sophie chooses to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. After the movie is over, we all head upstairs for bed. It's Sophie's bed time and I know Rosalie is exhausted from all the excitement of the day so I tell her to head to our room while I put Sophie to bed. She tells Sophie good night and heads to our room. I help Sophie get in to her pajamas and then into bed. When I get to our room, Rosalie is already asleep. I strip down to my boxers and sports bra and climb into bed. I spoon behind Rosalie and place a kiss to the top of her head before I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
