And so once again, we embarked to the next dome waiting for us. We boarded the submarine and paddled through the ocean around us. It was very disconcerting to know that there was still more to be observed, and who knows. If one of us wants to kill again, maybe there would be something else that Monokuma wanted to show us.

It's frightening to think about, honestly. The first time a new dome was shown to us, I expected for the worst, but got absolute hell. The stress of the website and the animal pound... Kirei and the others... It was a little much to bear honestly. So now I'm just sitting here wondering what the next place would be like. Will it be just as bad..?

No one spoke for the longest time. The entire trip there was covered in eternal silence, excluding Monokuma's most uncomfortable notions towards us. And the silence was only broken by the sound of the crushing brakes.

Looks like we had docked.

"Ahoy! We have arrived at our destination!"

Monokuma obligated himself to leave the submarine first, and he skipped away a bit hastily as the rest of us stepped out of the metal machine.

"This is the third dome you were in, correct?" Monokuma asked. "I meant to build another one around the time Micky-baby was killed, but sometimes time takes even a toll on me."

"Oh...it's hot here," Mirai noticed. "Good thing I'm wearing a scarf."

"That...would just makes things hotter," Yoshinori said. "Anyways, it is abnormally hot in here. What did you do to this place, Monokuma?"

"Well if you look around, this dome does look a bit like an island!"

...I guess. I took another look around the building. There were a few paintings of palm trees and ocean waves around us, but other than that, it looked just like the other two domes that we were in. Hopefully Monokuma doesn't have any...surprises for us.

"Well then, have fun lookin' around," Monokuma said. "I'm going to go get our male jail baits so we can really get the party going."

Monokuma disappeared in an instant, leaving us all with blank expressions. But now that the demon bear wasn't here...no point in not looking around.

Soundtrack: Noragami – Delivery

"So...should we split up again?" I asked. "That way we can all cover more ground."

"Split..." Mirai murmured. "Banana split..."

"Guess if you want, we could," Yoshinori said. "I don't personally care though. But I don't get to make all the decisions of course."

Yoshinori turned towards Kaito, and pointed sharply at him. Kaito looked at her finger and tilted his head in slight confusion, but soon gave in to her pressure.

"...Sure, I suppose," Kaito said. "Might as well not break tradition."

"You mean a one-time tradition..?" Unmei asked. "It's not like we've done this other times before, you know."

"Alright, sass queen. I'm heading off then," Kaito said.

Unmei puffed her cheeks and looked away, crossing her arms. She walked off in the opposite direction, (very tsundere like might I add), and stormed off. Well, that was only their natural fighting, so it's not something I particularly minded.

"Alright then lawyer boy, you're with me," Yoshinori said. "Move your ass."

"T-the hell..?" Shougo stammered. "Since when did you become so aggressive, huh..?"

"Doesn't matter. We need to leave these two alone anyways."

"Master and I..?" Mirai asked. "Um, but...we're just friends with -"

"Don't say what you're about to say," I said, cutting off Mirai. "Anyways, there's no need to leave us alone you guys...why don't you just fol-"

"No, no, no, that just won't do!" Shougo said, his eyes lighting up. "I may not look it...but I'm quite the romantic."

"Upupupu, with all this death and despair going around us, we need some outlet of happiness," Yoshinori said. "I get that with my shameless shipping fuel...I'm a robot so I'm actually injected with fuel, you see."

I don't think that's how you were built...

"Nyehehehe..." Shougo chuckled. "Well then, let's go Yoshinori...let's leave these two lovebirds alone..!"

"We're not birds though," Mirai said, tilting his head. "And I know Master isn't. I checked, you see, and -"

I clocked Mirai around the head and grabbed his ear harshly. He was spouting nonsense that I wasn't in the mood to hear.

"Alright, smart mouth," I said. "Let's go."

"O-ow..! Master..!"

As I walked away, I could hear Yoshinori and Shougo snickering.

"Woot! Woot! Woot!"

...Oh just shut up.

Location: Beach House | Time: 11:01 AM | Chapter Four | 21 DAYS LEFT

The two of us entered a little room in what seemed to be the back of the dome. As we stepped inside, we met a blast of hot air; something like fire evaporating into our pores. As soon I stepped in, sweat immediately formed on my forehead. Hell, it was hotter than a sauna. There were special shoes that we had to put on so our feet wouldn't get burned.

"I-I don't like it in here..!" Mirai whined. "I'm not good with the heat...do I need a new scarf...?"

"Um, I would actually take that off," I said.

The room was actually built entirely of wood. Well, not entirely, but the overall structure resembled something like a top model log cabin. There was a loft near the roof, which you had to climb a ladder to get up to, and if you looked out the window, you could clearly see the glass surrounding the cabin from the actual dome that kept the water from insulating the inside. I guess it was neat. Unfortunately though I had to remember that this room was filled with death and Monokuma droppings.

There were a couple buckets in the back, but nothing really worth investigating more as far as I could tell. I would have climbed the loft, but it was just too damn hot, I don't think I would have even been able to climb the ladder.

"Mirai, let's go," I sighed. "I'm about to pass out because of the heat."

"Okay," Mirai said. "But hey, Master, I found a bikini in the back. Is it yours..?"

"...Well, first, it couldn't even have been mine because this is the first time I've been here. Second, I've seriously had enough of this perverted erotica coming out of your mouth."

"Ero...tica?" Mirai asked. "It sounds like a snack."

Soundtrack: Monokuma Sensei's Lesson

"Oh, but it is a snack," Monokuma giggled as he appeared from behind us. "But only if you treat it like one."

"What is it with everyone and these...jokes?" I asked, sighing.

"Well, we are in a beach setting," Monokuma noted. "It's obligatory fanservice."

"Not really," I sighed. "Anyways, usually you appear creepily beside us for a reason, so I expect this to be good."

"Am I that predictable?" Monokuma blushed. "Okay, well, I just wanted to explain something to the two of you..."

"And what would be..?"

...the swimsuit effect!"

Ugh. I don't like the sound of this.

"Oh Mirai darling, what is that in your hand?" Monokuma asked.

"A bikini," Mirai answered politely.

"Oh, not just any bikini! A special bikini!"

"A special one..?"

"You see, Mirai, you have just picked up a very rare swimsuit!" Monokuma said. "This bikini was handcrafted by the best of the best...me! And because of that, you now have an hour access to the wave pool that I have constructed on the second floor of this wonderful dome!"

A wave pool on the second floor..? Is that really good architecture at all?

"But the trick is...you have to have your ElectroID and wear the swimsuit to get in!"

"Bwahahaha..!"

Sorry, no, I couldn't contain my laughter. Mirai wearing a bikini would be priceless. He expects us to use that thing when we needed to wear a bikini?

"Do not laugh at my expertise!" Monokuma snapped. "I'm serious! It's a security measure!"

"Okay, so, you really think Mirai would enter the wave pool with that bikini on..?" I asked. "Are you insane..?"

"Hmph..!" Mirai huffed. "You don't think I'd look good in a swimsuit..?"

"Y-you're actually considering it, huh..?"

"Of course, I don't expect you to now," Monokuma said. "But sooner or later, I expect everyone to give up their dignity for this..."

"And how do you think you'll do that?" I asked.

"My name is Monokuma. I can do anything."

"You can't just do anything you want," I said.

"Really now?" Monokuma asked. "Well then, when the time comes, I'll just pin the whole thing on you."

"M-Master, don't underestimate him..." Mirai whimpered. "If he can get us to kill, he can get us to strip down our dignity..."

"I'd rather die than wear a boys swimsuit," I sighed.

"Well, maybe you'll get a better idea of how this actually works when you see the wave pool itself," Monokuma said. "Because you're spouting some real nonsense right now."

"Hmm...I don't really like water," Mirai said. "I like to drink water though...can I drink the wave pool water?"

"If you want to overdose on chlorine, I personally don't care," Monokuma said.

"But you'll only overdose on chlorine with excess amounts of drinking pool water," Mirai said, holding his hand up to his forehead. "But it's rude to take things that aren't yours."

"Okay, that's enough," I said. "C'mon Mirai, let's go. I'm already hyperventilating because of the heat."

"Okay then," Mirai said. He waved Monokuma good bye and the two of us ventured out of the hot springs.

I turned my head for a moment after stepping out of the heat trap, and saw that Monokuma had already disappeared.

Soundtrack: Beautiful Dead

Location: Gift Shop | Time: 11:24 AM | Chapter Four | 21 DAYS LEFT

"Ooh, I can't believe there's a gift shop here..!" Mirai fawned.

"I don't think there would be anything here you'd like," I said. "It's run by Monokuma after all."

Though I had to admit, the gift shop was pretty big. It was the average size of a supermarket...how much things does Monokuma need to keep in excess? I thought it was pretty ridiculous, but I guess it was Mirai's wonderland. His eyes lit up at almost everything he saw, no matter what it actually was.

Then again...there is still the matter of his memories. I think he sort of gave up on searching. Ever since the trial, he's been sort of mute about the whole thing. He probably doesn't even recognize half of the things in the store.

"Master, what is this?" he asked, holding up a walkie talkie. "I found a bunch of them in the back of this place."

"Oh, that..."

I proceeded to explain what a walkie talkie was, and what it did. He understood the concept of a telephone at least, so I was able to make somewhat of a connection with that.

"Heeey!" Unmei called out from the entrance. I turned around and gave a slight wave.

"What is this place?" she asked. "Looks like a supermarket filled with a bunch of useless knick-knacks."

"That's exactly what it is," I confirmed. "It's a store filled with trash."

"...This is trash..?" Mirai asked.

"Well, n-no. It's just...sort of unnecessary."

"Okay..?" Mirai uttered, confused.

"Anyways," Unmei started, "I began to look around the second floor of this place. It looks like all that's occupied up there is that big wave pool."

"Monokuma told us about it," I said. "He said you needed to find...swimsuits to get in."

"Oh, really?" she asked. "I didn't know anything about that. I just saw a huge wave pool, and I was sort of taken aback, so I came back downstairs. But now I'm even more taken aback."

I guess she was right. This dome was a bit more extravagant than usual.

"W-welcome..." uttered a familiar voice. "W-would you like any help..?"

Soundtrack: AoE Second Suite Movement 5P+3P

"Meowykins..?!" I cried, out of shock.

"Y-y'all need any help..?" Meowykins asked. "I got a few things in the back...lemme s-show you them..!"

"Um, forgive me if I'm incorrect," Unmei said, "but I thought you weren't needed by Monokuma anymore."

"That's only your imagination!" Meowykins snapped. "As y'all can see, I'm quite alright with holding down his important gift shop!"

"...Isn't that a little demoralizing?" I asked. "Not that I care, but after you were thrown away, you were brought back just to man a crappy gift shop."

"It's not that crappy..." Mirai insisted. "But it's nice to see you back, Meowykins!"

"Uh, not really!" Unmei said.

"Oh...okay, so, it sucks to see you back," Mirai said.

"Well, whatever," Meowykins cried. "I-I'm just a poor dog who can't get his hands on anything..!"

"Oh, you're a dog?" Unmei asked. "I thought you were a cat."

"I can be both if I want too!" Meowykins yelled. "Now if you aren't here to buy anything, kindly leave! I have to do inventory!"

"A-alright, fine," I said, holding my hands up. "Good luck manning the store!"

"Hmph..!" Mirai huffed, as he left the store, visibly upset.

Unmei hurried after us, and we heard the silent sobs of Meowykins as he brushed the floor with his broom.

Not that I felt bad of course.

Soundtrack: Beautiful Dead

Location: Boardwalk | Time: 12:03 PM | Chapter Four | 21 DAYS LEFT

"Wow...there's really a boardwalk here, huh?" Unmei gawked. "I hate to say it, but it's sort of impressive that Monokuma fit all of this junk in one dome."

I looked at the door in front of me. It was the entrance to a legitimate boardwalk. Through the glass, I could see a long wooden platform stretch all the way across the water. Not sure there was anything of use to look around that place, though. It was just a plank of food fitted inside a glass case.

"There's not even water or sand underneath it..." I sighed. "It's really not that impressive."

"Well, there's a little booth at the end of it," Unmei noticed. "It looks like it's just a food stand though. Not sure why anyone would need to use that."

"If only it was open, I would be all over it," I said. "I love boardwalk food..."

"You have good memories of the beach?" Unmei asked.

"The...beach..." Mirai struggled. "It's that...place with sand, right?"

I nodded. "Well, I don't really ever remember going to the beach with my family...or anything else involving them, which is sort of weird."

...Yeah, it is sort of weird.

"But I always liked the beach," I continued, ignoring that strange feeling. "It'll be sort of cool to ride along the water, riding a horse, arms stretched wide...That ocean breeze is really the best too. I used to go with my friends all the time, but that's what I want to do the most. It's sort of on my bucket list."

"Well, I don't have any aspirations like that," Unmei chuckled. "To be honest, I'm a bit tired of the beach. I go there every year, and I do the same thing everyday. Swim, swim, swim...maybe a little volleyball."

"I've never been to beach," Mirai said, titling his head. "Or, maybe I did, but I don't remember if I did."

"Well, when we get out of this dump, we'll take you, right Keiko?" Unmei asked.

"Definitely," I smiled. "That is of course, if we ever manage to actually escape."

"Oh, don't fret," Unmei said. "We got access to the website, and we still have three weeks to find out anything. We need all the time we can get, but I'm sure we'll manage to leave this place eventually."

"I sure hope so," I sighed. I looked through the glass out onto the boardwalk one more time. It would have been nice if there was actual sand under the wooden structure instead of clear glass, but that was just wishful thinking.

"Anyways, we should probably check out the upper floor," I said. "I'm curious about the wave pool."

"Oh, it's pretty huge," Unmei said. "I was impressed. It was even themed like an actual beach. There was sand, a volleyball court, you name it."

"Really..?" I asked. "Well I'm sure that would be nice, under different circumstances."

"Yeah, guess we don't have time to focus on that right now," Unmei sighed. "Anyways, want to go check it out..?"

"Right," I said.

Mirai looked over at the boardwalk and sighed a little, and uttered something that I couldn't understand.

But thinking back...I probably never thought twice about it anyways.

Location: Wave Pool Entrance | Time: 12:19 PM | Chapter Four | 21 DAYS LEFT

"...Is this the entrance?"

We walked into a little booth built over the glass. There was a large black panel above of us, and directly in front of our faces was the door that opened into the wave pool. I looked through the glass pane built into the door, and saw that Unmei was right. It really did look like a beach.

"Well, let's go inside," Unmei said, and she placed her hand on the door handle.

She turned it, and...no response.

"What the..?"

She rapidly shook her hand along the metallic handle, but no cigar. The door wouldn't open.

"Oh, Mirai, do you still have that bikini?" I asked.

"Oh...no," Mirai said. "I left it at the beach house."

"Why, what would a bikini do..?" Unmei asked.

Soundtrack: Monokuma Sensei's Lesson

"It'll do magic..!" Monokuma said.

"Can you please stop sneaking up to us?" Unmei asked harshly.

"Anyways, Keiko, let me see if I can explain the swimsuit effect to you a little better..!"

"The swimsuit effect..?" Unmei muttered. "I don't really want to hear this..."

"When you find a swimsuit of any kind, whether it be a Speedo, a bikini, or regular trunks," Monokuma started, "you have to change into it, and enter this booth. The panel on the ceiling up there is actually a full body scan that can tell whether or not you're wearing one of my patented swimsuits!"

"What..?" I asked. "So that thing can tell if -"

"You don't need to repeat me," Monokuma interrupted. "You know what I said. When it recognizes that you're wearing one of my sexy suits, you can just pull the handle and enter inside! It's kept at a warm reasonable temperature, and the water is nice and cool, so you can beat that summer heat that's running rampant throughout this third dome!"

"It is unusually hot in here," Unmei sighed. "I wish I could go into the pool right now just to cool off..."

"Then you'd need to find a swimsuit!" Monokuma giggled. "I periodically hide some everyday throughout this dome for you all to find. It's sort of like a scavenger hunt, if you will..!"

"Um, you said that we have a time limit though," Mirai said. "When I picked up that bikini at the beach house, you said we'd only have an hour access."

"That's right," Monokuma said. "So you'd better keep track of your time, or otherwise, something shocking might happen to you!"

"You mean...we'll get punished?" Unmei asked.

"To be more specific, the swimsuits which are made of a special kind of fabric, will begin to malfunction and electrocute whoever is wearing it."

Well that sounds pleasant.

"So time your leisure time the right way!" Monokuma exclaimed. "I'd recommend setting a handy alarm with your ElectroIDs. Oh, and by the way, each swimsuit will have a different allotted time, meaning some swimsuits can allow eight hours of access, and some might only give ten minutes of free-time."

"This is nice and all," I said, "but I don't see we'd ever need to enter this wave pool at all. It's cooler at the other domes."

"Well don't be a party pooper and you'll be just fine," Monokuma said.

Monokuma left soon after that, leaving us in that small booth alone.

"Ugh, well, I looked at everything," Unmei said. "I'm going to go to the entrance lobby. Maybe I can force Monokuma to give me a ride back."

"Oh, I'll come too," Mirai said. "Coming, Master..?"

"Yeah, I'll be there in a second," I said. "You go on ahead."

Mirai nodded, and the two of them walked away to the submarines.

"..."

I took a seat down at the booth, and looked at the ceiling. This heat...really is making me tired.

Maybe...

Maybe I can take a little nap.

Yeah.

I'll set up an alarm on my ElectroID...thirty minutes should be fine.

...Good.

Soon, I could feel my eyelids closing, the heat overwhelming me completely.

"No...well, I am, but..."

"But what..?"

"...I sort of like it," the girl giggled. "Being sad...it's exciting."

"Oh, really..?" the mother asked.

The mother turned from the daughter, and walked towards me. Slowly...she took another step after another.

I reached my hand out towards her, thrusting my hand through the darkness.

She took her hand and wrapped it around my chin.

"Huhuhu..."

...It sent a chill down my spine.

I stood there, petrified, her hand grappling my chin.

She walked away, and went back to her daughter.

"Mommy...who's that..?" the girl asked.

The mother simply shook her head, and looked towards me. Soon, the image of the two began to distort, and darkness filled my head again.

I was confused, but...

For some reason, I was more afraid.
