AN: In the last chapter, Noah stated that his attack and Kaito's murder were indefinitely NOT linked. But is that really the case?

Gosh. I just remembered how it annoying it was to write long chapters.

FateOblivion – Yup, gg :P

Khronovision – Nice speculation. I think you're on track, but maybe there's something about it that you should reconsider for now..?

Emimawi – Oh yup, what a typo on my part, lol. Thanks for pointing that out, I should ninja edit that later. The lack of internet is like death though, so I feel for you. See you!

MizunashiFuyuko – Great speculation, but like Khronovision, there are some things that you should reconsider. Though of course me saying them will get the others on it so... :3

Reven228 – Oh, the psychological battles will begin soon. Thanks for the review!

TheRoseShadow21 – Yeah, I see what you're saying. You might be on track with that, and maybe not. But we'll see.

Heroi Oscura - I have no intention of stopping, so hope you can live out the long updates :) Thanks for reading!

Ode 30 - We'll see. The trial isn't over yet!

Soundtrack: Weekly Despair Magazine

NOAH: Yes...my attack and Kaito's death are not linked together.

HIKARU: So you admit it was not me who attacked you?

NOAH: I guess I shouldn't be a sore loser. You did not attack me, and I stabbed myself.

HIKARU: ...And you put the blame on me to frame me for your attack?

UNMEI: Um, just wondering, what would that accomplish?

NOAH: Hm..?

UNMEI: It's true that if you got stabbed and blamed it on Hikaru, it'll be natural to believe you.

MIRAI: It's not just that...the results would've been more devestating.

MIRAI: It would have caused a discord of trust.

KEIKO: A what now?

NOAH: Ha. That's correct. My goal I was going to accomplish was not to frame anyone for the murder.

NOAH: However, by stabbing myself non-fatally, I was able to live to point my finger against someone. And as you all know, I blamed Hikaru for the attack.

HIKARU: But why..? From everything that happened, that is something I do not understand..!

NOAH: By making sure that I blamed Hikaru, I have no doubts that some of you were intimidated by Hikaru soon after, no?

SHOUGO: Well...that's only natural, right?

NOAH: Indeed.

NOAH: That's why it worked so well...

SHOUGO: Huh?

NOAH: It's only natural that some of you would come to fear Hikaru. That would cause discord amongst you all, and make you feel as if you couldn't trust him.

NOAH: On the contrary, there are a few of you who did not believe what I said. At the very least, it's not that you didn't believe me. No, it's that you doubted my words.

KEIKO: ...What's your point? Why did you want us to mistrust Hikaru..?

NOAH: There's no doubt my attack caused chaos. With that chaos, theoretically, I could use it to wipe someone out of this game.

YOSHINORI: Huh?! You planned on killin' one of us?!

NOAH: Perhaps.

NOAH: Yoshinori...you do not understand my position... It's a shame that I wanted to kill, but...

KEIKO: What do you mean it's a shame?! Murder isn't something you can do on a whim!

MONOKUMA: Upupupu...is that true, Keiko?

MONOKUMA: Didn't Noah decide on a whim to orchestrate an attack because of my threat?

KEIKO: N-no...he had his files beforehand, didn't he?

MONOKUMA: Now now. That is a fact, but what you didn't know is that he planned something on a whim because he was confident it wouldn't fail.

NOAH: Yes, but someone threw a wrench in that. It's the person I feared who would most...

NOAH: And that was Mirai.

MIRAI: …

NOAH: For some reason, I cannot understand you. If I say so myself, I'm remarkable at understanding others and reaching into their heats.

NOAH: However, I cannot appeal to you at all. You are dumb on the surface...

KEIKO: H-he's not dumb..!

NOAH: ...however, in our class trials, you have somehow managed to become a viable source.

NOAH: That is why this was such a risk. To orchestrate and attack and then proceed to murder Kaito...

NOAH: I am sure that at least one of you would have figured out my attack was a sham.

NOAH: So in the meantime, you would have also figured out that the murder was committed by me.

NOAH: Thinking so far into this...I have decided I would go with the first part of my plan. Stab myself in an area that was non-fatal. I was confident I could live, and I did.

NOAH: However, I did not commit a murder knowing this.

UNMEI: What..? Then what was this shit?! Why did you waste our time?!

NOAH: It is not I. It was Mirai who originally wanted to probe the information out of me. Let me ask you Mirai, do you still feel I had something to do with this?

MIRAI: ...I do.

NOAH: Is that right?

MIRAI: I don't really know why...but I do.

NOAH: Well then, everyone. He has no response to us, so he has effectively wasted our time.

MONOKUMA: Now now, Noah. You know that there is no time limit. While it may be a waste of time to me, you can talk about the same thing as long as you want. I'd be forced to listen to your droning conversations though...

UNMEI: ...If anything, you've placed more suspicion on yourself.

NOAH: Is that so..?

UNMEI: You keep trying to change the subject, right?!

NOAH: Puhuhu...

SHOUGO: Stop laughing! You were trying to shift the blame on Mirai for a second there, but you never gave us proof!

NOAH: Proof? About what?

SHOUGO: Why should we believe that you didn't kill Kaito?!

NOAH: ...Fair enough. I guess I didn't. And I can't.

NOAH: ...Uh oh! It looks like I have done something terrible!

UNMEI: What..?

NOAH: I have accidentally added myself to the suspect list...but I didn't commit this murder...

NOAH: But as long as the fact exists that I don't have proof...I will be a suspect till the very end.

YOSHINORI: You think that's a good thing?

NOAH: Indeed. I am nearing my goal...

UNMEI: Your goal?

NOAH: My main goal...

Music Halts

NOAH: To kill everyone here. That is my mission.

Soundtrack: Monokuma's Extracurricular Lesson

KEIKO: ...Huh..?

MONOKUMA: Bahahahahaha!

KEIKO: N-Noah..?

NOAH: I do feel genuinely bad about it...yet...

NOAH: It is a punishment, in essence.

MONOKUMA: Oho? A punishment? What for?

[It...it has to do with those files..! I'm certain..!]

KEIKO: Noah..! Why do you feel that we need a punishment?!

NOAH: Woah, calm down there, Keiko. Haven't we been talking about this for too long?

KEIKO: What?!

NOAH: It's certain that I'm a suspect now, so this punishment I'm talking about is irrelevant really.

NOAH: Now what we need to do is find the true killer amongst us.

KEIKO: W-wait, that's –

MIRAI: Master, I...think we should move on for now.

KEIKO: Mirai?! But he's hiding something!

MIRAI: ...But the truth is, you're hiding something from me too, aren't you?

KEIKO: ?!

KEIKO: That has nothing to do with this trial! Even you know that!

MIRAI: Yes, but...what's important now is that we find the killer.

NOAH: Wise decision.

MIRAI: But I haven't forgot about you, Noah. I'm...certain you're involved. I figure out how.

NOAH: Interesting. Yet in the end, it does not matter. You will all perish.

KEIKO: ...Noah, please..! This isn't like you!

KEIKO: You weren't like this at all! When we first met...you were distant, but you still cared! I'm sure of it!

NOAH: That was before...

NOAH: Don't bug me too much, Keiko. I feel as if I might use something against you.

KEIKO: …?

YOSHINORI: You're trying to blackmail her?

NOAH: She seems to know what I'm talking about.

MIRAI: Figuring out Kaito's death will lead us to the truth...I'm sure of it.

[He means...if I bother him, he'll reveal I essentially killed Furo and Kirei...]

KEIKO: You're acting out of character...and I'll figure out why, but...

NOAH: But what..?

Music Halts

KEIKO: For now, we should talk about the murder, I guess...

Soundtrack: Class Trial Dawn Edition

NOAH: Ha. Excellent.

NOAH: Well then, let's go ahead and discuss the events of Kaito's murder.

UNMEI: H-hold it! Do you expect all of us to just drop the subject about you as soon as you want?!

NOAH: If we find out the truth behind Kaito's death, won't it lead to the real killer anyways?

UNMEI: Even so, you're obviously fibbing about something!

NOAH: Yes, yes. We are not talking about that now however.

NOAH: We are talking about Kaito's death.

YOSHINORI: Unmei, I think it's better off just goin' with one idea. Mirai and Keiko already agreed to it.

UNMEI: Sheesh...fine. I guess we might as well.

NOAH: Very good.

KEIKO: ...S-so...then to start off, how about we talk about how he died?

SHOUGO: Electrocution, wasn't it?

NOAH: No. His cause of death was ultimately unclear, as the Monokuma File stated he died out of severe burns and cuts.

KEIKO: The burns were probably caused by the electrocution of Kaito's body, which just leaves the cuts then.

YOSHINORI: So, how exactly did Kaito's swimsuit blow up in his face?

KEIKO: Oh, about that...

KEIKO: Monokuma told me that the swimsuits actually have a weakness.

YOSHINORI: A weakness, huh? And what's that?

KEIKO: If the swimsuit is exposed to too much heat, it was just explode.

YOSHINORI: I see. Except Kaito was found in the wave pool.

KEIKO: Yeah..?

YOSHINORI: And the wave pool is naturally cooler than the rest of the dome. It had to have been some other sort of malfunction.

MONOKUMA: Impossible! I can acknowledge the one weakness the suit has, but other than that, it's a perfect patented product. It has no flaws aside from the heat!

UNMEI: Well...then, why did it explode?

KEIKO: ...Everyone, think back to earlier. Wasn't there a sudden heat wave?

YOSHINORI: That's right! It just turned incredibly hot at one moment!

MIRAI: Mmhmm. I even fainted!

UNMEI: Huh? But I didn't feel the heat wave.

KEIKO: What?

SHOUGO: Neither did I...

YOSHINORI: That's crazy talk. The temperature definitely fluctuated for me!

UNMEI: But you're a robot...can you even feel heat?

YOSHINORI: Um, yeah! I can!

KEIKO: Well, I felt the weather change too, except for me...it actually wasn't a heat wave at all.

UNMEI: No? Then what was it?

KEIKO: I was at the beach house, and it is incredibly hot in there. Even when left alone. I was searching for a swimsuit for the wave pool because of the heat...

KEIKO: ...and then all of a sudden, it was frigid in there.

UNMEI: It got cold? But I thought you said it was a heat wave?

MIRAI: I guess the weather changed in some parts.

KEIKO: I don't think it was limited to heat. I mean, it was so cold that I passed out.

NOAH: Well then, it could be safe to say that the reason Kaito's swimsuit exploded...

HIKARU: ...was because of that heat wave.

UNMEI: I'm telling you though, I didn't feel that heat wave. Neither did Shougo.

SHOUGO: Why would it have been in only a few places?

[That's a good question...I wonder if...]

UNMEI: But the temperature for me and Shougo didn't seem to change.

SHOUGO: If that's the case...

SHOUGO: Then why did the weather change for you guys..?

UNMEI: All I can tell is...

UNMEI: Maybe the weather didn't even change at all.

KEIKO: No...the weather definitely changed.

MIRAI: We have plenty of people to back that up.

UNMEI: So...what?

UNMEI: I mean, it ==should be impossible for the weather to change== in the first place, right?

UNMEI: We are talking about Monokuma, after all!

KEIKO: You've got that wrong!

Ammunition Used: [Levers]

Soundtrack: Class Trial Future Part

KEIKO: Wait a minute, it is possible to manually change the temperature!

UNMEI: Huh?

KEIKO: Monokuma told Mirai and I this earlier on...

Flashback!

MONOKUMA: Oh this? This is nothing. Just a small engineering room that controls the wave settings and chlorine levels of our magical wave pool!

….

MONOKUMA: If it wasn't for this, the temperature would fluctuate in such abnormal frequencies that you meatbags would just die in seconds.

KEIKO: And when I investigated the room, there were these levers.

UNMEI: Levers..?

KEIKO: There are a bunch of levers that correspond to a different room in the dome.

KEIKO: For example, say Lever A controlled the temperature in the beach house.

KEIKO: The levers work like a shower handle. If you pull it up, the temperature rises, and if you pull it down, the temperature drops.

MONOKUMA: But there is one important thing I should mention...

MONOKUMA: Mostly, each room has an average temperature it must adhere to.

KEIKO: An average temperature..?

MONOKUMA: I mean, the beach house is a place for relaxation, and heat really soothes the muscles!

MONOKUMA: It's like a sauna, and most saunas are hot. So basically, I want to keep the temperature at an average, so if the lever is at the middle, it will stay at the average.

UNMEI: Wait, so you're basically confirming that Kaito was killed by the heat right now, right Monokuma?

MONOKUMA: Well, no.

KEIKO: It's just a possibility.

MIRAI: It's not just a possibility though...that's definitely how the killer did it!

MIRAI: Yeah...it should be, I mean.

KEIKO: The killer could have been trying to track down Kaito, and then used the levers to cause his bathing suit to explode!

NOAH: That's an interesting theory.

NOAH: However, there are a couple problems with that.

KEIKO: What's that?

NOAH: First, the killer would have to have known that Kaito was at the wave pool.

KEIKO: Is that impossible..?

NOAH: Well, not necessarily I suppose. However, the fact that the killer changed the temperature at the beach house and boardwalk...

NOAH: ...means that the killer was not certain of Kaito's whereabouts.

SHOUGO: That's true!

NOAH: Second, the killer would've had to know which lever corresponded to which room.

KEIKO: Oh, right...

NOAH: So you see? It's impossible.

MIRAI: Nope, it's possible, under these circumstances.

NOAH: What..?

MIRAI: What if the killer had an accomplice of some sort?

NOAH: An accomplice..?

MIRAI: Yeah. For example, the accomplice would run to a different room and then test out how hot or cold it felt.

MIRAI: The dome isn't THAT big. At most, it would take a minute to sprint to each room from the engineering room.

NOAH: No, but there's a flaw with that theory too.

NOAH: The wave pool can only be entered with a swimsuit.

NOAH: The timeframe was only one hour. There simply is not enough time.

MIRAI: ...Is...that right?

KEIKO: But Noah, at the same time, you can't deny that the levers are the only possibility for the weather to change.

NOAH: Well, I suppose not. But then the question now is, how did the killer know of Kaito's whereabouts?

KEIKO: His whereabouts..?

NOAH: Clearly if the killer tried to kill Kaito using the "weather," he would need to know which room Kaito was located in?

KEIKO: But the accomplice possibility is still on the table, you know.

NOAH: And the accomplice just randomly found Kaito, huh..?

KEIKO: It's possible though, isn't it?

MIRAI: Hmm...

MIRAI: ...Now, hold on, maybe that part isn't important!

NOAH: Why?

MIRAI: What you're saying would be true...if the electrocution was the thing that killed Kaito.

NOAH: ...Oh!

KEIKO: That's right..! We still don't know about the cuts!

NOAH: But the electrocution has to be the cause of death.

KEIKO: What makes you so sure about that now?

NOAH: Did you even investigate Kaito's body thoroughly?

KEIKO: I mean...at first glance, it seemed like all his wounds were covered up by the burns. His body was electrocuted either way and his skin got blackened.

NOAH: Well, if you'd look close up, you would notice that the cuts weren't too severe.

UNMEI: If it wasn't so severe, then why was it noted in the Monokuma File?

NOAH: They weren't severe, but that doesn't mean they contribute to his death.

MIRAI: ...Okay, so, where would the cuts come from?

NOAH: It had to have come from the hole in the window.

YOSHINORI: A hole in a window? What now?

NOAH: The wave pool entrance had a small window that was smashed in. Glass shards spread across the floor, and presumably were used to cut Kaito.

YOSHINORI: ...Is that so?

MIRAI: ...It probably wasn't the window though.

NOAH: What was that..?

MIRAI: I-I mean, uh...take a look at the actually crack...

MIRAI: It's not that big, so the glass shards that fell were like crumbs...

NOAH: Are you saying you cannot be cut by small pieces of glass?

NOAH: Tell me, if I somehow managed to cut off an inch from the blade of a kitchen knife...

NOAH: And I slashed it against your wrist, would it still bleed?

MIRAI: ..!

MIRAI: U-uh...

KEIKO: Noah, don't say things like that...

[Noah is really being nasty for no reason now. Is he really that confident the window was used to cut Kaito..?]

MIRAI: B-but...the pieces of glass were too small to cut

NOAH: Then pray tell me, what could have cut Kaito?

UNMEI: Maybe it was a weapon of some sort?

YOSHINORI: He...could have cut himself by accident.

NOAH: Both are ridiculous assumptions.

NOAH: He cut himself by the glass shards. No objections?

KEIKO: You've got that wrong!

Ammunition Used: [Shattered Glass]

KEIKO: I...agree with Mirai on this one.

NOAH: You do..?

KEIKO: I took a look at the window, and there were only a few pieces of glass under it.

NOAH: A few can still be used, Keiko.

KEIKO: No, but they weren't big shards at all. They were like the size of stardust.

KEIKO: Even if those small pieces were used to cut Kaito...do you really think they contributed to his death?

NOAH: …

NOAH: Well, it's certainly possible that the cuts could have caused some form of distress...

KEIKO: Listen to me Noah, those pieces of glass wouldn't amount to more than a paper cut.

KEIKO: I don't know what cuts you saw on Kaito, but I don't think they were as big as you said.

NOAH: I'm not lying to you.

NOAH: There was definitely a large gash that I found on Kaito.

NOAH: You could go check yourself if Monokuma allows it.

MONOKUMA: We're quite far from the third dome, Noah. I don't want to delay this trial any further..!

NOAH: Then you should just take my word for it.

KEIKO: …

YOSHINORI: Well, is there any other way to tell what the cause of death was?

NOAH: I'm telling you, it had to have been the electrocution.

NOAH: I'm sure it was.

MIRAI: ...There's still something unclear about this case, though.

NOAH: What would that be?

MIRAI: ...The timeline of events, maybe?

NOAH: What timeline..?

YOSHINORI: That's right! We still don't know when and how these things happened!

MIRAI: For example, we don't even know what came first. The cuts or the electrocution.

MIRAI: Maybe if we find those out, the answers will come clear.

NOAH: Well, try to figure it out, if you can.

NOAH: I don't see how it's possible though.

NOAH: It seems completely impossible to narrow down the time frame to me.

MIRAI: Well, we have to figure it out if we want to survive.

UNMEI: Right then, so who has any ideas?

HIKARU: I think as long as the Monokuma File doesn't tell us anything...

HIKARU: ==There's no concrete evidence that will help us.==

YOSHINORI: So that's it? We aren't just stuck, are we?

KEIKO: You've got that wrong!

Ammunition Used: [Swimsuit Timer]

KEIKO: No, there is concrete evidence somewhere!

HIKARU: Really? Where?

KEIKO: On the back of Kaito's swimsuit, there was a small timer.

KEIKO: I think that timer might have represented the swimsuit's time limit.

HIKARU: As in, if the timer hit zero...

YOSHINORI: Boom!

KEIKO: Um, let's see...the timer stopped at 24:48.

MIRAI: And the swimsuits come in time intervals of 15, 30, 45, 60, and 120 minutes.

SHOUGO: So we can eliminate the possibility of Kaito having found a 15 minute swimsuit.

UNMEI: We can probably scratch off the two hour one as well.

MIRAI: Okay, so that leaves us with the possibility of a 30, 45, and 60 minute swimsuit.

MIRAI: Which means Kaito was at the wave pool for either 5 minutes and 12 seconds, 20 minutes and 12 seconds, or 35 minutes and 12 seconds.

KEIKO: And Kaito was killed between 10:30 and 11:00.

NOAH: Realistically though, it should be 15 minutes after 10:30. I was attacked then, and a few minutes later, you all dispersed to find swimsuits.

KEIKO: Then let's assume that Kaito entered the wave pool at 10:45...

KEIKO: ...Huh? Wait, something isn't right.

MIRAI: What?

KEIKO: He died no later than 11:00, yet the earliest he could have entered would have been 10:45.

MIRAI: That's only a 15 minute difference...

UNMEI: H-huh? But we eliminated the possibility of a 15 minute swimsuit just moments ago!

NOAH: …

NOAH: Aha...

NOAH: Well, this case has certainly become a bit more obvious.

SHOUGO: What? Really?

NOAH: Yes. In fact, it's quite simple actually.

NOAH: I have many answers to this case right now.

MIRAI: Are you sure..?

UNMEI: Well, tell us already!

NOAH: Now now, I'm getting there. Now then...

NOAH: Assume Kaito entered the wave pool at 10:45.

NOAH: Then he was killed at 11:00 by the cuts.

NOAH: The killer thinks that the case so far is too obvious, so knowing the location of Kaito's body, the killer goes to the engineering room.

NOAH: Then, the killer electrocutes the already dead Kaito.

UNMEI: O-oh!

MIRAI: ...I guess that's a possibility.

KEIKO: …

NOAH: Ho..?

KEIKO: Kaito was killed between 10:30 and 11:00!

NOAH: And with my theory, he is killed between those two time frames. What's the issue?

KEIKO: The issue is, after 11:00, nothing would have contributed to his death!

KEIKO: Meaning that if your theory is correct...

KEIKO: The burns wouldn't have been caused by Kaito's electrocution.

NOAH: ...Tch.

KEIKO: Tch?

UNMEI: Well, what does this mean?

NOAH: ...Well Keiko was cleverly shot down my theory.

NOAH: So it seems like we're at a stalemate with the killer.

NOAH: Isn't this funny..? We seem to have run out of ideas.

MIRAI: …

NOAH: In the end, we will all be killed...

YOSHINORI: This isn't the end, we can still come up with more theories, and –

I made the ending kind of abrupt. Hopefully it doesn't urk anyone too bad.

This chapter is also the epitome of waning quality. This rushed chapter was written over the course of a few days so my mojo was interrupted a whole lot in different parts of it. Hopefully I explained everything well enough ^^"
