AN: 50 chapters and 500 reviews! Thanks everyone! This is a pretty big milestone for the story, so thanks so much to those following the stories regularly, and those who drop a review when a new chapter comes out!
Also, please check out DespairFrost's deviantart (Khronovision) if you haven't already! He has done lots of fanart for the cast and they all look really amazing. A bit of a shorter chapter but it's still kinda long, I guess.

[I can't figure it out...which one killed Kaito? Was it Noah, or was it Hikaru..?]
MIRAI: Well, it looks like we've already established our two potential culprits in this case anyways.
MIRAI: We know that Kaito was killed by the cuts on his body, too.
UNMEI: Probably by the glass shards, right?
YOSHINORI: Noah's already suspect 'cuz of his accomplice work with Hikaru, isn't that right?
HIKARU: …
NOAH: …Nn...
HIKARU: ...This, is not advancing the way we had hoped, is it Noah?
NOAH: ...I'd have to agree.
HIKARU: Let me give you a warning, everyone. You've all done a marvelous job in cracking this case. However...
NOAH: ...We'd be damned if..!
Soundtrack: A Dead End to the Ocean's Aroma
HIKARU & NOAH: If we let any of you live by the time we're finished.
KEIKO: ...What..?
YOSHINORI: W-what the hell are you crackheads talking about?!
HIKARU: I cannot deny that we are potential suspects in this case. Through our behavior, and the evidence presented, it's a reasonable outcome.
HIKARU: However...
HIKARU: You still don't have enough proof to convict us.
MIRAI: ...But in the end, does it really matter? The way you've been acting clearly shows that you're both suspicious.
UNMEI: Right, so...can we figure out which one of them did it..?
NOAH: In the end, this will all come down to pure luck. Which one of us killed Kaito? It's a 50/50 chance.
HIKARU: A 50/50 chance...are you willing to bet your lives on that?
KEIKO: ...Is it really just going down to luck?
HIKARU: You proved how Kaito was killed. As of now, I'm the most likely suspect.
NOAH: But I have just as much of a presence in this case, don't I?
[...He's right.]
KEIKO: ...Tch...
HIKARU: It's pointless...we both have as much of a chance, don't we, Noah?
NOAH: We're putting up our goals with luck, are we? You all want to keep living, yet we...we just want to be killed.
HIKARU: …
KEIKO: W-what are you two talking about?!
KEIKO: What the hell happened to you, Noah?! This isn't like you at all!
UNMEI: T-they've gone off their rocker, haven't they? Where are they coming from?
NOAH: …It doesn't matter. It's just something that I remember. You humans...you don't...deserve to live...
HIKARU: …
[...This has to be the work of the files that Noah was given. What's in those damn files, anyways?! Has Monokuma done something to manipulate with his mind?!]
MONOKUMA: Oho? I can read it on your face, Keiko. You think the files I gave to Noah were fabricated?
KEIKO: You read my mind...
MONOKUMA: But I already told you, early on. Your memories were all stolen. There's no point in my fabrication in the first place..!
NOAH: …
KEIKO: ...What were in those files, Noah? You can tell me, can't you?
NOAH: Unfortunately, it's a personal matter.
UNMEI: Um, I request a reasonable excuse..? It's not like you're trying to kill us, right?
NOAH: …Humans...their lives aren't worth anything.
KEIKO: That's not –
HIKARU: Keiko, if only you would know. The extreme trauma both of us had to go through.
KEIKO: Trauma..?
[The files has to do with their personal lives..?]
MIRAI: Is it personal enough to kill us..?
HIKARU: As I said numerous times, once we get down to it, it's all going to be luck.
HIKARU: Was it Noah who killed Kaito, or me?
NOAH: Oh, and don't forget the possibility that it wasn't actually us who killed Kaito anyways.
KEIKO: That's ridiculous...
NOAH: So what? Are you going to rely on a 50% chance?
UNMEI: W-we can't do that..! It's our lives on the line here!
MIRAI: Mm...Hmm...
MIRAI: um...um...um...
NOAH: Did Mirai break..?
MIRAI: I'm just thinking really hard...Is there really nothing left for us to look at?
MIRAI: …
NOAH: If you find something, feel free to present it now..!
HIKARU: But when you get down to it...there's absolutely nothing.
HIKARU: We'll play our lives by luck...

SHOUGO: E-everyone, we still didn't look at what time Kaito was killed...
YOSHINORI: Huh?! Yeah we did. It's between 10:30 and 11:00. Is there really anything we can go after at this point?
SHOUGO: W-well...I was maybe thinking the exact time might be helpful..?
YOSHINORI: T-that's impossible, dude.
[...It's..impossible?]

==PHASE THIRTEEN==
(AN: The phase before this was actually Phase 12, my bad y'all.)
RE:Visualization!
Um, okay. So not everyone is apparently on the same page here...it seems like not all of us are clear on when Kaito was actually killed. Well, actually, that much is spelled out for all of us. We have a piece of evidence that tells explicitly that he was killed between 10:30 and 11:00, so that's not really useful to us. I mean, why would it be..? We don't even know when Hikaru was at the wave pool in the first place. But, maybe...if I think back hard enough, I can guess?
Well then, let me think back to the start of this case, and work my way through the timeline. When we discovered Noah's body. Him attacking himself was probably related to this murder case, right? Meaning that there had to be a reason that Noah attacked himself in the first place. While we thought at first it was to frame Hikaru...was it really? I mean, if the two were working together since the beginning, placing suspicion on Hikaru wouldn't really do either of them any benefits.
So...Why did Noah even stab himself?
To gather everyone in one place.
To drive everyone to find swimsuits.
To set up a situation where he can kill everyone.
...DID HE WANT TO GATHER EVERYONE IN ONE PLACE?
Okay, so let's assume that Noah wanted to gather everyone into one place. Under this scenario, there would have to be a reason why he wanted to gather everyone somewhere, right? Maybe he wanted to create a situation where Hikaru and himself could move around freely? It's obvious that Noah wasn't hurt much by his knife wound, because he was able to suppress the damage he did to himself. Knowing all this, why did Noah want to gather everyone in one place?
To mess with the temperature.
To start his murder plan.
Noah and Hikaru weren't working together at this point.
HE WANTED TO MESS WITH THE TEMPERATURE
That actually makes a bit of sense, when you think about it. The motive that Monokuma gave, which were the files, were given to Noah at 10:00. We were trying to find him until 10:30, and by some luck, it's a possibility that Hikaru and Noah had met beforehand while we were searching to plot out this murder. When we first discovered that Noah was attacked, it was just Mirai and I who had found him. Meaning that in the time that Mirai was fetching the others, Hikaru could have walked around without any problems! That's when he set the temperature to unreasonable temperatures. He walked into the engineering room, and messed with the levers.
Okay, so we got that. But...wait a minute. There's something that's confusing me. Why did Noah even want to change the temperature in the first place? We've already established that Kaito's electrocution came from earlier when we were all at the wave pool together. So, why would there be any reason for Noah and Hikaru to mess with the temperatures anyways?
To weaken the others.
To cause confusion throughout.
To establish a red herring.
HE NEEDED TO WEAKEN THE OTHERS!
Y-yeah! Now that I think about it, both Mirai and I actually fainted because of the temperature alterations. The most suspicious thing that Mirai had fainted while he was "protecting" Noah. If Mirai had fainted, Noah could have left and gone to help Hikaru! I mean, I know that I had fainted in the beach house past Kaito's actual murder...I mean, I actually fainted at 11:05. But I remember the hallways were still absolutely burning. Hikaru messed with the temperature while we were searching for Noah...that much is clear.
Okay, so far, I know that Hikaru and Noah had been working together since the start. Then later, Noah attacked himself to create a diversion where Hikaru then changed the temperature. After the temperature dramatically changed, Mirai had fainted, and Noah had escaped to assist Hikaru. This should be around 10:45. Hikaru must have also found his swimsuit during this time, because this is where he was at!
He was at the boardwalk.
He was at the wave pool.
He was at the beach house.
HE WAS AT THE WAVE POOL
…
…
…
KEIKO: Everything is clear to me now!
NOAH AND HIKARU WERE BOTH AT THE WAVE POOL!
Soundtrack: Class Trial FUTURE PART
KEIKO: The time Kaito was killed...should be around 10:45, I think.
NOAH: ...N-no way..?!
SHOUGO: B-but, Keiko, how did you figure that out?
KEIKO: I just thought about it for a while, and I thought of a scenario where the two could have easily worked together.
[I took the time to explain my thought process to the others. As I looked to see the faces of Noah and Hikaru, I could see that anxiety was slowly creeping into them. Excellent.]
HIKARU: T-that's a pretty wild theory you have there, Keiko. But what proof do you have?
KEIKO: Why do you always need proof, damn it?!
NOAH: It's the way proceedings work.
KEIKO: But this is a freaking class trial..! Well, if you really want to know...I don't have any solid proof.
MIRAI: No, hold on. We might have something to prove your theory, Keiko. I think you're right, so...
KEIKO: ...We do?
NOAH: W-we do?
MIRAI: And I think that...at the end of the day, this might lead us to who the true killer is!
KEIKO: ..It will?
NOAH: I-it will?!
MIRAI: Now, let's see...

NOAH: N-nonsense! Such a thing doesn't exist!
MIRAI: I don't agree. I'd say such a thing does exist.
HIKARU: This is ridiculous. This is based on a wild fantasy claim...
HIKARU: ...that Keiko had thought up herself.
UNMEI: So, Noah and Hikaru were both at the wave pool, right?
UNMEI: I don't really see how this proves anything.
MIRAI: The time of death...and murder weapon probably culminates...
MIRAI: With the murder weapon. The glass shards, maybe..? Or...

[Why are you so excited to convict a friend..? But, uh...]
KEIKO: S-sure, Mirai. Go right ahead.
MIRAI: I mean, where did the knife in Noah's chest go?
NOAH: ...G-gah!
HIKARU: You can't be suggesting..!
UNMEI: ...Oooooh! I get it now! The real murder weapon wasn't the glass shards, was it?
KEIKO: Of course they weren't...now that I think about it, those glass shards were too small in the first place.
MIRAI: Maaaybe we thought they were the murder weapon because we had nothing else to go on!
MIRAI: But now, Keiko's theory might be correct.
NOAH: N-no...Please stop..!
SHOUGO: I see..! If Keiko's right in Noah going to the wave pool, then he could have taken the knife that he stabbed himself with...
MIRAI: To kill Kaito!

NOAH: ...What?!
KEIKO: During the investigation, Unmei told me that she saw Hikaru standing by Kaito.

NOAH: Shut up! You have no point!
KEIKO: So imagine this. What if when Unmei saw Hikaru and Kaito...
Kaito had already been killed?
NOAH: …
NOAH: ...W-what..?
UNMEI: Wait, what..? You mean...when I saw Kaito and Hikaru that time...Kaito was already dead?!
KEIKO: That makes sense, doesn't it? Unmei didn't know, but that accounts for a third person to trigger the corpse discovery announcement!
UNMEI: I-I can't believe it..! So...you really did kill Kaito?! What the hell?!
KEIKO: Noah, you had the knife. You set this whole plan up. Please...come clean to us!
NOAH: …
KEIKO: I don't...I don't want to mistake you as the real killer, so...If it really was you, just tell me.
MIRAI: At the end of the day, we still don't really have solid proof, do we? If Hikaru and Noah were in the wave pool at the same time, Hikaru could have easily just stabbed Kaito.

KEIKO: ...But we still don't truly know who killed who..!
HIKARU: Yes, that is an issue isn't it? Well, I'll tell you what...I'll reveal the truth.
NOAH: D-don't you dare! I'll –
HIKARU: You'll what? Kill me? I thought the point of our little exercise here was to get everyone killed.
HIKARU: However, I am a man who knows when to quit. Unlike you, Noah, I don't see a point in this any longer.
HIKARU: ...I've been thinking throughout the trial, if my motives were really just. And at this point...
HIKARU: But first, Keiko, if you will.
KEIKO: ...Okay. Sure. I got you, Hikaru...I'll finish this.
[...Let's bring this to an end.]
Soundtrack: Re:Climax Return
Chapter 1
This mess of a case started long ago. Believe it or not, it had actually started when Monokuma had given out the motive. It was a direct motive this time – a motive specifically designed to fish out and drive someone to murder. That was Noah.
Chapter 2
After these files were threatened to be released by Monokuma, Noah and gotten together with Hikaru, for some reason. The two of them had begun to work out a complicated plan to kill someone, and a few coincidences were able to place themselves down. But first, Noah had to stab himself in the chest.
Chapter 3
While Noah caused a diversion with his injury, Hikaru took advantage of the confusion to tamper with the temperature with the levers in the engineering room. After Hikaru had messed with the temperatures...Mirai fainted. Whether or not this was a stroke of luck, Noah took advantage of this. He went to the wave pool, where Hikaru was also headed, and the two of them went off to search for their prey.
Chapter 4
Finding swimsuits, the two of them headed into the wave pool where they found Kaito. Noah took the knife that he had stabbed into himself, and attacked Kaito, creating these "cuts." The scene of the crime...was probably tidied up a bit afterwards. But they also must have tampered with the wave pool window to create a red herring with the glass shards. They also must have tampered with Kaito's swimsuit, in order to create the false impression that Kaito was electrocuted by the heat fluctuations, when really, he was electrocuted beforehand because of a mistake Monokuma had made.
Chapter 5
Coincidentally, Unmei had walked by around the same time. She accidentally saw Kaito's body, while he was already dead. Not knowing this, she just assumed that Kaito was with Hikaru and went on her own way.
Chapter 6
However, Hikaru than chased after her, and told her that Kaito had been killed. Unmei told me herself that this gave her confidence that Hikaru was unrelated. Meaning that Hikaru probably did this to shell himself of some of the suspicion. I mean, surely the culprit wouldn't report the victim after they killed him. Knowing this, Hikaru told Unmei.
And then...the trial happened.
"This is...the basic outline of what happened," I explained. "So...who was it, Hikaru? Who really took that knife and killed Kaito?"
AN: This was rushed like no tomorrow, jfc. I'm actually really unsatisfied with how I ended this because of the lack of true confessions. There are lots of things that weren't really shoehorned. It just seemed shoehorned because I didn't take the time to expand on it.
But this was mostly for selfish reasons. I really wanted to get Chapter 4 behind me and start working on Chapter 5, because...well, we're nearing the endgame after all.
Hope you enjoyed it nevertheless. This is the end of the class trial.
