Hey all sorry its been so long since I posted but I will try to do more updates more often like I used too hope your still enjoying the story

It had been a week since Angel had found the baby cougar she along with Blue Eyes, Caesar & Rocket had gone to the tower under the cover of night where she'd found what she was looking for she got as many tubs of kitten formula as she could find placing them in bags then they all headed back to the village

*Some days after*

Blue Eyes hoovered near the door to the hut Angel was living in along with the baby cub shed come to adopt watching her from the door Angel looked up smiling

"Hey where have you been?"

Blue Eyes didn't answer but kept his gaze on the young cub who was feeding from a bottle while laying in Angels arms, purring Angel waiting for Blue Eyes to say something to her anything then after sometime or what to Angel seemed like forever he finally signed

"Ash"

Angel frowned

"Ash what?" she asked feeling frustrated Blue Eyes had seemed to be keeping her at arms length & it hadn't gone unnoticed by most everyone in the village but she couldn't understand why he was doing it or what shed done

"Needed help" he spoked after a short pause "wanted to do something nice for Kali so he asked for my help... Are you coming to eat with us tonight or staying with that?" pointing at the young cub

Angel just sighed & looked away right now she wanted to be anywhere but there with Blue Eyes without looking at him with a flat tone to her voice she simply said

"Here"

Blue Eyes started to feel frustrated why was she putting that thing ahead of him she hadn't laid with him since she'd gotten it. Maybe Koba was right & she should have left it where she'd found it he missed being close to her but all she did was fuss over what could become something that could kill everyone in the village turning without saying another word Blue Eyes left the hut

Ash saw Blue Eyes making his way to the main eating place gathering some food he sat alone away from everyone else Ash & River shared a look before River signed

"Where's Angel?"

"Don't know will go ask"

But before Ash could go to find out what had happened his mother pulled him back down

"Later" she signed

Ash let out a small huff but did as he was told

"Blue Eyes eating alone again?" Rocket commented sharing the same worried look as his father who was aware this had become a regular recurrence

"Will speak with him" Koba spoke up Caesar smiled at his old friend

"This is something I must do"

& with that Caesar made his way over to his son.

Blue Eyes turned when he heard someone coming but his hopeful look soon faded & he turned back to looking out at nothing

"Son?" Caesar spoke in a gentle voice "what's happened?" sitting next to his son Caesar waited for Blue Eyes to tell him what was on his mind

"Is it Angel?" Caesar asked trying to prompt his son to speak

"Not human problem" Blue Eyes finally signed

"Then what?"

Blue Eyes just sighed trying to work out what he was feeling & how best to tell his father

"When I was born..." Blue Eyes turned to face his father who sat there waiting patiently "did mother ever... pull away from you?"

"Pull away?" Caesar asked puzzled

"Not want to be with you?" Blue Eyes asked looking embarrassed by the question shifting a little when his father gave a small smile when he understood what his son was asking

"Yes & no" Blue Eyes looked at his father "the day you were born son, my life became complete I'd never known such joy. I felt it again the day your brother way born your mother did pull away from me a little but only for the first few weeks as it was her way of copying with the new change & she wanted to protect you... from everything is Angel pulling away from you?"

Talking about this kind of thing was new for Blue Eyes & he wasn't sure if speaking to his father about it was the best idea but he didn't know who else he could ask that said he'd always felt more at ease speaking to his mother about personal things but he wanted to know what his father may have felt

"Angel is... different only ever spends time with the baby she found never wants to be with me" Blue Eyes looked away sadly before looking back at his father

" Talk with her son, tell her how you feel"

& with that Caesar left his son to think making his way back over to Rocket & Koba & smiled as he saw Cornelia

"Blue Eyes ok?"

she asked as she watched as their oldest son made his way back to Angels hut food in hand

"I think... he will be" handing Cornelia a bowl of fruit he sat down next to her & continued to eat

*Later that night *

Angel sat alone with her back to the doorway stroking the young cub who was by now fast asleep next to her Angel heard someone come in turning she saw Blue Eyes waiting by the doorway

"Not in the mood for another fight Blue" Angel said quietly before turning to look back at the cub Blue Eyes shifted at the door for a moment before making his way fully inside closing the curtain behind him making his way over to Angel he sat down next to her & handed her the food he'd brought waiting for her to take it. Angel looked at him confused but still didn't accept his food offer even though they both knew she was hungry Blue Eyes gave a small sigh & set the food down just in front of her Angel could feel Blue Eyes' eyes boring into her but she just looked at the floor Blue Eyes gently lifted her head till her eyes met his cupping her face he placed his forehead to hers before speaking

"Don't want to fight want to heal"

Angel still confused looked at Blue Eyes

"heal?" she asked

" You & me broken want to fix... " Blue Eyes paused & shifted his eyes to the young cub before looking at Angel "boy or girl?"

Angel cocked her head Blue Eyes pointed & asked the question again

"humm girl... I think"

"Need to name if she going to stay with us... pick a name" Blue Eyes waited for Angel to name the young cub

"Why don't we both pick a name?" Angel asked hopeful Blue Eyes would be open to the idea. Blue Eyes thought for a moment before nodding after going back & forth on names neither Angel or Blue Eyes liked Angel suddenly said

"Ok then what about...Bright Eyes?...ya know after your grandmother?" Blue Eyes frowned but in a thinking way before he nodded his head

"Really? Ok so that's her name then...Bright Eyes... Now do you wanna tell me what's been going on with you? Why have you been pushing me away?"

Blue Eyes was shocked by the question he pushing her away?! She was the one who was pushing him away. Blue Eyes spoke slowly

"You spend all your time with cub never want to be with me, never come eat with me, never spend time talking anymore all you ever do is fuss over that...over Bright Eyes you never want to spend time with anyone not with just me & wont..." Blue Eyes trailed off

"Wont what?" Angel asked

"Lay with me anymore only want to lay with cub... Koba said you care more about that now then about being with apes that you don't want to be with me anymore"

"Koba?!..." Angel asks angrily while trying not to lose her temper "Koba was wrong yeah this little one is important to me but nothing is more important to me than you are! But lately you always seem to be upset with me never want to be around me always going off either with Ash or Linx or Java or even with Kali so I stay here out of the way but I never wanted you not to be with me & when I did come to you that first night night you said you wanted to sleep alone..." Blue Eyes looked at Angel for a short time before signing to her

"So you still want to be with me?" Blue Eyes asked

Angel looked Blue Eyes in the eye before gently touching his face with her hand

"Do you really need me to answer that?"

"Tonight I'll stay close to you"

Angel smiled up at him while she than pulled him into a hug "Blue..." Blue Eyes looked down at her

"Thanks for bringing me some food"

Blue Eyes just smiled to himself pulling her closer to him

a short time later Blue Eyes let go of Angel & pulled both himself & her up on their feet

"River will want to see you" Blue Eyes sighed Angel looked at the still sleeping cub

"She'll be fine"

Angel nodded & followed Blue Eyes who asked a bemused Luka to go sit in the hut to keep watch on the sleeping cub for a short time Luka had a soft spot for Angel & could never say no to anything she asked
