*Later*

As Blue Eyes Angel & bright eyes made their way home no one really spoke the ape human & cougar just walked side by side Angel glanced at Blue Eyes from time to time wondering what he was thinking but said nothing when they finally got back to the village Blue Eyes turned to her signing

"Need to speak with my father I'll find you later" without waiting for Angel to respond went off in search of Caser leaving Angel just watching him go

"Where's Blue Eyes going?" a gruff voice from behind her asked causing Angel to jump a little turning to see who the voice belong to she was surprised to see Luca making his way over to her

"Went to speak with his dad" she informed the gorilla she'd grown very fond of Luca over the past few months as the two of them had spent more and more time together Luca just gave her a nod before returning to use sign

"Jeanpirre has been looking for you….say he needs your help with something"

Angel raised her brows *wonder what he wants* thought Angel shrugging she turned to Luca

"Do you know what for?" she asked but Luca just shook him head "Where is he?" she asked

"Saw him by the stone table a few moments ago" Luca informed her Angel thanked Luca before making her way through the throng of apes to see if she could find him Angel couldn't think what the ape could want from her as the two rarely had much to do with one another and all she really knew about him was that he was the younger brother to Stone who was nearly always with either Grey or with Koba and she was all too aware of the fact the trio was less than fond of her although Jeanpirre seemed to be more willing to tolerate her she was still a little weary of him he was a big ape but seemed to have quite a gentle nature about him after about ten minutes she found the ape she'd be looking for she called out his name and he looked over to her giving her a nod

"Luca said you needed my help with something?"

Jeanpierre studied the human for a moment before nodding he got up and started to walk away leaving angel confused before he stopped and beckoned for her to follow shrugging Angel followed him once they were clear from most of the apes Jeanpierre turned to her

"Need to ask you about sparrow" Angel again raised her brows but said nothing & waited for the ape to continue

"Do you know if she has a mate yet?" Jeanpierre looked somewhat awkward and embarrassed avoiding eye contact it wasn't a secret about the fact that both Jeanpierre and Sparrow seemed to like one another yet neither had made a move to do anything about it smiling to herself Angel shook her head

"Don't think so why you ask?" Angel knew full well why he was asking but still wanted to hear it from him but once again Jeanpierre looked away and down at the ground

"Can you find out?

The question caught Angel a little by surprise looking Jeanpierre in the eye seeing how hopeful he was again made her smile she placed a hand on his shoulder before she nodded her head

"But ya know you could always just tell her how you feel"

Jeanpierre's head snapped up looking alarmed then frowning a little before he scratched the side of his head Angel had noticed more than a few apes did this when they were either nervous or unconfutable about things after a pause witch seemed to go on forever Jeanpierre looked at Angel again before signing

"How long you know?"

"A while" Angel replied "Relax I'll ask her" Angel again smiled at the ape he seemed to be somewhere between Blue Eyes' and Kobas age but the ape just nodded then started to make his way back to where everyone else was starting to gather for the even supper.

Angel spotted Ash along with his father Rocket who was making his way down to join the rest of the colony Angel also spotted Blue Eyes who seemed to still be talking with his father Angel couldn't make out what they they were talking about but it seemed to be somewhat heated by the way the father & son were signing Blue Eyes threw in the odd scowl from time to time

"Angel sitting with me tonight?" Angel turned to hear yet another gruff but gentle and somewhat young voice smiling when she saw River

"Course but first I need to go tend to Bright Eyes can't have her going hungry can we"

Not long after angel called for Bright Eyes who made her way over to where the human female was

"Hey there beautiful" Angel greeted the big cat "How about we get something to eat" the cougar just looked at the human and waited following as Angel made her way to where she could smell the meat cooking Angel picked up a good handful of uncooked meat before moving away to find a spot for her to sit with the big cat River made his way over to her Angel placed the meat down next to where Bright Eyes was sitting

"Enjoy" Angel sated as she watched as the cat took a few sniffs before settling down to enjoy her own dinner smiling she turned to River

"Come on let's get something to eat she'll find us when she's done" nodding River followed his human friend to where the apes had already started to eat looking over she saw Caser making his way down to where Rocket sat with Ash *where's Blue Eyes?* Angel thought to herself

Before long supper way over the sun had long since set and night time was well underway by this time most of the apes had started to bed down for the night but Angel still hadn't seen Blue Eyes sighing to herself she looked over to see Bright Eyes

"Well come on then let's go home" following Angel made her way to her hut getting settled for the night

A short time later Angel heard a light thud outside the door to her hut seeing the outline of an ape Angel looked over through the darkness Blue Eyes didn't say a word to her but just got into the bed next to her

"Everything ok Blue?" she asked only to receive a shrug in response frowning Angel again spoke

"Where were you tonight?"

Blue Eyes rolled over to face his mate "Needed to get some air" he stated without going into details Angel again asked if he was alright Blue Eyes just sighed before saying

"It will be… Should rest its late" Blue Eyes pulled her into a hug closing his eyes Angel did the same and she was soon fast asleep

*Much later that night*

Blue Eyes has long since given up on trying to get any sleep he knew there was no point as there was too much on his mind Blue Eyes looked down slightly to see Angel sleeping peacefully her head still on his chest lifting his head a little saw Bright Eyes a little way off also sound asleep Blue Eyes let out a sad sigh the talk with his father hadn't gone the way he'd hope it would and to be honest Blue Eyes was starting to wonder if this relationship with his beloved Angel was really worth the heart ache & the seemly endless uphill battle although he knew in his heart that he loved Angel in the back of his mind he started to think maybe Koba was right maybe he should just be with an ape…
