"If you ask me should let Bright Eyes have him" Ash signed giving the big cat a pat on the side Angel just smiled but soon frowned as she watch Blue Eyes making his way over to Chaser
"What the hell's he doing?!" Angel asked not really to anyone Ash looked over to where Blue Eyes was with Chaser & what looked like Manny Vincent & Throttle the Bachelor group seemed to be in a heated argument with Blue Eyes who although a little annoyed stayed calm & cool trying to see what Chaser had to say about things
Not too long after Blue Eyes along with Throttle made his way back over to Ash and Angel who had by now been joined by Linx her sister Java, Butter Domino & KitKat
"So what'd big smelly and ugly have to say for himself" Angel asked as Blue Eyes finished greeting everyone earning more than a few surprised looks & raised eye brows by her statement of Chaser
"Says you attacked him for no reason but we will speak with my father when he gets back get to the root of what's going on" Blue Eyes signed Angel scowled before looking back over at the ape who was still giving the human dirty looks
"I did not!" Angel almost yelled
"We know" Throttle signed "He's just upset that a female bested him, but don't let this ruin the day" Throttle looked over warmly at Linx then up to the sky "The sun is out and it's a good day to go fishing what you think?... unless are scared I'll out fish you" Throttle teased Angel
"It's on" Angel playfully pushed Throttle who returned the shove "What about you little darling?" Angel said looking at Bright Eyes who had gone to lay under a nearby tree for a nap the big cat simply looked at Angel then placed her head back down "OK guess not hey race ya to the river!" Angel took off running with Ash Java Linx Throttle Comet Domino Butter & KitKat not far behind causing Blue Eyes too chuckle to himself shaking his head he ran to catch up.
*At the river*
"You ok?" Angel asked when Blue Eyes had caught up to the group smiling at her Blue Eyes just nodded Angel handed out fishing sticks shed remembered to bring before having her mad dash to the river in which she had lost the race to Throttle who was very pleased with himself
"Ahhh it's only cos I let ya win" Angel said as she rolled her eyes at the young ape who was still puffing out his chest.
Comet wondered over to Ash Blue Eyes & Angel who'd found them a good clear spot
"Do you want me to help you with that?" Comet signed walking behind angel & reaching for the bait she was trying to get on Blue Eyes & Ash exchanged looks Blue Eyes frowning a little but neither ape said anything Comet gazed at the young human female a moment before catching Blue Eyes' eyes shifting his gaze he moved a little away from Angel who hasn't seemed to notice anything
Throttle Linx Java & Domino were a little downstream while butter KitKat Domino & Tips were further up hours fast with everyone having caught at least two or three fish Blue Eyes was sitting by a Tree watching Ash getting splashed by Throttle & Domino with Angel grinning with her head on his shoulder before long everyone was getting hungry so all made their way back to the village Linx & Java as always bickering about silly nothings suddenly Comet ran to catch up to Blue Eyes Ash Throttle & Angel giving the human a toothy pant grin Comet who was so named for he was always on the move never in one place for too long turned to Angel signing
"Can carry that for you if you'd like" pointing to the two baskets full of fish smiling Angel shook her head
"It's fine not really heavy but thanks anyways" everyone walked along not saying much but everyone could still hear Linx & Java it was starting to get on Blue Eyes' nerves
"Will you both just stop! Enough is enough no one what's to hear the two of you bickering! If either of you say another word I'm tying you to the tree and leaving you there" frowning the two young apes stopped & stared at the young chimp as he let out a frustrated sigh but kept walking
"Blue Eyes, what has gotten into you?!" Angel seemed just as shocked by Blue Eyes' outburst as the sisters had been
"No time to be playing the fool we need to get this catch home" The light hearted mood had all but gone and the whole group was feeling the tension but before long Angel and the rest of the apes had made it to the village Throttle Linx and Java went to see his father about something while the others seemed to go about their own thing after handing in one or two other baskets Angel made her way over to the food hut but didn't see anyone so set to work on getting the fish ready to have for the supper tonight Blue Eyes stayed by the watering hole with Ash as always by his side but from where he was sitting he could still keep an eye on Angel just in case Chaser got any ideas about having more fights with his Angel
"What was that about earlier?" Ash signed waiting to see what his friend had to say about his behaviour
"What was what about?" Blue Eyes asked frowning he really wasn't in the mood to answer questions but that said he didn't know why he'd suddenly gone into a mood.
"The thing with Linx and Java, you know how they get…. Still never seen you be like that with them" Ash was starting to worry about his friend he noticed the past few days that Blue Eyes' had not been acting like himself he was withdrawn moody and argumentarve with just about everyone and the more he tried to ask his friend what was wrong the more he seemed to pull away
Blue Eyes just shrugged he didn't really know himself
"Will make it up to them later" Blue Eyes could see Ash wasn't willing to let it go that easy so waited to see what he'd have to say seeing Comet making his way over to the food hut he watch as Comet and Angel spoke but wasn't able to make out what they were saying
"Hi" Comet signed making Angel jump a little but she soon smiled at the young ape but carried out with the fish
"Hey Comet how's it going come to help out?" Angel said half joking but still a little surprised when Comet picked up a fish & started descaling it the two just smiled
"Angel…." Comet spoke in a gruff but quite voice causing the human to look at him "Was wondering if you could help me with something….."
"I can try" Angel replied curios as to what he wanted help with Comet set aside the fish he'd been working on and pick up another one starting it all over again while Angel was still waiting to learn what he wanted help with
"Can help me with speaking….so can talk more like you….better than other apes….better then ….."
Comet didn't finish the sentence Angel raised her eye brows a little surprised he'd never shown an interest in making his speech better before now that said none of the apes really had what was the point to talk when they mostly used sign but Angel was happy to help if she could if she was honest she'd missed having conversations with her voice
"Sure I'd be happy to help how about we start tomorrow?" Comet let out a big smile and nodded chuckling a little Angel smiled at the chimps earnest "OK sounds like a date to me" Comet cocked his head to the side but Angel just laughed "I'll meet you by the watering hole at noon" Comet gave her a nod than placed the fish in the bowl and left the hut Ash and Blue Eyes watched him go Ash turned back to Blue Eyes
"Humm wonder what that was about." Ash signed noticing the look on Blue Eyes' face he poked his friend but got nothing out of him
Blue Eyes had noticed Comet had be acting strange around Angel first the fishing poll then offering to carry the fish now going to see her and if he was honest Comet's sudden interest in Angel was starting to bother him but he shook the feeling off
"Don't know think we should ask her?" Blue Eyes signed turning again to watch Angel who by now had moved on from the fish and was sorting out the elk meat getting it carved to fit on the sits to be roasted later
Ash nodded "Let's go find out" it didn't take the two apes long to make it to the food hut
"Hi Angel bird…." Ash spoke up Angel looked up Ash hadn't called her that in a while "Hi guys I'm surprised you even know where this place is" Angel said jokingly Blue Eyes came to stand next to her
"Need help?" he asked but Angel just shook her head "Almost done all I got left to do is sort out Bright Eyes' dinner but if you really want to help you can sort out the fruit and nuts for me" Angel pointed to a large pile of all types of fruits berries and nuts Ash and Blue Eyes nodded getting to work Ash poked Blue Eyes. The young ape take a deep breath Blue Eyes made a small hoot to get Angel to look over to him before setting down a bunch of apples
"What Comet wants?" Blue Eyes signed trying to keep his face a mask as to not give anything away
"Help to speak clearer…. Said I'd try to help him maybe teach him some new words or at least try to get him to speak clearer…"
Ash's head shot up "When?" he asked
"Tomorrow by the watering hole at noon, can come too if you'd like" Ash give her a pant hoot and a nod
"Blue Eyes, come too?" Ash signed looking at his friend but the young chimp shook his head "Spending day with River promise to take him hunting, also need to speak to my mother about a few things but if you want to teach apes to speak better why not teach more than just two?"
Angel thought about it for a while while she guessed there'd be no harm in having more than one or two but for now two would be more than enough
"You think others would want too?" Angel asked thinking maybe this is just what she needed to get her mind off things Blue Eyes and Ash both nodded
"Can speak with father maybe he can help" Blue Eyes said Angel smiled Blue Eyes for the first time in a long while smiled back but the underline thought was still there Blue Eyes did not want Comet to be alone with Angel. And who knows maybe it'd bring himself along with other apes that bit closer to his Angel and that could only be a good thing surly his father would have to agree this would be a good idea.
*Later that night*
Rocket, Caser, and Koba had returned to the village to see supper was well underway Blue Eyes still upset with his father moved away from him when he came to sit by River and Angel casting an eye down he saw Bright Eyes with her own dinner
"Father, Blue Eyes say he take me hunting tomorrow can I go?" River looked to his father with big hopeful eyes causing his father to smile warmly at his youngest son turning to Blue Eyes Caser simply signed
"Be careful….both of you and remember to think before you act" Blue Eyes rolled his eyes as he ran his hand over his chest but nodded back to his father Cornelia signed to Caser
"Why Blue Eyes upset?" Caser sighed but signed back "We talk about it later let's eat" Eyeing him Cornelia settled down to have supper but she wasn't going to let her mate off so easy but that would be a talk for later that night.
