Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, I do not have any rights to Harry Potter and I do not make any money from writing these fics.
A/N: I know I got a lot on my plate but I promise I'll complete all of my fics plus this looks fun...So I wrote this for the 'Journey Through Hogwarts' Challenge on the HPF Forum. I'll be putting everything for this challenge together as a collection if possible. Also written for the One million words added comp, and the Procrastinators untied comp and the If You Dare Continued Challenge.
Prompt: If you were raised by muggles than write a drabble between 100 and 500 words about someone doubting someone/thing. Swiss Back Accounts.
Insane Uncle Vernon
Harry silently sat in the back of the car with confusion clearly showing on his face. Normally he would be scared that one of his relatives would yell at him or hit him through at the moment that was the very last thing on his mind. Besides, both his aunt and cousin wore identical expressions on their faces that Harry had.
"Stupid freaks, it is all those stupid Swiss Back Accounts that I agreed to because I thought it would be a good investment! A good way of saving money for Dudley's college education!" Vernon muttered to himself as he drove, an insane glint appeared on his face. "I bet that they are tracking us through them! Or they are tracking us through our breathing patterns!"
"Daddy has gone insane!" Dudley said fearfully as he shot his father a doubting look. "If he really has gone insane can I have all of his-"
"Do not worry Duddie-kins, your father has not gone insane...he is just taking us on a wonderful adventure," Petunia answered as she too shot Vernon a doubting look as if to say that she did not believe her own words. "I am sure that in no time at all your father will be back to normal and we will arrive at an amazing holiday spot!"
'I doubt that uncle Vernon was ever totally sane with how he kept going on about freaks and magic' Harry thought as he remembered how he had come across Vernon trying to nail a slice of fruit cake to the letter box just the other day. 'Those letters from whoever is sending them was just the last little push that Uncle Vernon needed to push him over the edge.'
End of Prompt.
