Uhm... Heyyyyy
Been like... a LONG time since I've posted anything. Actually, I may not have posted anything if my buddy didn't remind me that the story still needed an ending, and that I owe the readers an ending.
Sooooooo yep. Here it is. The last thing I'll be writing for a long time. Well, story wise.
Uhh, Iunno if you guys wanna like... hear what I've been up to. If not, then just like, skip to the story. If ya do... then skip to the story.
Im joking.
Anyways, I joined the military. Got sworn in a month or so ago, and my ship date my BT is in January. Wait, haven't said what branch yet. Its the marines. Uhm... if you wanna hear the whole story of why, then PM me and Ill tell ya.
Hmmm. I got a gal now. She's pretty swell so far, and I hope it stays that way. Oh and on top of that I have a little sister now. She's 8 months old and a slight butthead sometimes, but meh...
Hm... I just realized that my life is pretty boring lol. That's all that's going on in life for me.
So Il let ya'll read. Remember to R&R and enjoy!
It took some time, but id finally explained my cutie mark to Dash. It wasn't a hard explanation, its just trying to find the right words that screws me over so much.
And, as soon as I'd finished telling her, I saw some figures coming up the hill. As they got closer, I realized it was everypony I'd asked to come.
They all gathered around me, with generally the same look on their face. So, I started out by saying, "Hey. Thanks for coming guys, I really appreciate it."
They all nodded, "So what'd you wanna talk about?" Fortune asked.
"Well…" I racked my brain for any way to lightly step into this, and even looked at Dash to see if she had anything to say, but one look told me she didn't. "Okay. I only know one way to say this. So here it goes." I cleared my throat and looked at them all, "I know."
They all looked incredibly puzzled and confused, which was to be expected. "Know… what?" Shadow asked.
"That you proposed to Aurum." Everypony, excluding me, Dash, Aurum, and Shadow gasped.
A flurry of questions went their way, "You proposed?! When?!" "Why didn't you tell us?!" "Have you decided on the day?!"
I cut them all off, "Hold it!" they slowly turned towards me, "That's not all. They aren't the only ones who proposed." I looked at Night, "you did as well." Night looked incredibly shocked, as did everypony else. "And you, Fortune, you proposed to Applejack, and Crossback, you proposed to Fluttershy."
They were all gasping and cheering, but then Soul and Hottrot stepped in. "Wait wait wait. How do you know all of this?" Soul asked.
"Yeah, and how do you know that I didn't propose to Pink-" Hottrot stopped himself then shouted, "YOU ALL HEARD NOTHING!"
I laughed and smiled at them, "Because of my talent."
"Your… talent? Rarity questioned.
"Yep. Dash, care to explain?"
She looked confused for a moment, then shook her head, "I'll leave it to you."
I sighed, "Well to keep it short, I'm incredibly smart." I smiled, "Oh, and I saw the events of your proposals in my dreams."
They were all silent for a moment, then they started laughing. Louder. And louder. "Oh Blaze you can't expect us to believe that can you?" Rarity giggled, "I mean, not even the Princess has been able to do that."
I sighed, "Well, you may not believe me, but that doesn't change the fact that they did propose." They all stopped laughing, "What I want to know… is why you didn't tell anypony." I knew the reason, but they need to hear it from themselves.
Crossback was the first to respond, "I... I didn't want to interrupt anypony's happiness just because something amazing like this happened in my life."
They all seemed to agree with him and accept this as their answer. "Well," I began, "I shouldn't have to tell you all this; but our happiness. Is everyone's happiness. It should be equally shared between all of us." Again, they all seemed to agree with me, the thought of it bringing a smile to each of their faces. "Now we all know what needs to happen right?" They all nodded.
"All righty. Then we'll all have our weddings together, on the same day, and the same time. And to keep it fair, let's draw straws to see who walks down the aisle first."
"Agreed." they all nodded at about the same time.
"Good. Now, before we go get everything ready, I have something else to tell you all. Something that will hurt me... very much to say."
They all looked at me rather confused, and I could feel the pain in my heart. I could feel my breathing getting heavy, and the tears beginning to well up in my eyes.
I took a moment to compose myself, then continued, "This life... everything that I've been through with all of you, has been the best thing to ever happen to me. Nothing will make me happier than to stay here with all of you and continue to live on like usual." I wiped the tears off my face and continued, "But I have to go."
They all looked beyond confused, I could see that a few even thought I was being over dramatic for nothing. "Blaze what's gotten into you?" Rarity asked me, with a concerned look on her face.
"All of this... its just one big dream. A world that I created in my head, because of how dull reality was."
Dash got closer to me and put her hoof on my face, "This isn't a dream Blaze... everything you see is real. Even things that you can't see." She put her hoof on her heart, "Like the love I feel for you."
I nuzzled into her hoof a little, then removed it from my face, "And the love I feel for you is real as well. But that doesn't change the fact that I created this world in my dreams."
"Wait wait Blaze. How can you be sure this is a dream?" Shadow asked.
I hadn't thought of a way to prove my claim, so I decided to just do something simple. I focused on my head, my forehead to be precise, and imagined myself with a unicorn horn. Then put it in play. They all let and shocked gasps and a few even began to back away slowly, so I erased my horn from existence.
"You believe me now?" I asked. They gave no response, only stares. "This is my ideal world. The only reason it even exists I because of when I first saw the sho-" I cut myself off, "Anyways. Its time I go back to reality." I smiled at them all, "Thank you everypony... without all of you, Id still be just lazily passing through the world with no true end goal and no drive in life. I got to feel, for the first time in forever..." I walked towards Dash and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "True love. And I now know what it means to live for somepony else's sake, and not just my own."
Tears began to slowly stream down Dash's face. "Please Blaze... Don't leave me alone." she cried hoarsly.
I placed my forehead on her's and mumbled softly, "You'll never be alone Rainbow Dash. I'll always be with you... and you'll always be with me."
I took my head off of her's and walked away. Away from them all. Then made a door appear.
I put my hoof on the door, ready to push it open. I knew I shouldn't look back... but I did. And the state that I saw Rainbow Dash in almost made me break down in tears.
I wanted to take back everything I said. I just wanted to go back to the way things used to be. Before I told them all of this. Before I hurt her like this. But I couldn't. I had to go. I had to stop living in a dream, and open my eyes to reality.
So, with a deep breath, I turned back towards the door and opened it, allowing the bright white light to flow over me and engulf my body.
And I went through.
…
I slowly opened my eyes, allowing them to adjust to the calmly lit white room. A soft beeping keeping pace with my heart echoed throughout the room.
I moved my head towards the sound, and saw a heart monitor, along with an I.V. that ran from a clear bag into my arm.
I continued to survey the room, finding nothing but a window with a small flower pot.
"Why... am I in the hospital?" I choked out weakly. I put a hand to my head and felt a cloth, most likely a bandage, on my forehead. "Where did...?" I asked myself. "Did I... hit my head?" The more I thought about it... the more ideas I started to come up with.
Maybe I got this when I was in Canterlot and slammed my head into the ground? Or what if it was when I was fighting Slipstream? "No... those were dreams... just events I made up."
Then I remembered. Before I left my house. Before all of this started. "The vortex... was it real? Did I just create it in my mind...? and when I fell into it... did I just hit my head?"
I decided to think about it another time, I closed my eyes and just let myself rest.
"Blaze... don't leave me." I heard echo in my head.
My eyes shoot open, thinking Ill see her again.
...But I don't.
Then it happens.
All the emotions I've been keeping bottled up. All the sadness. All the tears. Everything...
I just let go.
Tears are streaming down my face, my breathing starts getting heavy, and my crying starts getting loud.
I turn over and start crying into my pillow, "Please..." I begged. "Please let me go back... I need her!" I scream into my pillow. "Its not fair..."
And that's it. That's the end of the Trilogy.
It really sucks. I lost my drive to write, that's why I didn't continue the story.
Oh well... at least there's an ending, even if it isn't as good as I thought that it'd be.
Thanks for sticking with me all this time guys. Sorry it took so long to come back and finish... but I'm glad I did.
Alright guys. Take care.
