I was still very excited about going on the trip to meet Happy Days. We were chatting about it at the meeting.

"Kayla was very excited about the news as a surprise wish," said Kaylee.

"That's good," said Stacey.

Later, at home, I was getting prepared for the trip even though it's not another two weeks. Claudia was going to design shirts with the Happy Days characters on them. The others and I liked the idea. We could use that when we leave for the trip and to come back from there.

The next day at school, Cokie, overheard us about the trip, and came to us and said, "I won the trip, too."

"You did?" asked Claudia.

"Yes," replied Cokie.

"Was the plane ticket included?" I asked.

"Yes," replied Cokie.

"Not many can win. Only seven can win, not eight," I said.

"Unless there's a tie," said Cokie.

"I never heard of that," I said.

"Me, either. That wasn't in the magazine where I read the contest form," added Mary Anne.

We think Cokie might be lying to us because she never wins anything. She's the jealous type. After school, Mary Anne and I are talking about having a surprise birthday party.

"We'd have to tell the group without the Willis girls knowing it," said Mary Anne.

"I agree," I said.

We came up with a plan on how to do it that way.

"I think they'll love that part," I said.

"Me, too," said Mary Anne.

We have been best friends since we were little. We used to be neighbors until my mother and her dad got remarried. Our houses were too small for our stepsiblings to be together especially during home visits. When Sharon got divorced, she moved here with Dawn and Jeff, who didn't adjust here and went back to California to live with his father. Mary Anne and Dawn discovered their parents were high school sweethearts, but got broken up by Sharon's parents. But they got back together and are happily married.
