Chapter 9- So MaNy LiEs

{Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know:
That everything you do,
Is super fucking cute
And I can't stand it}

Lucy blinked constantly as her mind began to get clouded and, without noticing, started leaning to the left. It wasn't that the pain was unbearable; it was just all the blood. It was fine if it was in the movies, but when its real life, and it's more than just a little cut and it's her own blood, then the problem gets to her head.

"C-could we not go to the office?" She sputtered.

Natsu looked down at her with furrowed brows. "I don't think I should agree to that." He said with a small chuckle, seeing as how he was the only thing keeping her from falling flat on her face.

She looked at the ground with a blush and struggled to get her words out. "I just don't like the office ladies. They're mean."

Natsu peered down at her with a dazzling smile that had successfully melted her heart in seconds. "Okay, fine. But do you want to go to the bathroom or something to clean up?" She stayed quiet for a few seconds but eventually nodded.

"I-I'll just be a minute..." Lucy stammered then walked into the girls' bathroom, Natsu nodding in response. She walked deeper into the bathroom and let out a shaky breath, things were moving too fast! She needed Levy to help her say the right words!

Stopping at the mirrors, she grimaced at her reflection. Lines of blood trickled from the hand covering her nose and she almost began sobbing at the realization that Natsu had been seen her when she looked like that.

"Okay, let's do this." Taking away her hand, she gagged and crouched down so she could avoid the sight of her reflection. "Oh my God oh my God oh my God oh my God!" She repeated a generous amount of times. Squeezing her eyes shut and standing straight, she fumbled for the tap. Once she could finally grasp it, Lucy turned on the sink and began washing her face to rid of the red liquid that had stained her pale skin.

"I'm done." The blonde announced and walked out the bathroom.

Natsu walked away from the wall he had been leaning on and stood beside her. "You look better now." He grinned.

"I-um- thanks..." She blushed and looked away in embarrassment. It wasn't something as charming as 'You look beautiful' but she'd take whatever she could get.

"Do you want to go back? Because I understand if you don't really want to see Erza right now." Natsu offered and the two began to walk.

Lucy inwardly squealed that he was actually taking how she felt into consideration instead of just going anyway. He would be the best boyfriend ever.

"I'm fine," she shrugged, "I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose...I don't really hold grudges anyway so..."

"You're so nice Lucy." He grinned again and ruffled her hair affectionately. Even though Lucy was sure she would have to go into cardiac arrest any second now and the friendly gesture, or as Lucy saw it: a romantic filled act of love, she couldn't help but feel bad. She lied to him. She did hold grudges. Hell, she still strongly disliked a little ginger boy who threw sand at her ten years ago.

'I'm a horrible person.' She cringed. Everyone knew about the rule in relationships that you can't lie to each other, and here she is, lying straight to his face before they were even officially a couple! How could she be such a horrible future wife?

As soon as the two were noticed, everyone fell silent.

'Do they hate me now since I got in the way of Erza and Lisanna's fight? Maybe I still have some blood on my face that? Maybe I'm just so naturally hideous that they mistook me for a donkey?'

Without any warning, Erza and Lisanna rushed over to her and pulled her into a bone crushing hug, swarming her with questions as they did so. Natsu glanced at the three girls before walking closer towards everyone else.

"Are you okay?"

"I am so sorry!"

"Please, please forgive us!"

"I hope that didn't hurt too badly!"

"I really didn't mean to do that!"

Amidst all the questions, Lucy found trouble finding the words she needed to reply. The most she could get out was a couple Um's and Uh's. This just wasn't right! She wasn't used to people apologizing to her, and popular people at that! Probably the two most popular girls in school!

"So are you okay?" Lisanna asked, her stunning eyes practically looking into Lucy's very soul.

"Uh, yeah, I'm, ah, fine..."

Erza sighed and hugged her, more affectionately than the other hug she had shared with Lisanna. The blonde instantly froze, having no idea what to do. Erza probably thought she was hugging a stick. "Thank God. I was so worried. I'm so sorry again, I wasn't thinking straight." The red head apologized.

"Yeah, we're both really so sorry. We didn't mean for any of that to happen."

"Can you guys hurry up so we can finish this stupid game?"

And just like that, the two beautiful girls were gone. Lucy stood frozen to the spot, her chest heaving as she took heaving breath.

"Here's the map." Gajeel grunted and shoved it into her hands before walking away.

"O-oh, okay..." Lucy mumbled and began to study the piece of paper.

.:After School:.

"THAT AMAZON BITCH DID WHAT? OHHH I'M GONNA FUCKING TEAR THAT BITCH LIMB FROM FUCKING LIMB. I WILL FUCKING FEED HER TO OWN STUPID SHITTY HAIR. HOW DARE SHE DO THAT TO YOU?! DID YOU BLEED!? WERE YOU BLEEDING!?" Levy roared, an amazingly loud voice somehow coming from her small body.

"Yes." Lucy nodded and continued to drink coke from a cute cup the McGarden's randomly had in their cupboards.

"THAT BITCH MADE YOU BLEED!? I WILL FUCKING MURDER THAT STUPID LITTLE CUNT! THE LITTLE FUCK WON'T SEE A FUCKING THING COMING!"

"You're acting way too violent."

"I SWEAR TO FUCKING JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, WHEN I SEE THAT RED HEADED, NO SOUL, LITTLE PRICK, I WILL PERSONALLY-"

"Do nothing," Lucy cut in, "you're over reacting, Levy."

"I DON'T OVER REACT LUCY. THIS IS NOT OVER REACTING! DID YOU AT LEAST PUNCH HER BACK!?"

"No! Of course not!"

"GOD LUCY! YOU'RE TOO GOODY TWO SHOES! YOU SHOULD'VE FUCKING SHOVED YOUR FOOT UP HER ASS."

"That's not natural."

"IT IS IF I WANT IT TO BE."

"But you'll never guess what happened!"

Levy seemed to calm down and picked up her own glass of coke. "What happened?"

"Well a teacher came and long story short Natsu had to take me to the office and he was really nice to me and he said I was a nice person and he said I looked good and he waited for me and he smiled at me so many times and it was just magical!"

"Oh that's good Lucy!" Levy smiled.

"But then, when we got back to everyone, Lisanna and Erza ran up to me and kept saying sorry and asking if I was okay and I felt so powerful!"

"Then did you shove your foot up Erza's ass?"

"No! And I never will!"

Levy huffed then pouted cutely. "You're no fun."

"Lucy, dear, your fathers here." Levy's mother came into the bedroom and Lucy nodded with a smile.

"See ya' Levy." She said and picked up her school bag. "Bye!" She waved to the older bluenette and walked out the house.

"How was school, Lucy?" Jude asked once Lucy was seated in the car.

"Same as always." Lucy replied and fastened her seat belt.

"Are you sure? You're nose looks redder than usual."

His daughter gasped and her hands flew to cover her nose. "Really!?"

"Yes, really. Now what happened?"

"I uh just fell down the stairs."

The car swivelled for a few seconds before Jude could regain control again.

"You fell down the stairs!?" He shouted in shock.

"Not a full flight of stairs! Just like the last one or two, I tripped over my own two feet and just kinda face-planted."

He sighed and shook his head. "You have to be more careful Lucy."

"I know."

"Where's Plue?" Lucy asked once they arrived home.

"He'd be somewhere around the house." Jude answered and settled himself onto the couch.

"You said that last time and he went missing for a week!"

"But he did come back."

Lucy groaned and began to walk up the stairs to get changed. "You're meant to look after him when I'm at school!"

"I try Lucy, I really do, but he's just too sneaky, I can never catch him in the act."

Lucy sighed. "I'll go looking for him tomorrow." She grumbled and shut the doors, but she doubted that her father had heard her.

"Lucy, get the door will you?"

"Why can't you? You're closer!"

"I'm getting too old Lucy, I'm afraid I might fracture a bone."

"You're only forty-two!"

"Please Lucy?"

"Fiiiinnnnneee." She exaggerated and walked out of the kitchen and into the lounge room, sticking her tongue out at her father as she walked towards the door.

"Don't be so childish."

"It's not childish." She argued and opened the door.

"Oh, Lucy." Natsu grinned. "I was hoping I'd see you."

"N-Natsu! W-what are you doing here?!"

"I found this dog outside my house and thought it looked a lot like yours, is it?"

Lucy looked down to his chest, where he cradled a small, white puppy in his large hands. "Yeah, that's my dog..." She said awkwardly once she spotted the orange nose on the animal.

"Great, here." Natsu grinned and handed it to her, making Lucy almost scream out in joy as his hands touched her own. "Oh, do you jog?" He then asked, noticing she was wearing a grey sports bra and short, neon pink running shorts.

"Oh, um, yeah." She agreed. That was a lie. The only jogging she did was in school for H.P.E. She only bought them because they looked comfortable and it was the only way she could go down town half-naked while also looking socially acceptable. There she goes again, lying to her future husband, how much worse could she get?

"Really? We should go jogging together sometime." His suddenly lit up in joy. "I could really use the company."

Her heart began to race with every word he had said and she silently prayed that her cheeks weren't turning a bright pink to match her shorts like they usually do every time she looked at him. "That sounds great, I could use the company too." She said with a smile to rival his own.

"Awesome! Are you free tomorrow around five?"

"Uh, yeah."

"Great, I'll come by to get you."

"Sounds good!"

He laughed and began to walk away. "Then I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Luce!" He waved before jogging away.

"Who was that?" Jude asked, his eyes glancing up to look at her.

"Oh my God dad! Can I go jogging tomorrow!?"

"With Levy?"

"No, someone else."

"The boy who was just at the door?"

"Yes!"

"I don't know if I like the sound of that..."

"Please dad please, please, please! He's really nice, he goes to my school, he's in some of my classes and he even brought back Plue!" She squealed and held out the puppy. "Please! My life depends on it!"

Jude sighed and he looked back at the newspaper. "I suppose. But if anything happens-"

"I know I know! Thank you so much!" She said then ran up the stairs and into her bedroom. "I have got to call Levy!"
