In the back of her mind Lucy knew.
She knew that she was wide awake and no amount of squeezing her eyes shut would help her fall back asleep. So after a few more minutes and a lazy sigh, she opened her eyes.
It was an instant regret.
"Uhhh…" Came out her mouth at the realisation that this wasn't her clean and girly room and was instead a dirty and manly room. Loke's dirty and manly room to be exact. When her eyes landed on the packet of condoms that were just casually resting on his bedside table she screamed, jumped out of the bed and frantically searched her body for her clothes which were all, thankfully, still there.
"Finally you're awake." Loke said in an exaggerated manner when he walked back into his bedroom, an apple in his hand.
Lucy pointed at him with a stern look. "You!"
Loke opened his arms, "Ah yes, me."
"Did we…did, did we, you know?" The blonde couldn't help but get embarrassed as she tried to get the right words out.
"Have an incredible night of passion and lust as we explored each other's bodies? No."
Lucy huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, eyeing the man-whore warily. "So…we didn't have sex?"
"Of course not Lucy. Do you take me as a man who takes advantage of distressed women?" He placed a hand over his heart, a look of hurt displayed on his features, but his mood quickly changed and he winked flirtatiously at her. "I don't need to stoop to such levels to get a girl in my bed."
Choosing to ignore his previous words, Lucy sat on the edge of his bed. "Sorry. I've just heard a lot of really bad things about you…" When the words left her mouth, she thought of how bad that could sound and apologized again. "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way."
Loke shrugged. "Don't worry about it, I mean I've heard a lot of bad things about you too."
"Really?!"
The ginger laughed loudly. "Hah! No, I haven't heard anything about you; you were pretty much invisible until like a week or something ago!" His laughing died down after back tracking his words. "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way."
"Don't worry about it…" Lucy grumbled.
Loke sat down beside Lucy on the bed and turned his body slightly to face her. "So, you wanna talk about it?"
Lucy narrowed his eyes and scooched to the side, putting more space between the two. "Talk about what?"
Loke sighed dramatically, "Well what isn't there to talk about? There's the reason Lisanna's really angry about anything that has to do with you, or how Natsu always talks about you, or how Gajeel always talks about Levy, or why you were pushed into the pool." Lucy opened her mouth to comment on this, but Loke continued on. "Or we could talk about why Erza wants to punch both of you."
At the mention of Natsu, Lucy completely zoned out and went into full fan girl mode, images of their future wedding and children flashing through her mind. "Natsu talks about me?" She whispered mostly to herself and twirled a piece of air between her fingers.
"OH MY GOD!" Loke screeched and stood, his apple falling onto the ground.
"WHAT!?"
"YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON NATSU!"
Lucy gasped and blushed. "W-what!? No I don't! Why would you even think something like that!?"
Loke began pacing his bedroom, mumbling to himself. "How could I never see it? It was so obvious."
"No, no, no, stop talking! I don't have a crush on Natsu, that's absurd. "
"Suuuure." Loke smirked slyly at her.
Lucy shook her head. "You can believe whatever stupid things you want to believe, but I just really want to get home."
"Oh sure, my mum can drop you off." He said and dragged her down stairs. "Hey mum, this is Lucy, can she get a lift home?"
A gasp sounded from the kitchen and a woman with short, orange hair walked out. "Oh Loke, is this your girlfriend? Oh just wait 'til your father hears!"
Loke groaned. "She's not my girlfriend! I told you, I don't have girlfriends. Besides, she's got a thing for Natsu."
"Oh dear, you two weren't fornicating behind Natsu's back were you?"
"Ugh, mum, having a thing for Natsu doesn't mean they're dating!" Loke explained, ignoring Lucy's yell of 'I don't have a thing for him' in the background.
His mother let out a breath of relief. "That's good then. So where does she need a lift to?"
"306 Strawberry Street." Lucy answered.
"Of course dear, you two can head to the car and I'll be there after I find my keys."

After an angry rant from her father, Lucy found herself pacing in her bedroom, much like Loke had done earlier that day, and glaring at her mobile.
She had been messaging Levy since about half an hour ago. It had started out with apologies and eventually ended up as curses and rambles when Lucy got no reply.
She had so many things to talk about. There was the fact that she kissed someone's boyfriend (and was pushed into a pool because of it), the fact that Loke knows, and the fact that she was so, so, so sorry.
Wasn't there a thing in Girl Code about this? Like 'Thou shall not ignore thy bff'? Unless they had legitimate excuses. Like if they were suddenly parentless or something.
Since Levy wasn't reply most likely because she was still angry, Lucy had to do something.

Lucy banged on Levy's bedroom door with no restraint. "Levy, I'm coming in!" She stated and opened the door.
Again, there was instant regret.
"LUCY!"
"LEVY!"
"Fucking hell."
Lucy gasped and brought a hand to her open mouth. "You and Gajeel!? Again!? Oh my God you guys totally like each other!"
"Yeah, well, we're kinda dating now." Levy snapped and held the blanket tighter to her chest.
"O-oh. Okay. So I guess this is why you weren't answering my texts…" She shuffled on her feet and laughed. "That's awkward, haha…"
"What texts? Why are you even here? Better yet, what is Plue doing here!?" Levy asked, her voice increasing and volume.
Lucy glanced down to the shaking dog that was struggling against the leash. "Oh, well, papa said that if I was going for a walk I had to bring him and your mum said I could bring him up with me…" After her words Plue pulled harder against the leash and Lucy lost her grip. As soon as he was free, Plue dashed onto the bed, excited to see a new and old friend. "So, uh, I'll turn around and let you put on some clothes." Lucy announced and turned, closing her eyes in the process.
"Ack! Bunny Girl, control ya' mutt!" Gajeel growled as he was attacked with kisses from Plue.
"Okay, you can turn around now I guess." Levy mumbled. Lucy turned and stared at the oversized t-shirt that Levy was wearing, and that Lucy knew for sure didn't belong to her. "What's wrong Lucy? You look like a mess."
Lucy scoffed. "Oh really? I feel like it, and that's exactly what my life is right now! Like I had a fight with you, and I thought you hated me, and then my first kiss got taken away from me by some guy that was in a relationship so now a bunch of girls, including his girlfriend, most likely hate me and I don't even know their names! Lisanna hates me; Erza wants to hit me, or us, whatever. To top it all off, I know smell like a horny teenage boys bedroom because that's where I slept last night and he knows a huge secret and now you're in a relationship and I'm still alone and you're probably not going to have enough time for me because you're with him now!" She spluttered and briefly gave the pierced boy in her friend's bed a glare. The anger swiftly changed into despair and she sobbed. "I just really, really need a hug right now."
Levy stood, stunned from the sudden outburst of her blonde friend and found herself unable to move. The inability was stopped when Levy made action and ran into her Lucy's arm, the blonde crying onto her shoulder, letting out emotions that she had kept bottled up for a long time.
Gajeel coughed awkwardly in the background. "Uh, so, should I like go?"
This goes against my whole "not updating until I've updated all my stories but IT'S BEEN SO LONG AND I HADN'T EVEN NOTICED UNTIL SOMEONE PM'D ME AND I JUST HAD TO UPDATE OMFG.
