Dear Mama & Daddy, something's exciting happened. I get to dance for a band for Ralph, Potsie, and Richie! I can't wait to tell you all about it. They even invited Kayla and Kaylee to join. Love, Jessi.

"I heard you were a good dancer," said Ralph.

"Yes, I've been dancing since I was a little girl," I said.

"Would you like to dance for a band?" asked Ralph. "We're doing that tomorrow night."

"That would be great," I said.

I couldn't believe it! It would be for Potsie, Richie and Ralph's band. I'm so excited to get started! My friends were happy for me.

"That sounds amazing," said Mallory.

"I know," I agreed.

"Perhaps Kayla would like to join us if she wants to," added Richie.

"Really?" asked Kayla who came right in.

"Yea," said Potsie.

"Sure, I'll be delighted to join you to dance," said Kayla. "I used to be a dancer when I was younger, but the dance instructor died of a heart attack and the dancing studio shut down before I came to Stoneybrook."

"I never knew that," said Mary Anne.

"It's true. She was a great dancer," said Kaylee.

"Why don't you join me at my dancing school?" I asked

"Sure," said Kayla.

"Kaylee can join, too," said Ralph.

"Sweet. I'm in," said Kaylee.

Later, Kayla, Kaylee, and I kept practicing our dancing moves for an hour. Kaylee wasn't kidding when she said Kayla is a good dancer.

The next day, Kayla and Kaylee couldn't wait until tonight. I couldn't wait either for that matter. That's going to be very exciting. You should've seen her dancing moves during the songs. She was better than me! I did excellent, too, according to Kayla, which makes her a good friend.
