A/N I honestly don't know what to say...I know that most of you are probably not even reading this story anymore, but I finally had something inspire me to carry on with this fan-fic. I know it's probably too late now and none of you want to read this, but I am so sorry for not updating this story sooner - the muse just disappeared and before I knew it - almost a year had passed. I am so sorry. :(

Cruisin' For A Bruisin'. Chapter 6: Unconditionally.

Butchy felt a hand hold his, it hurt, but the biker didn't have the strength to move away. Bright, almost blinding, lights were above his head and glaring down into his brown orbs. Where was he? What was going on? Groaning slightly as he tried to move, Butchy felt someone hold him down. If he wasn't in so much pain, he would have snapped at the person to bugger off; how dare they touch the leader of the Rodent's?

However, the voice that filed his ears was one far too familiar and it almost made Butchy choke on his own breath.

"Butchy, don't move, you're gonna be fine, okay?" 'Tanner?' Butchy thought, struggling to remember what the surfer looked like. 'What the heck is that moronic, idiotic surfer doin' here?! Not that I know where here is, but still...'

"Tanner?" Butchy coughed out, his throat extremely swore. "Wh-e-re am I?"

"You're in the hospital, Butchy..." Tanner stroked the side of Butchy's face. "You were in an accident, but the Doctors are going to be looking over you again - you've been in a coma for a whole week! Everyone's been worried about you...I thought I lost you, Butch..."

Though Butchy couldn't open his eyes out of fear of being blinded by that light shining down on him, he felt the familiar sting of tears. The whole reason he got into this mess was because of crying. Butchy held tighter onto Tanner's hand as the memory of the crash came flooding back and the tears began to roll down his cheeks. He couldn't remember much about it, but the pain and the reason he had cried in the first place hit him like a ton of bricks.

Tanner. His parents. The crash. His bike!

"Is my bike okay?" Butchy asked quietly, turning his head to the side in attempt to open his eyes.

A light laugh escaped Tanner's throat, even without seeing him, Butchy could tell the blonde was giving his well-known smirk that everyone in Wet Side knew. "I don't think she made it," Tanner said in a fake sad tone. "We couldn't find her front wheel...let alone the handle bars. Sorry about your lost, Butchy - we all mourned." He joked and Butchy made a poor attempt to slap him.

After a few moments, Butchy gently opened his eyes and everything was a blur. Blinking a couple of times, Butchy was met with the bright, worried eyes that belonged to Tanner. The surfer grinned happily once Butchy focused on him.

"Hey..." Tanner mumbled, tightening his hold on Butchy's hand.

"Hey beach-boy..." Butchy replied softly. "How long have I been out again?"

"A whole week," the surfer responded, passing the biker a glass of water and helping him drink it by holding it up to his mouth. "Lugnut almost punched me, he blamed the surfers for what happened to you. The people who were in the car was Seacat and Rascal - "

"Are they ok?!" Butchy shouted in shock, he hoped beyond hope that he hadn't hurt them. Butchy maybe the type of person who seemed like he was mean and cruel, but he would never purposely hurt someone - heck - not he wouldn't even hurt Tanner...much.

"Their fine, they were able to get out of the car wreck and saw you - me and Brady were looking for you and we sort of met up half way. Once we found you, we called the ambulance and then came here to the hospital. Lela had rung up the rest of the Rondet's and Lugnut came and almost knocked down everyone in his sight, including me - but Lela told him to go and then come back when he was calmer. But since then, everyone's came in and made sure you were okay..."

Butchy lifted himself up a bit, having help from Tanner. "...Thank you, surfer..." Butchy gave a half-smile, not realising that Tanner's hand was resting on his thigh. "Is Lela alright?"

"Yeah, ever since she came to the hospital her and Mack have been together."

"Mack? Mack, who? Is he a biker? I told Lela she wasn't allowed to date another biker, they're too dangerous! "

"Butchy, Mack is a girl. And she's nice, I think she loves Lela and Lela loves her...I think." The goofy blonde looked puzzled for a minute before turning back to Butchy as the rodent leader let out a soft 'oh'. "They make a cute couple."

"..." Butchy never spoke, his brown, honey like eyes were too busy looking at Tanner's lips that seemed to be getting closer and closer to his...until finally their lips met. The kiss was sweet, and it had to be the best kiss Butchy had ever shared with someone, but something was off. Turning his head to the side, Butchy broke the kiss. It seemed too forced, too...un-Tannerish...

The blonde headed surfer tried to kiss the brown haired beauty again, but Butchy made sure he couldn't. The frown that replaced Tanner's normal cheerful smile almost made Butchy wish he could fall back into a coma.

"...Tanner...I'm sorry - "

Before Butchy could continue, Tanner cut him off. "I'm sorry Butchy, I shouldn't have done that, it was a mistake..." He trailed off sadly. "I'll go get that Doctor to come check on you again..." With that said, Tanner stood and left the room, leaving a wide-eyed Butchy behind.

"...Stupid surfer..."

Cheers for reading and I'm sorry about all the mistakes in this piece of work. :(
