The second gym battle of the day hadn't started yet but that wasn't something that was on Christie's mind, she was back at the Pokémon center where her newly won Boulder Badge was being sown into the inside of her hoodie by Nurse Joy whilst Nurse Joy's Chansay was tending to Evee, Houndour and Combusken.

"You must be feeling pretty excited." Nurse Joy commented to Christie as she finished sowing the badge into the inside of her hoody. "Winning your first badge is usually an exciting time for a young trainer."

"Yeah well, I'm just glad that I can relax whilst my friends fight for their badges." Christie responded as she shifted her weight, she wasn't wearing any tops besides her bra when she was challenging the gym but since she realized that she had to wear the hoody open to show off her badges she had ran up to the room to get changed into a black, midriff exposing tank top so that she wouldn't have to walk around with barely anything covering her chest. "You have any news on my Pokémon?" Christie asked as she took the hoody from Nurse Joy and put it on leaving it opened rather than zipping it up.

"I'll check." Nurse Joy responded and Christie nodded. "Feel free to have a walk around in the meantime." Nurse Joy added and Christie nodded before leaving the center.

"I could go back to the Pewter Gym but I'd rather wait for my Pokémon to be healed first." Christie thought as she took a seat on a bench outside the Pokémon Center. "Besides, they can look after themselves they don't need me to be there for every battle." Christie thought before two figures approaching the Pewter Gym caught her eye, she would later know them as Cassidy and Butch, two Team Rocket members who would harass her and her friends during their journeys but right now she didn't know them. "Something about those two rubs me the wrong way." Christie thought as she watched them approach the gym. "Meh, they're probably just two more challengers for the Pewter City Gym, then again I could be wrong."

"Christie, your Pokémon are healed." Nurse Joy's voice rang out and she looked up seeing the nurse handing her three Pokémon over.

"Thanks." Christie thanked her before taking the Pokeballs and attaching two of them to her belt and letting Combusken out. "Sorry Combusken, I know you hate Pokeballs but you don't exactly fit in my backpack anymore." Christie apologized to him and Combusken nodded. "You want to go see how the others are doing?" Christie asked before realizing that Combusken was glaring at Cassidy and Butch. "Is something wrong?" Christie asked before quickly calling back Combusken when it became clear that it was going to attack them. "There are a few things I don't need this early in my Pokémon journey and my Pokémon attacking other trainers is one of them." Christie thought before standing up and walking back to the gym.

*meanwhile*

"All right, my Pokémon are ready for round two." Tristan commented as Dalton stepped forward with a grin. "And I see that Dalton is my challenger this time."

"That's right!" Dalton responded with a grin. "Same rules as Christie's match?"

"Yes, we'll use the same rules as that match and for the other matches." Rachel nodded in response and the others nodded. "Speaking of Christie, you'd think she'd be back by now."

"Her Pokémon did take a beating so she's probably having Nurse Joy heal them up." Tristan responded and Rachel nodded in response not noticing the door to the gym opening up behind the other trainers. "Do you want to wait for her to return or should we get started?"

"No need for that." Christie said as she pushed through to the front of the crowd. "I would've arrived sooner but I had to find a top to wear under my hoodie and have Nurse Joy heal up my Pokémon."

"You didn't think to put a top on under your hoody to begin with?" Steve asked her and Christie shook her head.

"Well, I didn't think I'd need to wear it open today." Christie responded and Steve grinned at her. "And no, I wasn't prepared to walk around Pewter City with my hoody open and nothing but my bra underneath!"

"I would've have minded." Dalton and Steve said simultaneously and Christie sweat-dropped.

"Off course you wouldn't." Christie sighed to herself before shaking her head. "Did I miss anything whilst I was out?"

"No, we were just about to get started actually." Rachel responded and Tristan and Dalton nodded. "This will be a three on three match between the challenger Dalton Kramer from Viridian City and the gym leader Tristan and only the challenger can make substitutions, are we clear?" Rachel asked and they nodded. "Then begin!"

*meanwhile*

"Damn it, that girl just came back from the Pokémon center!" Butch realized when he saw Christy go into the Pewter City Gym. "We should've attacked her when we had the chance."

"Relax Rusty, it's not like she has any decent Pokémon." Cassidy responded and Butch face-faulted.

"My name is Butch not Rusty!" Butch snapped at her as he got back to his feet but was ignored. "Anyway even if she lacks any decent Pokémon she'll be a major spanner in the works when we do attack the gym because her Pokémon are fully healed!"

"There low level Pokémon at best! She'll pose no threat to us, for now let's wait to see what happens." Cassidy responded and Butch nodded reluctantly.

*back inside the gym*

"Go Geodude!" Tristan called out and the Geodude appeared on the arena again having recovered from its fight against Christie's Evee.

"Kicking off with him huh? Don't worry I know how to handle it! Go Pikachu!" Dalton called out and Pikachu emerged from the Pokeball minutes later, it quickly spotted both Rachel and Christie but seemed conflicted about which one to go after. "Pikachu, no, if you go after Christie she'll be even angrier at me!" Dalton warned him before Rachel cleared her throat. "And if you go after her…." Dalton added as he pointed to Rachel. "We'll be disqualified kicked out of the gym and blacklisted from the Pokémon League meaning all my training and waiting to start my journey will be for nothing! The same goes for any gyms with female leaders!" Dalton added and the Pikachu quickly backed down.

"Well, that's one way to stop Pikachu from trying that with the female gym leaders." Christie commented as a sweat-drop rolled down her head. "Think it'll work?"

"I know you're behind us and can't get a good look at the field….." Steve added as he stepped aside to let Christie get a better view of the field. "But trust me the look on Pikachu's face said it all! He knows his trainer was 100% serious."

"I hope he does, otherwise I'd have to tell mom that I waited eight years to start my Pokémon Journey only to get blacklisted after winning my first badge because Dalton's Pikachu has no self-control around anything with breasts and a vagina." Christie responded with a deadpan expression on her face and Steve barely contained his laughter at her sentence.

"Trust me Christie trainers have been blacklisted for stranger things." Rachel responded with a sigh and before Christie could ask she rose her arms up. "Begin!"

"Geodude, Rock Throw now!" Tristan commanded and the Pokémon started throwing rocks at Pikachu.

"Dodge it and use Iron Tail!" Dalton commanded and as Pikachu's tail glowed a metallic silver color it weaved in and out of the rocks as they fell in his path.

"Trying Christie's little trick huh? It won't work this time! Geodude, Magnitude!" Tristan commanded and the rock Pokémon slammed its fists into the ground causing the entire arena to shake.

"Hang in there Pikachu!" Dalton called out as the Pikachu struggled to keep his balance.

"It won't be able to keep his balance for long!" Tristan responded with a smirk. "Don't forget, Electric Type Pokémon are extremely weak against Ground Type attacks."

"He's right but there has to be something that I can do!" Dalton thought before glancing up at the ceiling and getting an idea. "Pikachu, jump into the air!" Dalton called out and Pikachu nodded before leaping very high into the air. "Heh, I knew all the times you've leapt into a girl's breasts had to be good for something!"

"Don't even get me started on how wrong that sentence is." Christie responded as she shook her head and Dalton laughed nervously.

"Ordering Pikachu to jump to avoid Magnitude that's very clever, or it would be…." Tristan trailed off before folding his arms. "But last I checked Pikachu isn't a flying type Pokémon meaning it'll have to come down sooner or later!"

"That's the idea! Pikachu hit Geodude with Iron Tail on the way down!" Dalton called out and Pikachu's trail started glowing again before it spun its body around so that his tail was facing the ground.

"Geodude, Dynamic Punch!" Tristan called out and Geodude reared back his fist before launching it, the two attacks hit at the same time effectively knocking out both Pokémon.

"Geodude and Pikachu are out! The first Battle is a draw!" Rachel called out as the two trainers called back their Pokémon.

"I already know who I'm sending out." Tristan commented as he activated his Pokeball. "And it's not Steelix! Go Kabutops!" Tristan sent out the Pokeball and the large brown Pokémon emerged from it.

"A Rock/Water type, that's going to be tricky," Dalton commented as he activated a Pokeball, whilst that was going on Christie flipped open her Pokedex and pointed it at Kabutops.

"Kabutops, the Shellfish Pokémon, the evolved form of Kabuto, in the water, it tucks in its limbs to become more compact, then it wiggles its shell to swim fast." The Pokedex's entry rang out and Christie pocketed the Pokedex.

"Off course the one thing it doesn't mention is that it's a Fossil Pokémon but that's beside the point." Steve commented once Christie pocketed her Pokedex. "But on the other hand Dalton's right his best shot at taking out that Kabutops was just taken out by Tristan's Geodude."

"Don't worry guys! I got it covered! Go Ralts!" Dalton called out as he tossed the Pokeball and the small Psychic Type Pokémon emerged from it.

"Begin!" Rachel called out once both Pokémon where out of their Pokeballs and Dalton grinned.

"Kabutops, Water Gun!" Tristan commanded and the Pokémon fired a stream of Water at Ralts.

"Ralts, use Confusion!" Dalton called out and the Psychic Pokémon fired up its attack before letting lose, the two attacks hit a few seconds before each other but the two Pokémon stayed on their feet. "Ralts, use Magical Leaf!" Dalton called out and the Pokémon turned to him with a confused look on his face.

"Ralts doesn't learn that move until Level Twenty and by that time it's usually in its first evolved form." Tristan explained and Dalton bit his lip. "Not only that but Confusion is the only offensive move it learns until then."

"I really wish I had a Pokedex right now…" Dalton trailed off before turning to Christie. "Can I borrow your Pokedex?"

"What?" Christie asked and Dalton sighed.

"Call it an emergency." Dalton responded and Christie, once Tristan and Rachel gave her the go ahead, she handed over the Pokedex. "I'll give it back after the match." Dalton added and Christie nodded before she walked back, Dalton started looking up Ralts moveset whilst Tristan folded his arms.

"Kabutops, Water Gun!" Tristan called out and the Rock Type Pokémon fired a jet stream again.

"Ralts, use Double Team!" Dalton called out and multiple versions of Ralts suddenly appeared completely surrounding Kabutops, the Water Gun hit one of the Ralts but it wasn't the real one.

"That would almost do me in." Tristan responded as he folded his arms. "But it seems you've forgotten that you're dealing with a Gym Leader! Kabutops, Surf!"

"What's Surf?" Christie whispered to Steve as a massive wave of water was generated.

"Basically it's the move that lets a Pokémon like Kabutops travel over water and in battle it's an area move which basically means that it can hit multiple Pokémon at one." Steve explained and Christie nodded as the water neared Ralts.

"Now use Teleport!" Dalton called out and the Pokémon disappeared before the attack could hit, unfortunately some of the water splashed on Christie's top.

"Ugh, I just got changed into this top!" Christie groaned in annoyance as she looked at her tanktop. "Why do I always seem to get wet around….and I'm not even going to finish that sentence." Christie added as she blushed like a madwoman and Steve and Ann giggled.

"Nice save." Tristan chuckled before turning to Rachel and then to Dalton. "See if you can find her a change of clothes before she catches a cold, as for you Dalton, so you made your Pokémon disappear, it'll have to return eventually." Tristan added as Rachel disappeared into the backroom.

"You have women's clothing back there?" Christie asked and Tristan nodded.

"Given the nature of Pokémon Battles I like to be prepared for anything." Tristan responded and Christie paused for a moment.

"That actually makes sense." Christie admitted before Rachel called her over to the backroom so that she could get changed in privacy. "Just once I'd like a day to go by without something bad happening to me!" Christie sighed in annoyance as she followed Rachel into the backroom.

"Who said I was done? Ralts, Confusion!" Dalton called out and multiple Confusions came out from all directions each hitting Kabutops and doing a bit of damage.

"Kabutops, try to sense the real Ralts!" Kabutops called out and the Pokémon closed his eyes.

"Will the real Ralts please stand up?" Steve called out with a grin and the others just stared at him with massive sweat-drops rolling down their heads, even Kabutops. "I'm shutting up now!"

"USE WATER GUN OVER THERE!" Tristan called out suddenly and the Kabutops fired another Water Gun in a seemingly random direction and at the same time the Confusion attack launched towards Kabutops, the two attacks hit at the same time exposing the real Ralts in the process, both Pokémon hit the ground and by the time the two women returned with Christie wearing a fresh red crop-top Ralts got back to its feet whilst Kabutops stayed down.

"Kabutops is out! Ralts wins!" Rachel announced as Christie returned to the others and Tristan recalled Kabutops. "Oh and Christie, we'll need that top back."

"I figured as much." Christie responded as she turned to them.

"Don't worry, just wait for me at the Pokémon center and I'll bring your top to you when it's dry." Tristan added and Christie nodded. ""Your Ralts is in bad shape Dalton you might want to swap it out for another Pokémon."

"She still has enough energy to fight." Dalton responded and Ralts nodded in response. "We're ready for your Rhyhorn!"

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Tristan responded as he activated the Pokeball. "Rhyhorn, go!" Tristan called out and the Rhyhorn emerged from the Pokeball.

"Begin!" Rachel called out and the two trainers grinned.

"Rhyhorn, Rollout!" Tristan called out and for the third time today the Pokémon rolled into a ball before charging at Ralts.

"Ralts, use Double Team!" Dalton called out and the Pokémon split into several different forms of it, the Rhyhorn hit one but it ended up being the wrong one. "Now, use Confusion again!"

"Do you really think that trick will work again?" Tristan asked and Dalton grinned confidently.

"It worked the first time didn't it?" Dalton asked and Tristan shook his head.

"Rhyhorn, dodge the Confusions and attack all of them!" Tristan called out and to the surprise of everyone else Rhyhorn did just that, all the Confusions missed by a mile as each one was eliminated one by one before Rhyhorn eventually hit the real Ralts knocking it out.

"Ralts is out! Rhyhorn wins!" Rachel announced as Dalton called back Ralts.

"So what does he have left?" Christie asked and Steve thought for a moment.

"Butterfree knows Confusion as well but I think Tristan will see it coming." Steve answered with a frown. "Other than that the only other choice is….."

"I chose you Mankey!" Dalton called out before getting Mankey's cage out.

"You keep your Mankey in a cage?" Tristan asked with a raised eyebrow and Dalton nodded.

"My Mankey shares one thing in common with Christie's Combusken, it hates being in a Pokeball." Dalton explained as he let Mankey out of the cage and once Mankey realized where it was it stormed onto the field. "He also has a short temper hence the cage."

"I can see that." Tristan nodded before turning to Rachel. "I'll allow it we do occasionally get trainers who let their Pokémon walk with them."

"I agree!" Rachel nodded before glancing between the two Pokémon, Rhyhorn was glaring at Mankey who was throwing some shadow punches to get warmed up. "Begin!"

"Rhyhorn, Take Down!" Tristan called out and the Rhyhorn charged into battle.

"Mankey, Power-Up Punch!" Dalton commanded and Mankey charged into battle as well, Rhyhorn hit its attack first but Mankey managed to hit the attack before being forced back sending both Pokémon skidding backwards. "Mankey, use another Power-Up Punch!" Dalton commanded and Mankey charged into battle again.

"Dodge and use Rollout!" Tristan called out and the Rhyhorn leaped out of the way in time before rolling into a ball and charging at Mankey.

"Dodge it!" Dalton called out and the Mankey dodged to the side, however the Rhyhorn rebounded and slammed into the Mankey's back knocking it down. "Mankey, no, get up!" Dalton called out as Tristan, Rachel and the other trainers watched intently, just as Rachel was about to call the match Mankey got back to his feet. "Can you still fight?" Dalton asked and Mankey nodded.

"Not for long, Rollout!" Tristan called out and the Rhyhorn charged at Mankey again.

"Mankey, leap over it!" Dalton commanded and the Mankey jumped in the nick of time causing the Rhyhorn to crash into some rocks. "Now, Power-Up Punch before he can recover!" Dalton added once Mankey was back on the ground and Mankey span around before hitting Rhyhorn with another Power-Up Punch knocking it out.

"Rhyhorn is out, Mankey wins! The winner of the Gym Battle is the challenger Dalton from Viridian City!" Rachel announced and Dalton grinned as Mankey got into its cage and Tristan called back the Rhyhorn before handing Rachel the Pokeballs for healing.

"Congratulations Dalton." Tristan congratulated him before handing over the Boulder Badge which Dalton took. "So who's next?"

"I am." Ann said with a confident grin before stepping forward. "I'm Ann Bishop from Lumiose City!"

"Ah, that's in Kalos isn't it?" Tristan asked and they nodded. "I suppose you competed in that region's Pokémon League?"

"We did, Steve ended up eliminating me in the first match and he made it into the Top 32." Ann responded as she folded her arms.

"Well then, I'd better give you some good competition." Tristan responded as Dalton left for the Pokémon center. "Rachel, get the Pokémon that I save for trainers who have competed in the Pokémon league before."

"I will do Tristan." Rachel replied before she went into the backroom.
