The match between Steve and Tristan hadn't started yet but that wasn't stopping Ann from looking through the backpacks the store had to offer before she returned to the gym to watch her brother's battle, pretty much the only thing that was holding her up from returning to the gym was the fact that there was a large queue to the checkout filled with mostly older trainers as her Alakazam, Greninja and Froslass had all been given a clean bill of health.

"Man, at this rate the others will have qualified for the Pokémon league by the time I've brought my new backpack!" Ann thought with a pout as she waited for the male trainer in front of her to pay for his new backpack. "At least I have a big enough backpack for my stuff plus my badge case."

"Have a nice day." The female clerk told the trainer who grinned before slinging his new backpack over his shoulder and leaving the store. "Next please!" The clerk added and Ann walked up to the desk. "Oh, have you just started your journey?"

"Please, I competed in the Kalos League before I came here with my brother." Ann responded as she rolled her eyes and handed over her new backpack. "This place seems pretty busy."

"It's that wild Pokémon that's been breaking into campsites." The clerk responded as she rung up the till. "We do repair backpacks here but more often than not the backpacks have been ruined beyond repair."

"That's too bad." Ann sighed in response as she handed over some of her prize money from the gym battle. "Especially since it's probably just hungry and doesn't mean any harm."

"Hungry or not that Pokémon's a menace!" The trainer behind her responded and Ann turned around seeing an attractive female trainer around Christie's age and height with waist length black hair and blue eyes who was wearing a black trench coat over a red crop top, blue jeans and black boots.

"Where have I seen that trainer before? Could've sworn I saw her back at the Kalos League?" Ann thought with a frown as the older trainer folded her arms under her rather big breasts.

"And the cops aren't doing a damn thing about it!" The trainer added and the female clerk shook her head in response.

"Karen, that's not fair and you know it!" The clerk responded and the trainer, now known as Karen, looked up before rolling her eyes. "The police are busy enough as it is!"

"Oh really, you call that not fair? Do you know that the Pokémon's spread its hunting ground to Viridian Forrest?" Karen asked as her eyes narrowed. "I haven't even got my first badge yet and I have to spend my prize money on this damn backpack! If the police are too lazy to do anything about it then I'm taking matters into my own hands as soon as I get my first badge!" Karen added and the other trainers behind her cheered in agreement.

"Err, here's your backpack, that'll be five dollars please!" The clerk told Ann who paid for the backpack and slung it over her shoulder. "Have a nice day." The clerk told Ann who grinned before leaving quickly.

"Man, what's her problem?" Ann thought as she glanced over at Karen before noticing something, as her prize money wasn't much she had gotten one of the cheaper, larger ones but Karen on the other hand was able to afford one of the larger, more expensive backpacks. "She must be a talented trainer if she was able to afford that." Ann thought as she kept walking towards the exit whilst not paying attention until she bumped into someone. "Sorry, I was distracted!" Ann apologized before looking up and seeing Officer Jenny.

"No problem, by the way have you seen this woman?" Officer Jenny asked before showing Ann a sketch, whilst it was crude it didn't take Ann long to recognize the woman in the pic.

"That's Christie! Why is Officer Jenny looking for her?" Ann thought as she looked at the picture. "Why are you looking for her?"

"A trainer reported that she stole his Houndour and we're trying to gather leads." Officer Jenny responded and Ann frowned.

"Can we talk outside? I know that trainer and if the other trainers who I think he is he's not trustworthy." Ann responded and Jenny nodded in response before leading her outside.

*meanwhile*

"Ann's taking a while isn't she?" Steve wondered out loud as he glanced towards the gym's entrance. "She's taking even longer than Dalton and Christie!"

"The wild Pokémon has been destroying backpacks whilst it raided campsites so if I had to guess the backpack shop is pretty busy." Tristan responded as he shook his head. "Now as I explained before, I'll be using my Rhyperior, Nidoqueen and Skarmory against you like I did against Ann, any questions?"

"Yeah, do you have more than four badges here? I'm asking because you're going to need those badges after this battle!" Steve responded with a cocky grin as he reached for the Pokeball. "You see, I'm leaving here with my first badge in the Kanto Region and you had better stock up for the other potential challengers!"

"You don't need to worry about them I always keep a large amount of Boulder Badges." Tristan responded as he grabbed his own Pokeball. "Whether or not you leave this city with your Boulder Badge remains to be seen."

"Kick his ass Steve!" Christie shouted out in encouragement and Steve gave her thumbs up in response.

"Begin!" Rachel commanded and the two trainers grinned.

"Rhyperior, go!" Tristan tossed the Pokeball and the massive Pokémon returned to the field again ready for battle. "He won't go down as easily as he did against Ann's Alakazam!"

"We'll see about that!" Steve responded as he activated a Pokeball. "Litleo, go!" Steve tossed the Pokeball and to everyone's surprise the much smaller Lion Cub Pokémon emerged from the Pokeball.

"Litleo, you're seriously starting with him Steve? You're making my decision to send Eevee out first seem smart!" Christie pointed out and Steve gave her a reassuring look.

"Didn't you win that match?" Steve pointed out and Christie shook her head.

"Yeah, barely and it was against a Geodude! You're facing a Pokémon that fires those things!" Christie responded as she folded her arms and Steve shook his head.

"Yeah well, I'm still sticking to my choice!" Steve responded stubbornly as he folded his arms. "Litleo may be a Fire/Normal Type Pokémon but he's still pretty damn strong and he's beaten rock type Pokémon before!"

"Has he beaten something as big as Rhyperior?" Tristan asked and Steve hesitated for a moment.

"Err, no." Steve admitted as a large sweat-drop rolled down his head. "But there's a first time for everything!"

"There she is!" A familiar voice rang out and Steve and Christie's eyes narrowed when they recognized the voice. "She's the trainer that stole my Houndour!"

"WHAT?" Christie yelled out as she spun around seeing Officer Jenny and the male trainer standing behind her, Steve followed suit and Litleo growled at him. "Officer, you can't be taking his claims seriously, can you?"

"I take all claims of Pokémon theft seriously young lady." Officer Jenny responded and Christie pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "That is unless you have a reason for me to leave without dragging you off to the precinct."

"Yeah, she does." Steve responded before walking towards Jenny. "I and my sister were there at the time and he tried to solicit sex in exchange for winning a Pokémon Battle from Christie, after he lost he tried to force himself on her but got his ass roasted by his Houndour who subsequently defected to Christie's team." Steve explained and whilst the male trainer started sweating bullets as Officer Jenny turned to him.

"So you're the trainer who's been harassing female trainers in Viridian Forrest." Tristan said as he stepped forward. "I don't know about you Officer but I find his story very suspect to say the least."

"I agree." Jenny responded before slapping the cuffs on the male trainer. "You're under arrest for multiple cases of sexual harassment and solicitation, you have the right to remain silent, anything you do say….." Officer Jenny continued to read off the charges as she dragged him out of the gym and Christie sighed in relief.

"Thanks for having my back there." Christie thanked them as Officer Jenny left.

"Don't worry about it, that guy's a scumbag." Tristan responded as he shook his head. "His most successful targets where trainers with no self-esteem, I'm surprised it worked on you."

"I only agreed to it to get that idiot to leave me alone." Christie responded as she shook her head. "I didn't think he'd be stupid enough to go to the cops."

"Well, if anything it saves us the trouble of having to report the crime ourselves." Steve responded with a grin before turning to Tristan, as he was now back in his original position. "Okay, we've delayed this long enough and I'm pretty sure our Pokémon will fall asleep if we delay this any longer, can we get started?"

"Good point." Tristan nodded in response before turning to Rachel.

"Begin!" Rachel commanded and the two Pokémon get ready for battle.

"Litleo, use Quick Attack now!" Steve commanded and the Lion Cub Pokémon charged into battle at high speed.

"Stop that cat in her tracks with Rock Throw!" Tristan commanded and Rhyperior picked up a large rock before throwing it at Litleo…..

"Jump over it and use Echoed Voice!" Steve commanded and Litleo jumped up high before letting out a loud roar that knocked Rhyperior off balance. "Now use Dig!" Steve commanded and the Litleo changed direction towards the ground and started digging until it was underground.

"You are trying to use the ground against me?" Tristan asked as he folded his arms. "It won't work, Rhyperior use Earthquake!"

"Oh no, Earthquake will inflict double the damage since Litleo's in the first stage of Dig!" Steve thought as the whole arena shook from the shockwaves caused by Rhyperior. "I have to think of something and fast…." Steve's thoughts trailed off as the ground beneath Rhyperior shook for a good few minutes before Litleo emerged from it headbutting Rhyperior. "That's what I'm talking about! Litleo, use Hyper Beam at point blank range before Rhyperior can recover!" Steve commanded and the cub starting firing-up his beam.

"I won't give him the chance! Rhyperior, Rock Smash now!" Tristan commanded and Rhyperior charged into Litleo hitting him just as he fired the beam which still managed to connect with Rhyperior, when the dust settled it revealed that both Pokémon where knocked out.

"Litleo and Rhyperior are unable to battle! The first match is a draw!" Rachel announced and Steve sighed as he picked up Litleo's Pokeball.

"You did a great job Litleo, return." Steve complemented him before calling Litleo back to his Pokeball and Tristan did likewise with Rhyperior. "That didn't end the way I wanted it to but at least I was able to knock out one of your Pokémon right out of the gate!"

"Indeed, but we both still have two more Pokémon to go through!" Tristan nodded in agreement as he activated his Pokeball. "Nidoqueen, go!" Tristan tossed the Pokeball and for the second time that day Nidoqueen emerged from it.

"I had a feeling that she was up next!" Steve responded as he activated his Pokeball. "And like my sister I'm sending out a Water Type next!"

"Oh man! I missed the first battle!" Ann moaned as she entered the gym and the trainers turned around seeing the young trainer with Officer Jenny. "How did it go?"

"It was a tie between Tristan's Rhyperior and Steve's Litleo." Dalton responded and Ann shook her head at that. "Where were you? I was about to suggest that we go looking for you."

"I went to the backpack shop like I said." Ann responded as she showed off her new backpack. "And as I was leaving I bumped into Officer Jenny here as she was looking for Christie."

"If it's about a guy claiming that I stole his Houndour that's already been cleared up." Christie responded as she walked up to them. "That is unless this is about me giving a witness statement or something like that."

"I wasn't going to suggest that but that is a good idea." Officer Jenny nodded in response. "Ann already gave me her witness statement and I just need one from you and her brother."

"That would be me." Steve said as he waved to Officer Jenny. "And I'd love to but I'm kind of in the middle of a Pokémon battle right now."

"That's fine I can wait here if that's okay with the gym leader." Officer Jenny responded and once Tristan gave her a nod of approval she took a seat.

"Now, as I was saying…." Steve trailed off as he activated his Pokeball. "Starmie, I chose you!" Steve tossed the Pokeball and the star shaped Pokémon emerged from it. "Starmie may not be my strongest Pokémon but the fact that it has a type advantage here should help!"

"Begin!" Rachel commanded and the two trainers grinned.

"Nidoqueen, Thunder!" Tristan commanded and the Nidoqueen's horn started producing electricity before firing it at Starmie…..

"Dodge it and use Water Gun!" Steve called out and the Starmie leapt out of the way before firing a jet of water at Nidoqueen…..

"Nidoqueen, dodge it with Dig!" Tristan commanded and the Nidoqueen dug into the ground and was completely underground by the time the Water Gun would've make contact.

"My Starmie may not know Earthquake but he knows the next best thing! Starmie use Surf and direct it towards the hole!" Steve commanded and the Water Pokémon landed on the floor and generated a large tidal wave as it went into the hole flooding it. "Either Nidoqueen comes out soon or you'll be down by two Pokémon."

"Steve you just made it sound like his Pokémon is about to come out of the closet!" Christie chimed in and Steve sweat-dropped. "And that's yet another sentence I never thought I'd say once my Pokémon journey started!"

"You're going to use a lot more sentences like that as your journey continues trust me on that." Tristan responded as the ground beneath Starmie started to shake and before Steve could give a command Nidoqueen emerged from the ground knocking Starmie into the air. "And now's my chance! Nidoqueen, use Thunderbolt!" Tristan commanded and the Nidoqueen fired another bolt of lightning at Starmie and it connected.

"Starmie, no…." Steve trailed off as the Pokémon landed on the ground with a cracked gem in the middle indicating that it was knocked out.

"Starmie is out! Nidoqueen wins!" Rachel announced and Starmie was called back by Steve just as quickly. "Your down to your last Pokémon Steve, if I where you I'd choose carefully."

"Yeah, there's no pressure! I'm just down to my last Pokémon in my first Kanto Gym Battle and I've only defeated one of his Pokémon." Steve muttered under his breath as his eyes narrowed. "But I'm not about to let that stop me! My last Pokémon is another Kalos Native! Meowstic, I chose you!" Steve tossed the Pokeball and another cat like Pokémon emerged from it, this time however it was standing on two of his legs and was blue and white in color.

"Just when I thought I was done using this thing today." Christie sighed to herself as she pointed her Pokedex at the new Pokémon.

"Meowstic, the Constraint Pokémon and the evolved form of Espurr, the eyeball patterns on the interior of its ears emit psychic energy. It keeps the patterns tightly covered because that power is too immense." The Pokedex's entry read out and once it was done she pocketed the Pokedex.

"Is it safe to say that it's a Psychic Type Pokémon?" Christie asked and Steve nodded.

"Yeah he is and he's pretty much been a reserve Pokémon ever since I got him." Steve nodded in response as he turned to Tristan. "And right now I need all the help I can get! Delphox may be stronger but it's also a Fire Type so it'd be at a disadvantage here."

"You're still at a disadvantage because you're down to your last Pokémon." Tristan responded before nodding to Rachel.

"Begin!" Rachel commanded and the two trainers grinned.

"Nidoqueen, Rock Smash!" Tristan commanded and the Nidoqueen charged towards Meowstic at full speed…..

"Meowstic, use Teleport!" Steve commanded and the Pokémon disappeared before Nidoqueen could hit it.

"Do you really think that trick will work on my three times in a row?" Tristan asked and Steve shook his head in response.

"I never said anything about repeating my friends' tactics, Meowstic, reappear and use Power up Punch!" Steve commanded and the Meowstic returned to the field before charging into battle against Nidoqueen, before the Nidoqueen could respond the punch connected sending it stumbling back.

"Nidoqueen, Horn Drill!" Tristan commanded and the Nidoqueen charged in horn first.

"I'm not giving you the chance, Meowstic, Psyshock!" Steve commanded and the Meowstic's eyes glowed before firing several beams of energy at Nidoqueen and as the last beam it the Nidoqueen collapsed mid-charge knocked out.

"Nidoqueen is out! Meowstic wins!" Rachel announced as Tristan called back Nidoqueen and Meowstic jumped for joy.

"It seems we having a mirror of the last match between myself and Ann." Tristan commented as he activated his last Pokeball. "Skarmory, go!" Tristan announced as he tossed the Pokeball and Skarmory emerged from it. "You said you wanted to get your hands on a Skarmory so in some ways you can call this practice."

"I've already had practice so I'm just calling this my chance at my first Kanto Badge." Steve responded with a grin as Tristan nodded to Rachel.

"Begin!" Rachel announced and Tristan wasted no time with his first command.

"Skarmory, Fly!" Tristan commanded and the Skarmory took flight before Steve could even give a command.

"Damn, I won't be able to hit him up there." Steve thought as he glanced up towards the ceiling. "Meowstic, use Reflect and quickly!" Steve commanded and the Psychic Type Pokémon's eyes glowed as a purple barrier was erected around it, Skarmory dive-bombed towards Meowstic but all the attack did was shatter the barrier without hurting the Psychic Type.

"Not a bad strategy but it won't help you for long." Tristan responded as Skarmory flew around the arena. "Skarmory, use Steel Wing!" Tristan commanded and the Skarmory flew towards Meowstic as its wings glowed before hitting him.

"Much as I'd hate to admit it Tristan's Skarmory is a lot faster than my Meowstic." Steve thought as Meowstic got to his feet. "Unfortunately I can't switch out! I'll have to think fast!" Steve thought before pointing to Skarmory. "Meowstic, use Hyper Voice!" Steve commanded before covering his ears as Meowstic let loose a high pitched wail that stunned Skarmory.

"Skarmory, shake it off and use Steel Wing!" Tristan commanded and the Skarmory tried to shake it off but failed.

"And now's my chance!" Steve thought before pointing to the stunned Skarmory. "Now, finish it off with Toxic!" Steve commanded and the Meowstic launched some toxic goo at Skarmory with his mind.

"Fly above it!" Tristan commanded and the Skarmory recovered just in time to avoid the Toxic from Meowstic. "Use Steel Wing one more time!" Tristan commanded and the Skarmory flew towards Meowstic.

"If I'm going to win this I need to act now!" Steve thought before pointing to Meowstic. "It worked against Nidoqueen and it'll work now! Meowstic use Psyshock!" Steve commanded and the beams of light started hitting Skarmory, however just before the last beam of energy could hit Skarmory was able to hit its Steel Wing knocking Meowstic down as the last beam of energy hit Skarmory knocking it down. "Is it a tie?"

"No, look!" Tristan responded as Meowstic and Skarmory struggled to get to their feet, however whilst Meowstic was able to get to his feet Skarmory wasn't.

"Skarmory is out! Meowstic wins! The winner of the match is Steve from Lumiose City!" Rachel announced and Steve pumped his fist into the air as Tristan walked over to him after calling back Skarmory.

"You did great Steve, you've earned this badge." Tristan commented as he handed over Steve's badge. "In fact you all did great! I wish you luck in the Pokémon league but I have to warn you, if you thought I was tough then you'll be in for a surprise when you reach Cerulean City."

"We'll be a lot tougher by then, believe me!" Steve responded as he put his newly won badge in his trainer's case and handed Ann hers whilst the others nodded in agreement. "Officer Jenny, I'm ready to sign that witness report."

"I'm here to challenge to Pewter City Gym Leader!" Karen's voice rang out and Steve frowned before looking towards the entrance and seeing her there. "Steve?"

"Karen?" Steve asked once he recognized her. "What are you doing here? Last I heard you were still in Kalos!"

"I could ask you the same thing!" Karen responded as she walked up to him, when she saw Christie her frown deepened. "So let me get this straight, you dumped me for that?!" Karen asked as she motioned towards Christie.

"Excuse me?!" Christie demanded as she shoved Steve to the side. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Christie asked and Steve went to say something but his mouth was covered by Christie's hand.

"I think Steve's trying to say something Christie." Dalton pointed out and Christie removed her hand once she realized that.

"Thanks Dalton." Steve responded as he turned to Christie. "Christie, meet Karen Odawa, my ex-girlfriend." Steve introduced her as he pointed to Karen. "Karen, meet Christie Monroe, one of my current traveling companions who isn't my girlfriend!" Steve added as he sighed. "That is, as much as I'd like her to be my girlfriend off course!" Steve thought as Karen smirked.

"That's a relief." Karen said with a smirk. "I was beginning to think that you had downgraded from these….." Karen trailed off as she pointed to her breasts. "…..to those…." She added as she pointed to Christie's breasts which, whilst still fairly big, weren't as big as Karen's due to her athletic background.

"That does it!" Christie snapped at her as she activated her Pokeball. "As much as I'd like to stay here and argue between my natural breast size and her obvious implants I say we sort this out with a battle!"

"Please! I didn't come all this way to battle some rookie!" Karen responded as she rolled her eyes and Christie fumed.

"This obvious rookie has one thing you don't and that's the Boulder Badge!" Christie snapped at her as she held out the side of her hoody where she was keeping her badges.

"Do you have all the Kalos League badges?" Karen asked and Christie sweat-dropped before shaking her head and Karen showed hers. "I thought not! Battling you would be a waste of time!"

"Why did you date her in the first place?" Dalton whispered to Steve who shook his head.

"I dated her because her breasts were bigger than any other girl's I knew." Steve admitted as he shook his head. "When you have a dad like mine you basically date any girl who offers and even then I broke up with her after I heard that she had slept with half the male teenage population of Lumiose City behind my back!"

"I did not!" Karen snapped at him as she turned to him, however before Steve could retaliate the far wall exploded and trainers covered their mouths. "Oh great, now what's delaying my gym battle?"

"Prepare for trouble…." A female voice rang out and Steve and Ann sweat-dropped when they recognized it.

"And make it double….." A male voice rang out afterwards as the smoke started to clear.

"To infect the world with devastation….." The female voice rang out as the smoke cleared revealing Cassidy.

"To blight all peoples within our nation….." The male voice rang out as the smoke cleared revealing it to be Butch.

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love…." Cassidy added as she struck a cheesy pose.

"To extend our wrath to the stars above….." Butch added as he struck a similar pose.

"Cassidy….." Cassidy said as she stepped forward.

"And Butch off course….." Butch said as he stepped forward.

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth day and night!" Cassidy finished her part of the motto as the smoke finally cleared.

"Surrender to us now or you'll surely lose the fight!" Butch added with a grin on his face.

"Who?" Christie and Dalton asked causing the Team Rocket agents to face-fault.

"Their Team Rocket, remember those idiots who tried to break into the Pokémon center?" Steve asked and the two teens nodded as Cassidy and Butch got to their feet. "They are higher in the command chain and we've dealt with them before, the female's Cassidy…." Steve added and Cassidy smirked. "And the guy's Bob the Builder!" Steve added causing Butch to face-fault again.

"The name's Butch, god damn it Steve, you've known me long enough to know my name by now and do I look like I know how to build anything!?" Butch added and Cassidy shook her head.

"Basically we're here for your Pokémon and….." Cassidy trailed off when she saw the others plus Officer Jenny reach for a Pokeball. "I'm beginning to think that this could've been timed better!"

"Fine, we'll just send out everyone! Hitmontop, Cloyster, Mightyena, Primeape, I chose you!" Butch sent out his Pokémon and one by one the Pokémon emerged from it.

"Good idea, Ratticate, Houndour, Sableye, Tentacruel, Granbull, go!" Cassidy tossed the Pokémon and they all emerged from their Pokeballs.

"Delphox, Nidoran, go!" Steve tossed the Pokeballs and Delphox and Nidoran emerged from them.

"Don't leave me out! Combusken, Eevee, go!" Christie tossed her Pokeballs and the two Pokémon emerged from them ready for battle.

"I want in on this too! Butterfree, Pikachu, go!" Dalton called out and the two Pokémon emerged from their balls, Pikachu looked like he was in heaven when he saw Karen's breasts but Dalton cleared his throat. "Focus Pikachu, we're dealing with Team Rocket!" Dalton told him and Pikachu nodded.

"Alakazam, Greninja, go!" Ann called out and her Pokémon emerged from their Pokeballs again.

"You're not leaving me out! Chessnaught, Sandslash go!" Karen tossed her Pokeballs and the two Pokémon emerged from it. "We need one more Pokémon, we're out numbered!"

"Leave that to me! Arcanine, go!" Officer Jenny tossed her Pokeball and the large dog Pokémon emerged from it however it was then that everyone noticed that Combusken was glaring at them with more rage than the others. "What's up with her Combusken?"

"I don't know to be honest." Christie shrugged as Combusken kept glaring at the grunts. "Cassidy, Buffy, can you fill us in!"

"The name's Butch not Buffy!" Butch snapped at her but went ignored.

"Didn't some Team Rocket Grunts kill a trainer in Viridian Forrest to get his Torchic only for the Torchic to get away?" Cassidy wondered and Christie's eyes narrowed. "Before you say anything we were in Kalos at the time, we only heard of that when we were getting reports of Team Rocket Activities in this region."

"Yeah, basically the Team Rocket Grunts managed to catch the Torchic alone, must've gotten lost or something, but before the Team Rocket Grunts could weaken it with their Pokémon Torchic's trainer jumped in the path of the attacks and told Torchic to run." Butch added as Combusken's eyes narrowed at the grunt. "And from the look on his face your Combusken was that Torchic."

"That true Combusken?" Christie asked and the Pokémon turned and nodded to her. "Man, now I'm feeling bad for capturing a dead trainer's Pokémon."

"Yeah but if that's true then it does explain a few things, why it ran when you tried to catch it and why it was scared of its Pokeball." Steve added with a nod and a frown. "And as strange as it sounds I believe them when they say that they had no hand in it, they've always put business first so even if they were in the area they wouldn't have gone after the trainer."

"And why Combusken went after them just before my gym battle." Dalton added as he folded his arms. "And, as bad as it sounds, Combusken's now your Pokémon so you may as well make the most of it."

"Right, I'm ready when you guys are." Christie responded and the others nodded before sending their Pokémon into battle and the Team Rocket members did the same, it was a long battle but in the end Christie and her friends won. "Face it guys, your beaten!"

"Yeah but if you think we're being arrested think again!" Butch responded as he and Cassidy called back their injured Pokémon and left through the hole in the wall they had created with their entrance, the trainers called back their Pokémon but by the time they ran through the wall Butch and Cassidy where long gone.

"Damn it, they got away!" Christie grunted as she folded her arms. "Now what will we do?"

"Wait until they attack again." Steve responded as he stepped out of the hole. "As strange as it sounds I'm used to this, we went through the same routine back in Kalos."

"You mean when we weren't bumping into each other every other day?" Karen asked as she folded her arms. "I don't care! I just care about my gym battle."

"That'll have to wait until the damage is repaired but with the help of my Pokémon I can get it done within the hour." Tristan responded and Karen sighed. "So what's the next move for you four?"

"That's easy, we'll get our Pokémon healed, get Christie's top back, set up camp somewhere north of here and celebrate for a couple of days." Steve responded and the others nodded liking the sound of that. "And we'll be careful regarding that Pokémon that's been stealing food."

"Just don't forget about your witness statements." Jenny said as she stepped through the hole. "I can get them done here so it won't take long." Jenny added and the others nodded as they prepared to give their statements.
