MAJOR TIME SKIP (About 2 months) TO CAMP JUPITER

3rd Person POV

Slash. Hack. Stab. Twist. Duck. Stab again. Repeat.

The stuffing of gutted dummies littered the floor of the arena as Madeline became a whirlwind of destruction as she made her way through a row of dummies. There were an odd number of people in her cohort, so there was always one person who had to spar with the dummies instead of another person. Madeline always made sure she was the odd one out. No one wanted to spar with her anyway.

In the entirety of the two months the champion of Vesta had been at Camp J, as she now called it, not one person had been able to best her in sword-fighting, with spears, or with accuracy with target practice. Training here was a breeze.

Unfortunately for Madeline, Hazel and Frank were on guard duty today, which meant that as she hacked at the dummies, Madeline had no one to talk to either. Although it wasn't much of a change.

After physical combat class, Cohort 5 went to their monsters class. Basically this really boring lare read from a book of ancient monsters without any enthusiasm whatsoever. It didn't matter to Madeline- she had already faced about 98% of those monsters in combat anyway.

As she was about to head to the Field of Mars to help begin construction for the war games that week (if there was one thing she could say about the romans, it was that their war games were awesome) Madeline could hear a voice that sounded suspiciously like Hazel yell "Go! I can't hold them off forever! You'll be safe inside camp boundaries!"

Curious despite herself, Madeline headed to gates, by the Little Tiber. When she looked she saw Frank ushering him across the Tiber. Hazel was hot on their heels when the tunnel collapsed behind her.

As he finally started following Frank through the Tiber, holding Juno in his arms by the way (Madeline could tell it was Juno by her power signature) Stheno and Euryale (the gorgon sisters of Medusa) swooped down and grabbed Frank by the arms with their claws. Frank shouted in surprise and was lifted into the air. I started choking. oh come on! I finally make a friend and BOOM! You have to put him in a life or death situation?! I could hear Hazel stifle a scream.

At the same time that Madeline hefted her trusty spear, Perseus (might as well start saying his name now, seeing as I'm going to have to pretty soon anyway) set the goddess on the ground and lifted his hands to control the current of the Tiber.

Madeline had just enough time to think oh no you don't, before she hurled her spear with all the force and precision of someone who'd put years of effort into perfecting the art. As Perseus's hands rose up, so did the waves of the Tiber in the form of gigantic hands. Madeline's spear and the water hands reached the gorgons at the same time. Madeline's spear hit Euryale straight through the forehead, creating a pile of monster dust instantly. The water hands crushed Stheno and forced the dust of both of the gorgons into the Little Tiber, keeping them far enough apart so they couldn't form back together.

As Frank plummeted toward the Earth, the water seemed to blanket him, bringing him down softly. By this time, more than half the legion had shown up to see what the big commotion was.

Now that that's all done and taken care of, there's a bigger problem to deal with.

Madeline's face contorted into a mask of fury. She marched right up to the raven-haired boy's face and ground her teeth. "How dare you show your face here. I thought I told you that once I walked away-which you let me do- I would never want to see you again." She was brimming with rage, but kept her voice somewhat measured and low. "You should not be here at all. Enough is enough and you have crossed the line, buddy."

The whole legion was silent by now, completely mesmerized by the interaction. Perseus's eyebrows shot up, and he took a step back with both hands in the air. "Look," he said. "I don't really know what I'm doing here, or who you are. Whatever I did to you, I'm sorry, okay? I just woke up about a month ago with Lupa and she told me to come in this general direction. I might even have the wrong place, so don't go biting my head off over this!" He seemed to rethink what he'd said, and added, "please?"

Madeline grit her teeth, but considered what he'd said. If he really didn't know… What could that mean?

Reyna chose this time to step in. "Probiato, may I ask that you step back and allow the Praetor to conduct the interrogation?" Madeline reluctantly stepped back, glaring at the boy all the while.

"So," Reyna continued. "Lupa has sent you?" she questioned. Although Percy didn't really know this girl, he decided it was better safe than sorry, so he might as well answer her questions. He nodded.

Reyna pursed her lips in thought.

Madeline realized that Juno was still standing there in old lady form and noticed that she seemed to be getting quite aggravated by the lack of attention she was getting. Madeline took that as a signal that she should probably be kneeling, or bowing. She took a few steps in the direction of Juno, then knelt on one knee, head bowed in deference.

"Lady Juno, I apologize for not reacting sooner. I was distracted."

Juno acknowledged Madeline and motioned for her to rise. She slowly was enveloped in a white light. When the light diminished, Juno was standing there in all her glory, brown hair falling in ringlets down her back, goatskin cloak thrown over her shoulders. Once they noticed who they were in the presence of, every one of the romans knelt on the ground, heads bowed.

The only person present who remained standing was Perseus Jackson.

omg it's been so long. I'm really sorry guys I haven't had access to a computer for months and I'm really sorry I haven't updated. I'm losing inspiration for this story but I'm trying my best not to abandon it. I really need you guys to tell me if you want me to continue this story at all. Plus, I still have a poll up on my profile for pairings but I've only gotten one vote & idk where to go with the story other than the endgame. Please R&R for me.
