Aaaand I'm back, with another chapter of Rise of the commonwealth. I have nothing to say in this A/N so lets get to it.
Rise of the commonwealth re-write
Chapter 16
Citadel Space
Star Date: 3rd March 2158
Serpent Nebula-on approach to the citadel
"Citadel control this is CWS Blood of Monarchs we are on approach and requesting docking permission, be advised we are carrying an on assignment Blackguard here to meet with the Citadel council"
"Confirmed Blood of Monarchs head to docking bay A22 a C-Sec escort will be awaiting your arrival"
"Roger Blood of Monarchs out, your show now Guardsman." The VAMPIR stepped onto the bridge and waited silently for the ship to dock, red eyes piercing out from underneath the bulletproof hooded cloak. It wasn't long before a dull thud signaled they had docked with the citadel. Alucard made his way to the airlock as it cycled and opened revealing a C-sec detail.
"Why is there a mech here I thought we were dealing with one of those super soldiers" asked an Asari C-sec officer who was confused by the presence of the VAMPIR like her colleagues.
"I am the Blackguard operative, I have been told to meet with the citadel council to meet my spectre colleague who will be accompanying me on this assignment"
"Seriously they sent a mech I thought-" started a Turian before…
"Excuse me but I'm a fuck mothering VAMPIR I've killed a lot of people in this body I deserve to be called such" the C-sec officers were silent before finally deciding not to argue with the mech and just motioned for him to follow them to the council chambers.

Citadel council private chambers
Spectre Garrus Vakarian sat opposite the council in the council's private chambers patiently awaiting his Blackguard counterpart as the council discussed certain business with each other. He was studying his counterparts file on his omni-tool and didn't like what he was reading.
Created in 2155 the VAMPIR codenamed Alucard, was a Blackguard operative designed and created to stealthily eliminate threats to the whole of the commonwealth, his orders come directly from the commonwealth prime minister and is the only authority figure Alucard respects. Being one of the Blackguards top operatives his assignment to a mission is a clear indication the commonwealth prime minister has taken an interest in the mission. His methods are brutal and vicious resulting in a near 100% kill count of all enemies on all missions, he will do whatever is necessary to protect the security of the commonwealth at nearly any cost. His preferred method of killing people lies with his high powered dehydrator siphon, it helps cool his systems allowing him to use his wide range of tech abilities and continue normal functionality by draining all fluid from the victims body leaving them in a mummified state, he usually places them strategically as a form of psychological warfare on his foes.
Garrus' gaze was drawn from his omni-tool to the sound of heavy footsteps, he looked up to find Alucard stood in the door way flanked on either side by C-sec guards. The council also took notice ceasing their conversation and settling their gaze upon the mech in front of them.
"I'm sorry we were expecting a Blackguard operative not a mech." Said Sparatus, Garrus was about to fill him in before…
"I am the Blackguard operative, guardsmen Alucard at your service."
"I see, what are you, obvious you are mech but other than that no information, are you run by a high tech VI" asked Irelith
"No I am an AI." There was silence before the C-sec guards drew their weapons on the Blackguard operative, but before they could even consider pulling the trigger he vanished before their eyes, Spectre and council were wary and the C-sec guards searched the room, suddenly two were yanked backwards and hurled against a wall, they didn't get up one was knocked to the ground the other did a backflip, landed in a heap and as he tried to get up something hit him the head and he stayed down. The Blackguard operative then decloaked.
"Please tell your men not to attack me, it will only end with their suffering" the groans of the guards merely added to this fact.
Garrus who had his pistol drawn looked to the council who after a short deliberation motioned for him to holster his weapon, he grudgingly did so.
"Now, before you tell me to go shut myself down or something I must warn you, I am a citizen of the commonwealth I am afforded all rights and privileges of one and I am a top military operative of the Blackguard, and before you go citing citadel conventions I nor my people are bound to said conventions so I am not illegal in any way shape or form, and any action against me will be seen as a hostile act against the commonwealth." He cited.
"Yes, yes you've made your point." Growled Sparatus
"Thank you, now I have been assigned by Sir Integra too be the commonwealth representative on this joint mission between the spectres and the Blackguard, I assume this is the agent you are sending?" he said motioning towards Garrus.
"Yes, Garrus Vakarian at your service." Garrus said standing up he extended his hand to the mech, Alucard grabbed and shook it.
"VAMPIR mech designation Alucard, just Alucard will do though"
"I'll bet, if I may ask what to does VAMPIR mean is it an acronym or something."
"Yes it stands for Versatile Assassination Mech version PI model R" Garrus was silent for a moment
"So VAMPIR then." Alucard chuckled surprising the council and spectre slightly, it was deep and had a slight electronic edge to it.
"Hence the Acronym, I am ready to depart when you are spectre, all the mission specs are in my internal data base, and I have all the equipment I will need for this mission, I am just waiting on you now."
"Very well, my gear is already being loaded the ship that we will be taking for the journey, it's a new council prototype that needed testing out it has a retrofitted version of one of your hyperspace drives, unfortunately it still is not as effective as yours."
"Of course, would you give top end technology to people you've recently had a war with."
"No, I see your point."
"Garrus Vakarian we are sending you to aid our commonwealth allies in a search for a fellow spectre and a commonwealth military agent, your orders are to bring them back to their rightful homes by any means necessary." Spoke Tevos
"Yes Ma'm."
"Good this meeting is adjourned you are dismissed." Garrus nodded and followed Alucard as they made their way to the docking area.
It took them half an hour to get to the ship, Garrus went through the pre flight checks as Alucard ensured all the gear was stored safely and securely. When they were ready both sat at the helm as Garrus maneuvered the ship away from dock and towards the mass relay, in a matter of minutes they were through the mass relay and on their way.

Planet Remnant
Planet Date: 22nd June 2027
Star Date: 3rd March 2158
Beacon Academy
Ruby Rose didn't know what to think about the situation she and her friends were in. After the 'interview' with the two aliens Team RWBY had been charged with looking after the new arrivals, they had been exempted from usual classes for now but were told they had to keep up with the work in their new found spare time. They found themselves unable to concentrate the words of the aliens spinning in their heads, either a small team of hunter-esque warriors or a full scale military invasion from space I pray it's the small team option they choose. Ruby's thoughts echoed her team mates, as they silently worked on their course work in the study area, the two aliens were sat across from each other one, Marcus, was reading a book about dust he had expressed a somewhat vested interest in it and the concept of aura and semblances, the same could be said of Saren except he was less than kind when talking to any of them. Yang had already threatened to beat him a bloody pulp, he had simply laughed in her face, it took all of her teammates and Marcus to stop her from beating the spectre to death.
Ruby was doing her paper about the kingdoms of remnant and how they co-existed with one another, she briefly wondered how the commonwealth compared to these kingdoms, the two being human societies and all.
"Is it alright if I ask you a question Marcus" Weiss, Blake and Yang looked up as Ruby asked the young man a question.
"Sure" replied Marcus his attention turning from the book he was reading to Ruby, Saren kept on fiddling with his omni-tool.
"What is the commonwealth?" Saren looked up and Marcus arched an eyebrow.
"Well, the commonwealth is the galactic representation of the human species from earth our home world, we a democratic and militaristc society with a strong emphasis on defending our own, if someone takes something of ours or threatens something of ours, we want to find out who and why, and if there are hostile intentions, we annihilate them" he looked at the girls he had their full attention.
"How though, how would you do such a thing?" asked Blake intrigued
"Have you ever had the concept of space travel?"
"No, our technology base means that any engine we produce doesn't have the necessary thrust to breach Remnants atmosphere, so our space programs were abandoned" explains Weiss.
"Okay, the commonwealth has a massive fleet, since our brief war with the council" he continues nodding towards Saren who growls slightly, "our fleet has increased in size I don't know the exact number but pre-council war we had 20,000 war vessels, some ranging from 500 meter frigates to 5km long capital ships." He took a breath missing the looks of shock and slight worry creasing team RWBY's faces.
"The commonwealth also holds a substantial number of soldiers, by the last official consensus there were 13,589,774 professional soldiers in the commonwealth armed forces, ranging from commonwealth marines to the Blackguard super soldiers."
"Super soldiers?" asked Yang with a hint of worry in her voice, by the numbers this man was giving, remnant could be in for a serious arse kicking. Surprisingly Saren answered her.
"I will tell you a story that high lights their effectiveness to me, during the siege of the citadel my mentor Nihlus kirik and two fellow spectres, the elite of the elite of the citadel's forces, were trying to evacuate the council, they however were intercepted by a Black Guard operative, one of the spectres, a highly skilled operative known as Tela Vasir was killed almost instantly after, my mentor had his chest crushed by them. In citadel space on spectre is worth a platoon of regular men, two spectres were barely an annoyance to one Black Guard, that is why I respect them… and most fear them" the girls regarded the 2 men with slight worry but more curiosity.
"They sound a bit like hunters only scarier."
"That is one of their greatest weapons, fear they use it to gain an added advantage in combat, and when dealing with diplomatic issues, their reputation means people help either help them when asked or stay the hell away from them because they have that much of a reputation, even in citadel space I'm told… is that right Saren." Saren grunted still hating having to converse with the human but decided to answer any way.
"Yes even in citadel space the reputation of the Black Guards is well known and feared, civilians revere them, criminals fear them, and soldiers respect them. I dare say they are the finest fighting force in the galaxy, and I will never repeat that." the girls silently contemplated all they had been told about the commonwealth.
"If we were able to resolve this situation peacefully, could remnant become a part of the commonwealth?" asked Yang carefully
"Yes it is possible, but we have to get past this situation first." The girls nodded and went back to studying, their thoughts a buzz with what the future may hold.
Unbeknownst to them Ozpin was listening to everything that was said with another man.
"Tell me General, now do you believe that a military solution is the most appropriate response?" General Ironwood looked at his old friend solemnly.
"No, but if it comes to it we will fight to the last man."
"Pray old friend it does not come to that." said Ozpin solemnly as he walked away.

Sorry for the late update got side tracked with stuff. Now I bet a lot of you are disappointed with the lack of action, rest assured that next chapter things will begin to heat up both on remnant and the galaxy at large.
