Here is chapter 17 of rise of the commonwealth, I am sorry for the very late update I just had a hard time finding the motivation to write, I should let you know this story is not and will never be dead, it just might be a while in between updates. I hope you guys are ready because in this chapter things start to heat up.

Chapter 17
Planet Remnant
Star Date: 5th March 2158
Remnantine orbit
Alucard sat next to Garrus as they entered Remnants orbit, they were heading towards a heavily wooded sector of the planet to set down and start their search, as the craft roared through the air the two beings inside began searching for a suitable landing area. They found on, about 500 meters long by 300 wide, large enough for the 300 meter long and 200 meter wide ship. They brought the vessel in to land and set it down with a soft thud, the two of them disembarked and scanned the area with their weapons raised.
"Okay I saw a city about 4 klicks north west if we double time it, we should get there in about 3 hours." Alucard nodded and followed the Spectre as they hurried in the direction of the city in the distance.
In total it took them 2 and a half hours to reach the city outskirts, but the sun had started to set by the time they got there, Alucard and Garrus silently made their way through what looked the rough end of the city, if the people inhabiting it and the general decor indicated anything.
"Okay how are we going to find their ware bouts in this place, for all we know the military of this planet has them."
"…hmm, wait do you hear that." the two quieted down as they heard a couple of thugs wearing black suits and bowler hats conversing with each other.
"So what's this new info the boss has?"
"Apparently a couple of strangers were found by some students from beacon, rumors have it that they're aliens but I call bullshit" Alucard looked at Garrus he gave a nod and sneaked over to the trio of thugs when he was in position Alucard revealed himself.
"Well now would you mind telling me where these 'aliens' went?"
The three thugs turned around to see Alucard shrouded in shadow so only his glowing red eyes were visible.
"W-w-w-w-what's it to you ey, if you want to know you'll have to pay for it." The thug started meekly but eventually gained his confidence back.
"How about we just beat you until you give us it."
"We-?" there was a sick crunching sound as Garrus came in and slammed the butt of his rifle into the head of thug 2.
Thug 1 turned around but felt a mechanical arm lift him in the air and slam him to the ground.
Thug 3 turned to run but felt something grab him and then a piercing sensation in his neck, he felt himself getting weaker and weaker until finally he felt no more.
Alucard dropped the mummified corpse, missing the disgusted look Garrus sent him, and turned to face thug 1 who had managed to stand but was obviously still in pain, he looked extremely pale as his gaze lingered on his dead and unconscious friends.
"Now then, where were these 'aliens' taken?"
" I don't know, my boss Junior might know, he's an information broker, he owns the club around the corner he could tell you, please I don't know anything!" *SCHINK*.
Alucard cut off the man's pleas by slicing open the man's jugular with his talons. Garrus recoiled at the sight while Alucard walked away.
"Come on, let's pay 'Junior' a visit" Alucard said with finality, Garrus took one last look at the scene before following glaring at Alucard the entire time.

Yang Xiao Long, had decided that she needed a way to forget the horrible implications of her alien 'friends' words and decided to hit up a club, the rest of team RWBY felt the same way and decided to join her so here she sat with her team mates, each with their own drink, some alcoholic others not (Ruby) just amiably passing the time.
"So what do you think we should do tomorrow, it's a free day and if I have to spend one more day cooped up in a room studying I'm going to go berserk on the first thing I see." Stated the young crimsonette.
"Calm down Ruby, sheesh Yang supposed to be the violent one." Replied Weiss
"Yeah I- HEY whats that supposed to mean" Yang argued, the others chuckled while Yang pouted before returning to her usual self.
"Ruby does have a point though, what are our plans for tomorrow, I don't know about you guys but I'm with sis, if I have to spend one more day studying you'll have a pair of rampaging sisters on your hands."
"We could go shopping in Vale I want to look for a new book they are hopefully selling." RWY looked at Blake knowingly and were about to retort when the doors to the club opened and two figures walked in. Curious the gang looked over to them and was slightly afraid of what they saw.
One was wearing some form of armor, his face hidden beneath a strange helmet, an arsenal of weapons were attached to his back, the other figure was covered by a black hooded cloak, the only things they could make out were glowing red ominous eyes and the insignia on his shoulder. They looked at the insignia on the cloaks shoulder, it was a shield over a pair of crossed swords with a black rook chess piece in the background, underneath it were written the words, We Live To Serve.
They walked down towards the bar getting a few odd looks from the patrons, but these were ignored.
They walked up to Junior who looked at the two strangely, he was about to question them when the helmeted figure spoke up in a gruff flanged voice.
"We have heard rumors of some… strange beings being discovered around here, we were told by some of your goons that you might be able to inform us where they were taken."
"Oh you mean them supposed aliens-"Team RWBY tensed slightly "yeah supposedly they were taken to beacon academy."
"Where is that?"
"That my friends is going to cost you some lien" the helmeted individual looked to his comrade, the cloaked man then walked up behind the closest goon and tapped him on the shoulder, the man turned around only for the figure to bite the man's neck, screams echoed as the goon quickly mummified, his friends went to gun down the cloaked figure but were stunned when he vanished. That's when the massacre really started, team RWBY concealed and forgotten in their booth watched on as the invisible being slowly but surely massacred any and all goons in the room, Junior was unable to do anything he was being 'interrogated' by the other man about the location of beacon. The last goon fell down dead his body sliced open Jugular, to pelvis. Team RWBY felt green at the sight of the gore on the floor they could hear Junior finally pleading for his life in exchange for the info, he gave them beacons location, team RWBY decided now was the time to intervene and find out exactly what was going on.

Alucard was stood besides his partner as they listened to the directions Junior was giving them when they heard a voice call out behind them.
"Hey who are you guys?"
They turned around to see a young girl in crimson and black attire, a feline like female in black attire, a female in an all white ensemble and a young woman in all yellow attire, whats with the colour schemes thought Garrus.
"Great, why is it whenever you're in my club Blondie something bad happens." 'Blondie' shrugged but kept the cocky grin on her face.
"Shut up mister now you two answer the question who are you?" asked white menacingly. Garrus gave Alucard a questioning look. Alucard simply shrugged, Garrus looked at the four teens in front of him.
"Who we are is not your concern, now I suggest you let us leave" warned Garrus.
"Sorry we can't not without figuring out why you want to know Beacons location" stated red. Alucard made a grunting noise before activating his internal com-link to talk silently to Garrus.
"Diplomacy isn't getting us anywhere."
"We are not doing it your way, they'll most likely end up dead."
"No that is something I wish to avoid my thought is, if we move quickly enough we can disarm one of them and use them as a hostage."
"THEY'RE KIDS."
"No…they're an obstacle" Alucard activated his stealth systems.

Ruby's eyes widened in shock as one of the people they were talking to vanished completely his partner gave no visible reaction. Ruby went to open her mouth but something happened before she could. Crescent rose, her sniper-scythe hybrid, was knocked out her hands then she was grabbed spun to face her friends and then she felt cold metal against her neck, her friends looked on in shock as the cloaked figure reappeared with it's grasp firmly on Ruby and it's talons resting on her neck.
"RUBY!" her friends cried as they turned to face the cloaked figure.
"Let. Her. Go." growled Yang her eyes blazing crimson. The armored figure joined his cloaked accomplice, and raised a hand which the girls were now realizing only had three fingers.
"Here is what is going to happen we are going to walk to the door with your friend and you will remain there, when we reach the door we will release your friend and leave, if you attempt to follow us you will not like the result." The three girls growled but nodded, then that's when Ruby struck. Twisting quickly she was able to release herself from the cloaked figures grip she brought both feet up and kicked him in the chest using the momentum to propel herself to her fallen weapon.
With their leader no longer in danger the three girls moved in to attack, Weiss and Blake moved after the armored figure, while Yang moved to help her sister who was moving to confront the man who took her hostage.
Yang threw a straight at the cloaked figure who merely grabbed it and flipped her over his hip, Ruby came in and went to smack him with the blunt end of her scythe, he ducked under it and sent a fist rocketing into her gut, Yang went to defend sister with a right hook, but the cloaked figure simply moved his head back, but he was unable to dodge when Ruby fired a concussive shot and it slammed into his chest activating his shield which helped block the shot, but he was still sent flying into a wall. He rebounded using the jets in his boots to fly straight at Ruby who was caught unaware and tackle her to the ground, he then stood up grabbed her by the neckline of her shirt and the waistline of her skirt, he then lifted her into the air and slammed her into Yang who was moving to help, with the two of them entangled together he locked them in a biotic stasis field.
Meanwhile the armored figure was blocking Blakes cleaver/sheath using his omni-blade as Weiss went to impale him with her rapier, moving quickly he kicked Blake back using his momentum to roll away meaning Weiss missed him he then launched an overload at her stunning her long enough to knock her out with the butt of his gun, Blake went to attack again but was stopped when the armored man fired a concussive shot at her sending her flying into a nearby table knocking her out. The armored figure and the cloaked one looked at each other and nodded and quickly left the building, the cloaked figure deactivated the stasis field just as he left the building leaving Yang and Ruby to care for their two friends.
"How's Weiss?"
"Unconscious, looks like she got hit in the head by something, how's Blake?"
"Unconscious like Weiss only she looks a lot worse for wear, lets get them back to beacon and inform Ozpin about this"
"Right."

Slaver captain Marak Brothis of the former Hegemony's armed forces was finally thinking things were looking up in life. After the fall of the Hegemony to the council and those human dogs, life for the Batarians had gotten quite low for the former slavers, there were some who had embraced the council's anti slaving laws and were living comfortably on Khar shan under the watchful eye of the joint commonwealth-council peace keepers. But for some like Marak that wasn't them, so they fled to the Terminus systems to carry on with the old ways, and he had done well for himself he even commanded a small fleet. Right now he was looking at a juicy new prospect that could make him rich as a king, he activated his omni-tool.
"Talaris would you join me in my quarters for a moment?" his XO Talaris an Asari pirate joined him in the room.
"Is something the matter?"
"I've found a new prospect for us to hit, it's apparently a primitive world with lot's of slaves on it, ripe for the taking."
"Great what's it called i'm sure the rest of the fleet as been dying for something like this."
"It hasn't been given a name by the council or the commonwealth but the locals call it-"
Talaris walked down the halls and used her omni-tool to talk to her boss.
"What is it agent."
"Inform the council and the commonwealth to send reinforcements to help protect operation Black Wolf a Slaver fleet plans to attack Remnant."

There we are all done, again I am sorry about the lack of updates, I've just not had that much inspiration of late.
Also I know that the omni-blade wasn't invented at this time but it does in my story… Why? It's my story don't like it don't read it.
