It had been about two hours since Emmet had given his little speech at The Wild West realm, well actually for the group, it was closer to a day, but because Blaze had been able to create portals that led to other realms, it had cut the travel time down, and then Blaze and Dragono had kept reversing or slowly down time for the rest of the realms so that their group could travel between all of the realms in time.
Of course, even with Blaze's powers, time was still against them. Already they had come across several realms that had been devastated by the Micro-Mangers. In one realm, they had only just been able to save the inhabitants, but their world had been destroyed.
"Where are we now?" Maria asked.
"Middle Zealand," Lucy stated matter-of-factly, "A wondrous land full of knights, castles, mutton, torture weapons, poverty, leeches, illiteracy…"
Suddenly several nets were launched into the air, and encompassed Dragono, forcing the powerful reptile to the ground. Blaze rushed to Dragono's side, pulling his sword out as he approached the dragon.
"Step away from the beast," a voice called out, "That's our kill."
"And he is my dragon," Blaze stated, "Not some dumb beast."
Dragono growl, realising a small breath with his purple flames. The knights backed off slightly before Blaze finished cutting the rest of the ropes that were holding
Once Dragono was free, the knights picked up there weapons and the lead knight told the group to follow them. As they walked, Blaze hung back slightly. Emmet noticed this, and slowed down so that he was level with the young Angel.
"What's the problem?" the Special asked.
"I just realised how stupid it was to ask all of you to help me," Blaze stated, "How it was even more stupid to ask for my friends to help me, when they could very well die."
"If we don't help," Emmet stated, 'Then Cre^dus wins, and we can't let that happen."
'Thanks," Blaze replied, "but i had two close friends that said the same thing before they were killed protecting me."
"Erath and Josh?" Emmet asked.
"They died stopping Cre^dus and his Dark Clones," Blaze stated, "And I haven't forgiven myself for not protecting them from my enemy. Nor do I think has Maria and Anna have forgiven me either."
"She hasn't forgotten what happened to Josh," Lucy said, coming to stand next to Emmet, "But she doesn't blame you for what happened."
"I really don't know what to think of myself anymore," Blaze stated, looking at his hands, "I have killed and been the reason why people that have been killed while they stood beside me.
"My hands are covered in the blood of thousands of humans and Elves that have been wiped out. And then there is the blood of Josh and Erath on my hands. I can't forgive myself until I have redeemed myself."
By now they hand reached a massive castle that stood on top of a large hill. As the group walked through the great halls that made up the inside of the castle, they couldn't help stare at the architecture.
"The King and Queen of Middle Zealand will see you now," the Knight that had led them here stated.
As the group walked into the large throne room, Anna couldn't help but gasp at the scale of the room.
Inside there were several large statues of past kings and queens, while the current king and queen were sitting in two high back thrones at the end of the room. When the group got the edge of the stairs, everyone but the Angels and dragon bowed.
"I'd suggest you three bow," the lead knight muttered at the floor, "Otherwise they can get quite irritated."
"My second in command is correct," the king announced, "I do not take kindly to lowly peasants such as yourselves not showing due respect."
"My apologies, your highness," Maria stated, bending at the hip, "But I do not wish to disrespect you."
"And what of you, boy?" the king asked, "Shall I have to execute you? Or shall you pay your respects to us."
'We do not bow to higher powers, such as yourselves,' Dragono stated, 'do not except us to help you after threatening us.'
"And I am hardly a boy," Blaze retorted, "and I shall not bow down to you."
"Then do not except us to listen to you," the queen stated.
"Then may I speak?" Lucy asked.
"You may," the King replied.
"Though your friend Blaze does not wish to pay due respect," Lucy explained, "He is your only chance at surviving the oncoming storm. I know that you will already have information on the danger that approaches from Bricksburg.
"Blaze is the sworn enemy of thee man that is leading that army of chaos, and he asks for you to join us on the Friday that comes at the realm of Ninjas."
"We will join you," the queen stated after some talking with the king, "But first you must feast with us."
Everyone stood and gathered a table that had been quickly brought in. the night was long, but fall of food and drink, and by the time the group was ready to leave, Blaze and Dragono had earned the trust of the King and Queen.
A/N: I am truly sorry if the chapters seem to be getting shorter, but i have found that i am kinda short of NECA credits (something like 16 out 80), and i want to concentrate on my main series.
P.S: i also feel like shit (although that is hardly an excuse, sooo)...
