Song: Kryptonite, 3 Doors Down
Focal Character(s): Mithos
It had taken Mithos a long time to realize exactly how much he hated the world. He'd been across it more times than he could count, and it didn't care. He'd gone to the ends of the earth to save the people of this world, and it had taken that whole journey of working and fighting and watching and waiting to see just how much the world hated him.
Everything he did, he did for the world. He gave up everything — his home, his childhood, his blood, sweat, tears — everything. And the world knew it. The world called him a hero. The world revered him and remembered him and passed his name down through the generations.
The same world that threw his sister away.
If the world really cared about him, why was she gone? Why did they hate half-elves? Why didn't anything change? Why did year after year after year go on and on and on and the hatred repeat itself again and again and again?
He would be the change. The world called him a hero, but the real heroics were yet to come.
