Blaze didn't stop moving when he lost contact with Delpha or Dark Delpha, but rather speed up, so that he could zone in on the power source that only he could detect. He didn't know why, but Cre^dus was the only thing that he could sense now.
It was almost like his power was living in the sides of the…the building! Blaze ducked as two humanoid Micro-Mangers morphed out of nowhere, soon followed by hundreds more.
"You shall not escape me this time Blaze," the Micro-Mangers all shouted at once, "Nor shall your sister, the light one, and the chosen one shall lose what remains of his physical form."
"Keep going Blaze," Maria stated; igniting her double ended energy sword, "I'll hold them off."
Blaze nodded, before yanking his Knife Rifle off his back, and throwing at his sister. She saw it coming a grabbed it, using its blade to cut through several of the Micro-Mangers. Blaze didn't stay to see if she got it, but rather continued on to the President's office.
"They shall come in thousands," Business mumbled, "Rising from the watery factories, they shall rise, and they shall destroy all of the realms, leaving nothing but ruins of even the weakest worlds."
Anna was carrying Business piggy-back style, as she and Metal-Beard rushed to find Alpha team. They needed to get out of the tower soon, otherwise all hell would break loose, with them in the middle.
"What about ye two Angel friends?" Metal-Bread asked, "Shouldn't we try to help them?"
"Not if we want to save Dragono," Anna stated, "He can't regenerate his body once it has been destroyed, and his kinda important where we come from."
Emmet was still carrying Dragono in his arms when Benny stopped slightly, hovering in place for a moment. Lucy and Emmet both stopped too, and looked back at the blue Astronaut.
"I'm stuck in a force field," Benny explained, "There's nothing you guys can do; just keep moving."
"We can't just leave you here," Emmet stated, "What if…"
"Leave me here," Benny explained further, "Or else Cre^dus will get what he wants."
"But we need to stick together," Emmet said.
"C'mon Babe, we need to keep going," Lucy said, "We need to focus on getting Dragono to Blaze when the other group find Cre^dus."
"But we can't…" Emmet said stubbornly.
'Leave him, for he will be fine,' Dragono stated, 'It is more important that the combined power of the Light One and the Chosen One is powered through a strong vessel into Cre^dus. That is the only way of defeating him.'
Emmet looked up at Benny one last time, before following Lucy back down the corridor. Benny's expression then hardens, as he waited for the inevitable.
Anna and Metal-Beard were sprinting through the corridors of the large tower, when they ran into Benny. The Blue Astronaut was floating in the centre of the hallway, as if he was bored. Anna slowly approached him.
"Don't come any closer," Benny stated, "I'm trapped within a force field."
"How can ye tell?" Metal-Beard asked.
"Well, if I touch the field like so…" Benny moved his hand towards an empty point in space, before yanking his hand back in pain.
The force field was only visible for a split second, before it disappeared again.
"See what I'm talking about?" Benny asked.
"Yeah I can see," Anna stated, putting Business down on the floor ever so carefully, "Let me try something."
She unsheathed her two swords, and struck the force field. The shield faltered for a moment, before suddenly, and explosively, collapsing. Benny floated back to the ground, as Anna picked herself off the ground from where she was lying.
"Lassie, ye be alright?" Metal-Bread asked.
"I'll be fine," Anna stated, "Benny do you think you can carry Business?"
"Sure, but where are we going?" the Blue Astronaut asked.
"We need to get Dragono's heart of hearts out of the tower," Anna explained, "And preferably out of the city, before it's too late."
"Negative, if you have the President," Batman stated over the com gruffly, "Then you need to get him to safety. Emmet, Lucy and Dragono know what they are doing, and they can't be distracted."
"Besides, all of the corridors and other access routes to where every Cre^dus is hiding have been blocked," Bad Cop stated, "We need to get the president as far away from that tower as possible."
"Fine, We'll go," Anna stated angrily, "But you are gonna be in so much trouble if Blaze and Dragono die."
"Understood," Batman said.
They really didn't know what to except when they saw Cre^dus. But for some reason, both Lucy and Emmet recognised the evil being at once. He was sitting in the middle of the room, waiting for something that only Dragono could guess at.
"Welcome Lucy," Cre^dus spoke from where he was sitting, "Welcome Emmet, and welcome back, Dragono Shadowflame. I do believe your rider, the former Chosen One, will be with us shortly. In the meantime, I believe it be best for you save your energy."
'Do not play games with us, Dark One,' Dragono retorted, 'You should know why we are trapped here.'
"Oh, I do," Cre^dus stated, "Your trapped here, because this is one of the many places, but the easiest of them all to access, that Blaze cannot regenerate in."
"Is that so, brother?" Blaze asked from the opposite doorway, "I know that even if I can't regenerate here, I can still kick your ass."
"Then come and get me," Cre^dus stated, standing up, "Or do you have other plans."
Blaze charged forward, his sword igniting as he sprinted towards Cre^dus. The former simply sidestepped the Angel, before unsheathing his blade. Dark Flame shone in the dark room, but it was as if it was creating a darker light source than normal fire.
'The sword that first killed Blaze,' Dragono told Emmet and Lucy, 'or the result of that sword after it had been altered by Cre^dus.'
"What is the matter my dear Angelic friend?" Cre^dus taunted, "Can't use your wings in this world? Can't fly away from me?"
Blaze growled low in his throat before charging at Cre^dus again. Dark Flame and Dark Blade collided, and caused the room to light up in a brilliant flash. Cre^dus then jumped backwards, and landed on his feet, while Blaze was sent flying across the room; into the large window that occupied an entire wall.
Blaze grunted as he stood up, while Cre^dus looked at the construction worker and his girlfriend. He then motioned at Emmet, and the young Master Builder went flying into Cre^dus' arms. Lucy yelped, as she quickly caught Dragono's heart of hearts.
Blaze looked up at Cre^dus and saw Emmet in his arms. "Leave him alone Cre^dus. This is between you and me," Blaze shouted.
"Oh it is so much more than that," Cre^dus stated, before drawing Dark Flame back.
Emmet gasped, as the cold metal entered his back, and sliced through his lung and heart. The Special looked down at his chest, and gingerly touched where the blade was protruding from it.
He then grunted as Cre^dus withdrew Dark Flame, and threw Emmet back towards Lucy and Dragono. As Emmet hit the floor, Lucy dropped Dragono's heart of hearts, and knelt beside her boyfriend.
