It was a little after 1pm and their flight back to Los Angeles was to leave in about two hours. Lauren became restless; she's NEVER felt the kind of detestation she's felt with Derek Michael Trenton; she loathed him. It was approaching the 3 hour mark and the older brunette's emotions started to get the best of her. She was slowly becoming enraged; the memories flooding her all at once, fueling her anger for HIM and with her.

This is BULLSHIT, her darkened green eyes glanced at the time, 1:15pm, she said NO LONGER than 2 hours…I don't fucking need this; seriously, I DON'T NEED THIS!

***Flashback 5 Years Ago***

Madrid, Spain

It was noon and Lauren was already 3 hours late to her recording session. She was flopped across the bed in her hotel room, her body limp from partying the night before. She was twenty-one, on the verge of her twenty-second birthday and had a FUCK IT attitude, yes, that would be the best way to describe it. She was moping around most of the time, not hearing from the younger brunette killed her, and everyday it killed her a little more.

"Lauren!" Dylan barged through the door, kneeling beside the somewhat intoxicated girl, "Simon's almost here and he's pissed." He said in an urgent tone.

"What?" she popped up, wiping her eyes with the back of her hands, "he's HERE? I thought he was in the Asia with Normani?"

Dylan shook his head, his eyes wide, "you need to get up-"

The door smacked open, "UP! You NEED to get UP." He said in serious tone, "Dylan, can you give me a moment with Lauren, I need to speak with her." Dylan exited the hotel room closing the door behind him.

They just stared at each other for a few seconds.

"What?" Lauren let out crossing her arms.

"WHAT? You're late AGAIN," he began to pace back and forth clearly angry, "you know Lauren, when the band broke up, I CHOSE YOU and Normani for a reason!" he spat, "her album's been released and she's touring Asia and your album is suppose to drop in a month, it's anticipated to go number one Lauren and you've only recorded THREE," he put up his fingers, "THREE Songs!"

SHIT. He's right! What the heck am I doing?

"Look Simon, I'm sorry," she shook her head.

"What's going on with you Lauren?" his eyes narrowed.

"I've just been out of it," she swallowed the lump in her throat and took a deep breath, "I've just been thinking about Camila, the girls, and home…"

All I could think about was CAMZ, she occupied my mind and NOT hearing from her broke me.

She watched him look up to the ceiling shaking his head, "You need to stop," he gestured with a manila envelop in his hand, "this whole think with Camila is bullshit; it's distracting you, ever since the two of you got together a few years ago!"

Her green eyes went wide staring at him, "you knew?"

He let out chuckle, "of course I KNEW, it's my business to know everything about you girls."

He nodded towards the envelope and Lauren picked it up, pulling the contents out, pictures of Camila and her together…of course he KNEW she thought to herself, "you had a private investigator tail us?" her eyes angry.

"Yes, like I said, it was MY business to know everything." He crossed his arms as he let out a breath, "look Lauren, this is for your own good," his eyes drifting from hers to the envelope.

"There's another envelop in there, the contents are about to be released in a few days, it's up to you whether or not you want to look at them now." His face was soft, almost sorry.

She took a step back, almost scared, "what are you talking about Simon?" her green eyes meeting his gaze.

Lauren pulled the envelope out and looked at it, her heart began to race as she pulled the contents out. She felt the tears emerge from her eyes, she did everything she could to hold them back but they streamed down her face; she couldn't stop them.

"I'm sorry Lauren, you need to stop spending SO much of your time worrying about a girl who's clearly not thinking about you, not anymore. Clean up, I'll see you in the studio." He walked out the door, closing it behind him.

Lauren fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably as her eyes looked at the pictures in her hand. She was happy; Camila looked happy and she was with HIM, with Derek, pictures of them together and she felt her heart break right then and there.

***End of Flashback***

She was now angry, her thoughts consuming her, I DON'T NEED THIS. She began packing her things, not bothering to fold anything. She just tossed her clothes in her luggage, not really caring if they fit or not. The door creaked open, but the porcelain skin girl didn't bother to stop and look to see who it was, she just kept packing

"Babe?" Camila let out softly, her brown eyes following the girl she loved hastily make her way around their hotel room, still not a sound coming from her, "Lauren," she grabbed the older brunette's arm gently, turning her to meet her gaze, "what's wrong?" her brown eyes scanning the girl in front of her and she could tell the green-eyed girl looked hurt, but why, that she wasn't sure of, "talk to me," the younger girl became worried as she waited for a reply.

Lauren shook her head, breaking eye contact, "you said you'd be no longer than a couple of hours," her face hardened.

"I know, I'm sorry," she cupped her face, bringing green eyes back to meet her own, "it ran a little longer and with traffic, Lo," she brushed her thumb against fair skin, "I'm sorry."

The taller brunette stepped around the brown-eyed girl, making her way to her luggage, zipping it shut, "you just, you'll never get it Camz." She turned around, her green eyes glossy; she was trying to hold back tears.

She's crying, oh gosh, what did I do? She thought to herself as she looked into watery green eyes.

The younger brunette noticing instantaneously closing the gap between them, "then help me understand Lauren, don't shut me out," she moved closer, but was waved off, "talk to me, please" she pleaded, looking at Lauren; it broke Camila's heart.

"I was so in love with you," Lauren shook her head, her eyes on the floor, "years ago, I was SO in love with you and you," she took a few steps away from the younger brunette, lifting her glossy eyes to meet brown ones, "it was so easy for you to move on," Camila's eyes went wide at the words and she wanted to jump in but couldn't, "the first time I found out about you and Derek it broke me Camz, I've never felt that kind of pain before," she held her hand against her heart, "I saw photos of the two of you, you looked so happy and it hurt so much, so much that every memory of us faded away," the tears began to flow from her eyes, "I remembered photos of the two of us, you and me, we were so happy, so in love," she shook her head in disbelief, "tell me, what happened? Who are they? Where did they go? When was love ever enough," she sniffled, "and I didn't know you anymore, my memory of being in love gone so far, it wasn't fair and ever time I felt it come back, it just hurt too much, so I let it fade away…you became this stranger that I used to know."

Camila's brown eyes were pouring out with tears as she quickly closed the distance between them, "Lauren," she grabbed her arms, "that's not true," the younger brunette shook her head, her eyes staring into numb, watery green ones, "this is just work, Lauren-"

Lauren stepped back, "you still don't get it Camila, it will NEVER be JUST work," she wiped her tears with the palm of her hands, "for the last six years, not once, NOT ONCE did I EVER LOVE anyone else, yeah I've said it when I shouldn't have because I never meant it, I've ONLY ever meant it with YOU," her green eyes pierced through crying brown ones, "but you," her raspy tone defeated as she panted in between her sobs, "you loved someone enough to actually WANT to marry that person, to be with him for the rest of your life," she shook her head, pain written all over her face, "to be with HIM forever and build a family with him," she swallowed the lump in her throat.

"Lauren I'm sorry," Camila cupped her face, "I didn't-"

"It'll never just be work Camz," she broke contact, "every time you mention his name, every time I see you with him, it tears me apart," she shook her head, "go on and tear me apart," she said in a whisper, her eyes to the ground, "do it again tomorrow, I almost forgot who we are, whenever you're with him, I forget who WE are and it hurts too much, love's insane isn't it?" her green eyes shot up, looking into brown ones.

"Lo," Camila grabbed hold of her hand, tears running freely from her brown eyes, "I never meant for any of this to hurt you." Her tone was pleading, not wanting to let go.

"I need some time alone Camz."

"Time," she let out in between sobs, "time for what Lauren?" her grip tightening around the older brunette's hand.

"Take the plane back to Los Angeles, I'll find a way back." She breathed out before making her way to the door.

Camila dropped to her knees; her brown eyes watched Lauren close the door behind her as the tears continued to stream down her face
