Seven: Welcome

Athena and Mark were cleaning out the home that Steve and Destiny were going to use while on their stay.

"Do you know when they are coming?" Athena asked Mark.

"In a few days." Mark told her. "You might like Destiny."

"I hope so." Athena told him, she hadn't met the woman that Steve was going to marry, but she must be very nice.

"Dad!" they heard the children scream.

"Seems that the kids are home." Athena said with a laugh, before getting kiss from Mark.

Destiny and Steve were driving toward Death Valley, Destiny knew that Steve wasn't too happy, but she really wasn't going to leave him alone even if he was angry with her.

"We're going to be staying in my friend's wife's house." Steve told her.

"Are they separated?" Destiny asked.

"No, Mark and his wife Athena used to be neighbors before they got married." Steve told her.

"Oh, that sounds nice." Destiny said.

Destiny looked out the window as they arrived to Death Valley and the town seemed nice. When they got to the place they were going to stay in, well Destiny was just floored by it. The place was really beautiful and new to it was a cabin like home. Steve smiled at his fiancé and looked at the place that used to be Athena's house.

"It's really nice isn't it?" Steve asked. He got down before opening the door for Destiny. She looked around before she saw the large animal looking at her.

"Is that wolf?" Destiny asked.

"Yes, Tombstone." Steve said and the wolf came forward.

"The name of the wolf is Tombstone?" Destiny asked.

"Uncle Steve." Destiny turned and saw the little girl coming forward.

"Artemis, come here." Steve said with a huge smile and Artemis ran to him. Steve caught her and hugged her tight.

"Hello." Destiny said to the little girl.

"Hi, are you with Uncle Steve?" she asked him.

"Yes, I'm his fiancé." Destiny told her.

"I'm Artemis, Uncle Steve is my God-father." she told Destiny with a huge beaming smile.

"Where are your parents?" Steve asked.

"Looking for their little girl." Destiny looked up to see the woman standing there and she was in shock.

"Athena." Steve said.

"Hello Steve." Athena told him and went forward to kiss his cheek, before she turned to Destiny. "You must be Destiny."

"Yes." Destiny told her and they smiled at each other. "The wolf is yours?"

"Tombstone was my husband's first, now he's the family pet as well as his sons Last and Skull." Athena told her. Steve let Artemis go before he turned to the woman.

"Pfft…that wolf loves you." Steve told her. To prove his point Tombstone went to Athena's side like a guard dog which he basically was. Athena rubbed his head affectionately.

"Well the door of the house is opened and the keys are hanging on the back of the door of you wish to go inside already." Athena told them.

"Where's Mark?" Steve asked.

"In the office, it might be a small town but we do have little problems." Athena told them.

"I'm going to go, check on him." Steve said. "I'll see you later."

"Okay." Destiny told him and they kissed before he left on the car. Destiny looked at Athena and smiled.

"Would you like to come inside for a drink?" Athena asked.

"If it wouldn't be much of a problem." Destiny told her.

"Not at all, Destiny." Athena said with a soft smile. "We can go and then you can tell me how you became the owner of the café after everything in your life."

"You can tell me the same thing." Destiny told her, before they hugged. "It's good to see you again."

"You too." Athena told her before they walked together.
