Luke's surprised outburst was nothing compared to the completely flabbergasted look on his face. Anise skipped ahead of him on the path, turning around once she was ahead of him and walking backwards.
"You know. What kind of girl do you like? Haven't you ever thought about it before?"
"Well, uh, not really..."
"Come on, you have to have some idea," Anise cajoled.
"I- I don't know- why are we talking about this anyway?" Luke stammered, face flushing.
Guy punched him on the shoulder. "What's the harm in it? I mean, even I've thought about it before."
"Right!" Anise said cheerfully. "We've gotta talk about something. Traveling is so boring! I bet you like cute girls with dark hair and-"
"Nah, I think Luke goes more for brunettes," Guy interrupted. Luke's face flushed a deeper shade of red.
"G-Guy! You're supposed to be on my side!"
Jade smirked. "He is. I imagine Luke also likes women who are calm enough to temper his hotheadedness and rash actions."

"Certainly Luke would like a woman who can hold her own in battle," Natalia chimed in.
"Natalia, not you too!" In a panic, Luke latched onto the arm of his only potential savior. "Tear, you've gotta help me!"
