Lexi was drug into a room and thrown to the floor. She saw a man's shoes. Her eyes slowly made their way up to his face. His smile made Lexi shiver.
"Well hello there pretty, what interesting eyes you have... What's your name?" He said.
"Lexi," Lexi said in her native Russian accent.
"So young.. So pretty.." The man said slowly as he knelt down to look Lexi in the eyes. "Take off your clothes."
Lexi hesitated and the man picked her up by her neck and held her in the air. "Take.. off.. your.. clothes."
He dropped her. Lexi did what she was told. He was about to take her picture when he seemed to notice something. "What the Hell?"
He grabbed Lexi's shoulder and turned her to look at her back. "What the hell is this? Huh, its looks like this girl's back has been to the butchers! No one will buy her. Not with these nasty scars all over her back. Just.. shoot her!"
Just as his assistant was about to put a bullet between Lexi's eyes the man stopped him. "Wait... Take her blood and give her a full work up. We may be able to get good money out of this one after all."
"I'm coming!" Charlie called out to herself as she ran down stairs to answer the phone. It was Jakes. He was in jail.
"Did you find Lexi?" Charlie asked.
"No. Hey have you heard from Paige?" Jakes said.
"No.. why?" Charlie said.
Mike was freaking out. He wanted to go after the car but Briggs told him he was too hot.
"Of course I'm too hot!" Mike replied. What he really wanted to say was that he was in love with Paige and no one was stopping him from getting her back.
"Johnny I'm going with you!" Mike said when Briggs instructed him to go bail DJ out of jail.
"Okay but I'm driving." Johnny said.
They had to find them... Paige had been gone for almost 24 hours and Lexi... dear God, Lexi had been missing for 48.
Paige was in shock as she was led into an open room, with nothing but a TV and a few ratty old couches. She saw the girls. They almost looked like they were on something... She looked desperately for Lexi, but she didn't see her. But she did see Lena. She was alive. Paige slowly and carefully made her way over to her and sat down.
Later on they were brought into a room and given a number to hold. Paige wanted to vomit. They were being sold off like livestock. Paige once again looked for Lexi, but again.. did not see her. Paige leaned Lena's way. "Bite your cheek as hard as you can, until it bleeds. Then cough.. do it."
Lena did and it worked. Later Paige caught up with her.
"Hey you seen a young girl? She's blond. She's 18 but she looks younger." Paige asked her desperately.
Lena shook her head.
Paige thought for a moment.. "She had two different colored eyes."
"Yes! I saw her. She's being kept in another room away from us." Lena said.
Paige crinkled her eyebrows. "Why?"
"I don't know. The man only said he didn't want her catching any germs from us." Lena replied.
Paige didn't understand or know why she just knew she had to get herself, Lena, and Lexi out of this place.
"We're getting out of here... Tonight." Paige said determinedly.
"How?" Lena asked.
"I don't know yet.. but I'll figure it out."
Soon they were at the jail and Johnny gave the clerk the money to get Jakes out. Jakes hadn't been out of jail for two minutes before he and Mike were at each other's throats.
"We better find her and Lexi.. or that's on you." Mike said.
"Hold up Mikey. First of all Paige is an adult who makes her own decisions and Lexi.. is just a dumb ass stray with a dumb ass plan." Jake spat, not thinking.
Mike whipped around and punched Jakes straight in the face. "Paige was your partner, and you were her back up! and Lexi is NOT some dumb ass stray. She is a part of this family and this team! And she was only doing what any good agent would have done! ...They both were..." Having said that Mike stormed off.
Jakes wished he could take his words back... he didn't mean them... Mike was right... It was his job to watch Paige's back, and even thought he couldn't help getting arrested.. Paige still did the right thing...It wasn't her fault she didn't know he wasn't there. And he especially felt bad about what he had said about Lexi. Lexi was braver then all of them, doing what she did. She wasn't some dumb ass stray.. he didn't know why he said that. She was a vibrant 18-year-old with hopefully a still bright future ahead of her..
Paige sat on her bunk next to Lena thinking desperately of a plan to get them out. A plan came to her as the guard was about to leave. She jumped up quickly to stop the door from closing. She turned around and beckoned Lena to her. She was about to turn back to the door when it flew open and Lexi was standing before her.
"Great minds think a like." Lexi said softly as a single tear rolled down her check.
Paige shot forward and hugged her. She had never been so happy to see anyone in her life. "Come on, let's go!"
And the three of them took off. They were out the door when the alarm sounded. Lexi was the first to reach the fence with Paige and Lena right behind her. Lexi was at the top of the fence with one leg over when they were caught.
Paige screamed at Lexi to jump as she was pulled off the fence and hit with a baseball bat. Paige clutched her leg as the man raise the bat above his head and prepared to strike again. Paige braced herself for what was to come.
"NO!" Came Lexi's scream. And she jumped off the fence and in the way just as the full force of the bat came down upon her.
Lexi fell to the grown.. bleeding from her temple. But as the man went to take a swing at Paige again Lexi somehow found the strength to get up. Lexi slammed every bit of her weight into the man, backing him up and away from Paige. But the man was more powerful than young Lexi and he had a bat. He hit her again and again.. until eventually Lexi was overpowered and struck to the ground.
Lexi was bleeding and laying on her back. She turned her little head to look at Paige, who was lying at arms length away from her. Paige rolled onto her side and met Lexi's eyes.
The man was about to hit Lexi again for good measure when another man, the head man came out and stopped him.
"What the hell are you doing!? Put these two back in their cages... and what have you done to this one? You're lucky we only need her for her organs and not to look pretty."
Paige watched as frighted tears began to fall from Lexi's eyes.
"And you better not have beaten any of her organs into a pulp... they're worth 30K a pop and the surgeon's coming in the morning."
In a swift motion, without removing her eyes from Paige, Lexi pulled the locket Lauren and Donnie had given her from her neck and closed Paige's hand around it. Then one of the man picked Lexi up and took her away.
One of the men wrapped Paige's leg up and then tossed her and Lena back in their cell. Tears fell from Paige's eyes, not because she was in pain or scared.. but because in just a few hours her beloved Lexi.. would be dead.
Morning came and the men came to gather the girls and herd them into the room. "I'm sorry Lexi.." Paige whispered to herself as she walked.. "I'm so, so sorry.."
Paige and the other girls were given their numbers as a man with a mask over his head was brought in. A man removed the bag and there... standing before her was Mike. He smiled ever so slightly at her when their eyes met. Paige smiled a little on the outside.. and real big on the inside.
"Where's Lexi? Did you find her?" Mike asked Paige when she and him were alone in the little white room.
Tears filled back up in Paige's eyes. "She's dead Mike.."
Mike looked at her in shock but quickly forced himself to regain his pokerface. "What.."
"The scares on her back... she was to damaged to be a sex slave.. so they cut her open this morning, took out her organs, and sold them on the black market for 30K a pop.." Paige whispered.
Mike could feel tears threatening to fill his eyes but he had to remain sharp and focused. He had to save Paige... the women he loved... and he had to save this case..."
"Paige I am so so sorry." Jakes said with tears in his eyes.
Paige was sitting on her bed crying, looking at the ballerina music box he had just given her.
"Lexi.." Paige sobbed. "It's not fair.. She died saving me."
"Na girl, They would have killed her no matter what..." Jakes said, holding her and trying to comfort her.
"I should have at least tried to save her.. I was just lying there beside her on the grass. So was so young Jakes... she was so bright and full of light and God, she was so strong... You would have made a great agent on day..." Paige cried into him.
She took out Lexi's locket from her pocket and held it tightly in her hands. She opened it and stared at the picture of Lexi, Lauren and Donnie, smiling on the inside.
"Jakes.. could you give me a minute alone please... I need to call Lauren and Donnie." Paige said. She could already hear the sound of their hearts breaking.
A few hours ago...
"Is she out?" A man asked.
"Yes.. finally.. it took two of us just to hold her down on the table so we could put the IV in." A doctor said.
"Good. She's all yours." The man said.
The doctor smiled. "Her organs are gonna save a lot of rich lives."
"Hey boss! Hold up a second!" A man from the other room called out. He was standing over Lexi's unconscious body in the make shift surgery room.
"What is it? Can't you see I'm in the middle of business here?" The man said.
"Boss.. do you know who this girl is?!" He said.
"No, should I?" The man in charge replied.
"This is Alexia Petrova! Daughter of Uri Petrova the great leader of the Russian mod. This child is basically Russian royalty! Do you know how make some people would be willing to pay for her... alive!?" The other man finished.
The boss man smiled a smile of greed. He turned to the doctor. "Its a good thing you haven't cut her open yet... the deals off. I have big plans for this girl."
