Love has many sides

I don't own any rights to anything but this story. Someone very dear to my heart asked if I could write them a story about mermaids. So I decided to write this and see how many people could or would enjoy a story like this one.

Chapter 13

A single new flower showed up on Kims head and her and Tommy looked at each other in horror as they knew that someone who was pure of heart just made a wish to a mermaid and the magic in her was making it come true. Kim was exposed to everyone. As soon as the mom got over her shock she picked up her cell phone to report this. Aisha tried to make a grab for it but missed. When they all looked back at Kim they noticed that someone watching from the top must have noticed becuase now Kim was all tangled up in fish netting and there was people every where bringing her up. She was caught and trapped and they all knew it.

It took Tommy and the gang all of 30 seconds to get over their shock enough to run out of there and get back to the top. All Tommy could think to himself was "please don't let this happen to Kim. If we can't get to her in time who knows what they will do to her."

Kim continued to struggle against the netting but she was so trapped and tangled in it that she could not think clearly enough to get herself out of it. Her rational mind seemed to stop working and she was clearly in survival mode but due to the lack of rational thought she could not formulate a plan to help herself out.

Once Tommy and the group reached the top they were surprised by how many people was around and surrounding the area. Some were people who worked there and others were people who had come to enjoy the sea life and got a better show than what they hoped for. "Tommy we should go somewhere and morph" suggested Tanya "we could save her as the power rangers"

"We can't" argued Jason before Tommy could respond

"I know she said it would hurt her but it might be the only way" Kat agreed with Tanya

"It could kill her" Tommy replied desperately

"We need to try and do something" Adam argueed because at this point they had managed to get Kim out of the water and was trying to put her on a stretcher and wheel her away to some unknown location.

"I will try it and if it gets bad I will unmorph" stated Rocky. Tommy was still argueing the point but when Rocky looked to Jason, Jason nodded.

Rocky ran from the group to a seculded spot nearby and morphed into his power ranger suit. When he started walking back to the manatee area he heard Kim start screaming a very loud horrible and painful scream. It sounded as if someone was being horribly tortured and all of the gang members knew why she was doing it. Rocky was absolutely horrified that he was the cause of it that he ran back to the spot and demorphed so she would be without the pain. Once he was done the screaming stopped.

Tommy was in pure agony watching Kim in pain. When the morphing was done Kim was rendered unconcious from all of it and there for was no longer able to fight against the people who were taking her away for tests. The power rangers had never felt so useless in their lives and they had no idea what to do. But before they knew it Kim was gone. Eventually the excited crowd started to slowly disperse and they all went back to doing what they were doing before all while talking about how they couldn't believe they just saw a mermaid and how they couldn't believe that they were real.

"What are we going to do now?" asked Adam "We need to get her back."

"I know but how can we do that without exposing ourselves and without hurting her" Kat asked in a small voice

"This is all my fault" said Rocky. As soon as he started talking Tommy walked over and punched him in the face. Rocky didn't even try and defend himself against Tommy becaue he felt like he deserved it. He felt defeated and he looked it. Jason quickly came in between the two of them and addressed Tommy. "I gave him the go ahead to morph Tommy. He already feels bad, hell, we all do but turning against each other is not gonna solve anything or fix the problem at hand."

Even though Tommy agreed he still couldn't stop himself from getting mad at Rocky and everyone else who had a hand in the situation. He looked over and noticed a man and a woman approaching them and they did not look happy. The man looked to be around 6 feet tall with brown hair and green eyes, the girl was about five foot 4 inches with long black curly hair and hrown eyes. When they got closer they looked right at the group and the man demanded "What in the hell did you guys do?"

"Excuse me..." Adam started

"Who are you and who are you two to come here and address us like that" demanded Tommy

"I am Noah and this is Tasha. We and some others were here for a reunion with Kim so I repeat, what in the hell did you guys do?"

"I remember Kim talking about the two of you" said Tommy "you are the ones who helped her become who she is."

"That's right" said Tasha coldly "We have had many meetings here or in other SeaWorlds in the US so we want to know what happened this time."

"How do you even know who we are" demanded Jason

"Do you really think that Kimberly would have never talked about you guys to us or show us photographs?" Noah said in a irritated tone.

"WHAT HAPPENED" demanded Tasha again

"I don't know what happened exactly to out her but all I can tell you is the what we saw. Then maybe you guys can fill in the blanks on how she went from invisible to visible to everyone" Tommy said

No one wanted to leave SeaWorld to discuss things in complete privacy but they couldn't stay where they were either. So everyone but Jason met up at a mostly empty cafe and sat down and talked. Jason came a few minutes later after contacting Zordon to see if he could get a lock on Kim's location. Zordon promised to try and locate her and would let him know when they had something.

Tommy had just finished the story of what they saw and Tashs and Noah looked at each other with worried looks. "What is that look for and you had better tell me" demanded Tommy

"She saw you and that is how she became visible to you and the girl. A mermaid will always become visible to their one true love. Most of the time if they are trying to be invisiable the one true love should be the only one to see them but sometimes in rare cases small children can too. It is kind of a talent small kids have but luckly one they grow out of eventually" sighed Tasha. "I am sorry to say this but her love for you put her in danger and she was in the dark about that fact. When that child made her wish even if Kim didn't want to grant it her powers would have anyways. It is not something we can control."

"Why is this not something that she warned us about?" Tommy demanded

"We ourselves were not aware of it. We just found out about it today by one of the elder mermaids." Noah replied "We only have so much time with the elders and that is maybe once a year. Sometimes all people want to do is discuss their water adventures, not discuss something that they are sure they know everything about."

"I see but Kim was with you today. Why didn't she find out from the elders then too? Why did she put herself in that type of danger?" Jason asked

"We were talking after the get together, we were on our way out. Kim had spotted you all and since we had met in the manatee tank all she had to do was go underwater. As soon as we heard what was going on over th e radio of one of the workers here we turned around so that we could try and save her. We were forced down by the power ranger powers. We were rendered useless during that time."

As soon as Rocky lowered his head in shame Noah continued with his tale. "Kim said that Zordon and the team all gave her permission to tell Tasha and I about who you were. We are not even sure if we would have made it there in time, that we could have saved her." Noah put a comforting hand on Rocky's shoulder, "it is not your fault."

"How are we going to save her though?" Tommy asked. He was going crazy wanting to know where Kim was and how she was doing. "I can't stand not knowing where she is at."

Tasha knew how he was probably feeling so she said "we will find her. I don't know how quite yet but all of us won't give up until we do. We are going to save her somehow."

"What if she was to give it up? Could she do that in this situation?" asked Tommy "Kim said it was possible."

With a sigh Tasha answered "It is possible to give it up but I don't think she can in this case. Remember she needs to be of a clear mind in order to be able to and I don't think that in this situation she currently is."

With a sad sigh the team tried to think of a way they could help her without hurting her but they honestly didn't know how without using the power or the teleportation system.

Kim looked around her surroundings. She was still at SeaWorld but under heavy armed guards and security cameras. She heard one of the men say that they were also going to bring in a few soldiers from the national guard in since this was such "an important and rare find that could have huge benefits." They had her in a huge clear tank with a lid on top and some sort of bubbling system at the bottom so that she didn't run out of oxygen. She was scared and depressed and couldn't seem to summon any of her magic so she just laid at the bottom and tried to hope that someone would save her soon.
