Love has many sides

I don't own any rights to anything but this story. Someone very dear to my heart asked if I could write them a story about mermaids. So I decided to write this and see how many people could or would enjoy a story like this one.

Chapter 14

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Kim looked around her surroundings. She was still at SeaWorld but under heavy armed guards and security cameras. She heard one of the men say that they were also going to bring in a few soldiers from the national guard in since this was such "an important and rare find that could have huge benefits." They had her in a huge clear tank with a lid on top and some sort of bubbling system at the bottom so that she didn't run out of oxygen. She was scared and depressed and couldn't seem to summon any of her magic so she just laid at the bottom and tried to hope that someone would save her soon.

Noah and Tasha went straight away to try and catch up with the elders before they left the area so that they could ask their opinion on how to handle the situation and if it was possible for them to help or save Kim on their own. They knew that the elders would not take normal transportation such as a bus, cab, airplanes, or trains so they knew so long as they found them before they hit the water they should be able to get the answers that they needed. The rangers went to the command center so that they could be there when Kimberly's signal is found.

"I think I have something here" Billy replied

"Pull it up on the viewing globe" instructed Zordon

All of the rangers gathered at the viewing globe and was surprised at the sight before them. It didn't occur to some of them that she would be so heavly guarded that soon after being taken. But Tommy's heart broke at the sight on Kim just resting at the bottom of the tank. She was laying on her stomach with her head restling on the left side. She looked sad and defeated. While they were watching they saw two divers open the lid and went inside so that they could take blood from Kim. She didn't even so much as move a finger as they did this and when they finished they got out and closed and locked the lid so that she couldn't escape.

"What the hell" said Jason

"Why is she just letting them do that to her" wondered Adam

"Look at her guys, it looks like she feels depressed and defeated" said Kat sadly

"I wish that none of this would have ever happened" Tanya said. She knew that she had come to the party late as she wasn't there when Kim initally came back but once she got to meet her she liked her instantly. Since her and Kim had got along so well she was asked to come with them today. Tanya was not a ranger but a cousin of Aisha and she was welcomed into the ranger family when she stumbled on to the rangers secret.

"Me too" Aisha agreed

"Look we are not able to just go in morphed and get her and bring her back here. She can not be around us morphed and we can't teleport her anywhere becasue the power from that will affect her too." Tommy said in a frustrated voice

"It sounds like we are at a stand still until we hear back from Tasha and Noah" stated Jason

"But what if we don't hear from them right away? What if it takes them days?" Aisha cried in hysterical voice.

"They are her friends and they will get back to us as soon as they can." Kat said with confidence

"Kat's right. Until we hear from them, we are at a standstill. What I suggest is that someone stay here and keep watch over Kim at all times. We will take turns. I will take first watch" Tommy said

As much as the rangers wanted to go there and burst through the doors and carry Kim out they all knew that at least for the time being, it would be a bad idea. As much as they didn't like it Tanya and the rangers left to go home while Tommy stayed and took the first watch.

"Have you seen them yet Noah" Tasha asked

Noah shook his head no and replied "Maybe they found their way to the water a lot quicker than anticipated. Call Tommy or Jason quick and let them know that we are going to have to find them in the ocean and I don't know how long it will take."

"Okay, will do" Tasha walked away from Noah to make her phone call. Noah just kept thinking about Kim and how horrible this must be for her. Kim enjoyed every aspect of being a mermaid and he just hoped that she could come out of all of this okay both mentally and physically.

The next few days were really long for Kim. She kept thinking and hoping that she would get rescued but as time kept going she was losing all hope. She didn't even move anymore. She stayed at the bottom of the tank staring at the wall.

"Do you think she is gonna make it?" Mark the guard asked

"I'm not sure. Why do you ask?" his buddy wanted to know

"She seems to be turning a greenish color. If she is that important we just can't stand here and watch her die."

Mark's guard buddy looked over his shoulder at Kim and responded with "She looks okay to me. Maybe they are supposed to turn green."

While it did bother Mark he let it go for now. "Yea, maybe" was all he said

Tommy was going out of his mind with worry. In the end they all brought their sleeping bags to the command center so they all could watch out for her. She just looked so lifeless laying in the tank that way and she never moved. This worried everyone and yet all they could do is pray that Noah and Tasha found the elders and got some helpful answers. Tommy could feel that time was running out and he wanted Kim home, safe with him. Everyone found it very frustrating to have all of this technology around and not being able to use it.

The next moring Noah called Tommy's phone to let him know that while they were able to find the elders they only had very limited advice to give. But he let Tommy know that he and Tasha was going to go back to SeaWorld and find her. So long as they stay invisiable than they should have no issues. Tommy agreed and made Mark promise to call him when they were done.

About an hour or so later Noah and Tasha were walking through SeaWorld looking for any building that could be housing Kim. They were about to give up when they did spot it.

"Are you ready Tasha?" Noah asked

"Yea, I think so. If we get caught we will be put in the tank with her so we cannot afford any mistakes" she warned

"I know" Noah simply said "This is a lot more than just about Kim or us. We need to protect all of us and this secret. Let's go"

They were able to get into the building and into the room using their invisiable powers. Because it was in the evening only Mark the security guard was in the room with her as his buddy went to have a quick supper. Instead of going by Kim instantly they just stood by the wall as Mark was crouched down on the outside of the tank where Kimberly laid.

"Come on Miss" Mark was saying "I don't want to see anything bad happen to you and I think in order to keep you healthy you should swim around."

Noah leaned over and whispered to Tasha "I think that maybe he could halp us. What do you think about showing ourselves to him and ask him."

"I don't know, Noah. If he doesn't than he will know that their is at least two other mermaid/merman and they will be on the hunt for us." she whispered back

Noah and Tasha stood there staring at each other, trying to decide what to do next.
