Love has many sides

I don't own any rights to anything but this story. Someone very dear to my heart asked if I could write them a story about mermaids. So I decided to write this and see how many people could or would enjoy a story like this one.

Chapter 15

They were able to get into the building and into the room using their invisiable powers. Because it was in the evening only Mark the security guard was in the room with her as his buddy went to have a quick supper. Instead of going by Kim instantly they just stood by the wall as Mark was crouched down on the outside of the tank where Kimberly laid.

"Come on Miss" Mark was saying "I don't want to see anything bad happen to you and I think in order to keep you healthy you should swim around."

Noah leaned over and whispered to Tasha "I think that maybe he could help us. What do you think about showing ourselves to him and ask him."

"I don't know, Noah. If he doesn't than he will know that their is at least two other mermaid/merman and they will be on the hunt for us." she whispered back

Noah and Tasha stood there staring at each other, trying to decide what to do next.

While Noah and Tasha stood watching the scene before him Noah seemed to get a weak but telepathic message from Kim warning him of all of the security cameras around the room. It seemed so distant and weak that this worried Noah even further but it also confused him about how she was able to communicate that information to him given her situation and how weak she appeared. "Tasha" Noah leaned over to whisper to her "I think that Kim just communicated to me, telling me of the heavy presence of security cameras in this room. We can not show ourselves to this man."

Tasha was getting more and more frustrated with the situation because every time they seemed to have a probable solution, the situation would some how have a new and serious barrior standing in everyones way. "We might be able to trust him but you are right in knowing that we cannot show ourselves because of the harsh consequences in doing so. Their might be another way though." Before Noah could respond to her Tasha walked over and crouched behind Mark and put her hand on his shoulder. "Please don't move or give any indication that you are being talked to right now" Tasha whispered. When Mark didn't respond in any way she continued "I am a friend of hers and I am here to help her. I know of the security cameras in this room so I can not show myself to you right now. We need help getting her out and to safety, we need you. If you can help us please meet us in Angle Grove park tomorrow around noon." With that Tasha got up and walked back over to Noah. A few minutes later another guard came into the room and Noah and Tasha quickly left so that they could get word back to Tommy and the others.

"So is this security guard going to help us" demanded Tommy

It had been a few hours since Noah and Tasha had left Kim and they were just meeting with Tommy and the others in the park so that they could have this discussion with them. "We hope so" replied Tasha

"You hope so?" asked Jason " what exactly did he say to you?"

"He was not able to say anything as we were in the presence of all of those security cameras." Discussed Tasha "He seems like he really wants to help her and I think that I may have a plan."

Noah looked around the group then and decided to address all of them all at once. "I know that you can not do much as the power rangers but perhaps you can mess with the security cameras, if we can get guard to help us get her out we can get her to a car and get her back to the water." Tommy was getting ready to argue with Noah about where to take Kim if they got her out but Noah was ready and stated before Tommy could get a word out "We need to get her to the water Tommy. At this point we really don't know how to help Kim get better and I think we can all agree that she is seriously sick."

Tommy didn't want to hear this truth even if he knew it deep down in his heart. As a mermaid he didn't know how to help her but he wasn't entirely convinced that they knew either.

"How about this" Jason suggested "if you can get her out and she has legs, we help her. If you can get her out and she still has her tail then you help her?"

"No way" said Adam "we help her period."

"We can't" said Billy "either way she needs to be with Noah and Tasha because the world knows about her and she would not be safe. For us the best place would be the hospital and she is too known by now and the command center is completely out of the question"

Everyone just let that settle for a few minutes before Tommy replied "I hate this. I just got her back and what you are telling me is that I can not be a part of this?" Tasha and Noah hated to nod to him but they had to, for this he could not help. "Fine get her out and get her well but I want to be kept informed about how she is doing."

Everyone started gathering their stuff and started walking to their vechiles. Tommy stopped Tasha and simply said "I don't want to lose her" Tasha watched Tommy's face and knew that he spoke the truth and he followed it with "don't let her stay away too long... please" he begged.

Tasha looked at Tommy and replied "I know of your love for her and I will do my absolute best for her. You need to know getting her out might be the only easy part in this as everyone will still know of her. Her being on land will always pose a risk as she could at any point find herself back in this situation just because she wants to say hello to everyone. We are a long way from the ending of this."

Tommy felt his spirit drop as he knew that all of this was correct. They needed a plan. So long as the world knew of a mermaid, the world would keep on searching for her. The problem is that they all knew exactly what she looked like and she would be easily found.

Mark left work for the day still wondering about the mysterious lady who talked with him earlier that day. Should he meet with her? His job right now is to guard the mermaid and the consequences of what he is considering would be great and for what? He of course knew that she was sick and if this woman or mermaid continued to stay where she was, she would die and he knew that too. Where is this fine line? He didn't have the money to face legal trouble but time was running out and no matter what she is the one who suffers the most no matter if she stayed there or not. Should he meet with this woman? At the end of the day he still didn't have an answer to that question.
