Camila's P.O.V.
It's been an hour and I still have NO IDEA what to wear tonight, ugh! Lauren will be here in an hour, AHHHH! I need to pick an outfit! What is it with us girls and indecisiveness anyways? You know what, I blame this on green eyes. I've never had this issue with any other date I've been on, in fact, I'm pretty sure I've never dressed up for a date before. Hmm, maybe, red, yeah red always looks good on me. I grabbed the red dress and put it up against my body.
"Mila, seriously," I looked at my best friend from the mirror in front of me, "just pick one!
I turned around, "what do you think of the red?"
She tilted her head, "hmm, I don't know, it's a little…"
"A little raunchy isn't it?" I perked an eyebrow.
She began to chuckle, "yeah, especially for a first date," she scrunched her nose, she was thinking, "wait, is she picking you up in her motorcycle?"
That's a good question! That would completely change my outfit!
She waved her hand, "wait…does she even know you're at MY house?"
CRAP.
I turned around to meet her gaze, "this is WHY you're my best friend."
"What would you do without me? You'd never survive!" she said flopping down on her bed, tossing a tennis ball in the air.
To Lauren: Are we taking your motorcycle?
Frm Lauren: …yes, and I'm also taking you to McDonalds, so no need to be fancy.
Is she messing with me?
To Lauren: It's not the time to mess with my emotions ::pouts::
Frm Lauren: awww, well no need to pout…we're taking my car.
To Lauren: that was easy ;p
Frm Lauren: yeah well have you seen YOU when you pout, pretty irresistible.
I looked at the text for a few seconds, I could feel the heat rush through my body and out through my cheeks.
"Ohhhh GAAAWWWDDD Mila, you're blushing." Dinah said shaking her head as she tossed the tennis ball from hand to hand.
"SHUT IT!" I stuck my tongue out at her as we both began to chuckle.
To Lauren: :) you're doing that thing again…being all charming
Frm Lauren: ;)
To Lauren: …oooo almost forgot, I'm at Dinah's 356 Everest Lane
Frm Lauren: that's kind of important lol, I'll see you soon beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL! I just died!
I tossed my phone next to Dinah as I grabbed another outfit, a black and white romper, yesss! It's cute, but still sexy and I'll wear my tanned high heels and a black bow-PERFECT.
I spun around as I held the romper against my body, looking at myself in the mirror, "And I said Hey there pretty GREEN eyes .Whatcha doing later tonight? Would you mind if I spend time with YOU?" emphasizing the 'YOU' as I sang, "And I said Hey there pretty GREEN eyes Whatcha doing later tonight? Would you mind if I spend time with YOU?" I poked my lips out, dancing in front of the mirror.
"Yeah, about that…I don't think Cody Simpson would appreciate you changing the lyrics to his song." She nodded wiggling her eyebrows.
"Well, if Cody Simpson EVEERRRR laid his eyes on Lauren's emerald ones," I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear, "I'm sure he'd change the lyrics too!"
"SPRUNG!" she pointed accusingly.
"NOOOO…" she perked an eyebrow at me, "okay, maybe a teeeeeennnny weeeeenny bit."
She was right; I was absolutely SPRUNG.
A few minutes later and Lauren was outside waiting for me, "okay," I turned towards Dinah, "how do I look."
She looked me up and down, "yeah, Ms. Jauregui is gonna have a hard time keep her eyes off of you," she nodded assuredly, "acutally, she's gonna have a hard time keep her HANDS off of you…one more thing…"
"Lipstick." I knew exactly what she was about to say, "RED?" she shot me the DUH look.
I took a deep breath before opening the front door, walking out. My brown orbs quickly locked with emerald ones at the end of the driveway-WOW-she took my breath away, standing in from of her car, a single rose in hand-AWWW-my heart began to flutter. My eyes scanned the brunette a few feet away from me, brown, high-heeled boots, dark blue denim jeans, beige blouse, the front tucked into her jeans-SO SEXY-and a black blazer…GORGEOUS.
Lauren's P.O.V.
She walked out the front door and I was mesmerized. My green eyes looking over the brown-eyed girl approaching me, I could feel my lips pull to my eyes as my heart began to beat a little faster. I was completely dazed by the vision in front of me...STUNNING.
Her lips pulled to her eyes, flashing her pearly whites, "hi," she said so innocently halting in front of me.
"Hi," I leaned in kissing her cheek.
I noticed her cheeks turn a rose color, fitting, "a beautiful rose for a beautiful girl," I handed her the rose.
"Thank you," she said so sweetly, blushing some more before placing her lips on my cheek.
ADORABLE.
I watched her let out a chuckle and it melted my heart, "oh gosh, I already got lipstick on you," she stepped closer, "brushed her thumb on my cheek."
"It's okay," I breathed out, her chocolate orbs glaring into mine, "I don't mine it at all."
She smiled before scrunching her nose, brushing it against mine and my heart wanted to jump out of my chest.
"We better get going," I opened the door to my car for her.
"You're such a chivalrous woman," she let out as she sat in the passenger seat.
"For you…yes." I smiled before shutting the door.
I decided to take her to one of my favorite Italian Bistros, a restaurant in Laguna Beach. They seated us on the patio; the moon shining, the lighting, the night weather and there weren't many people seated outside, it was perfect.
"That was SOOO GOOOOD." She smiled, her brown eyes glossy, reflecting the light.
I looked at her empty plate, "oh really? Yeah I couldn't tell you liked it." I said playfully.
She chuckled, "hmm, so can I ask you something?"
"You can ask me anything," I reached across the table, grazing my fingertips on her hand, my green eyes held still by the younger girl in front of me.
"First impression of me," she laced our fingers, "first time you laid your beautiful green eyes on me," I could feel a smile creeping on my face, "what did you think?"
"Well, you were late," I rolled my eyes teasingly, my thumb rubbing her hand as our fingers remained tangled, "your bow caught my attention, you gotta be pretty confident to pull off a bow," her lips pulled to a half smile, "your eyes," I paused, remember the moment we first locked eyes, "I never thought I'd seen anything more beautiful than your big brown eyes."
Our gazes remained locked on each other. The world around us had disappeared and I was lost in her shimmering brown eyes.
"Lauren?" I snapped out of our moment, my gaze turning their attention to the girl approaching our table.
SHE'S BACK.
I quickly stood up, "Santana," I took a deep breath as I felt brown orbs looking at me and at HER, "it's ahh, good to see you."
Out of ALLLLL the places, just my luck. It's fine…BREATHE.
She leaned in for a hug, "so glad I ran into you," she's STILL hugging me and I can feel brown eyes observing our interaction.
She finally pulled away, "I'm so rude, this is my…" I began to say, not really sure what Camz and I are yet.
"Camila, this is Camila." Camz stood up, shaking Santana's hand.
"Santana, it's nice to meet you."
I could feel my heart racing; this is so FUCKING AWKWARD! At least for me.
"Nice to meet you too." Camila let out before taking her seat.
Santana placed her hand on my arm, giving me a squeeze, "hopefully I'll see you soon," she leaned in for another hug before walking away.
I walked her to Dinah's front door and she was shimmying back and forth; I could tell something was on her mind.
I placed my hands on either side of her waist, closing the little gap between us, "what is it?" I asked, her brown eyes a little dimmer than usual and it was killing me.
She shook her head slightly, "I know it's none of my business," she bit her bottom lip, "and it's probably not my place to askkk-"
I gave her a squeeze, "you can ask me anything."
"Santana," I could feel her body go frigid, "how do you know her?"
SHIT. I knew this questioning was coming.
"She's my ex."
"SHE'S YOUR EX?!" she exclaimed wide-eyed before breaking eye contact.
I cupped her cheek with my right hand, bringing her beautiful eyes back to mine, "hey," I gently rubbed her cheek with my thumb, "you have nothing to worry about," her eyes still filled with concern; I could tell and it prompted me to lean in, placing a lingering kiss on her lips that quivered slightly, "nothing," I breathed onto her lips before she buried her face on the crook of my neck, nodding and I wrapped my arms around her body, holding her tightly.
