~I take the car and drive the night

The white stripes blur and ease my mind

When all that's left is a single line

Instead of this confusion

And I'm not certain of the way it was

And I'm not sure what I could of done

Oh but I wonder if it had been enough

To stop her from leaving

And I realize the only thing I know is

She said, I'm in love with some one else she said

I fell in love with some one else and I

I'm in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure~

Lauren breathed her name aloud for the first time in what seemed like ages, letting the vision of the beautiful, younger brunette that always had her heart sink in. Her emerald orbs being submerged in memories and feelings that had eluded her, or she forced them to, when Camila left. It all came rushing back full force, flooding every inch of her body, shaking her soul as her green eyes locked on bright, chocolate ones.

Camila took a the few steps towards the older brunette, "it's really good to see you," her full, red lips let out so sweetly before they curved into a half smile resembling a half moon, her flickering brown eyes narrowing just slightly at the fair skin beauty.

For a second, Lauren was stuck like taffy, unable to really move. She swallowed the nervousness in her throat, taking a half step forward, her green eyes taking in what she's missed the last few months, making her heart ache and beat faster all at the same time.

How's this even possible? She asked herself as she looked at the girl holding her heart, the one person I love the MOST is the one causing me pain….HOW?

Camila closed whatever gap there was between them, dipping her head a little more to deepen her gaze that was already on green eyes, she lightly bit her bottom lip, not really knowing what to do and what to say because Lauren hadn't said one word since saying her name.

The petite brunette leaned in, throwing her arms around the taller girl, pulling her into a tight embrace, "…Lo," she breathed out barely audible, resting her head on Lauren's shoulder.

The green-eyed girl took in a breathe as her mind began to wander, I didn't know I missed the sound of her voice THIS much, the way she says my name and how it echoes, I didn't know I missed the touch of her skin THIS much…I didn't know. The older brunette closed her eyes, resting her head against a full head of brunette hair, taking in her scent, slowly wrapping her arms around Camila's body, letting herself drown in love.

~I stop the car and close my eyes

I can see her face, but It takes a while

And it feeds it like the morning light

Slow and unfocused, So I go home and

She's sitting on the kitchen chair

Oh a suitcase waiting by the stairs

Oh they're both worn out from all the years

They're ready to let go

And I realize the only thing that's sure is

She said , I'm in love with some one else she said

I fell in love with some one else and I

I'm in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure

She's in love with some one else she said

She fell in love with some one else and that

She's in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure~

***Flashback***

Lauren was alone in the dorm room she shared with another student. Almost everyone had gone home on the extended weekend, but not her. She was a prodigy, ahead in her studies for her age, bound to finish atop of her class and just about ready to take the bar exam.

She looked up at the clock, 11pm, just a couple more hours, she thought to herself as she yawned, then maybe some sleep…maybe. The fair skin brunette was exhausted, but she wanted to get a couple more chapters in before bed, she picked up her phone, looking at the screen, wanting to call her girlfriend that she missed so much, her dark chocolate locks, her full, pinkish lips that pouted whenever she wanted things to go her way, her lashes that batted when her lips pulled to her eyes, her eyes, her bright, beautiful brown eyes that Lauren could make out perfectly, even in memory it made her heart race, she exhaled, it's been weeks and she missed everything about the petite brunette back home, no, it's late, she thought to herself, I'll call her tomorrow. She sighed putting her phone back down, flipping her textbook to the next chapter.

~KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK~

Her eyebrows furrowed, highlighter in her mouth as she looked at the clock, 11:30pm, then towards the door.

WHO THE HECK IS HERE?

She made her way to the door, grabbing the doorknob, pulling it open. Before she knew what exactly was happening, she had a caramel skin girl jumping on her as she held her up with her arms, she was being attacked with kisses all over. Camila came in fast, kind of like a good dream at night, taking over; she jumped on her girlfriend excitedly, peppering her with kisses.

Lauren slowly released the younger girl back down; locking with brown eyes she's missed so much, "Camz…" she breathe out in between her quickened heartbeats, "how did you-"

"I took the train," she said with a smile, pushing Lauren's chocolate locks back, getting a better view.

"The traaaainnnn…" the older girl was overwhelmed with her feelings for the brown-eyed girl, "but you HATE the train," and she began to tear up.

"I do," she agreed, wiping her girlfriend's tears with her thumbs as she cupped her face, "but I love you more," she tiptoed, placing her lips against trembling ones, she could taste a mild hint of salt on them, "babe, you're crying…" Camila playfully pouted, a small smile coming through knowing they were tears of joy.

"I love you Camz," she said through her sniffles.

Camila rubbed her nose against the older girl's, "I love you more," she let out.

"Not possible," the green-eyed girl simply replied before placing her lips on the younger girl's.

***End of Flashback***

They all sat around on the couches, almost in a circle in order to converse with each other, "so," Normani held a wine glass in her hand, "I know it's kind of silly, having a sleepover at my age for my birthday," everyone began to giggle, "I just wanted quality time with my best friends," they all 'awwww' in unison, "thank you guys," she threw her arm around Lauren who was seated next to her, "I love you all," they all cheered.

They all went around in the circle, talking about what they've been doing, what's new, basically catching up, "well you know, just the same old," she mildly smiled, her green eyes catching brown ones intensely on her, making her heart pump a bit faster before breaking contact.

"Noooo…." Normani nudge her best friend, "tell them," she gestured towards the other girls with a smile.

Lauren took a sip of her wine, "I uhh…" she looked at her glass before looking up at everyone else, her eyes locking with narrowed brown ones, "I'm leaving the firm," she nodded with a subtle smile, all eyes wide, in complete shock, "I'm starting my own firm from the ground up," Camila broke eye contact, leaning back on her seat, taking a sip of her wine, "I want ten percent of the my cases to be pro bono, maybe more and this way, I'll have more time…for the more important things in life," she let out a light chuckle, almost hating herself for doing what she's doing NOW…about a year too late.

The girls had gone through about a bottle of wine each, giggling, reminiscing, Lauren and Camila stealing glances at each other every now and then.

"Okay, okay…" Normani pulled out another question card from the deck as she took another sip of wine, "Dinah, this one's for you," she perked an eyebrow, "craziest place you've everrrr done IT?" they all began to laugh.

"Ahhhh," she held a pillow against her chest as she began to chuckle, "freshman year of college, the library on campus."

Everyone began to laugh in disbelief as Dinah placed the pillow on her face, "I knooooowwww! Ahhhh!" She laughed, "okay, okay," she calmed everyone down, "who's next…Mila!" she pulled a question card from the bottom of the deck, "how many times have you been in love?" Dinah kind of trailed off at the last part of the question, almost knowing the question was about to open a can of worms.

All eyes on Camila, more importantly a pair of emerald orbs wanting to know her answer, but at the same time scared to hear it, "twice," she simply stated taking another sip of her wine.

TWICE, the word echoed through Lauren, shattering her heart into a million pieces, she's in love with someone else.

"It's late, we should all sleep," Normani let out as all the girls got up.

~And I'm on my knees

And I'm on my knees

And I'm on my knees

And I'm on my knees

Yes and I realize the only thing I know is

She said , I'm in love with some one else she said

I fell in love with some one else and I

I'm in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure

She's in love with some one else she said

She fell in love with some one else and that

She's in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure

I fell in love with some one else and I

I'm in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure

She's in love with some one else she said

She fell in love with some one else and that

She's in love with some one and that's all that I know for sure~

It was well past midnight and Lauren couldn't sleep, SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE, was all that consumed her mind, eating away at her heart. She found herself in the back yard, lying down on the grass, her green eyes gazing at the stars, trying to fight the tears that wanted to pour out of her emerald eyes.

"Lauren," a soft voice prompted her to slowly get up on her feet, "it's late," the younger brunette stepped towards her, "its cold…what are you doing out here?" the petite brunette began to rub her arms up and down, trying to warm her up, "Lo…" her brown eyes, somewhat flickering with the moon light, meeting dark green ones, "can you say something…please," she continued to rub her arms.

Lauren's expression was somewhat defeated, her green eyes softening with a hint of glimmer in them as she raised her hand to tuck a few stray hairs behind Camila's ear, a subtle smile appearing on her face, "I miss the sound of your voice," she confessed looking deeply into brown eyes, "I miss the rush of your skin," she took the back of her fingers, running it down the younger girl's exposed tan arm, "I miss THIS," she cupped her cheek as the brown eyed girl leaned into her hand, "you breathing out, me breathing in, pulling at my heart so strongly, it's the only thing I can feel," she breathed out as tears began to form in her eyes, "and I HATE myself for letting you go, for letting THIS happen," she choked out as brown eyes began to water at her words, "everything was such a blur that night, so confusing and I'm not certain of the way it was," she wiped Camila's tears with her hand, "and I'm not sure what I could've done, it doesn't even matter because it's too late," she let out a puff of air, almost cursing herself in a way, "sometimes I wonder if I should've laid in front of your car," she chuckled looking into teary brown eyes through her own glossy ones, "maybe that would've been enough…enough to make you stay," she choked on the last words, "…and I'm so unsure about everything, me, my decisions, my future, this life and it all doesn't matter because all I know and the only thing that I'm sure of is you fell in love with someone else," she dropped to her knees, tears flowing from her eyes as she grabbed onto her shirt as if trying to pry her heart out, TWICE, YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE, the thought bringing on the hurt that slowly engulfed her entirely.
