Petey Piranha flew all across the various Mario Kart race tracks, delivering popcorn to everyone everywhere as they gained a lot of good will from the people who admired the popcorn, gobbling it up with relative ease.
"Energy is rising from all this delicious popcorn this mutated plant is giving us!" A Chargin Chuck electrician explained to another at a power plant near the Toad Harbor.
The popcorn was not only giving people joy and full stomachs, it was also being used to fuel certain energy sources, with the Sunshine Airport being able to add it as additional fuel for its many planes taking off.
"Ey, I'm liking all this popcorn!" Clawgrip exclaimed as he was taking a vacation at the Dolphin Shoals, enjoying the popcorn that was washing in from the northern direction due to Petey flying that way.
"Yes! Oh, how I love all this popcorn!" Tryclyde stated with all three of his faces as he was slithering through the dusty Bone Dry Dunes, munching on the popcorn that fell through the dust invested sky using his heads.
Later on, Petey came back to his popcorn parlor in Seaside Hill, with a bunch of Piranha Plants cleaning up the joint due to it being closed for the day.
"Hey Petey, why did you take off today?" One of the Piranha Plants asked out of curiosity after cleaning out a popcorn tank full of cheddar.
Petey chuckled as he posed while holding up his polka dot red underwear. "Oh, it's just me giving back to the community in a big way." He then decided to take a dive into one of the overstuffed popcorn containers, with the other plans looking at each other in confusion and shrugging.
