Chapter 2
Optimus POV
It was a usual day for the Autobots, well for Optimus it was anyway! Ironhide was testing out his newest cannons, Ratchet was throwing wrenches at people who disturbed him or getting injured (anyone who has a spark!)
And here he was in his office looking at the reports Prowl had made for him to review, this never really bothered the Prime; what did bother him was that there were three large stacks full. Yep just another day, or so he thought.
Ever since Optimus had awoken this orn, he had a strange nauseous feeling deep within his spark. It was very unsettling! He felt the need to leave and let his spark find whatever it as searching for, but he is a Prime; leaving on a hectic day such as this day would become an issue. Not to mention the hassle and paper work Prowl would set on him.
:Ratchet to Optimus:
The sudden comm link from the Autobots Chief Medic broke Optimus's thoughts.
:Optimus here Ratchet. What can I do for you?:
A grumpy sigh came through before the medic spoke. :Autobot scouts reported strange activity in the old energon mine involving some Decepticons:
Optimus's spark jumped when 'old energon mine' was spoken, it seemed for some odd reason his spark wanted to go there; and it wanted to go right now!
:Very well. I will see to it right now Ratchet:
:I will comm Jazz and Ironhide to assist you. Safe travel Optimus! Until all are one:

Breaking the comm link, Optimus quickly left his office and walked over to the exit and met up with his third in charge and weapon specialist.
"Prime. Good to see you out of the office for a change!" Laughed his comrade Ironhide.
"It is pleasant to have a few moments free Ironhide. How are you and Prowl Jazz?"
Jazz chuckled tiredly before speaking to his boss. "Were doing pretty good boss man! Little Rhythm loves keeping his carrier and creator up all night."
"Yeah, I went that with Bumblebee. It can be tiring and makes the calmest of bots irritable like a Decepticon." The thought of his adopted youngling keeping him up because he was a big bot, made the Prime chuckle at the memories.
"If that's for calm mechs, I feel sorry for anybot who goes near Hatchet. Apparently his twin sparklings enjoy torturing their creator!"
"Alright Autobots, roll out."
All three Autobots transformed into their chosen method of transport. Ironhide suddenly became a choral black GMC Topkick C4500 pickup truck, while Jazz went a more snazzy way to drive. Jazz flipped on his back and turned into a silver Pontiac Solstice GXP. Next was the mighty leader, Optimus transformed into a blue Peterbilt Truck with red flames on his sides.
The old energon mine was just under an hour journey from the Autobot base, Primus forgive the Decepticons making more trouble or even hunting other Autobots. The mere thought made him shudder!
There it was again! The pull on his spark was getting harder and more desperate; it was a strange sensation to the Prime and made his curiosity grow. Optimus has never experienced a pull like this before, sure it made a guardian bond with Bumblebee a long time ago; but this one was different. It felt like another part of him was calling him and begging to find it, whatever it was!
:Energon mine closing in, ETA three minutes. Autobots, remember to keep an optic out for any strange activities:
:Or those punkass Decepticons: Ironhide grumbled harshly.
Once the energon mine was in sight, the three Autobots transformed and brought their weapons out and circled the perimeter. Through it didn't take long to ensure the mine was empty, as usual!
:All clear Optimus:
:Nothing detected Prime. What exactly is so important to find that Ratchet threated to weld my aft to the ceiling if I didn't join the expedition?:
Optimus checked the mine once more before sighing and replying to Ironhide and Jazz. :Unclear Autobots. We can only keep searching and wait for anything unusual to occur:
Three hours later
Frustrated. That is what Optimus Prime was feeling right now. It had been over three hours since his team and himself arrived on the mine and there was absolutely nothing there! It certainly wasn't helping with his spark still pulling him in. If anything it was getting stronger! When finally, a bright blue light from the sky caught the mechs optics. The swirling blue fire came rapidly into the old energon mine.
"Autobots! Take cover!"
Optimus, Ironhide and Jazz quickly changed into their motors and drove rapidly behind a giant bolder.
BOOM!
The impact made all around shake and rumble, causing one of the largest mechs to his knee plates.
"Are you both alright?"
"Just peachy."
The three mechs slowly peeked out of the bolder and began to creep over to the….. Pod? Strange. Where did a pod come from? Usually pods were used for mechs and femmes to escape their own planet and to another. So where could this pod come from?
The hatch of the pod creaked open and a strange mist appeared and covered the area, it wasn't suffocating; it was actually pleasant. Like a new baby smell you get at the maternity centre at the hospital!
Optimus slowly crept towards to the now opened pod.
:Be careful Optimus…. It could be a sabotage: Commed Ironhide.
When Optimus was just hovering over the pod, a small whimper caught the Primes audio receptors. No. It couldn't be. It's a…..
"Sparking"
"What did ya say boss?" Jazz questioned Optimus.
"It would appear Primus himself has sent us a new little member for the Autobots"
A pair of little (but big) blue/white optics stared up at him, when he thought it was going to whimper again; oddly it started it giggle. How peculiar.
"By the All spark…. It is a sparkling!"
"Yea! Well a tini squishy one" Jazz pointed out they chuckled slightly.
Ironhide peered down at the little squishy sparkling and cocked his head in confusion. "I believe this species is called a HUM-AN. But they come from the planet known from Earth."
This time Jazz walked to the pod and cooed the little sparkling. "Earth? Wow. She's a long way from home."
"How do you know it's a femme?"
"When you have a sparking of your own, you just know. No matter what species."
The little femme stared at Ironhide before stretching her arms as far as she could, reaching for the tall black mech. After a slight hesitation, Ironhide reached down and plucked the sparkling from the pod; ensuring the pillow she was laying on was still underneath her.
"Would you look at that….HAHA! Looks like you made a friend Hide!"
"…..Frag off….." Ironhide grumbled to the smaller laughing mech beside him, without making too much noise to frighten her. She began to coo and giggle at the new mech carrying her.
"Indeed Ironhide. She seems to take a liking to you."
"As well as you Prime, you can't stop staring at her. Do you know who she is?"
Curse him knowing me so well!
Optimus thought before answering him. "From the connection she has been giving off, she is part Cybertronian and part human. A new little Prime."
"So…. She's yours?" Jazz questioned again. Ironhide growled lightly hearing this.
"No Jazz. She is my little sister; she knows this too. I can feel her spark reaching out to me as an older sibling."
Ironhide gasped quietly, still looking at the little Prime. "Oh slag. She's trying to make a parent/guardian bond with me. What should we do?"
"Accept the bond Ironhide. For she has chosen you to raise her."
Ironhide ripped his gaze from the sparkling to Optimus. "Optimus… I don't know. I'm a fighter not a lover! And yet… I can't help but want her as my own."
Jazz retreated slightly to give the mechs the space to bond with the little Prime. "I'll comm Ratchet and the others".
"Does she have a name Prime? We can't keep calling her 'Little Prime'"
"Lucinda. Lucinda Prime. Welcome to our world little one."
