Chapter 5
Lucinda's POV
Rhythm was still holding me when we entered a large sized (to me!) room where I saw a large desk at the front and Cybertronian sparkling sized tables and chairs scattered around the room.
There was already some other bots there, either talking to each other or playing with some toys around the what looked like a play area. The larger bot (who must be the teacher) noticed us and walked over. He was slightly smaller than my Daddy and brighter too! He was a light blue bot with green stipes around his arms and legs.
"Hello there young one. You must Miss Lucinda Prime, Ironhide's sparkling?" He had a calm voice and a nice smile, perfect for looking after younglings.
"Yes sir"
He then knelt down to our level.
"Why. What a polite sparkling! I see you're already friends with young Rhythm."
"We met this morning sir. Our daddies work together."
"Ah yes. The Autobots."
"Yes sir." Rhythm finally spoke, I guess he's shy at school too!
"Well then, I can ensure that you will look after our new student?"
Rhythm looked down at me before smiling gently then nodding at the teacher.
"Wonderful. If you need anything Lucinda do not hesitate to ask. I'm Holequake should you ask for assistance."
"Thank you Mr Holequake."
Mr Holequake smiled again before walking to his desk and looking through some data pads. This is when Rhythm walked over to a table and set me down on the desk. A friend from Daddy's work made lots of amazing things I can use for school in my size! And they can fit in my backpack with a switch on a button.
I pulled two little boxes out and pressed the buttons before putting them in front of me, they suddenly transformed into a brown and gold writing desk with a matching desk chair. I giggled in excitement; it's my first day with other bots my age! Of course I'm happy!
"Are you alright Lucinda?" Rhythm said to me, I looked up before smiling and nodding happily.
"Yes Rhythm! I can't believe I'm actually here! I never thought I would ever come to a school and get a real education like other bots."
Rhythm chuckled slightly before hearing his name and turned towards the door where two matching boys walked in.
"Hey Rhythm! What's going on?"
The bot who spoked had blazing blue optics and was all red and even had wheels on his feet. Wow!
"Nothing Sides. Just looking after my new friend." Rhythm nodded towards me at my desk.
The bot known as Sides looked down before smiling and brought his finger down to my level.
"Nice to meet ya! Any friend of Rhythm is a friend of mine." He looked pretty friendly, and if he was friends with Rhythm then I guess I can trust him. I shook his finger and smiled then introduced myself.
"Hello Sides. My name is Lucinda." Sides laughed at this, thinking I said something wrong I looked down in embarrassment. Why was he laughing? Did I say something wrong? Maybe I introduced myself wrong? But that's how Daddy and Optimus say I should introduce myself….
"Knock it off Sides. You're upsetting her."
I looked up again, but this time I saw Sides as well as a golden bot next to him. But the gold mechling had his arms crossed and didn't smile like Sides. Or look happy either!
Sides stopped laughing and looked down at me down rubbing his neck sheepishly then speaking again.
"Oh sorry Lucy! I didn't mean to upset ya. It's just…. I think you're kinda cute. And it made me laugh cause you said it so friendly."
"Oh. Okay, sorry."
"Why are you sorry? Being friendly is a good thing! Our Sire says we need to be friendlier all the time!"
They have the same Sire? Oh! They must be the twins Rhythm told me about!
The golden bot shook his head slightly before looking back at me. He has the same bright blue optics like Sides and yet…. They were kinda glowing. They were beautiful!
I must have been staring because a chuckle shook me out of goldens optics. How embarrassing…. Optimus said that staring was rude and impolite.
"Looks like you got an admirer Sunny!"
Sunny growled at sides before yelling at Sides.
"Don't call me that!" He looked back to me then nodding back to his twin.
"My name is Sunstreaker, NOT Sunny. This is my stupid twin Sideswipe."
Sunstreaker… Pretty name.
"Did I say that out loud?"
"Yes. Yes you did" Rhythm whispered down to me. Not again!
"Well…. Thanks." Sunstreaker blushed and looked away. Blushing? Maybe he's not used to compliments?
Mr Holequake clapped his hands together, getting everybot's attention.
"Now everyone! First lesson is Art. Gather into your groups and continue your art designs."
Everyone got up and mixed around finding their partners, except for Sunstreaker who moved to the top corner of the room on his own. II didn't notice Rhythm hadn't moved until he spoke to me.
"Would you like to work with me and my group? I'm sure they wouldn't mind another member to the team."
He's so considerate! Aww!
"Thank you Rhythm. But I'll be alright on my own."
He hesitated at first, but then spoke and left.
"Very well. I'll meet you afterwards."
I then gathered all my art supplies from my backpack then again let them grow. They were a bit smaller than the Cybertronian sized portrait, but still bigger than me. This way I show everyone what I can do!
Let's do this!
15 minutes later
I was about half way through my art piece, I decided to paint the school and me and my new friends outside it. It was looking pretty nice! I was about to paint in the twins in when I heard a hard chuckle.
"Hey would you look at that. The little bug thinks it can fit in."
I looked up to see a mechling with purple and black colouring with…. Red optics? I've never seen a bot with red optics before.
"…..Hello?"
I'm not sure why I felt so intimidated by him; but he had this aura that made me shiver slightly.
"Did you make this?"
I silently nodded
"It's really pretty…."
Hmm…. Maybe he's a nice bot? Daddy and Optimus always say to never judge a bot by its colouring.
"….It would be a shame if something happened to it."
The mechling suddenly stomped on my picture, as well as all my colouring supplies the Autobots got for me.
All that was left was a mixed colour puddle on the giant desk…..
"OOPS! So sorry about that!" He laughed then walked over to a group of younglings (His group I guess?)
Sunstreaker's POV
Ah finally….. Some peace and quiet.
Sire and most bots always said I should socialise with others more, but why would I do that? Most bots my age are either mean, stupid or just plain annoying!
I'd rather just be on my own and paint!
Art is the only thing that can calm me down when I get frustrated with others (Sideswipe…..) I feel relaxed and just let the whole room drift away….. To the pit for all I care. I know I shouldn't cuss, but then others shouldn't annoy me….
But of course it never lasts for long.
From the other side of the room I can hear the stupid Thundercraker's cackle (wouldn't call it a laugh!) Ugh…. He's the worst bots in the class. He always picks on other bots who are not cruel or mean! So basically everyone in the class! Well except for his friend Skywarp and me and Sides. It's only because he knows that we'll get him back. I and my twin are the pranksters of the school and proud of it.
I looked over at him to see he was laughing at the new girl. Lucy wasn't it? He trashed her desk full of paint and supplies she brought in.
That…. That!
How could he do that to her! To a little femme of all! Sire said to respect and to never hit/attack a femme. We'll see how long that'll last for…..
I was about to give him a piece of my processor, when he walked back to his own group. Lucky Punk!
I walked over to Lucy when she sniffled quietly while trying to pick her 'supplies' up.
"Are you okay?"
She looked up to me with her bright blue/green optics and gently smiled
"I'm fine thank you. It was an accident."
A what?
"An accident?! Lucy, that jerk stomped on all your work then laughed and walked away! He did this on purpose to upset you!"
Lucy looked down slightly before wiping her wet optics
"My big brother said that we should give everybot a second chance, I'm sure he won't do it again!
How can she be so chipper when her work and supplies are wrecked? Hmm… she's really something alright.
"Well…. How about I help clean this up, then you can come over to my desk?"
"I don't want to be any trouble!"
She's so innocent. Cute….. Wait what?
"It's no trouble. And I wanna help."
"Thank you Sunstreaker" She beamed up at me; I could get used to that smile!
Lucinda's POV
Lunch Time
After cleaning up my supplies, Sunstreaker took me over to his desk and showed me how he paints. He's amazing! He's so elegant and free when he paints; but I don't think he's used to complaints about his art work because he blushed again and continued.
After Art we had Mathematics, and I got to sit and work with Sunstreaker, Rhythm and Sideswipe! I really enjoyed working with other bots and learning new mathematic codes too.
Now we were just finishing our afternoon energon at a lunch table in the cafeteria when Sideswipe spoke up.
"So will you be staying here Lucy?"
I was getting used to being called Lucy by my new friends, I kinda felt like I fit in with them; not an outcast.
"Yep! Daddy said if I liked today and my teacher was okay with it, then next week I can stay all day like you guys!"
"I'm glad I have a friend to drive with" Rhythm said.
"Having you around is pretty cool." Sunstreaker replied next.
"Thank you guys. Next time I'll bring the energon goodies though."
The twins brought some energon goodies for a snack, It was the first time I had ever had them…. It was sooooo yummy!
"Fair deal femme!"
"Lucinda!"
We turned around to see Holequake walking up to our table.
"Lucinda. Your Sire is here to pick you up."
"Okay! I'll see you guys next week?"
"Bye Lucy" They all called out before I climbed into Mr Holequake's palm and let him take me to Daddy. I can't wait to tell him about my day!
Sideswipes POV
"Who's her Sire?
Rhythm looked back to us and said "Ironhide. He works with the Autobots."
Ironhide! THE Ironhide?! No way!
"Woah. Cool!" I and Sunstreaker said.
I think we made a new best friend!
