Hey guys another chapter is here and I wish to apologize for it taking so long.
Sarah: What were you doing in that time anyway?
Author: I was catching up on Tokyo Ghoul and Bleach. And playing metal gear rising revengance. A bit too much now that I think of it as there is a rip off of a scene in this chapter.
Sarah: *sigh* well at least you're honest about it. Most people wouldn't be.
Author: That I already know. So to the readers, a huge fucking thank you for the 1.5k+ views so far it means a lot to me that so many people are reading this story.
Sarah: What do you expect? A prize?
Author: That's just cold and uncalled for. No I don't, what I wish for is some honest opinions on this. Where do I fuck up in your opinion? To short chapters? Not enough detail in it? I need to know these things to advance. So any criticism is welcome and even flames with a reason as to why you hate the story even though you clicked on the story so you're held responsible for your own actions. Anyway I think we've talked long enough so I'll leave you all to the story.
I awoke to see the roof of the infirmary. The white marble ceiling almost blinding me as I opened my eyes, forcing me to close them again in slight pain before I slowly opened them again letting them get used to the brightness of the room before I looked around and saw the unexpected. The room was almost empty except there was a bed on the wall directly opposite me. It stood five inches off the floor before I finally saw who was in it. The typhlosion was in it resting with its eyes clenched close with its small fangs showing. I silently began to sit up feeling pain erupt from my stomach making me remember what happened. I ignored the pain as best I could and began to force myself to my feet making me grunt and inhale sharply as the pain continued to grow.
Finally I was sitting up holding my stomach tightly with my left hand before I used whatever energy I could to swing my legs off the bed and stand up. As soon as I was upright I had to use my right hand to steady myself as a wave of light-headedness began as I stood up to my full height. I managed to make my way forwards towards the typhlosion before I saw it flinch in its sleep. (That isn't an ordinary nightmare.) I thought to myself before I heard another voice in my mind (That you are correct on. It was purposefully caused. I can help you but only for something in return.) The voice naturally disturbed me as I began to slowly increase the pace I was hobbling over to the typhlosion. Eventually I reached its bedside seeing it flinch more violently.
(it seems to be reacting to either my aura or my presence and is confusing it as the one that caused this.) I thought only to hear the other voice again. (Then help it. Make it realise that you are an ally. You can convince them easier by helping them personally rather than trying to help them in general.) I nodded silently before I pushed aside the pain and put my hands on its forehead and its stomach before I began to speak aloud in hopes of curing it. "Vatu'um nargathrol mitralak sitanam miracuse lokieth nametreg helamora nitorag." I said before closing my eyes feeling power flow through me again and making my face twist in peace as a peaceful smile made its way onto my face before I entered the typhlosion's dream or nightmare seeing as its past unfold before my eyes.
It being abandoned as a cyndaquil, being captured by an abusive trainer and the beatings that it had to endure; The time she was inducted into a group only to be betrayed in the end; Finding out its parents were killed by poachers making her resent human life. Finally its induction into the hall of origin; before I fell into its dream-scape; its surroundings were of a burning forest with it at the centre. But surrounding it were human poachers all laughing in sync. Using this as an opportunity I used the element of surprise to my advantage before rushing one of the poachers seeing them turn towards me as one with shock spreading across their face before I felt fire begin to swirl around me. I paid it no mind using it as an extra weapon against the poachers throwing a multitude of different blows staggering them but never defeating them.
Finally after a few minutes of this I felt the fire meld with my skin. Turning it from the white to a light ember orange; I saw their faces reflect both shock and horror as I stepped back to be standing over the typhlosion seeing it out of the corner of my eye stare at me in mild fear but mostly shock. I chanced a glance at it before I nodded slowly before I felt a stinging pain erupt from my left arm. I turned to look to see that one of the poachers had stabbed my left arm with his bowie knife. I felt the cold metal moving slightly just barely missing the bone and a vital artery. I began to glare at the man seeing him smile triumphantly before I grabbed the knife and kept a straight face as I yanked it out of my skin feeling even more pain erupt from my arm.
"That was my throwing hand you bastard. I'll enjoy this." I said with a sinister smile making its way onto my face accompanied with a maniacal laugh escaping my lips as I sprang into action tearing into the poacher's throat. His crimson blood spraying everywhere as I continuously clawed at his throat letting out a guttural growl as I ended his small gurgles of pain with a swift punch to his forehead. I stood up slowly with my hands balled into fists watching them seeing them begin to step back as I looked towards the typhlosion seeing it standing but backing away as I looked at it. I sighed and knelt down before seeing the fire dimming slightly. "I never meant to scare you, I hope that you will remember none of this when you wake. But if you do, then I will have to make you forget it. I can't have nightmares plaguing our side if we are going to be doing what we need to do in quests."
My voice made the typhlosion stare at me scared before realising my voice as it stood up and began to walk towards me as the view around us disintegrated into nothing replacing it with a hut in the wilderness, I saw the trees filled with flying types and the ground was full of poochyena and a few mightyena. "This is where I used to think about when I needed to feel safe or happy after something had happened. It always seemed to calm me down. I guess I should thank you, that nightmare has haunted me for years. So thank you, even though I don't really trust humans in general but yeah, thanks." She said as I smiled softly making me smile at her and nod in approval before I left her mind back into reality.
My eyes snapped open as pain became apparent making me stumble around before resting slightly bent over with my hair beginning to dangle over the sides of my face making me smile through the pain. "He should be awake by now and, oh, he already is up and about." I heard Sara say from the doorway making me turn to look at her seeing her in an anthro form, her tails were slimmer and smaller while being wrapped around her legs and waist. She was wearing a pure golden yellow kimono with a small bit of fur tied back into a ponytail to look like hair. I made my way towards her limping seeing her face immediately turn into shock before she rushed over to me.
I felt myself begin to get lightheaded and my body began to sway side to side making Sara clasp a hold on my shoulders with a vice grip making me stop swaying and focus on regaining my balance. "You shouldn't be moving if you still feel pain. I can help you move back to your bed." Sara said with her voice full of concern making me nod gently at her and smile as she helped me retain my balance back to the bed. "Thank you Sara." I said with a small but traditional bow in her direction making her blush faintly and return the gesture. "Leone are you alright?" I heard Chains ask from the doorway drawing my attention to her seeing her in her human form seeing her eyes begin to well up with tears before she walked over to me and embraced me.
I happily accepted the embrace my hands resting on her back and the back of her head. I slowly stroked her back soothingly as I felt her begin to shake lightly in my arms making me sigh quietly as I let her break down on my shoulder as I held her gently letting her grip me tighter and begin to let out audible sobs as she broke down on my shoulder. I continued to gently rub her back before I whispered soothingly to her. "It's ok, I'm fine, don't worry about it ok, I'm fine, it's ok." I continually repeated into her ear before I stopped rubbing her back and replaced it with a grip that matched Chains own. I smiled softly as she managed to eventually calm down before I began to release my grip on her.
I eventually was staring into her eyes making me smile at her gently seeing a small blush appear on her cheeks before she cupped my hands in her own. "Leone I know about what happened. I'm so sorry for what happened." I heard Chains say making me stare at her again. I saw only concern and sorrow in her eyes making me pull her back into a gentle embrace. "I'm fine Chains, don't worry about it." I said making her shiver slightly. "Leone, I'm not stupid, you are hurt. Please, don't try to be a tough guy, not when you really need help." Chains said making me look down at her my expression faltering into a blank expression. "Chains if I try to be normal it wouldn't work. Don't try to make me be normal. It won't work."
Chains pulled back to stare at my expression seeing her eyes widen before I saw a figure enter the room and begin walking towards me. "Leone I'm sorry for what happened. I don't expect instant forgiveness but I just don't want you to hate me for what I did." I heard Rachel say as she reached the bedside making me look at the floor. "Ok Chains, I'll be my normal." I said making me smirk at what was going to happen. "Leone?" I heard Sara ask as I began to laugh lightly. "I think it's time to glide through the night and reap the sinners. Let the ghost free and it will reap." I murmured before feeling the familiar blood lust enter my mind making my vision turn blood red as I began to stand up.
Chains tried to stop me only to end up failing and being thrown across the room to rest over near the typhlosion who was still asleep. "Leone?" Sara asked again making me laugh coldly as I looked up straight into Sara's eyes seeing them be filled with fear as I turned my gaze to Rachel seeing her in her anthro form. The very sight ignited the rage inside of me as I let out another cold laugh before I began to walk towards her slowly with her retreating keeping the same distance between us. (Did you have this form of yourself all this time "ghost"?) I heard the voice say again making me smile sadistically as my hands clenched into fists. "Leone?" Rachel asked with fear evident in her voice making me smile wider.
"He is still here, but he is being his normal, his nature." I heard Sara say making me sigh happily as I reached into my back pocket and pulled out my CRKT Persian folder before I unfolded the blade and stabbed myself in the stomach with the blade feeling no pain making me laugh hysterically at the fact before I closed my eyes. (Let me feel this pain who or whatever you are. This must happen.) I thought before waiting for a few seconds before incredible excruciating pain hit me like a truck making me stagger for a second before I focused on the pain. "This is how I beat those twelve others. By being the killer I was born to be." I said my voice becoming more demonic in pitch.
I tightened my grip around the blade in my stomach before I snapped my eyes open before I began to grunt in pain as I slowly began pulling the blade out before I yelled through gritted teeth as I yanked the blade out my blood spraying with it in the arc I made the blade travel at a speed that rivalled sound itself. I began to laugh wickedly as I began to look between Rachel and Sara calming down to a slow maniacal chuckle. "Who's next on my list?" I asked them still looking between them feeling Rachel's fear with Sarah's calmness unnerved me slightly. "Leone what is going on? Tell me please." I heard Rachel say making my gaze snap to her and stare deep into her eyes.
"Ghost is free again." I laughed out making Rachel widen her eyes in fear as I began to close in the distance before I began to laugh maniacally as I began to slowly increase my pace until I was in her face I made a wicked smirk appear on my face before I snapped my right hand up to clasp firmly around her throat before I began to add pressure seeing her eyes contort in both fear and pain as I tightened my grip hearing Rachel begin to give off shallow gasps as I began making her ability to breathe harder. I began to smile manically as I continued to tighten my grip on her throat hearing her continue to gasp as she still tried to pry my hands from her throat.
I began to laugh lightly still keeping my smile as the door opened again with Arceus standing in the doorway. She saw the scene happening in front of her before I felt an invisible force throw me off of Rachel and be flown backwards into the wall before slumping down it to rest finally with my head against my chest. "Leone stop this." I heard Arceus say before I smirked and lifted my head slowly before I began to get to my feet. "For too long I have been denied my purpose of life. I won't be denied now. Not after what happened." I said letting Arceus walk closer as I began to feel my strength returning to me in the form of adrenaline as she began to raise her hands eventually resting them against my shoulders.
"Leone you need to stop, this isn't you anymore. You don't need to revert to this state of mind again. Please just calm down. I can explain what happened." She said before I sighed quietly before feeling my blood lust fade into the darkness of my mind before I felt the exhaustion of what I had just done crash into me with the force of a jet liner as I began clasp my hands around the wound on my stomach before applying pressure. I felt my body becoming heavier to keep in a sitting up position as I felt my spine give out and making me slide sideways until I was on my side on the floor. I also began to feel my eyelids becoming heavy as my hearing became distorted, eventually I let them fall closed as I slipped into unconsciousness.
I awoke some days later. The pain in my stomach having returned and nearly making me cry out in pain at the feeling. I eventually managed to calm down as the pain subsided into a dull throbbing sensation. I felt my head begin to spin as I began to try and sit up only to end up grunting in pain as my stomach flared up again. I grunted again as I laid down again staring at the ceiling waiting for the pain to die down enough to stand up and move around. I didn't get the proper chance to do that because the door opened and Dylan stepped in with a roll of parchment in his hands. "You're awake. I need to give this to you. I never saw what happened personally but I know that something like this would hit you hard. I'm sorry." His words made my blood run cold as I slowly took the parchment from him before I began to unroll it seeing a familiar text as it read.
Dear Leone or Matthew.
I know that what this letter contains will be hard on you especially with what has happened so far during your time in the hall but I need to get this out of the way quickly. I need to explain myself or else I won't forgive myself and you wouldn't forgive me either. The things I need to explain are difficult to put it on paper but I'll try my best. I remembered when you were here last time. You were very much like you were last time, always making sure everything went well and peace was maintained. I can only hope that what I put down next you can forgive me for. When you were in here last time, we, I was infatuated with your past self. And I'm sorry to say that it has carried on to you now as well.
I know that I shouldn't feel this way as of the common relationship of liege and champion but I couldn't stop myself. It kept getting harder after realizing who you were and all that we did together back then. I knew that I wouldn't eventually be able to control myself so I had to make a choice. I'm sorry Matthew but you are needed in the meeting room for a court martial, you will be given your old life back with all memories of this place erased from your mind as we can't risk it. I'm sorry Matthew Charles Sanders but your champion status is being stripped from you and you are to be court marshalled immediately after you read this letter. Again I apologize severely and I wish it didn't have to be like this.
Your former liege: Rachel.
I stared at the parchment blankly for a few seconds before I sighed quietly and began to sit up before I put my head in my hands and began to weep silently. I eventually got a hold of myself and sighed as I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up and began to limp towards the door. The parchment still tightly held in my hand. I made it to the door before heading out into the marble hallway with my head slightly lowered as I let the letter sink in. (A court martial? Surely that can't be right. I haven't done anything wrong at all to deserve something that big. And my memories erased wouldn't be too bad because I can understand that. I'll say goodbye to Chains and I'll leave. I won't have the time to say goodbye to everyone else.)
My thoughts finished as I looked up to the door leading into my living quarters. Sighing I opened the door seeing Chains on the bed with a small wet patch around her head. I sighed as I walked over to the bed and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey Chains are you awake?" I asked making her stir before she opened her eyes. As they landed on me she let out a quick gasp before she leapt up and wrapped her arms around my neck as her head rested on my left shoulder. "Is it true?" She whispered into my ear as I sighed and held onto her gently. "Yes Chains it is, I am leaving her permanently. If you ever get tasked back into Black City, be sure to stop by and say hello. Even if I don't remember you I will like to get to know you again."
My words made her only cling tighter to me as I sighed and gripped her tighter my eyes closing as we stayed in that position for a while. I eventually opened my eyes to gently pull Chains away from me slightly to look into her eyes. "I hope we meet again Chains." I said making Chains smile and lightly punch my arm before she gripped them. "Could you come up with anything cheesier than that?" She asked with a light laugh as I smiled. "I can think of a few things." I replied as chains punched me again in the arm laughing slightly. "Oh shut up. But I hope we meet again as well." She said making me smile as I gently planted a kiss on her cheek making her eyes widen in surprise.
"Remember the fun things Chains, not the bad. It will hurt less. I know, I guess I'll see you back in the city." I said as I disconnected from her grip and left the room before resuming towards the meeting room hearing nothing but the sounds of my own boots thumping on the marble floor and my light breaths as I walked. I eventually came to the meeting room before I opened the doors seeing Rachel was absent from the room with the rest of the legendary Pokémon present. "I'm sorry about this Matthew." Arceus said as she took her spot in the room as I stood still before I put my hands behind my back. "Don't worry about it Arceus. It was going to happen eventually, let's get this over with."
My words were firm but failed to fully hide the sadness in my voice. I straightened my look before Arceus began. "Matthew Charles Sanders; you are being court marshalled for Assaulting your former liege and Champion; such acts are treasonous and are heavy crimes in the hall. Does the one held accountable for these crimes of treason have anything to say?" Arceus said as I felt Moltress' eyes digging into my own as I finally sighed and spoke. "Only one request, I request that I keep the MP3 player given to me. I would need this if something like this were to happen. But other than that I have nothing else to say. Proceed." I said as Arceus nodded.
"The legendary Pokémon will vote on your fate. You will be forced to remain here in this room until your fate has been decided." She said as the legendary Pokémon all rose and left the room. As the door closed behind me I walked over to a wall and leant against it. My heart beating faster than I thought possible as I sighed again and sank down to the floor, my knees up to my chest as I buried my face into my hands. (This is it then.) I thought sadly as the door opened and the legendary Pokémon filed in again with somewhat happy looks on their faces. I sighed as I mustered whatever heartlessness I had left and I stood up and walked into the middle of the room with all of them looking down on me as Arceus spoke up.
"Your fate has been decided. You are to return to Black city for three months as punishment. It begins tomorrow, so if you have anyone you haven't said your goodbye's to. Do it now." She said as I nodded and without a word I left the room. I made it to my room where I saw Chains sitting up on the bed facing away from the door. I looked at the sight before seeing a small puddle of red appearing from under the bed. I felt fear fill me as I ran in to stop at the other side of the bed as I saw that Chains had somehow managed to get my CRKT Persian folder knife and had used it to stab herself in the stomach with it. I felt my eyes tear up as I looked at the sight.
I quickly yanked the blade out of her stomach and threw it across the room. "Matt?" I heard Chains ask, her voice faint and raspy. "Chains what made you do this?" I asked her seeing her smile lightly. "I knew you'd have to leave, so I'm resigning as well." She wheezed as I began to let tears fall down my cheeks as I softly gripped her head. "Chains please don't leave me like this." I said weakly my hands moving to put pressure on her wound before she smiled at me. "Remember the good, not the bad." She said as she put her hands on top of mine adding her own pressure. "Chains save your strength. I need you alive. Doesn't fucking die on me yet." I said as I heard someone else gasp in the doorway.
Darting my eyes up I saw it was Arceus herself in her human form. "Help her." I said as I put more pressure on the wound hearing Chains hiss in pain before she began to go into shock. Seeing this I quickly removed my less blood covered hand and tapped her face. "Hey Chains stay with me, come on stay with me here now come on. You can do this." I said as she gasped before I saw a few tears leaving her eyes. I looked up to see Arceus still in the doorway. "Help her." I said again, my voice becoming desperate as I saw Chains begin to go into shock again. "I can help her, but why do you want me to help her?" I heard Arceus ask me as I continually tapped Chains to keep her awake.
"I want you to help her because I told her I was leaving and she thought that this was a reasonable reaction. Please help her, I'm begging you, help her." I said seeing Chains' eyes begin to close. "Move aside then." Arceus said as I nodded and moved to the side before looking at the blood covering my hands. I was soon blinded slightly as a moderate golden glow surrounded Chains and Arceus. I waited with bated breath as the wound began to close on the outside. I also saw Arceus begin to strain to maintain the healing aura. I sighed as I put my hand on Arceus' shoulder feeling the golden glow surround me as well. "Use as much of my energy as you need I won't need it today."
Arceus nodded before I felt my energy begin to leave me as I saw Arceus relax slightly as Chains' eyes opened fully again before regaining their focus. I smiled slightly before the aura dispersed and Arceus leaned on me for support. "Take it easy Arceus. I'll help you to your room. Just tell me where to go and I'll go. It's the least I could do after what you just did." I said as I helped her to the doorway. "Right." I heard Arceus sigh out as I turned and began walking down the corridor. Eventually I reached another two way corridor. "Right and keep going until the end." She said as I nodded and began moving in that direction. I made it to the door before I slowly opened the door.
I smiled lightly as I felt Arceus move from my shoulder to see her lean on the wall before she pushed herself stumbling to the bed before she fell asleep as soon as she hit the pillows on her bed. I sighed lightly as I turned and left the room closing the door quietly behind me. I looked down the hall to see the rest of the legendary Pokémon walking towards me. I sighed as I began walking back towards my living quarters passing most of them without convenience until I felt a hand clasp my shoulder and a scaled fist collide with the back of my head. I stumbled forward holding the back of my head from the blow before I turned around to see a man with a golden mask stare at me with fists raised.
And so ends Chapter eleven. I know that I never update but when I get burned out I need time to recover my inspiration so I do it by doing other stories. Pain and Scaring is one example and A new start with old Faces is another. I hope that this counts as a chapter for you guys and I hope that this is enough to satisfy you until the next chapter comes out. So until then I hope this satisfies you all. Until next time my loyal readers, I'll see you all in the next chapter.
