Chapter 7
Sideswipe's POV
Three days later
"Are you sure you only want to invite two sparkling from school to your celebration?" Our Sire Ratchet asked us as we were walking up to the school.
"We're sure Sire."
"Yeh, at least it's one more than last year."
Me and Sunstreaker aren't picking with choosing friends, we just have a difference in opinion in who we hang out with. But at the end of the day, we both like Rhythm and now we both really like Lucy!
"Sigh"
"Very well. Don't forget to give them the invites, and ask to give it back for tomorrow. Remember the celebration is Saturday."
"Yes Sire" Sunstreaker and I say together.
"Off you go. I'll pick the two of you up when you're finished."
Just as we were walking away, Sire wacked our helms together. Hard.
"And for the love of Primus, do NOT get into trouble this week or no celebration! I don't need another call while at work complaining about the two of you!"
Rubbing our helms we walked into school and our classroom and waited for Rhythm and Lucy to show up.
It was about another couple of clicks until both Rhythm and Lucy walked in.
"Hey guys!"
This is when they both noticed us and Rhythm brought himself and Lucy to our group table, easy to fit the four of us.
"Hello Sideswipe, Sunstreaker."
I could see my twin smiling gently at her before greeting both our friends. Sunny isn't a very…..emotional kinda mech and likes to be pretty into himself. Especially femmes.
Him and Lucy seems to get on pretty well (For Sunny anyway) and I hope he doesn't mess it up! Sunny can tend to snap at anybot at any time, and trust me he's done a fair share of snapping at me and Rhythm.
Not that I'd ever tell him that of course….. Or maybe when I want something….
Sunstreaker's POV
I could see Sides smirking next to me when I saw Lucy and Rhythm. (Mostly Lucy)
So what I've got a femme friend, no big deal!
Wait… I meant a femme who is my friend! Not my femme-friend!
Ugh…. We're wayyyy too young to start courting anyway! Whatever…..
"So you two got any plans this Saturday?" Sides asked.
"Not that I know of?"
"No? Oh wait! Is it that time of vorn already?"
"You bet! And of course as our friends, you guys are invited"
"Really?" I couldn't tell is she sounded excited or nervous about being invited.
"That is….. If you would like to." I mumbled out to her.
"I would be delighted to attend your celebration mechs."
Even with friends she's still so formal and polite!
"Sweet! Rhythm?"
"Of course, I'll come too."
So we invited two to our celebration and….. Those two are coming. We're pretty popular!
Lucinda's POV
"Alright class! Let's begin Physical Education" Mr Holequake announced to the class.
Oh Dear…..
"Get into your pairs everyone"
Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Rhythm looks down to me, looking sad?
"Aww man! Sorry Lucy but we already have partners."
The twins are paired together (apparently they refused to work apart) and Rhythm is working with a mech called Smokescreen.
"It's fine guys really. I'm sure Mr Holequake as assigned me to somebot. Go on, I'll meet you after class."
The looked at each other and hesitantly walked towards the door. Rhythm told me in 'PE' we go to the gym in school.
I raised my hand up to get Mr Holequake attention; I was about to call him when someone walked over to me.
"Umm… Hi"
I looked over and to see that mech who ruined my art supplies.
Thunder was it?
"Hello" I said quietly, hoping not to relive another episode with him.
"Listen, I'm uh…. Sorry about last week and calling you those names. It uh won't happen again."
"Oh. Well thank you."
"I've already told Holequake it was me who messed you stuff up. So I'll be paying for a new set for ya."
"That's very kind. Thank you, I appreciate it."
"So uh. If you want to yell at me or want me to uh do anything. Then I will."
I didn't miss him looking over my shoulder at the end of his sentence, I looked over and saw the twins glaring at him. I guess they had something to do with this!
"I'll see ya around then."
"Actually! There is something you could do for me."
"Yeh?"
"Well could you maybe be my…. Partner?"
"Partner?"
"Well just because every other bot has a partner for Physical Education, and I haven't. I also noticed you have wings. You're a flyer correct?"
"Well yeh I am. Why?"
"I've always been fascinated by the way of flyer bots! I would love to learn more about you."
"Really? That's it? So if I'm your partner….. We're even?"
"Yes" I smiled at him. He looked slightly shocked but then started to smile back before offering his palm to me.
"Okay then. Shall we partner?"
"We shall partner. I feel awful for asking this, but I don't know your name."
"Oh right! My designation is Thundercracker. And what is yours?"
"I'm Lucinda. But…. My friends call my Lucy." I then sit in his palm and let him take me to the door to follow everyone else to the gym.
"Well Lucy. You may call me Thunder."
Like Optimus always says, never judge a bot by his colouring!
Lunch Time
In Physical Education, I learnt a lot about Thundercracker and his ways with flying. He even promised he would take me flying one time!
He was very kind one you get to know him! He's family and most of his friends have been raised as 'Decepticons'
I've rarely heard that word. But from what Daddy sometimes say, their bad bots.
Thundercracker isn't like that though! He won't become a bad bot!
Right?
Right now I was sat with Thundercracker and his trine friend Skywarp, just finished our lunch.
"So you both live together? Even though you're not related?"
"Yep. Most flyer bots live with their trine mates. It's kinda like living with family." Skywarp answered.
"We become very close and have our trine bond. This makes us family." Thundercracker said next.
They both talk about their way of life with such passion! It's amazing!
"Hey Lucy!"
I felt both Thundercracker and Skywarp tense when I was being called. Skywarp quickly picked me up his leg and held me close to his chest, almost protecting me in a way?
The twins and Rhythm walked over to us, but they also tensed when they saw who I was talking with.
"Hello everyone. How are the three of you?"
"Umm Lucy…. Why are you with these guys?" Sideswipe questioned me.
"Well…. I was just getting to know Thundercracker and then he introduced me to Skywarp. We were just talking. Is there something wrong with that?"
"Yeh Autobots…. Is there something wrong with that?" Thundercracker asked my friends.
"Lucy, its better if you get away from these cons. They might try to turn you into them!" Sunstreaker told me.
Cons? Turn me into them?
"Cons? That's a good one Goldy!"
"Maybe she actually wants to hang out with us. We like having her as a friend!"
"FRIEND?!"
The twins and Rhythm yelled out to us.
Before a war started, I spoke up two the fliers.
"Maybe its best if I went with them."
"What? You don't have to do what they say if you don't want to."
"Yeh Lucy, it's your choice not theirs."
Skywarp held me a little tighter.
"It's alright guys. How about I meet up with you both tomorrow?"
"Well if that's what you want. How about after school we go flying?"
"Wow! I'll ask my father tonight and comm you afterwards."
"Sure thing."
Skywarp looked calmer but not completely happy with me leaving them.
"Alright now hand her over." Sunstreaker said while putting his palm out for me to climb into.
I looked up to the trine brothers, I smiled to them and waved before jumping into Sunstreaker's palm.
"Goodbye Mechs!"
"See ya tomorrow Lucy" They both called back to me.
"Common bots, let's get out of here."
Maybe one day they can all get along. I really don't want to choose between my friends!

We have two new additions to Lucinda's friend list. Just so you know, these two characters will play a big part in Lucinda's life as she grows.
