Levi - Wisdom
The female ones were always the worst. They hunted humanity with the fury of thunder, vicious and almost cunning behind their dead, empty eyes.
And this bitch was intelligent to boot.
This wouldn't be easy.
As the Female Titan charged the rear of their six-man formation, Levi did not look back. Looking back would mean watching the death of one of his men. Poor man had been dispatched to his grave, following Mike's orders, who was following Erwin's. The commander himself was waiting up ahead at the ambush site, waiting patiently to set their plan in action.
For now, all they had to do was reach them.
Levi took a breath and warned the others to draw their blades and be on their guard.
It was quick. A short scream and then it was over, and then the heavy footfalls of a charging giant. "Go! Now!"
He heard the goliath crashing through the trees, drawing closer and closer to his squad.
There are eleven great Olympians and two among them are gods of war.
He knew this. He did not understand when he was younger, but now he regarded it as one of the most valued lessons from his childhood.
Crashing footsteps, then Jaeger' cry of alarm as something shattered—a tree?—behind them, and then the titan was right on their tail. His comrades began shouting all at once, demanding orders, demanding to fight, panicking, fear running rampant through all of them. Chaos. Levi risked glancing back to see what had terrified them so and found a fourteen meter titaness giving chase. His stomach turned at the sight of her, the excitement in her brilliant blue eyes, and the unsettling grin across her face. This one had purpose. This one was madness.
It was almost enough to give in to his comrades' panic.
Continue on this path. Trust in your commander.
He turned away. Face forward. Reach the ambush. That's all that mattered. Even if they lost a hundred good men, the success of this mission would ensure their sacrifices were not in vain.
"Captain!"
"We need your orders, sir!"
"We have to attack! That thing is dangerous!"
He closed his eyes.
There are eleven great Olympians and two among them are gods of war.
One is Athena, who is wisdom and strategy. It is her voice of reason and calm that whispers to soldiers on the battlefield.
The other is Ares, who is madness and bloodlust. The uncontrolled warrior who brings with him fear and panic and drowns the voice of his wise sister.
When Ares finds a place in battle, even the greatest of strategies crumble and destruction reigns.
His eyes opened and his hand found the handle of his flare gun.
So, do I heed Athena's wisdom or the madness of Ares?
There was only one answer.
"Everyone, cover your ears!"

Author's Notes: Before anyone says anything about the wrong number of Olympians mentioned in this venture, remember Poseidon is the God of the Sea. He does not exist in the Titan world because those within the Walls have all but forgotten the ocean and therefore have forgotten Poseidon.
I wrote this one all in one go, which is an interesting experience for me. This never happens.
