Chapter 39: The Surprises Don't Cease
Two days had passed, ever since Lucy saved the world from experiencing Thorn's darkness and destruction. She had become twice as famous than when she was just a mage in the guild of Sabertooth, and the blonde mage had also told the story of the battle to many people. It had become a pretty hyped topic around Fiore, some rumors even going as far as to say that Lucy's white light had revived everyone who was killed by Thorn's shadowy waves of dark energy in her final attack, but at least Lucy got to live through the real story about what had happened.
The blonde mage's great success had brought in many more jobs for the Sabertooth guild, much to Sting's liking, and it was only natural that she let the magazines give credit to her friends as well. After all, Lucy would've had her body taken over by Thorn while the black-haired demon would have ruled the world. However, Sting and the others had thankfully found a way to fight against Thorn while also healing up Lucy. She could never have been able to win without their help, so her friends did need credit where it was due.
However, a few mysteries had been uncovered because of Thorn's battle with Lucy. Several places filled with treasure had been popping up across the world, and the sights of destruction in that battle of darkness had even let some people know that some unpopular towns had actually existed. There was even a place known as Pallet Town, a little town with only four houses in it, and it was also a pretty quiet place. However, people had been coming there from the city of Tokiwa because they heard a false rumor that a character named Blue had been in Fiore when he wasn't in their town. He was supposedly Lucy's fan, but she had not even heard of him.
Right now, Lucy and Sting had gone back to the Laverre Ruins because of a rumor saying how the lightning had struck this place to destroy it. The rumor had definitely turned out to be true, but only for the backside of the entrance to the ruins. This side of the ruins had not been explored by Sting or any other members of the group when they came here last time because of a recommendation from Darcy to improve the Heavenly Body Magic, and Lucy looked a bit cautious when she went around to this side of the ruins with Sting.
There had been broken parts of the wall on this side of the ruins, giving an indication that the lightning was strong enough to break through the ruins, and the back entrance had been revealed. Lucy still had caution in her cocoa brown eyes, not knowing what could possibly be waiting for her and Sting in what would possibly be a secret chamber, and the blonde girl seemed a bit scared while hoping that there would not be any scary monsters in there. If the front side had stars that floated around while reflecting attacks that hit them, then what could possibly be on the other side?
Sting quickly entered into this secret room of the Laverre Ruins with Lucy, ready to use White Dragon's Holy Breath on any monsters or thieves that might be in here, but the white dragon slayer looked utterly surprised to find no enemies of any kind in here. There were no floating stars in the air, either, but the blond male narrowed his blue eyes at the sight of a white treasure chest sitting in the middle of the room. It was surprisingly small, not large to hold a lot of money that a rich demon could possibly have, but Sting still kept his guard up. After all, if these ruins belonged to a demon, who knows if Valerie hadn't set any traps?
Lucy told Sting in a kind manner, smiling happily while she began to have an idea, "Maybe we should try and attack the area around the treasure chest, since using an unusual plan helped us get to the floor of the ruins from the front entrance. Besides, that chest could probably be a trap set by someone to make us think that there is actually treasure in it. They could have already ran off with all of the loot, Sting, so we should just try to leave it alone. I really would hate for us to be hyped up over treasure, only to suffer from a major letdown like that."
He responded in a calm manner, smirking with his eyes closed while sniffing the air deeply, "It actually smells like white chocolate in here, as opposed to Valerie being more of a person who used perfume that smelled like cherry blossoms, and that's obviously not from someone eating candy in here. We should just open the treasure chest, Lucy. If there's nothing in it, that would definitely be a major bummer. Still, it never hurts to try. After all, that treasure chest could just be made from magic to hide something else. The item-switching trap is used mostly with hunters when they don't want things to be found, so let's blow it up."
Before Lucy could debate more with her boyfriend about whether or not they should open the white treasure chest, Sting used his White Dragon's Roar to attack the small object. He unleashed a white laser beam from his mouth, sending it towards the treasure chest with full power included, and a large white blast of light began to occur! Sting and Lucy both covered their eyes while the light from the impact was making it too bright for either of them to see anything right now, but the light quickly faded away to reveal the most shocking sight to the two mages from the guild of Sabertooth.
The white treasure chest was still in the same place from before, not even having a single mark of damage on it, and the item simply stood there while Lucy could sense its magic from her white spell book. The magic seemed to be highly defensive against all kinds of attacks, possibly even resistant to a punch from the mighty Laxus Dreyar, and it could only be opened with a strong spell. Judging by how Sting's spell had definitely shown off far more power than ever before, Lucy could tell that it had to be strong enough to at least leave a mark somewhere.
After all, even the strongest thing always had a weak spot. Lucy and Sting had only observed the treasure chest from a frontal view, but how was it doing in the back? That large blast had not been concentrated into only one point, and its power had to have made a mark somewhere. As Sting was about to use Holy Nova on the floor, his enhanced hearing picked up a faint cracking sound from the treasure chest. The strange item began to crack more from all sides, mostly because of Sting's light breaking through it in little fragments, and it suddenly broke apart to reveal a larger golden treasure chest.
Sting cheered in happiness at the fact that his theory about someone being here before they arrived was correct, and they had indeed tried to cover up the giant treasure chest with a ruse to keep people from stealing what they had found. The treasure actually belonged to the ruins, but was it really bad to be thieving from a thief who tried to commit a theft from the ruins? Sting had ran over to the treasure chest, picking it up easily with only one hand, and he carried it out of the ruins to bring it into the sunlight.
Since Lucy and Sting had now found the treasure chest, they only had to wonder about what was inside it. Even though something looked shiny and golden on the inside, there could be a nasty demon inside that chest. There could be tons of loot inside of the chest, which would make Sting and his girlfriend become more wealthy than ever before, and Sting had even thought of buying his own mansion with the money. However, it could just be an empty chest with nothing inside of it. Wow, now wouldn't that be a way to troll a treasure hunter so hard?
"All right, Sting. Lector said that we could now have a battle with the spells of Light Angel Magic, right? Well, here's an idea. If I win, I'll open it up and see what's inside. However, you can do that if you end up winning against me. In this battle, only spells of Light Angel Magic will be used from both sides. It's only fair because you did think up all the spells in that moment before I used two of them against Thorn, Sting, so are you feeling okay with this fun little bet?" Lucy asked and explained in a happy manner, smiling with confidence while she was ready to test out all of her new powers.
He replied in an arrogant manner, looking totally ready to win with a charming look in his beautiful blue eyes, "Well, you've got yourself a deal. I hope that you can figure out how to use at least four of those new spells in your book. I had to think of things that would stop Thorn, so don't judge me if anything seems weak. She did lose to my holy light, after all, so I guess that Fiore's best dragon slayer is going to be a match for Fiore's newest master sorceress. That is, unless those other types of magic put their hands into this."
Meanwhile, at Fairy Tail...
Natsu still could not get over how he had been the main cause of so much chaos that ensued in the guild of Fairy Tail, the trigger that pretty much started all of the hate that had come his way, and knowing that he had secretly told Thorn about the weaknesses of people like Gray and Erza was also something that went through his mind right now. Overall, he could not feel more guilty about what he had done. He was the cause of Lucy being sad on that day when he kicked her off the team, and that pretty much caused a chain of events to follow.
Natsu was the main cause for Lucy having a broken heart, having chosen Lisanna over her, and the fact that he made Lucy feel sad had pretty much opened up a way for Karen to see if the blonde mage could be the wielder of the book that had seven seals on it. She had even gone all the way to Castelia to be with Sting, the guy who was Natsu's rival from the very first time that they met, and Natsu could not believe how stupid he had been to put himself before other people. He hadn't even been thinking about Lucy must've felt, until Lisanna and the others kicked him out of their group.
The fire dragon slayer still needed to give Lisanna a proper apology for how he acted towards her, using her as a tool to make Lucy jealous, and he had no right to control who she could be friends with. He was way too stubborn to see how much of a jerk he had been, losing his girlfriend because of how stupid he had been, and Natsu should have just went along with her deal to throw challenges while she not show everyone how much a pervert he was. Since that deal had been broken, the pink-haired male definitely got a bad rep for that. Lisanna had really hated him for not wanting to earn her trust back, and she was glad that he suffered in the end.
However, his karma from both incidents came on the fourth day of the Grand Magic Games. Natsu looked pretty depressed to know that a dark world could have been created, and it was all because of him. He was the one who caused Thorn to actually be revived, since he had slapped the book and the perfume bottle out of Lucy's hands, and any villain like Natsu should've known that a black aura possessing Lucy was not a good sign at all. When Thorn was unleashed, she had gotten revenge for Lucy by nearly killing Natsu. Sting was the only reason that he was alive right now, but Natsu would never thank him for that.
He had been sitting down on a bar stool right now, drinking hot chocolate because Thorn's shadows had supplied the guild with so many boxes of it, and Natsu had drank from the large cup quickly like Thorn would. He was still remembering her, still seeing himself as a total fool for letting himself get infatuated with her beauty and fake niceness, but there would be no way to convince Lisanna that he was over her. She probably still thought that he was stupidly in love with the woman who possibly would've killed him, but what could Natsu do to make up with his ex? Mira noticed his sadness while she wiped a beer mug, and decided to pry about it.
"Natsu, why do you look so glum? What's bothering you? Lucy saved the entire world from the darkness of Thorn, so why are you still upset?" Mirajane asked the fire dragon slayer, after seeing him put his head down on the counter and groan in a disappointed-sounding tone while he did indeed look gloomy and down.
"Listen, Mira.. Don't tell Gray or anyone else, but I feel like crying right now. I was so stupid to kick Lucy off my team when she did nothing to deserve that, and I really regret the fact that I was so idiotic to choose my pride over Lisanna. I guess that thinking Lucy was weaker than me had been my main mistake from the very start, and my ego caused me to have a conflict with Lisanna. It all erupted to a high point in the Grand Magic Games, and that's where I truly knew that my karma was coming to bite me hard in the ass. Thorn should've just killed me back then, or maybe I can find Ultear and make her take me back to that day." Natsu explained in a regretful tone, as he felt like punching himself in the face for technically causing all of this to happen.
Mira told him with a smile on her face while speaking in a comforting tone to cheer him up, "We all get manipulated sometimes, you know. It's true that we don't realize it, and we do feel bad when we come to know that we were just someone's pawns in their disgusting game of chess, but it's really hurting the manipulator in the end. Lucy killed Thorn, so she got karma for all the people she hurt and all the demons that she killed to use their power for her own personal gain. You did do some bad things, but you know what I think? You assisted Sting in helping Lucy grow as a person because you pushed her to do so well against you, and helping someone grow stronger is definitely a good thing that can be done. Lisanna will trust you again, but don't try in any way to make it about yourself."
From hearing Mira speak those kind words to him, Natsu could only grin with confidence while he planned to give himself some practice for the apology. He started it off aloud to Mira by saying that he was so sorry for being such a huge jerk, the biggest disgrace in the whole country of Fiore, and he would change his ways from this point on to be with his sweet love once again. The fire dragon slayer told the white-haired mage in a pleading manner about how he missed her beauty, her nice personality, and how she looked sexy while fighting alongside him on jobs. He even addressed her as Lisanna, to prove his point.
As the entire guild had heard Natsu's loud apology to Lisanna, the white-haired mage could only look shocked at how Natsu had finally made a decent apology for her. She had heard every word of his simple and flattering apology, something that Natsu could probably never even sound like, and Lisanna really wondered if he truly was trying to gain her trust again. If this was his best attempt, then it had actually worked. Lisanna's shocked look began to turn into a soft smile of acceptance, happy about Natsu finally realizing all of his errors, and she was also happy that Lucy had forgiven him two days ago.
While the reconciliation between them would soon result in Natsu going over to Lisanna's table to kiss her lips as a sign of wanting her back so badly, let's just say that one person was not feeling the love today. Mira wanted to take Lisanna and Natsu out on a date soon to celebrate the fact that they were together again, but she could not leave the bar unattended. Cana had not been available for jobs, ever since two days ago, and she had always seemed really depressed about something. Mira didn't know what was going on with the brown-haired girl, since she would not even tell her, and she simply decided to leave Levy in charge of the bar with Gajeel at her side while she took Natsu and Lisanna out to a good restaurant for them to have a nice romantic date.
Elsewhere, in a grassy field...
In order to decide who would open the treasure chest, Sting and Lucy had decided to have a battle to see who would get to open it. Neither of them had any idea about what could be in the treasure chest, making it even more risky to be opened, and both of the mages hoped that there would not be some kind of nasty monster in the chest. They were going to also test out the other spells of Light Angel Magic, since Lucy had only gotten to use two of them in her fated battle against her dark ancestor.
They had decided to battle in a grassy field near the Laverre Ruins, feeling a gentle breeze blow through the area, and Lucy was excited to finally face Sting with some fair conditions. Since the spells of Light Angel Magic had been created by him, the white dragon slayer was able to use them as well. Lucy's book may not have been able to give her any advantages in a battle like this, but the blonde girl really hoped that her spell book would not allow the other types of magic to have their hands in this fight. It's quite interesting how she hoped that the book would play fair when it had a tendency to do what it wanted, right?
Sting had let Lucy know that he would not be going easy on, especially since they were both now using the same element, and he started things off with a spell known as Holy Radiance. This spell caused white light to shine down on the grassy field, making Lucy have curiosity in her cocoa brown eyes about what this move could do, and Lucy suddenly found herself having to run away from many large beams of white light that came down towards her at a fast pace. Many large blasts of white light had transpired, blinding Lucy's eyes for a moment, but the light faded away quickly.
The power of that spell was enough to make large craters appear in the ground, but it didn't look like the light had any other effects. Since Sting's White Dragon Slayer Magic was not able to be molded easily, he couldn't exactly get a little too creative. Lucy smiled confidently while she saw this as her chance to attack now, and the third spell in her white book was known as Light Angel's Holy Hands. This spell worked in a similar manner to Thorn's spell that was known as Shadow Snatch, only it caused Lucy to create many small hands of white light in midair.
They all headed straight towards Sting, possibly wanting to grab him, but the blond male smirked confidently while he had known that the next spell could easily counter this one. It was known as White Dragon's Holy Drills, and this spell had given Sting the ability to shoot white drill-shaped projectiles from his ten fingertips. When they came into contact with the white hands, Lucy looked surprised to see them immediately explode into large blasts of white light! That caused Sting's drills of light to grow in size, absorbing all the light from the blasts, and they probably had much more power now.
As the large drills of light headed towards Lucy, moving at high speeds in curved trajectories while they tried to hone in on her, the white spell book suddenly began to glow again. This had tended to only happen when a new spell had been written, but Lucy had not imagined up anything to use right now. Taking a risk, she used the fifth spell of Light Angel Magic. It was known as Light Angel's White Refraction, and this spell caused Lucy to fire a white beam of light from her right hand. It moved in a zigzag manner to touch all the drills of white light, forming a chain line of some kind, and something interesting began to happen.
Sting's drills had begun to merge themselves with Lucy's spell, increasing its power to be twenty times greater than normal, and the white dragon slayer looked like he was at a loss for words. This is not how he had created the spell to work, wanting it to only move in a zigzag manner to confuse foes, and the white book was most likely starting to have a mind of its own again. Lucy had a surprised look on her face, noticing that spell to work in a similar manner to Electric Curve, and she was even more surprised when her large beam of white light hit Sting directly.
An extremely large blast of white light had transpired, making Lucy cover her eyes while she could hear Sting scream in pain, and the blonde girl looked really worried about her boyfriend. She did not mean for the spell to have the abilities of another spell infused into it, and the book was clearly trying to give her its best way of actually using the spell. The color-changing book could tell how a spell would work when it was under the control of somebody else, and it had sometimes given Lucy a creative way on how to use a move to its full potential.
The white light quickly faded away to reveal that the blue-eyed male was still on his feet, smirking arrogantly while he knew very well that durability was one of the specialties of being a dragon slayer, but Sting did look like he had taken some damage from that surprising move. Judging by the fact that the book tended to have a mind of its own, Sting honestly had to wonder if he was fighting two opponents instead of one. Lucy's spells did tend to have a wide variety of tricks up their sleeves, and this definitely let Sting know that he had to unleash a creative move as well.
He narrowed his charming blue eyes, planning to win the battle with this move, and it was known as White Dragon's Rave. The name seemed a bit odd, especially since raves were parties that happened quite late at night, but the effect of the spell would certainly go with what happened at a rave. It caused Sting to unleash a copious amount of white arrow-beams of light from his hands, similar to Holy Ray, but these beams could ricochet off of the air like it was a solid substance. The beams could also bounce off of the ground to strike opponents as well, but Sting had no way of manipulating them all to strike their targets.
Looking intent on winning this friendly battle, Lucy looked at the white words in her spell book to see what the seventh spell of Light Angel Magic would be. It was known as Luminous Spring, and the fact that the words for this spell were glowing had only given Lucy a sign to use it now. She activated the spell, and it simply caused a white orb to be in her right hand. The book had given her a clear mental image of this spell, telling her to throw the orb down on the ground, and the blonde mage did as instructed.
She threw the orb down hard, wondering if it would break, but it surprisingly sprang up high into heavens. Lucy looked utterly confused from seeing that happen, hoping that the book was not trying to troll her in any way, but the white orb of light had acted like a magnet to make Sting's beams head straight up into the sky! They began to go into the orb, fusing with it like they had been attracted to it, and the white orb came back down quickly with more speed and power being gained from its descent.
When it hit the ground in front of Sting's feet, many white blasts of light transpired while a thick layer of white smoke filled the area. Lucy looked utterly shocked at how the blasts were now larger than last time, sensing that they had nearly enough power to rival Thorn's shadowy wave of death, and she even saw the blasts leaving behind some white energy waves that simply went past her to explode elsewhere. Lucy did not know that a fraction of Thorn's power still resided in the book, and it was simply the shadows being converted to light for this one spell to help it out.
Sting told her in a calm manner while the smoke cleared up, as the white light faded away quickly once again, "Well, it looks like that battle ended in a tie. Thanks for giving me some light to eat, Lucy. It didn't reduce the impact of your blows at all, but now its starting to heal me up. I could've used my new moves, but that book of yours still continues to be quite crazy. Seriously, I wonder if it even knows that Thorn was killed."
Lucy replied with a happy smile on her face, blushing a light shade of pink while she ran towards her boyfriend to hug him for assisting her with testing out the other spells of Light Angel Magic, "It probably does know that Thorn is dead, but that does not efface the curses that she put on it. Thorn made the book choose who would be its master, and I guess it's still loyal to both of us. It lets me use the spells for good purposes, but it has Thorn's nature by tending to play dirty. Anyway, that was a great battle. I really enjoyed it, Sting, even though it ended in a tie. I guess we can both open the treasure chest now."
Both of the mages shared a warm hug of happiness while blushing, enjoying the great amount of romantic chemistry that they had for each other, and they looked over to a crater behind them to see that one of the white blasts of light had decimated the treasure chest. It had been completely destroyed, having been smashed into pieces, but Sting and Lucy had seen something sitting in the center of where the treasure chest had once stood. The item appeared to be a brown bag, most likely used for storing loot, but both of mages still cautiously walked over to it. After all, they would not want a monster to come out of the bag with the intention to grab them.
When they close enough to where the brown bag was sitting, Lucy slowly undid the rope tied around it. She looked down at her white T-shirt, her blue jeans, and her red flat shoes. She hoped that her outfit would not arouse the monster in that bag, if there was a creature in that bag, and Lucy watched Sting stretch the left and right ends of the bag apart to see what was inside. He had been looking confident for taking on whatever was trying to be passed off as treasure, but it surprisingly was a large bag of golden jewels! Sting could only motion for Lucy to take a look at what was inside, and the brown-eyed girl gasped in shock while looking totally ecstatic about the fact that she and her boyfriend had just uncovered one of Fiore's greatest treasures. They were now very rich, wealthy enough because of the golden pieces of paper having the value of one million jewels, and all of that money would not be blown through in a short period of time.
Deciding to go through a little bit of romantic history, since it was where the two mages had shared their first kiss, Sting and Lucy decided that they would go to Magnolia for a nice date at Cafe Sonata. The pie there had been really delicious, really lovely to foreshadow the chemistry that the mages would have later on, and Sting felt like having it again. Spending time with Lucy was something that he found to be really enjoyable, and cutely feeding her some dessert would also be a lovely treat. He would purposely get it on her lips, only to get it off with a sweet kiss. Quite a good plan, right?
In the bathroom of a dorm room at Fairy Hills...
Cana had been taking a long and hot shower, feeling the warm beads of precipitation latch on to her skin, and she just could not see any point of going to the Fairy Tail guild today. She had not gone to the guild yesterday, either, and she had a large stock of alcohol that Karen had once brought her from the shadows. The brown-haired mage was still upset over the fact that she had lost her first lover, having witnessed the holy light ending the life of Karen with its radiance that repelled darkness, and Cana could only cry about the memories that came flooding into her mind.
She watched as the dirt and dust that coated her body had slid away, swirling around the drain before disappearing. Running her fingertips along her left arm, she felt the harsh bruises from the holy light begin to form. They would soon turn into a sickly purple hue against her skin, since the light had even passed through her clothes to strike every part of her body, and Cana could still feel the pain. Even though she was now back to being a human, the holy light had burned through her body. It was only thanks to Karen that Cana did not die, but the card mage was still upset about her lover's sacrifice.
She closed the shower door and leaned her head against the white tiled wall, tears streaming from her puffy red eyes down to her cheeks. Her throat constricted as the temperature began to increase and steam began to form, fogging up the glass door. Cana let her left hand gently touch the back of her neck, feeling the bite marks that Karen had once done to her for ownership in their relationship, and Cana could only wish that she had gone down to the shadows with Karen to be with her in the afterlife. She missed the kisses from her evil lover, wanting to feel her soft touch again, and Cana could only let her right hand go down to her rear to caress it softly.
The brown-haired mage tried to make herself feel good by soaping up her brown washcloth, and she smiled softly while rubbing her left breast in a slow and steady manner. It felt good to wash her with such ease, letting the faint feelings of pleasure cause her to blush, but Cana sighed sadly when she realized that her own touch was not like Karen's. It just didn't feel the same, not having the same sense of romance, and Cana had truly wished that the feeling of being evil was still flowing through her veins. She had actually felt happy with Karen, burning down buildings with the powers of explosive shadows, and they had even gotten romantic.
In one of Cana's dreams, before actually meeting the evil woman with silvery-blue hair, Karen had taken her up on a grassy hill to have a picnic lunch with her. They had enjoyed talking, giggling in bliss while blushing as they got to know each other some more, and Cana had been sighing happily in her sleep while she had been kissed on the lips by Karen. The shadows were certainly one of the most influential types of magic for a demon to be using, and they had helped Karen enter Cana's fantasies. She even caused the brown-haired girl to have wet dreams, pleasuring her even more.
Of course, Cana had never told anyone in the guild about the dreams that she was having. When Karen and her had faced off in the tag-team battle, Cana actually could not believe what her eyes could see. She wanted to be sure about Karen being the girl from her dreams, and that was why Cana had not helped Mira out back then. After seeing her powers of the shadows, Cana was convinced that Karen was the woman from her fantasies. The woman with silvery-blue hair had even asked the card mage about joining her for a blissful life in the darkness, but Cana had been too loyal to Fairy Tail to accept her offer from the very start.
As she began to turn off the water, opening the shower door while not minding that she was nude, Cana had remembered how her dreams had actually shown her to love being Karen's evil partner. These sexy and evil set of dreams had begun on the night after Lucy defeated Miyabi, the girl who had been picking on Cana, and the brown-haired mage had secretly wished to have enough power to defend herself. Karen had been offering her a free chance for strength, as well as a great love that they could share, but now Karen was gone. Even though she was evil, no matter what anybody in the guild would say, Cana still remained in love with her.
"It's no use, really. There's no way for me to enter the shadow world anymore, since I lost my abilities as a demon, and I'll never get to see Karen alive again. I was the one who destroyed Fairy Tail, not Thorn, so I should have just let the holy light kill me like how it had killed her and Karen. I should've accepted her offer for evil, and I loved every minute of being on the dark side. The wonderful romance between us may have turned me into a fairy that is still tainted by darkness, but I miss my deceptive and sexy Karen." Cana said to herself while looking utterly heartbroken, feeling the ghostly coldness in her room represent how she felt right now.
A familiar female voice spoke in a sultry tone from behind Cana, letting the younger girl gasp in shock before she blushed at the feeling of large breasts against her back, "I'm glad that you missed me enough to leave a little present in those roses that you left on my grave in the shadow world, Cana. It certainly helped me find my way back to my young lover of all things that are vile, and I'm glad that you've missed the darkness. Even though you're human now, you'll always be my lovely little demon."
Cana's purple eyes became filled with a look of curiosity about what Karen was talking about when she had mentioned the roses, and Cana had remembered that she had been missing one card from her deck. That was the Shadow Soul Card, a new card that had been made by Cana, but the brown-haired girl did not actually think that it had actually worked. That particular card had the ability to give life to a person's shadow or any other kind of shadow, and it could also be used to revive someone who had died. Well, since Karen was already dead, the sultry demon had no choice in the matter of being alive through her shadow taking over a younger body to return the evil demon to her original form. Even if a young woman's physical form was not the same, Karen's shadow would be that woman's shadow whenever she planned to take over her body.
Karen could only sigh in pleasure while wrapping her arms around her lover's waist, before Cana turned around to give her a passionate kiss on the lips to truly let the tactical demon know how she was dearly missed. Karen fell back on to the large green bed, before giggling happily at the sight of Cana on top of her, and she could only blush in a relaxed manner while feeling how Cana was so warm and wet from her shower. Karen had actually planned on joining her, wanting to surprise her girlfriend in a manner that would make her breasts bounce with delight, but this was also acceptable.
The long and hot shower had actually made Cana almost feel like she wanted to pass out, but she kept herself awake by rubbing Karen's body in a fast manner to produce some heat. She sighed happily from feeling Cana's soft touch, especially enjoying it when Cana's hands had caressed her stomach, and Karen enjoyed the scent of sweet honey shampoo in her hair. Being with the card mage right now had brought delight to Karen, enjoying it more than an evil scheme, and even romance had to get dark and dirty.
Upon hearing the doorknob to Cana's room turn for a moment, Karen simply pulled her lover down into the shadows to finish their love in the blissful darkness of the ghostly afterlife. Cana let out a moan of pleasure while blushing, as Karen made some shadows enter the brown-haired girl's private area to quickly burst into black smoke afterwards, and the black smoke was spreading throughout Cana's body to make her become a shadowy demon again. Besides, if the Fairy Tail guild ever kicked Cana out for joining up with the woman who deceived Lucy, then the two women could just live in the dark netherworld with Thorn while being around demons who also believed that romance was never good without a little bit of evil added to it.
Erza asked loudly in a stern tone with her brown eyes narrowed, before looking shocked at the fact that Cana was gone when she opened the door, "Who are you getting sexy with in there, Cana? You know that you have to be sober for jobs, right, and where did all this alcohol come from?"
How was Chapter 39? Did you like it? Lucy and Sting had another battle, and they are now quite wealthy! The StiCy is getting down to its final chapter, so stick around! Did you also like the fact that Natsu made amends with Lisanna? Sorry if I did it in a weird way, but the NaLi will be in the epilogue chapter. Did you also like Cana x Karen? Sorry if this pairing was underplayed, but I did not want too many plot lines in the story to get things confusing. Anyway, what will happen in the final chapter? Standby for the update!
