Well guys part two. However before we begin, I wish to thank the guest for his/her OC Ray, though I question how he was a S.E.A.L. after a prison sentence. Army I can understand but to go from one branch to another it would require another check. For those that do not know, the S.E.A.L teams or any branches of the defence force do a thorough background check. I also assume he was infantry instead of artillery or marksman. I also hope that a few more people send in OC's.
The scene itself unnerved several people in amongst the crowd. However, one of them remained static, almost as if he had seen worse. I decided not to question it as I turned around. "Anyone going to help me with carrying these weapons back with us. They're the same cartridge so that gets rid of ammo supply plus they're also the enemies weapons, we're bound to run into more along the way but I'd like at least over half of us to be armed and ready." I spoke seeing Chains walk forward. "I'll help carry them." With those words said, she began slowly picking the battle rifles off the ground; I saw that she was not expecting the weight. "I'll help her, she's inexperienced."
At the voice, I turned around to see the man that had remained static was walking towards me. His blue eyes seemed familiar though I could not place where. He was a built man though short; at first glance, I thought he was in his teenage years, his eyes however made me realise that he had been through tough times already. I saw a hidden pain in the eyes as well as an unwavering will that I had only seen once. I then finally remembered him I chuckled lightly. He looked confused before I stared at his eyes with my own. "How long has it been? Three years since we last worked together maybe more." I spoke seeing him smirk as he remembered.
I nodded and the three of us began carrying the rifles to the group, after showing them how to hold them we set of again. The unarmed ones were in the middle with armed ones standing all around them. We moved steadily into the forest, Chains at my side, the battle rifles were clearly intimidating as we moved through the forest, we all sounded like a tank that had broken down and was trying to start up again, crew talking and everything. I sighed as the noise we were making could attract wild Pokémon to us, the thought making me scan the area quickly. I saw nothing as we walked though I kept up my guard. I saw the warehouse in the distance. I quickly raised a hand with my hand clenched in a fist to stop them.
"I'm going to check out the area first, you never know where these slimy bastards are waiting." I said, slowly leaving the groups initial formation, shouldering the SCAR I took to slowly walking forwards. My aim centred around the warehouse doors. (I need to get a better angle but I cannot do it without exposing myself.) I thought before a smirk formed on my face as I slowly took my hand from the underside of the rifle to touch the amulet. With a quick change in mindset, I sank into the ground. With my body hidden amongst the shadows, I could see that there was a heavily armoured personnel carrier with a .50 calibre turret mounted on the front end where the passenger would be seated.
I materialized inside the warehouse with a frown on my face, the turret did not move so I raised a foot to see if it was activated by motion. When nothing happened, I slowly backed away from it. Fearing a sabotaged vehicle. Slowly the back door opened and several plasma grunts began to file out of it, slowly forming a circle around me. "You know this won't work." I said dejectedly. My mind slowly turning blank as the headlights on the vehicle died. It sent the soldiers into a minor panic making me smirk at the sight around me. "Surrender or die, freak." A grunt spat, my gaze hardened as I snapped my head to look at him seeing him immediately recoil.
"You know that might be intimidating, if you were…well intimidating." I stated my words were laced with a dark, almost foreboding chuckle. I slowly looked at them all, they all had some type of weapon, and I even saw a poor bastard had a CRKT Persian folder. My mind went back to how I lost it when I suddenly remembered him. "At last, the return of the coward. With a half vengeance, half a cup of pissing pants and of course. A slow and painful cup of pride being stung." I half dejectedly remarked sarcastically as I looked at him again. The look of anger on his face almost could have given Moltress a chuckle. I saw that he slowly walked forward, a fearful glint in his eyes as he smirked confidently.
I easily sidestepped him with my arm coming out and merely grasping his shoulder. "You should really not fall for anything. It could very well be a trap." I whispered into his ear, seeing him slowly start to shake as I gently pried the knife from his hands and, with a quick spin of the blade, held it in an ice pick grip. With a final movement, I plunged the blade deep into the back of his neck seeing him immediately crumple to the floor. "Must have hit the sweet spot, oh well, I was looking forward to seeing him in pain." I muttered my words hung in the air, creating an eerie silence around me that settled amongst the plasma grunts. Eventually one of them opened fire, the whip like cracks of his Makarov echoing in the warehouse.
Feeling his bullet fly right into my chest and stomach I decided to have a little fun, I staggered back, my arms dropping the SCAR at my feet as my upper body folded forward. At the noise, they all stopped moving, slowly beginning to think that they had actually wounded me. I let a smile show on my face, my eyes slowly closing as I focused more on hearing the enemy. They all were holding their breath in case I sprang to life. When I did not move, I heard a soldier on the far left start inching his way towards me. Deciding to toy with his mind, I twitched my fingers slightly. The effect was immediate. Men started screaming in fear and running back into the vehicle.
Chuckling lowly, I walked forward. My upper body slowly straightening up, I began to pick up the SCAR. "You guys are too easy to do this to. At least Magma and Aqua are honourable opponents; you guys are scared of anything nowadays." I spoke softly, yet my words definitely reached them in the vehicle as they were desperately trying to start it up. I sighed as I walked around the vehicle to the front of the personnel carrier with a friendly smile on my face. "You lads having trouble starting that vehicle?" I asked the two in the front seeing them look bewildered that I would, seemingly, be offering help to the enemy. They soon seemed to catch on that I was smirking at their trouble.
The turret, which had remained motionless, suddenly jerked to point the barrel at my feet. I sighed as I shook my head. "Suit yourselves." I whispered, my hands clenching to fists, as shadows seem to stretch from the walls, slowly, tauntingly, making their way towards the vehicle. A sudden weight made itself known in my hand. Looking down I was surprised to see a dark shadow like being standing beside me, its unnaturally calm amber eyes staring as the shadows crept up the wheels, licking the windows like flames. The panic in their voices was definitely noticeable with my ears slowly taking in the sounds of their fear. Some of them praying to their families in a last attempt at repentance.
I watched the scene as the shadows had fully engulfed the vehicle, which is when the screaming began; the whole warehouse filled with the echoes of the sounds of bones being grinded, crushed, broken as well as screams of agony and fear. My gaze unwavering; slowly, the shadows slunk away back to the corners of the warehouse. "Been a while since I've seen you Ishmal. You didn't come for friendly chatter so what is it you need of me to do this time?" I asked as I slowly turned to face the shadow. Hearing it chuckle in a tone that oozed cunning and maliciousness. "Reaver, you know why I've come here. I think it's time you and I really come to terms with ourselves."
His voice turned serious as he continued. "And we both know that there is a bounty on your head for the last time a being of the third ring appeared before you all those years ago, we still remember Reaver." Ishmal stated my eyes hardening to stone as I turned to face him. "You know fully that the being that appeared that day I had been hunting for a long time. You can fight me, but you know what happens if you do and it's not authorized by a superior ring." I warned as I took an appropriate stance. His eyes flickered for the briefest of moments to a ruby red before he charged. I easily sidestepped him, when I realised it was not him at all. "Identify yourself."
My command made the imposter shudder, a flash of a Zoroark appearing before me. I suddenly stepped forward, placing a hand on the chest of the imposter. "I have enough energy left to blast a hole clear through here, so reveal yourself to me. It is pointless to deny that I do not know, you can never hold up an illusion for long." I stated hearing a feminine sigh come from the imposter before the illusion faded. I was stunned to see the Zoroark from the hall to be here. "So the shadows were Darkrai I assume?" I asked her seeing her nod. "Alright, let's get going." I said as I slowly began to shift. My skin paling, my hair turning a fiery orange, my breath turning into raged gasps.
My vision lost some of its colour in return it sharpened. My nose picked up the scents of the group that were still where I left them. I slowly began to feel my bones break, my canines sharpening, appearing feral and animalistic. The bones in my back clicked, clacked and snapped before finally staying motionless. My breathing slowly starting to return to normal I looked and saw that the Zoroark had disguised herself as me. "You know Chains won't buy that illusion for a second." I said to her, my voice sounding gruff from the shift. "She knows what you will become so she will hopefully not do anything irrational." She said, noticing she had missed my voice by a slight pitch.
"You should head out first, I'll follow close behind." I said as I heard the group start asking questions. The Zoroark nodded and walked out of the warehouse. I followed close behind her, making sure to act like the Pokémon I had shifted into, my mane flowing stoically in the wind as the group made themselves known. As expected Chains clenched her fists at the sight of the illusion but quickly calmed down at seeing me. "Let's get inside." The Zoroark stated making me grin as she tried to copy my apathetic tone. The group seemed to buy it except for the man I knew. He walked forward, rifle shouldered. "Reveal yourself." He simple stated his finer moving to the trigger.
Acting fast I spoke up. "At ease there mate, the caster is on our side." I said slowly, to avoid a misfire. He swivelled around to point the barrel at me with a small amount of fear in his eyes. "What the hell are you?" He asked in terror. I sighed as I began the painful shift back into my human form. When the process ended, I was on my hands and knees with orange and black striped clothing. "You might never know mate." I grunted. My arms burned as I forced them to make me stand up. "You never really did shift back in the hall; I'm surprised you would do so now." The Zoroark stated with a casual smirk, my eyes widened slightly as she spoke. "You know better than that Leila. Don't go spouting about that in areas where others are around." Chains said in a slightly panicked voice.
Leila just smirked. "You know the renegades never followed the rules of the other two. Plus, we've been indirectly supporting Leone here since he was banished." She spoke, my eyes hardening as I turned around. "You two can continue this argument when we begin training inside the warehouse. I will also need help finding bedding suitable enough to hold these numbers. So if you two want to argue, do it in your own time when we actually are not pressed for time." I stated with a serious tone. Seeing them both nod at my words. We all decided that setting up camp was the top priority so we began setting up camp. When we were finished, the sun was setting. I sighed as I surveyed the camp we had established, it looked like a small village hidden in the forest.
I looked around at the concealed underground houses we had made. Several slight variations in the grass pattern marked out where each home resided. "You do realize that they lack any real structure." Leila spoke as she sat next to me in her Pokémon form. "True, however this is only temporary. When we become more comfortable around one another we will reinforce the homes with as much as we can." I spoke, not looking her in the eyes. "What if they attack before then?" Chains asked as she sat on the opposite side of me. "Then we have no choice, but we can't do anything right now, let us let them settle in for now." I sighed as I stood up, walking back towards the house of my own. "You two coming or not?" I asked them, seeing them immediately join my side made me laugh quietly.
As we walked through the open area, a layer of grass lifted. A Luxray poked its head out. Upon seeing me, it seemed ecstatic. "I can't believe it, it's you again." The Luxray spoke making me laugh lightly as I remembered. "Voltra, how are you?" I asked as she launched herself into my chest, laughing. "I'm great, but what about you?" She asked me as my mood darkened slightly. "I've been doing fine. Did you manage to find them?" I asked her seeing her eyes start to tear up. I immediately regretted asking that, I embraced her tighter as she began to softly cry into my chest. "Leone how do you know this Luxray?" Chains asked. I smiled softly. "I know her because she was a one of the few that wanted to know me, after I saved her from a plasma testing facility. I still to this day can't figure out what their objective was."
The moment was ruined when a female voice scolded from the home Voltra had ran from. "Voltra, you know better than that." She snapped, I looked up and saw another familiar face. "It is good to see you again, Alice." I whispered as her eyes widened at my voice. "Matthew is it really you after all these years?" She asked me making me sigh in defeat as I nodded. "I don't know what to say, I want to get angry because of the fact that this could be some elaborate joke, but with what I saw earlier today I know it is not a joke. Nevertheless, I can feel sympathy for you. So much now weighing on you, I can offer to help but it seems you have it covered." She said with a sly wink.
My eyes hardening I sighed in frustration. "Still the same, you know I never cared for that." I said feeling Chains place a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I know, but it's too easy to get to you." She said, I nodded and bid them farewell. "Leone, do you know what she meant?" Chains asked making me chuckle lightly. "I guess it all comes down to what you make of it, she meant a more sexual meaning to the phrase but it can be taken in a non-sexual context." I responded hearing Leila laugh heartily. "So you have no experience?" She taunted, I sighed, as I knew that was coming. "I actually do have some experience believe or not." I said which made Leila stop dead.
"Not that funny when someone isn't embarrassed or flustered is it?" I asked her with a sly smirk making its way onto my own face. "Shut up." Leila playfully snarled at me, a slight chuckle escaping me. We continued on our walk until we reached the house. Amy was in the window, when she spotted me the door flew open, a golden yellow blur slammed into my chest making me wheeze slightly from the force of the impact. "What happened to your trench coat?" Amy asked. "I guess it is still in the warehouse." I stated, walking inside seeing the young ones staring at Chains and Leila with confusion. Surf then walked up. "Are these two also helping you?"
I only nodded in response, she nodded as well, returning to the Eevee's that quickly huddled around her. "I will be taking my leave for the night." I spoke. However, before I could Amy questioned me. "Did you have anything to eat at all the last few days?" She asked her tone turning into worry. I thought back and realizing I had not had any real thing that would count. I walked into the kitchen with Amy following behind. I noticed that a bowl of berries on the table. Thinking they were for the young ones, I left them. Only for Amy to place an Oran berry into the palm of my hand. I bit into it without saying anything seeing Chains looking through the house.
An Eevee pup walked up to me with a small frown on its face. "Are you going to be going away?" She asked me, her eyes beginning to tear up. I kneeled down to her level after I finished the berry. "I have to young one; the ones that hurt you and the rest are still out there. If this place becomes under the control of the other regions, it will be more of the same, someone has to take a stand, be a beacon for others who want to do the same but fear the reaction." I responded, slowly rubbing the top of her head to calm her down. When she had calmed down, I stood up, walking to the room that used to belong to me. "Leila, you can rest in here, it should be comfortable enough to sleep in."
Leila nodded, entering the room and closing the door behind her. I continued walking, when I reached the room that I now occupied I opened the door. "Chains, you can sleep here, it should be to your liking." I said; turning around she had turned into her Pokémon form. "Leone I can't help but wonder where you will sleep." She said; I nodded slightly. "I can use the main room; the fireplace should be able to suffice me through the night." I said. However, Chains wrapped her tail around my wrist. Slowly dragging me to the bed, I closed the door before complying. Lying down on the bed I felt Chains hop up to rest next to me, her muzzle resting on my shoulder. Sighing, I pulled the blanket over us, feeling Chains shuffle closer to me, her muzzle now in the crook of my neck I closed my eyes and felt sleep call me.
Well…How do I think this story is going? I honestly think I need some ideas for the story to reach…35, maybe 40… yeah, you all heard me; I want this thing to reach 40 chapters, hold your applause and opening of the wine and champagne…to late… ah well. However, to do that I need ideas and inspiration. So please send in some ideas no matter how silly it may be. The only idea I will not accept is "Should have a harem." Why? Because this is the story, I want to look back on and be able to see it as an accomplishment, not some masturbation material.
