Chapter 15

Sunstreaker's POV

"Hey Sunny!" My annoying twin Sideswipe called over to me. This better be important! I'm in the middle of waxing….

"What?"

"Wanna meet Rhythm and the others to get some high grade?" Hmm…. High grade does sound

"Later Sides. I'm waiting for a call." I decide to wax the rest later, I'm not going out so no bot will see me. I walk past Sides and drink some regular energon; its tiring waxing!

"Who would be calling you sunshine?"

"Don't call me that!" I growl, trying not to smash my cube.

"Well? Who you waiting for?" Sides says crossing his arms waiting for my answer.

Sigh

"If you must know dumb-aft! It's Lucy." I grumble out….. And here comes the teasing!

"Oh err Lucy? So… um… When she err calling?" Sideswipe stuttered.

Wait. Sideswipe. Stuttered?!

"Yeah…. She went with Ironhide to the new base in Kaon I think."

Sideswipe's optics widen

"She's in Kaon?! How can you think that's okay?!" He yelled walking up and down the living room, and I'm pretty sure he's making a hole…..

"Woah Sides! The base is on the outskirts of Kaon. Relax will ya? Ironhide, Optimus Prime and all tons of other bots are there too! She's safe." I say slowly to my raging brother.

But before he could come up with another excuse to worry, my pad staring to ring. Only a couple of bots around here having these messaging pads, it's only connected with Lucy's pad. Since she's not able to have more than two comm links, Ratchet and Que created the messaging pad. This way, she can message or ring anybot with the codes.

I reach down and picked my pad up and place it up to my face, I think Lucy said humans call this 'Facetime'?

Our pads connect and it doesn't take long to see that beautiful face looking back at me. Okay fine, yes I have strong feelings for Lucinda Prime! I have since we first met, but I guess I didn't know it just yet. Ever since I saw what our future may be, I wanna make it come true! Except that part where we nearly offline…. But the part where we fall in love and having sparkling's of our own! And I'm gonna make sure it happens! When she comes back home, I'll bring her back to my place and tell her!

"Sunstreaker!"

"Hey Lucy. How are you?"

"I'm good thank you. I've just got ready for tonight's celebration with the other soldiers."

Just when I was about to ask about the 'celebration', Sides decided to push his face into the screen viewing to Lucy.

"Hey! There's my girl!" Sideswipe chuckled. I wish the idiot would learn she's not 'his' girl! The last couple of months I've noticed that he's been very clingy with Lucy, he's probably doing it to make me jealous! Always wondering what she's doing, who's she with and blah blah. Like me, Sides isn't happy when she's hanging out with other mech's…

Lucy's giggle brought me out of my thoughts.

"Hello Sideswipe. Good to see you too!"

"So what's this celebration about?" My twin questioned first.

"Oh just celebrating the opening of the base I think. And that no Decepticons have located the base."

And… Maybe their second Prime has arrived?" Sides chuckled.

"I highly doubt that Sideswipe. They have Optimus Prime here; why would they be thrilled because I'm here?"

"Because Miss Prime! You're destined for amazing things, everybot in all of Cybertron knows that! Heck, you've even started it."

"Yeah!" Sides jumped in. "Didn't you tell us you've donated over 500 credits to the building sites around Cybertron?"

"Well…. I just did what any other bot would have done. I know it's a lot of credits, but I'm not going to use it all anytime soon." Lucy blushed.

"You're something you know Lucy." I suddenly spoke up to the blushing femme. She looked up in slight confusion.

"You're the only Cybertronian I know who spends all those credits for anybot but themselves."

"Thank you Sunstreaker."

"Hey Lucy? I really mean that."

She giggled slightly and smiled shyly.

"I know you do. Well I'm sorry to cut this meeting short, but Dad will be here soon to pick me up. I'll comm again tomorrow."

"Bye Lucy!" I and Sideswipe said before Lucy waving and ending the comm call.

Sides suddenly roughly pushed past me and walked over the door. However, he paused and looked back at me with an unreadable look on his face.

"What was that?! You're really something Lucy!"

"Umm…. I was being truthful? You know she's too modest for her own good Sides."

He just huffed at that.

"Why does it bother you?"

"Whatever. I'm going out." He said before slamming the door on his way out.

What's his problem?

Lucinda's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and energised for the upcoming day. Optimus found me sometime later last night and promised to spend the day with me! I have always loved and respected my brother since I was a sparkling, but sadly he didn't always have the time to have some brother-sister bonding time together.

I noticed Dad had already gone for his morning energon, so I quickly grab my back-pack and grab the clothing I would need for this special day; I wanted to look formal for my brother after all. I picked a pretty black dress that went a bit over my knees, it was cropped at the top part but connected to the waist part of the dress. The top of the dress was white and the bottom was pure black, I matched the dress with black flat shoes with white tips. I left my hair curly going down my back.

KNOCK KNOCK

I knew it was Optimus at the door, he was the only bot who knocked loudly and yet so carefully!

"Come in Optimus." I yelled out, praying that he heard my quiet (to him) call.

The door slid open and Optimus walked over to me and placed his palm out to me, ready to take me out for the day; or at least take me out this room!

"Are you looking forward to what I have planned Lucinda?" My brother asked as he started walking down the hall somewhere.

"When I find out what you have planned, I'm sure I will." I laughed up to Optimus.

"All will be revealed soon."

We entered his office I believed and sat me on his desk, I looked and noticed not only did he leave my morning energon; but also some delicious fruits from home.

"I thought we could start with breakfast together." He sat down on his chair and held his cube of energon.

"I would be delighted."

For a while we discussed how training had been going and what jobs Optimus believed I would be doing and helping with once I graduated. The morning was going perfectly, until the door opened revealing….

"Ultra-Magnus."

"My apologies for interrupting Sir, but Decepticon activity has become active." He rushed out, yet still speaking calmly.

"Very well. I will joined you momentarily."

Ultra-Magnus nodded and jogged out the office. I looked to see my brother smiling sadly at me before placing his palm down for me again.

"Lucinda….."

"Please Optimus. It's fine! I know you're busy with the base."

"I promise I will make it up to you." I only nodded, not trusting my voice to speak again.

"Would…. Would you mind leaving by the cafeteria hallway? Bumblebee took me there last night."

"As you wish."

It only took a couple of seconds for him to drop me off. And of course reminding me to stay out of sight and to use my skills if only necessary.

The mech I had met known as Soundwave, asked to meet me here in a few more hours. But maybe he was out there!

I took the chance and walked through the giant door again and made my tracks to find the hidden mech.

"I see your allies took the bait."

That deep voice could only belong to Soundwave! I turned to the right and saw him just…. Standing there. Like he was waiting for me to come to him.

"The alarm. It was you?"

"Indeed." He nodded.

"But why? I had planned to meet you, there was no need."

He quickly and yet gently plucked me from the ground and put me in his left hand. Before I could speak again, he spoke first.

"If we are to discuss further, we need to move quickly."

Soundwave had told me it was too risky to transform, since everybot at the base was on high alert. We reached the old energon factory in minutes, it seemed he changed it to a new base for himself. I assumed it was only for himself since Soundwave didn't seem like the type of mech to have partners….

"Why did you bring me here?"

"For many decades I have been praying Primus with only one wish; to start again. New life is the only solution to bring peace to both Autobot and Decepticons alike. A few joors ago, Primus approved."

"Soundwave. I want this over as much as you do, but is bring a….. A sparkling into war the solution? It would be a sparkling! It would need to grow and learn before placing it in danger."

"Primus deemed it so. However, it requires not having contact with any Autobots for a couple of months. Enough time to be accustomed to the sparkling, and so you."

Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew he was staring into my spark.

"Would you be by my side?" I asked quietly.

He shook his head.

"Not until the sparkling is ready."

"I don't want to do this alone. I don't think I can Soundwave." I slightly cried to myself. Soundwave kneeled in front of me and used his diget (finger) to lift my chin up gently.

"Just think of all the lives you would be saving. And that you would never be along ever again, for you have someone relying on you. A child would look up to you for advice, for love."

"Never alone?"

"Never again. Think of all the memories you would have with your sparkling."

"Don't you mean our sparkling?" He only stared. "No. My sparkling. Mine until he or she is ready."

"Correct."

I looked around the room before walking closer to Soundwave.

"So…. When do we start? I mean…. How would it be possible?"

"We both connect to Primus and wait until the sparkling is brought to us. Much like how you were brought to this world all those years ago."

"I better call some bots. I'll say… I'm making an expedition for the next couple of months and for them not to worry."

"Let us begin."
