Sera's POV

Not realising how, the weekend had already arrived. Things had been getting busier and busier these days with everything at GEH. Dad's project sailed and it was already blossoming. I couldn't believe how thing manage to work out.

Since Natalie and I received our results, we were spending more time together these days. We finally could rest our minds. We both got perfect scores, and were planning to attend to the same college. The only thing against us… well… me… was convincing dad on renting dorms. His words were '…we have perfectly good beds here… I'd rather drive you…'. Guess there was no way where Natalie and I can share our dorms. There was only one thing that Natalie didn't take into consideration when she applied for college… the baby… she's having him now… she's been in labour for the past 12 hours. Taylor seems to be losing his mind, and Lisa… well she is her mother… and she very worried.

'Honey…' Dad started. 'You've been here for over 8 hours… why don't I take you home and rest?' He suggested as he pulled me to his side.

'I'm fine dad…' I smiled. 'I want to see my godson being born…' I smiled as we heard another scream from inside. 'Damn… are they killing her or what?'

'It's labour munchkin…' Mum replied as she joined us. 'I was like that with you…'

'You were?'

'Your mother almost died while giving birth to you…' Dad replied as he kissed my forehead. 'I thank heavens for letting me have you both…'

'I'm sorry mum…' I replied as I held her hand.

'Hey… it's not your fault… we wanted you so bad… We had been trying for years!'

'…and finally you came into our lives.'

'Do you regret it mum?' I asked her again. '…because of me you never got to have any more kids…'

'Hey… we got to have Jason…' Dad comforted.

'…and I got to have my angel…' Mum added. 'If I had to go back in time, the only thing I… we would change is to never having pushed you away…' she continued. '…besides… someday you'll give us grandchildren…'

'You've got to wait a lot for those!' I chuckled.

'Good…' Dad replied. 'I want to have my baby with me for now… Carter can have you later… well you'll always be mine, ours, you will never be his…'

'Dad…' I stopped him. 'I get it…' I chuckled as we heard another scream.

'Where is Carter?' Mum asked. 'He was here few minutes ago…'

'He had to go home… he said something about some fire at his company…'

'Fire?' Dad asked.

'Yeah… his secretary left the kettle on…'

'Where was her head?' Dad asked astonished.

'Where was her body you should say…' I laughed as I got a stern questioning look from both my parents. 'He'll tell you when he comes back…'

Natalie's POV

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!'

'Come on ladybug… you can do this baby girl…' Dad tried again as I squeezed his hand and Mark's.

'Mark, if you ever impregnate me again I will fucking kill you!' I screamed as another contraction hit again.

'Push harder now Natalie… I can see the head… Come on… push harder and you'll have your son…' Dr. Greene guided. 'Good… that's good, you're almost there… Now on your next contraction, I want you to give it all you've got… ok?' She asked again while I nodded and other contraction hit hard. I pushed as much as I could, and finally I could hear my son's cries. 'You did great Natalie…' She said again as she handed me my son. I couldn't hold my tears any longer. All the pain… all those long hours… they finally paid off and I had my son.

'Dad…'

'Yes honey…' He smiled. I could see his eyes glistening… My mother held on dad's back. I could see them happy.

'Thank you for not letting me give him up or…'

'Natalie…' Dad said again as he hugged me tight. 'I love you Natalie…'

'I love you too daddy…' I replied as I saw Mark becoming pale.

'Mark?' Dad asked.

'Um… yeah?'

'I'll take him outside… he's about to faint in here…' Dad said as he helped him out.

Taylor's POV

'Are you afraid of blood?'

'At that amount? Yes…' Mark admitted as I took him out, and Sera, Christian and Ana stood up immediately.

'Is she ok?' Ana started.

'Did Natalie have the baby?' Sera continued.

'How is she? Is everything ok?' Christian asked again.

'Everything is great…' I smiled. 'She had a boy…'

'Can I see them?'

'Sure…' I smiled. 'Oh… and Sera… thanks…' I winked at her. Natalie was at the Grey's when she went into labour, and if it wasn't for Sera's constant care to Natalie till we arrived to the hospital, we wouldn't have coped. I was a panic station myself. This wasn't some damn other person… this was my own flesh and blood.

'She's family Taylor…' She smiled back as she went in.

Sera's POV

I was overwhelmed with the tears of joy both Lisa and Natalie where having. The baby was so small in her arms. He had red cheeks, and he was so small. Dad pulled me close to him, while my mother held me tight from my shoulders.

'Grey are you going to stand there, or are you going to hold your godson?' Natalie started. She was still the same bossy girl I knew. Good… I loved her this way… I was only hoping she won't have the baby blues now. 'Grey!' She said again as I moved towards her. Not knowing how, I felt my heart skipping beats. The baby in her hands was so small… so peaceful. He wasn't crying… he was doing nothing except holding his hand upwards. I moved forward lightly. 'Come on Grey…' She said again as she handed me the baby. He was so small in my arms. I sat down on the nearby chair, not wanting to drop the little prince. He was so sweet. He had Mark's eyes, and Natalie's lips. He reached forward and touched my nose.

'What's his name?' I asked her.

'Well… we were going with Matthew first…' She started. '…but we decided to name him Jace.' She smiled. 'Ja for my father, Jason, and ce, for mum…' She replied. 'We change the 's' to 'c'.'

He's beautiful…' Mum commented as I handed her Jace. He was so tiny. I could feel my mother wanting to squeeze him. Dad moved forward and gave him his finger. He was all mushy when it came to kids, however the nurse soon came.

'Ms. Flynn, it's time for the baby to sleep…' She started as we handed Jace back to Natalie.

'Ok…' she smiled as she handed her Jace. 'Sera… you should go home…you've been here for hours!'

'If you want I can stay…' I offered. 'I can…'

'Sera… honey…' Lisa came forward. 'Thanks for everything you've done with Natalie, but you need to rest honey…'

'They're right…' Dad agreed as he held me from my shoulders.

'Ok…' I smiled.

'I'll call you or text you if I need anything…' Natalie smiled. '…and take care of the brosnan guy you have…' she winked.

'I'll keep you updated…' I chuckled. 'Now you sleep…' I smiled.

'I will… I'm exhausted…' she smiled. 'Thanks Christian… Ana…' She continued.

'It was our pleasure…' Dad smiled. '…and this is something from all of us…' He said again as he handed Natalie an envelope. She opened it still staring at him.

'Christian… I… I can't accept this…' She started.

'You can and you will… The kid will need a lot of funding. Take it as an early Baptism gift…' He smiled again.

'Sera…'

'You hear the boss…'

'Thank you Christian…' she said again. 'I don't know how I can ever repay you…'

'No need… for as long as you are safe and healthy, then everything will be ok…' He smiled again as we made our way out.

After a full afternoon of still discussing things and talking about how sweet and beautiful Jace is, I decided to maybe talk about the elephant in the room that we had been trying to avoid for these last couple months. Dad wasn't thrilled about the idea, but I only had to try. If I was as good as my mother, I would have managed to convince him. I only had to try. I only had to figure out how to start the conversation.

Christian's POV

Although we all were in deep conversation about everything that happened these last few days, I could see that Sera was lost in deep thought. I knew she wanted to say something… she wanted to for the last couple of days. I decided to help her out… whatever it is wouldn't be so bad.

'Sera…' I touched her hand lightly.

'Yeah…' She quickly replied.

'Are you ok?'

'Yeah… why do you ask?'

'Well… for starters you're lost in your own world…' I started.

'…and secondly…' Ana added. '…you're quiet…'

'I'm always quiet mum…'

'Sera… what's wrong?'

'Nothing dad… it's just… I was thinking about college…'

'Oh…' I replied as I continued engaging into my dinner, while she toyed with hers. 'What are you thinking about?'

'It's just…. Dad it's going to be tiring going to and fro from college to here… I think it's best if I stay at the dorms. I'll gain 2 to 3 hours extra sleep every day. The library is closely situated, there is a study garden, a track…'

'Sera…' I cut her off. 'You know that my answer is no… there is no way in hell that I'm allowing you to live at the dorms, when I afford driving you…'

'…but dad…'

'No buts Sera!' I stopped again.

'Christian…' Ana tried. 'She maybe right… I went to college and I had to rent dorms…'

'…but you lived in Georgia Ana… and you know that money for me is not a problem…'

'Dad give me one good reason why you're not letting me do this! I'm 18 for God's sake! I'm legally of age!'

'You may be legally of age, but till you live under my roof you'll do as I say!'

'I already do as you say! You don't let me drive, you don't let me have a car… hell… you still follow Carter and I when we go on our dates!' She reasoned.

'Sera, it's only been a week since you've become 18… age doesn't make you an adult…' I challenged.

'…but it made you! You dropped out of Harvard didn't you?'

'Dammit… I was different Sera Elizabeth!' I retorted. 'You are not me, and for sure I never starved myself or cut myself when I was stressed out…'

'Wait… is that it?' She asked. 'You don't trust me? How could you?'

'It's not you that I don't trust Sera! It's…' I tried. 'Damn I shouldn't have said that!' I thought to myself. 'Sera you can relapse and I want to be able to catch you in time if you do so… I know the cycle… and you did it in front of our eyes. If you're at the dorms, I know what you'll do… you'll close yourself in there, you'll forget to eat… you pile on work… I see you the way you handle things at GEH… you take more paperwork that I've ever taken myself in an hour!'

'Dad I'm just productive…'

'No… you're a perfectionist Sera!' I explained as she let her gaze drop down.

'Honey… it's not that we don't trust you… it's just…' Ana tried. 'We don't want to lose you. If you're at the dorms we'll only see you for couple of weeks on holidays… and what if you do relapse? What if something happen and we're not there to help? Not to mention… what about some crazy stalkers… besides… once we fully move to Aspen, you'll be more close to University…'

'Peanut… don't take this the wrong way… but I need to know that you are safe and healthy… and the only way I can do that is by keeping you under my eyes…' I explained.

'Yeah…' She replied disappointed as she stood up from the table.

'Wow… where are you going?'

'To my room… I need to keep packing…'

'You can do it later…' I ordered. 'You have to eat…'

'Not hungry…' She replied.

'Why aren't you hungry?' I asked again. We kept our promise. Whenever she wasn't hungry she had to tell me the why. Till now it worked. I was only hoping that it keeps working.

'I'm tired dad… I just want to sleep…' She replied.

'I thought you were going to pack…' I said again as I got up and moved in front her.

'Both…'

'Sera… please, come and eat… you haven't had anything besides the sandwich.' I replied as I guided her back to the table. 'Look, if you eat a decent amount, then you can go…' I smiled.

'Ok…' She agreed. 'What about the dorms?' She tried again.

'Sera, you know that the answer is no… and it will remain no…' I replied again. 'Now please, this discussion is over, you are not renting dorms. Am I clear?'

'Crystal Sir…'
