Genesect and Red Genesect are in space after the liftoff was commenced. While they are in their rocket ship, Genesect's rocket separates from the following list in order: Two Solid Rocket Boosters, S-IC first stage, S-II second stage, S-IVB third stage, Instrument unit, and then the command module with the cap being detached. The command module then goes to the modified lunar module, which resembles the space pod, and it attaches the lunar module, thus connecting it. After the lunar module is connected to the command module, Genesect climbs aboard into the lunar module while Red Genesect stays in the command module.
As Genesect climbed inside the modified lunar module, Genesect discovered unusual controls that are more modern than normal. "Red Genesect," notified Genesect. "Come check this out!"
Red Genesect climbs aboard into the modified lunar module. Upon climbing aboard into the modified lunar module, Genesect points, "Wow! Look at this button; there is a combat mode button in addition to the upgrades to the lunar module."
"Why not give it a go, shall we?" offered Red Genesect. "But first, let's separate the command module now that we are on board into the modified lunar module."
Before activating combat mode, the command module separates the modified lunar module now that the two passengers are in the modified lunar module. The purple bug presses the button that the buzzer buzzes. And with that, the space pod transforms into an awesome starship fighter, which resembles a jet fighter.
"Not only that, but it also has some cool weapons installed too," boasted Genesect.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Red Genesect in surprise. "I didn't notice that it can turn into a starship fighter that has weapons! That is so cool!"
Abruptly, the duo encounters a flying object from the ninth dimension. The flying object transmits an important message to the starship fighter. As they receive the message into the starship fighter, Red Genesect plays the message.
The message says, "Genesect, Red Genesect, I am glad you two are now in space. Before I tell you two about your first mission, I will tell you the story. Long ago, the Infected Alien Squad, or the I.A.S. for short, were once an ordinary school of Tentacool. These pesky Tentacool were invasive species raiding the lakes and ponds of planet Floria Flabébé. After discovering a school of Tentacool infesting the palace, they were then sealed into an aquarium. Abruptly, a meteor has impacted onto the backyard of the palace. Deoxys, with the cyan crystal on its chest, permanently infected the school of Tentacool to give them the upper hand. As a result of the exposure, they became a school of Infected Tentacool, which changed their types from Water/Poison-Types into pure Psychic-Types. Not only they have the move sets of the Tentacool evolutionary line, but they also have Psychic-Type moves too along with a few other moves and high intelligence. Although, Psycho Boost, Deoxys' signature move, is not included. Thus, the Infected Alien Squad was born. One Infected Tentacool evolves into an Infected Tentacruel, thus crowning himself to become the Infected Tentacruel King Overlord as he equipped himself with a crown and a black regal cape. The I.A.S. waged war against the fairies in Floria Flabébé. As the Infected Alien Squad's revenge plot was foiled, the Floette Princesses had banished the evil space invaders to Planet Yranuinic Yards, the Saturn-like planet, which was desolate. Eventually, the I.A.S. colonized the planet to create their kingdom as they constructed their castle. And that is the story of the Infected Alien Squad's origin."
"Goodness gracious!" exclaimed Red Genesect, as he was surprised by the backstory. "I didn't know that!"
"Now comes another story. Long ago, in the Floette Kingdom solar system in the ninth dimension, in the planet Floria Flabébé, every 3000 years, the six Floette Princesses, Red Floette, Blue Floette, Orange Floette, White Floette, Yellow Floette, and Shiny Eternal Flower Floette celebrates all Fairy-Type Pokémon. The Shiny Eternal Flower Floette had planted a seed for the Giant Eternal Flower on one of the five planets of the Floette Kingdom solar system. When a flower is fully grown, but not bloomed, the six Floette Princesses give their Fairy-Type energy from their flowers to the Giant Eternal Flower to fertilize and bloom the Giant Eternal Flower. When the Giant Eternal Flower is bloomed, the Fairy-Type energy spreads throughout the Floette Kingdom solar system. The spread of the Fairy-Type energy, from the Giant Eternal Flower, then gives the energy back to the six Floette Princesses and makes Fairy-Type Pokémon stronger and healthier. However, during today's celebration, the Shiny Eternal Flower Floette has planted the seed of the Giant Eternal Flower into Planet Yranuinic Yards. You already know about the backstory of the I.A.S., but the Infected Tentacruel King Overlord and his army were not invited for today's celebration. The Giant Eternal Flower was planted on the back of their castle. Due to the Infected Tentacruel King Overlord's jealousy for the celebration, his army will invade Floria Flabébé and capture the six Floette Princesses into keepsake jars. And that is the story about the Giant Eternal Flower tradition. Lastly, your first mission is to warn the citizens of Floria Flabébé about the I.A.S. invasion. Good luck, Genesect and Red Genesect."
As the message ended, the flying object flies away.
Meanwhile, the Infected Hexacool, piloting his invisible UFO, is following the starship fighter. As he heard the story of the Giant Eternal Flower, he takes notes on Microsoft Word with his tablet. "Very interesting story," said the Infected Hexacool. "When I come to Floria Flabébé, unharmed and stealthily, I will take a quick picture what the planet's civilization looks like, so my king can know where the civilization is located at."
In the starship fighter, Genesect says, "Next stop, the Floette Kingdom solar system. To the ninth dimension! Away!"
Genesect activates the hyperspace feature as the starship fighter dives into a wormhole while the Infected Hexacool stealthily follows the duo in their starship fighter.
